The night was still. Dark and quiet. Only the rustling of the large Oak trees and the soft chirping of crickets could be heard within the massive mansion known as Wyndemere. However not everything was as tranquil as it seemed. Within the darkness stood Helena Quartermaine, looking down upon her nephew whom was laying in his bed. She stood tall; with a look of prestige. She stood completely emotionless. Taking his warm hand within hers, she lifted her chin a little higher--a mannerism Helena was frequently known for, and lowered her eyes.
"Oh AJ..."
Her voice low and soft, the only sound to be heard within the large bedroom........Until Emily’s blood curdling screams. As the young Quartermaine opened AJ’s bedroom door, the hallway lights shined upon the young man. The hallway lights showed the truth. AJ had been murdered; a hole completely burnt through his chest. Helena slowly turned her head to Emily as the woman came rushing over to her deceased brother, panic stricken. Within those few moments, the rest of the Quartermaine’s slowly showed up. One by one. All shocked. All staring in horror.
Gently dropping AJ’s hand, Helena slowly backed away, lowering her eyes to the floor. Turning from the scene, she placed her hand on an old wooden chair which was tucked under a desk, gripping it tightly. Glaring out the window...the first signs of emotion could finally be seen by Helena. Pure ANGER. Allowing her eyes to slowly trail down towards the desk, they soon rested upon a photograph of AJ and Alexis. Clenching her teeth together, she placed her free hand on top of the picture frame. Taking one last look at the joyful snapshot....Helena slammed it forward, breaking the glass instantly. With that, she proceeded to storm out of AJ’s room, rushing down the stairs to the foyer. Snapping her fingers fiercely...five men appeared out of no where, following behind her. With a malicious tone.
"We have work to do."
