Lohan the One for WONDER WOMAN?

Although no talks have even begun, Lindsay Lohan thinks playing the role of Wonder Woman in the upcoming feature would be "cool."

Everybody is wondering which woman will be Wonder Woman. If it were up to starlet Lindsay Lohan, she says she'd take the pilot's seat in the invisible jet in a heartbeat. Buffy the Vampire Slayer vet Joss Whedon is currently developing a feature film based on the comic book superheroine for Warner Bros. Pictures.

While Lohan admits that she's currently looking for roles outside her current milieu of teen a kiddie films, she thinks playing Diana Prince would be too cool. "Wonder Woman would be cool. I'm trying to find roles right now that are different to anything I've done to show my abilities, to show that I have some sort of stretch in me. Because most of the things that I've done so far are aimed at younger girls and are light-hearted," she recently told OK! magazine.

Before focusing on any other film projects, however, Lohan wants to get her album completed. “I’m trying to work on some lyrics for my next album in my free time. It’ll be a little different to the last one – I’m starting recording next month," she said in OK!.

For four seasons Lynda Carter played the Golden Lasso of Truth-wielding, bulletproof cuff-wearing, American flag-donned hero on the CBS television series. One just wonders what Carter would thing of Lohan filling her red, patent leather boots.
 
Linday as Wonder Woman? LOL! Please, first of all she needs more meat on her body, and better acting talent.

They need a bewitching beauty not some deprived girl with an eating disorder. And don't get me started on the various dye jobs she did to butcher her hair. :sure: :stupid:

Lynda Carter will be the best Wonder Woman out there. I know I couldn't find a replacement for her.

Yeah, I can't picture lindsay as WW either.... Heat is right... we need a WOMAN with a little more than just skin a bones. Someone LIKE Angelina Jolie. Someone who could pull of the look and the role. I love Angie, dont get me wrong, but as far as action herione, I dont think she should do BOTH lara croft AND WW. it's just not fair to the rest of hollywood for her to monopolize the best roles. ;)

Kate is a hottie but she's best in Underworld. I don't think WW would personally fit her.

I don't see the need for a remake unless its with Lynda, just my opinion.

the idea of Lindsay Lohan playing Wonder Woman is an INSULT to Linda Carter's legacy as the original (and only true) "Wonder Woman". I totally agree with you ladies...this role requires a WOMAN with a figure. Tall, statuesque (Lynda Carter is 6'1") with dark features (brunette hair, blue eyes, alabaster skin tone) one of the problems they are having is that this project has been "in developement" for over a decade. EVERYONE involved has admitted they will be hard pressed to find someone who fills the role as perfectly as Lynda Carter did.

Some earlier proposed actresses to fill the role (take from articles posted on SG and from the net) were: Sandra Bullock, Charisma Carpenter, Rose Macgowan, Shannen Doherty, Chyna, Lucy Lawless, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Kristanna Locken, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Courtney Cox. In the BEGINNING when more news of the project was being circulated Sandra Bullock and Lucy Lawless were the favorites. Then there was buzz around Rose Macgowan or Shannen Doherty but most recently (on Access Hollywood) Catherine Zeta-Jones was asked about whether or not she had been approached for the role and she was rather coy about it...although she DID do the trademark WW transformation"spin" for the cameras.

Personally i think they'd be better off to just go with an obscure/no name actress. ANYONE who plays this role will have to try to stack up to Lynda Carter's portrayal. I just hope that Joss remains true to his idea to have Lynda Carter play the role of WW's mother, the "Queen of the Amazons", Hypolite. which was originally portrayed by Chloris Leachman ("Phyllis" from the Mary Tyler Moore show, and a regular on "Rod Serling's Twilight Zone") and later Carolyn Jones ("Morticia Addams" from the original Addams family tv show)

What the :censored: ! NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO! HELL NO!

There is NO NO NO NO way EVER! She is MADE for teeny bopper movies and NOT playing super heroines, I mean, ICK! First of all, TOO unnaturally skinny. She's just annoying.
 
I always thought Lucy Lawless was a good choice but I may be able to handle Zeta-Jones as well.
