LONDON (Reuters) - A Welsh rugby fan cut off his own testicles to celebrate Wales beating England at rugby, the Daily Mirror reported Tuesday.

Geoff Huish, 26, was so convinced England would win Saturday's match he told fellow drinkers at a social club, "If Wales win I'll cut my balls off," the paper said.



Friends at the club in Caerphilly, south Wales, thought he was joking.



But after the game Huish went home, severed his testicles with a knife, and walked 200 yards back to the bar with the testicles to show the shocked drinkers what he had done.



Huish was taken to hospital where he remained in serious condition, the paper said.



Wales's 11-9 victory over England at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff was their first home win over England in 12 years.

Rugby fans are nuts - and are the players. They totally tore up Millenium's pitch during that match so it's like destroyed for Wales' World Cup Qualifier coming up, I think it's tomorrow :(
 
what the hell IS Rugby? ive heard of it many times before...but never paid much attention. :confused:

if THATS the kind of devotion fans of that sport have..they need to keep that "across the pond". Americans already do enough stupid stuff without some drunk , loud mouthed fan going THAT far. :igitt:
 
Rugby is like football, except everyone has to be able to kick and throw and catch the ball. So it's not just the quarterback throwing the ball. :)

Rubgy's basically...run with the damn ball or get jumped, kicked, punched, tackled etc. by like 30 smell sweaty men till you pass out lol.

Holy COW. I hadn't heard about that, that's amazing LOL. Amazing in the sense that I didn't think ANYONE would actually do it.

Yeah, Rugby is a lot like American Football, just without the padding :p
