Superman Returns

Wow, did a search of the forum and scanned the first few pages and must say I'm very surprised to not see a thread on Superman Returns here. I caught the premier yesterday and absolutely friggen loved it.

The movie was just as good as I was expecting it to be. As soon as I saw that first trailer with Kevin Spacey raving as Lex Luthor I KNEW it would absolutely blow away anything the X franchise could throw at it.

In my opinion Superman Returns is EASILY head and shoulders above the entire X franchise and most super hero movies EVER. I have to watch Batman Begins again then rewatch Superman Returns to figure out my new number two of all time but the way I see things right now is

1. Spiderman 2
2. Batman Begins/Superman Returns
3. Spiderman

and every thing else in it's own little ladder as they simply can't touch these films.
 
This movie was great. I really did feel like it was a continuation of Superman 1 & 2. Brandon Routh is a very good successor to Christopher Reeves. man if you close your eyes you would swear it was CR on screen. Kevin Spacey was great as LL. I love this movie!
 
What page was that first thread on? I know I did a search of the forum and actually scanned the first couple of pages myself and didn't see a thread on Superman Returns.

As for the one in The Buzz, I thought The Buzz was for posting details about a movie before it comes out and that a review would require a different thread. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
 
I would have liked it if they did the movie as Superman Begins rather than returns because the movie was great and it would have been a really good way to start fresh with a new line of supermen movies. Especially since it was kinda funny that superman left for 5 years and came back to everyone being younger for the most part.

All and all though it was a great movie.

I typed Superman Returns into the search box *shrugs*
 
I just saw the movie lastnight (against my will I might add), and I absolutely LOVED it. I'm not a huge Superman fan, so I was just going to wait for this movie to come out on DVD instead of spending 10 bucks to see it. But my friends convinced me to go after, and while I sat in the theater thinking this was going to be yet another flop, I was blown away. I really enjoyed this movie. I think this is by far my favorite comic based movie made in the recent years that i've seen. It was highly enjoyable, and I gotta say, I freakin' LOVED Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor. Mwhaha, was it bad of me to be rooting for him to win the entire movie? Hehehe.
 
if you go up to the top of the page, Lethal, you'll see a little but that says "search". when you click on it, a drop down box comes down and you can type in a phrase or word that you're looking for within the forum. that's how vil found out there was a superman thread already; she searched for it.
 
I only typed Superman into the search box, the results were nothing.

ACTUALLY I just figured out what happened. The two Superman Returns threads that show up are both on the 2nd page of the search. I didn't realize there was a 2nd page which is why I missed them. Either way, I still stand by what I said about the one in The Buzz. I thought new thread would be needed for reviews of the movie since The Buzz is for pre-production type stuff.

Really enjoyed this film and whatever qualms I had with the little flaws in the suit I didn't even notice while watching the film.
There is definately a hint of Reeves in Routh and he pulled it off very well.And the little kid in it was so cute.
Very good effects,brill casting and having that score back just heightened the whole experience.
