Okay, we need a thread on this lol

Although the past couple episodes have been the best since season 2, this week's episode did backslide a bit into the "let's spend 40 minutes showing cool makeup effects with the zombies" routine we've had for 2.5 seasons.

And what about Scarol?! And the return of the Ricktatorship?!
 
I <3 Carol! That little nosy boy should've known better than to be following her lol! It definitely was a departure from her interaction w/ children in the past seasons, but after the loss of her own daughter & the shocking fate of Lizie & Mika, I don't blame her for being cold toward that boy. Rick, Carol & Darryl need to be careful. They are easily stronger & more adept than the ppl of ASZ, but they're getting sucked into situations that could distract them from what's really important.

I dont like how the show basically is "open season" on all the black male characters. They've killed 3 in this season alone! I really hope Michonne & Sasha continue on, I enjoy both of those characters & Sasha is a TV series only character so there's no counter part to her in the comic.

I'm GLAD Aiden died. What a stupid, arrogant dick he was! But b/c of Nicholas' incompetence & COWARDICE, Noah died too :( Glenn should've left his stupid ass BEHIND! & Gabriel? I CAN'T STAND HIM! Traitor!

Speaking of special effects & zombies, did you notice the "tribute zombie" in the train tunnel in the later half of season 4? he looked just like "Bob" from Day of the Dead :D

I'm wondering, after the events of last Sunday's episode, if indeed Rick's group are indeed going to play the part of the
Scavengers
[comics spoiler]? Or if we will see them in next episode?

I find it interesting that Rick, Carol etc were the "good guys" in the beginning and are now turning bad, while Darryl was considered a "bad guy" at the beginning and is now the one good one. Like everyone is switching.

I feel like there will be a Rick-Darryl showdown, and Darryl will become the new leader while they spin Carl off onto his own show...[/spoiler]
 
Im kind of worried about that -[ the scavangers] or the SAVIORS. it gets pretty prolonged & brutal in the comic

Well they've been out in the wild for so long & it's had a profound impact on them all. but the fact that Carol hasn't already killed Pete, i think, is one indication that she (& the others) aren't as far gone as what Gabriel is trying to suggest. I REALLY can't stand him. Or Eugene for that matter lol. Who is Gabriel to call anyone's character to question after what he did to his own congregation? lol!

Rick's group sees how weak & inept the ASZ ppl are, but instead of just taking over out right, they're stepping up to help strengthen the community. If Deanna & the others proove to be too week, if Rick's group DOESNT take over, they'll surely be gutted from the outside. The theme since season 3 has basically been that other humans are more a threat than the zombies.


A spin off show is coming, it's being set in L.A. in the same timeline as the current show. Kim Dickens (from "house of cards" ) will be the lead female, "Nancy".

I feel like Kirkman & the other producers should slow down & chill out w/ all the "regular" character deaths. they've killed 4 already in 1 season. Carol is the last surviving female from the original Atlanta camp. She & Michonne are my absolute favorites on the show. CARL could go at anytime now & i'd be happy. Yes he's grown up alot between season 4 & now...but i still cant get over how fucking annoying & meddling he was from season 1 -3. WHY is Judith still alive? It just seems so improbable that a baby would survive this long.
 
Yes, that Judith is alive is ridiculous and harms the story. And you can see that they are showing her less and less now. But, they have a makeup artist running the show, so what can you expect? They're going to milk that baby as a symbol of hope & redemption for all its worth.

This is why I honestly think most everyone but Darryl will be dead as they move into the two-pronged show, and they're piece by piece killing off Rick's crew.

Plus it was important in hindsight for them to kill Tyrese and Noah, because they are the "good" members of the group who would have wanted to be a part of building something better and who would have rejected Rick going Wolves on Alexandria.
 
If they kill off everyone from Rick's group , i cant imagine the fans sticking around b/c who would they identify with? I'm hoping that Rick's group will be the ones to oppose the Wolves/Scavengers (or even the Saviors) rather than becoming. but I can see the signs & parallels. Rick has become more "Shane"-like , especially where Pete & Jessie are conerned.



Is there ANOTHER show besides the L.A. spinoff coming??
 
No, but the spinoff is supposed to focus on "younger" survivors, so I am thinking they will shuttle Carl off to that show. Probably with that one chick from Alexandria. How many years do they have Andrew Lincoln locked in for? He's not going to want to have to spend so much time in Georgia forever...
