Surgeon general nominee Vivek Murthy, opposed by gun lobby, confirmed
---------------
Well it's about time! But sadly this may be one of the last of Obama's appointees that is confirmed in this lame duck session.
I couldn't help but laugh when certain republicans criticized the presidenet for their NOT being a surgeon general on staff during the height of the ebola scare in the U.S. but THEY were the ones BLOCKING the confirmation @ the behest of the gun lobby in the first place
