Critique
Allright guys, thats a WRAP!
I'd like to thank sinosleep and Guardian for their participation in this audition.

Clearly Guardian was "going easy" on you, as this was an audition
here is my critique:
Sinosleep, for starters, the character Miracle is VERY unique, from the codename to the physical description (and one major physical handicap) to the powers and talismans he uses. I know that this character is VERY under estimated in the Avengers RPG (i saw it for myself) and its unforunate because magick users have the greatest range and potential but too often it is assumed that "magick user= weak fighter". we have TWO characters in The Six who have obliterated that stereotype. Myself and Guardian. I hope that youll be able to use them as a point of reference and maybe even some inspiration as you further develope this character.
The basic character set up for Miracle is good, but it could be fleshed out in a number of ways beginning with his back story, his physical appearence, personality profile and the details of his powers and how they manifest. the talismans are okay as they are...as they are objects designed to enhance a person's overall arsenal. But by fleshing out his bio and giving more detail to those final aspects..you can fine tune him and make him appear more powerfull and more effective than what he is given credit for in the Avengers rpg. a character is only as good and will only be taken as serious as you present them. it helps to put a "little piece" of your own personality traits into the character...after all youll play a character you identify with alot easier than you will playing a role someone ELSE tells you to play. the range you have for the use of your powers is only as open to creativity as you make it.
fighting style- Miracle uses latin incantations for the spells he ignites, as well as his talismans. be carefull NOT to use his talismans as the "bread and butter" of your fighting arsenal. Guardian EASILY disarmed you of that and had you not had several of your runes on your person, what would you have done then? try to build up more of a catalogue of "spells" for him to ignite as well as giving him some magickal effects such as "mystic force bolts with a high level of concussive power" ..things that DONT require a spell to be cast.
ALSO, give the character a sense of hand to hand combat or at least a whip, a set of daggers. he needs to be able to be fast on his feet and able to fight up close and personal..not just with magick. he could carry a potion that augments strength (i can give you a work up for that potion if you want) to give him more "power" in his physical attacks. you're a military man so incorporate your own fighting knowledge into the character to make him more formidable in hand to hand combat.
and finally PERSONALITY- again... a character has to be known for more than his powers. what makes Miracle stand out from any other magick user? In the Six , my character Spellbinder is the "powerfull, lethal edged witch who hides her emotional core " and Guardian's character is the "cold, brutal , efficicent witch who makes people wonder if she even HAS emotions." Both women are similar but posses KEY differences that help them to stand out as do ALL the members of the Six. Again..this is the chance for you to make this character in a way that you will "care" about them and WANT to use them. dont make a character to suit OTHER people's ideas...do it for YOUR pleasure.
When you play in an rpg such as "The Six" where there is so much room for personal creativity, there also comes witht hat a responsibility for you to USE that creativity and show initiative when playing your character so that you add something to the game that cant be replaced and make yourself valuable to the team in such a way that your absence is noted. You must know what is going on in the game, read up on the past stories, and bios of all your cast mates, know their abilities so you may be able to do something like a "tag team" with a team mate when fighting a foe based on the powers of the team mate you choose, or you might be able to discover a clever "round about way" of defeating a foe using logic, creativity and imagination. You dont need to wait on the direction of a "GM"(gaming director/master) to maximize your character or expand on ideas you have about your character, NOR should you have to be told WHEN/HOW to post.. and i think you defiantely were "limited" in the use of Miracle in this audition because you werent used to having as much FREEDOM to use the charater and maximize his potential.
Ultimately, I like Miracle (as did at least one other member who gave you a good karma rating in your first post). He's unique, and has alot of potential all he needs is to be "fleshed out" in some areas.
Thank you for participating in this audition
