Visit to the apothecary
:: Harbinger emerged from an elevator on the main floor of the Parthenon. It was night time now. She was in her latest choice of "uniform", her blue corsett and black mini skirt along with black high heeled boots. she wore a hooded cloak as well, causing her face to be partially enshrouded in shadow. This might make someone ELSE stand out, but here in NYC? No one seemed to notice. ::
:: Shed sent Ava a "magick telegram" which manifested in her mirror, just to let her known that she would be returning to her suite later on, after she made another important stop. THIS, in turn, would give Ava time to speak with Haleigh and Cameron.::
:: The threat that was looming was now taking shape and closing IN. At least with a WARNING, Haleigh would have the chance to get ahold of HERSELF to lead the team in a time when they needed it, but for Cameron and even Cass, the warning would not change their outcomes. Alison had her part to play in crippling the Purifiers so that the Six would have their best shot at not only facing them down but defeating them and Ava saw that Alison was taking SPECIAL CARE to weigh her options before taking actions. The Blue Moon's events HAD had an effect on her, but for HER, it couldnt have happened at a worse time.::
:: More than anything, she wanted to snatch Cameron and take him away, if only to protect him and NOT see him endure anything close to what happened when he was in Malice's or even Barbas' clutches, but if she did that...no. she wasn't ANYTHING like what Delilah said. THAT woman was insane and her opinion was beyond flawed.::
:: Alison scoffed as she thought of Delilah::
even now, she's prooving to be a liability. dead weight.
:: The same thing MALICE had said::
trying to square off with MALICE in public? she really DOES have a death wish and she's endangering my friends...my FAMILY. it is ONLY for their sake that I do NOT swoop in and turn HER into a block of ICE.
:: But ENOUGH about her.::
:: The precog moved silently and smoothly through the lobby with each step.::
:: Something was different here tonight. Tensions were heightened. Suspicions were rising. But there was something ...someONE else too.::
:: For a precog/retrocog....there are those moments when "looking out" across the time stream in any direction, there will be some fleeting FLASH of an object/person/event/anamoly that moves IRREGULARLY across the time stream. No matter how SMALL it is, it registers SIGNIFICANTLY to someone like Alison.::
:: She FELT that NOW, as she moved through the Parthenon. The majority of the Six didn't know SHE was here. But they also didn't know that there was something...someone ELSE as well. But she hadn't paused to "look" more closely to see what/who it was. She had other more pressing things on her mind.::
:: One of those things was a stop at an apothecary. Bell Book & Candle. ::
:: in the steel and stone metropolis of NYC, this little store front was nestled right in the heart of the city. Alison walked there. It wasnt that far and she enjoyed being SO CLOSE to where Illustra once stood, allowing her self a few moments to let THOSE memories flood her mind and push out other sources of concern.::
:: her cloaked form was not a source of attention to most of the people she passed by and she KNEW there were certain eyes AND EARS prowling about for any sight of her. This was the EASIEST thing she could do to make it harder for them AND to keep them from coming to the Parthenon that much sooner than they'd already end up being there.::
:: She paused when she reached the door of the apothecary. She turned around. She felt like she was being FOLLOWED, but she couldn't immediately "SEE" who it was! A purifier? One of the Six? she'd have EASILY spotted either one. She'd been distracted in her own thoughts during most of her walk and so whatever she thought she sensed...maybe it was just her own nerves. She hadn't felt anything LIKE this since the time BIANCA CEASUAL (A.k.a. Millennia), the temporal anamoly who had survived the INFERNO but was forever changed by it, haunted Minerva's mansion while seeking out and STEALING the Sword of Anger!::
::Was it coincidence that she thought of THAT scenrio just now??::
:: After satisfying her VISUAL sense that there was no one around, she turned and entered the mysterious apothecary, filled with all sorts of trinkets, ingredients and DELIGHTS for witches and magick users. ::
:: Alison quietly shopped. She wanted several large, fully charged white crystals, for a CRYSTAL CAGE spell, and she decided to pick up a few other little trinkets as well.::
:: Soon, she was greeted by the shop's mistress and the two witches began conversing. The mistress of the shop sensed Alison's POWER and special gifts. While the owner of the shop was not on par with Alison, she was a seasoned high priestess and very much attuned to her craft and was a gifted midwife as well. She began to share with Alison the very negative vibrations that were rippling across the city at the ground level and how blood and souls were crying out from shock, grief and the need for protection...and JUSTICE.::
:: Alison was rather pale as she thought about Cameron's own cries of distress. Particularly when Malice used her psionic powers to BROADCAST the feedback of Cameron's cries of distress to Alison, via EMPATHY, effectively BYPASSING her psi-screen. ::
That's one of the reasons why I'm here now...
:: The shop's mistress noticed that Alison had several fully charged , large WHITE crystals , along with ingredients for a hemlock poison kill spell and several small viles for STUN potions.::
I can assure you, I am going to address the root of this growing threat...and NEUTRALIZE it.
:: Alison said rather coldly.::
You be careful. You are a resourceful, clever witch and you are fast on your feet. If you find that you are in trouble that you CAN'T get out of...
reach out to me...and I will come to your aid. I promise you that.
:: Alison looked back. Why did she feel like something was wrong!? Like something was coming this way? if there WERE, she'd KNOW it. wouldnt she!?::
:: She paid for her items, and stood at the counter as the shop's mistres bagged them up...::
