Visit to the apothecary

:: Harbinger emerged from an elevator on the main floor of the Parthenon. It was night time now. She was in her latest choice of "uniform", her blue corsett and black mini skirt along with black high heeled boots. she wore a hooded cloak as well, causing her face to be partially enshrouded in shadow. This might make someone ELSE stand out, but here in NYC? No one seemed to notice. ::

:: Shed sent Ava a "magick telegram" which manifested in her mirror, just to let her known that she would be returning to her suite later on, after she made another important stop. THIS, in turn, would give Ava time to speak with Haleigh and Cameron.::

:: The threat that was looming was now taking shape and closing IN. At least with a WARNING, Haleigh would have the chance to get ahold of HERSELF to lead the team in a time when they needed it, but for Cameron and even Cass, the warning would not change their outcomes. Alison had her part to play in crippling the Purifiers so that the Six would have their best shot at not only facing them down but defeating them and Ava saw that Alison was taking SPECIAL CARE to weigh her options before taking actions. The Blue Moon's events HAD had an effect on her, but for HER, it couldnt have happened at a worse time.::

:: More than anything, she wanted to snatch Cameron and take him away, if only to protect him and NOT see him endure anything close to what happened when he was in Malice's or even Barbas' clutches, but if she did that...no. she wasn't ANYTHING like what Delilah said. THAT woman was insane and her opinion was beyond flawed.::

:: Alison scoffed as she thought of Delilah::

even now, she's prooving to be a liability. dead weight.

:: The same thing MALICE had said::

trying to square off with MALICE in public? she really DOES have a death wish and she's endangering my friends...my FAMILY. it is ONLY for their sake that I do NOT swoop in and turn HER into a block of ICE.

:: But ENOUGH about her.::

:: The precog moved silently and smoothly through the lobby with each step.::

:: Something was different here tonight. Tensions were heightened. Suspicions were rising. But there was something ...someONE else too.::

:: For a precog/retrocog....there are those moments when "looking out" across the time stream in any direction, there will be some fleeting FLASH of an object/person/event/anamoly that moves IRREGULARLY across the time stream. No matter how SMALL it is, it registers SIGNIFICANTLY to someone like Alison.::

:: She FELT that NOW, as she moved through the Parthenon. The majority of the Six didn't know SHE was here. But they also didn't know that there was something...someone ELSE as well. But she hadn't paused to "look" more closely to see what/who it was. She had other more pressing things on her mind.::

:: One of those things was a stop at an apothecary. Bell Book & Candle. ::

:: in the steel and stone metropolis of NYC, this little store front was nestled right in the heart of the city. Alison walked there. It wasnt that far and she enjoyed being SO CLOSE to where Illustra once stood, allowing her self a few moments to let THOSE memories flood her mind and push out other sources of concern.::

:: her cloaked form was not a source of attention to most of the people she passed by and she KNEW there were certain eyes AND EARS prowling about for any sight of her. This was the EASIEST thing she could do to make it harder for them AND to keep them from coming to the Parthenon that much sooner than they'd already end up being there.::

:: She paused when she reached the door of the apothecary. She turned around. She felt like she was being FOLLOWED, but she couldn't immediately "SEE" who it was! A purifier? One of the Six? she'd have EASILY spotted either one. She'd been distracted in her own thoughts during most of her walk and so whatever she thought she sensed...maybe it was just her own nerves. She hadn't felt anything LIKE this since the time BIANCA CEASUAL (A.k.a. Millennia), the temporal anamoly who had survived the INFERNO but was forever changed by it, haunted Minerva's mansion while seeking out and STEALING the Sword of Anger!::

::Was it coincidence that she thought of THAT scenrio just now??::

:: After satisfying her VISUAL sense that there was no one around, she turned and entered the mysterious apothecary, filled with all sorts of trinkets, ingredients and DELIGHTS for witches and magick users. ::

:: Alison quietly shopped. She wanted several large, fully charged white crystals, for a CRYSTAL CAGE spell, and she decided to pick up a few other little trinkets as well.::

:: Soon, she was greeted by the shop's mistress and the two witches began conversing. The mistress of the shop sensed Alison's POWER and special gifts. While the owner of the shop was not on par with Alison, she was a seasoned high priestess and very much attuned to her craft and was a gifted midwife as well. She began to share with Alison the very negative vibrations that were rippling across the city at the ground level and how blood and souls were crying out from shock, grief and the need for protection...and JUSTICE.::

:: Alison was rather pale as she thought about Cameron's own cries of distress. Particularly when Malice used her psionic powers to BROADCAST the feedback of Cameron's cries of distress to Alison, via EMPATHY, effectively BYPASSING her psi-screen. ::

That's one of the reasons why I'm here now...

:: The shop's mistress noticed that Alison had several fully charged , large WHITE crystals , along with ingredients for a hemlock poison kill spell and several small viles for STUN potions.::

I can assure you, I am going to address the root of this growing threat...and NEUTRALIZE it.

:: Alison said rather coldly.::

You be careful. You are a resourceful, clever witch and you are fast on your feet. If you find that you are in trouble that you CAN'T get out of...

reach out to me...and I will come to your aid. I promise you that.

:: Alison looked back. Why did she feel like something was wrong!? Like something was coming this way? if there WERE, she'd KNOW it. wouldnt she!?::

:: She paid for her items, and stood at the counter as the shop's mistres bagged them up...::

Runes. Small charmed relics of a bygone era?

Nope. Actually magical talismans capable of providing warding protection, aiding in luck or sealing bad things away from our world. The more that were in proximity to each other, the more that could be done.

He had followed the brunette to Bell, Book and Candle. It was a modest but good quality apothecary, like countless others on the planet. But it had what had to be considered a dangerous mix of runes, an assortment that should not generally be held in proximity to one another. THIS is why the Norse and Celts who charmed these things left them where they were!! Once warehoused the effects became...mixed. They needed to be separated.

In any case the brunette almost seemed to notice...SOMETHING even though he was vibrating in such a way as to elude human sight. She was very attractive...her manner of dress was provocative but the way she carried herself was in contrast to that. Most women in...THAT could not wait to be noticed. She was obviously looking to blend in. Good thing it was New York. Short of nudity she was just another pretty face here.

Oh well...he readied himself to sprint inside and do the deed.

0.0000000000001 - In the door.
0.000000000001 - Past the witch tending the till, she is already recoiling from my wind shear...she might hit her head. Cannot let that happen.
0.00001 - Caught her and set her back up.

0.0001 - Got em'. Now time to go...Bye!

::GASP!::

:: Harbinger shut her eyes, FLINCHING, rare as THAT was for someone like HER. It happened so fast...as suddenly as a MICROBURST.::

:: The owner of the shop looked dazed, leaning over ::

Are you alright!?

:: Alison narrowed her colbalt blue eyes. she IMMEDIATELY "looked" BACK, using her retrocognition::

::FLASH!::

:: No matter HOW fast something or someone moves...they STILL have to move through time and space, and there is hardly ANYTHING that Harbinger can't SEE across time and space. Even IF it eludes her in one tense, it will NOT in the other.::

:: As she "looks" BACK and searches the last few MOMENTS, she sees the form of a MAN! he WAS following her! He had been the WHOLE TIME but not only had he managed to avoid VISUAL detection, but he ALSO had managed to escape her short range precognition. She "SAW" him move, even in the close quarters of the shop, with such precision. She "slowed" the images down in her mind's eye to get a better look at him. He was vital, brimming with a RARE power indeed. The idea of ANOTHER person being able to get that close to her...for someone else it would be terrifying, for HER? It was INSULTING.::

:: Alison's face tightened with ANGER. But first...::

You've just been robbed...by a speedster. RARE as they are...in a city like this...there's BOUND to be one that shows up. I'll go after hiim now.

:: The owner expresses concern, asking what can she do.::

You said yourself, you sensed my POWER.

:: Smirking a bit::

Trust me, okay?

I promise you, I'll get the things back he stole from you. Just stay here.

:: She smiled and nodded with reassured and then BLINKED OUT.::

About Town...

Cameron walked the streets of New York as he mentally began scanning the area around him as he went by. Alerting Delilah he was coming to get her would probably cause her to run and to be honest? Cameron didn't feel like chasing anybody at the moment.

WHY couldn't Haleigh and him manage a simple conversation, especially when it mattered the most. He could tell she was still feeling sensitive about him telling her to grow up a few months ago on the roof of The Parthenon. It really shouldn't be this hard. Cameron was genuinely concerned for Haleigh's well being, it was just that when her well being seemed to have something to do with DIANA...he just couldn't find any words to say that weren't harsh. He had done the best he could in the situation. He didn't think Haleigh was glad to have Malice save her life, but there was a feeling he picked up from her that was troubling. Something that Haleigh herself wasn't aware of.

Haleigh always had the greatest understanding of Malice and was usually the best suited to deal with her, but there was something different about their relationship and with Malice, you really just had to cover all of her bases. Why Haleigh would sit back and pretend she was fine when it was so obvious that she wasn't and when it was so OBVIOUS it had to do with Diana, Cameron refused to accept. At this point in their lives, EVERY member of The Six should know that the longer you HIDE something, the HARDER and more GRUESOME it is to deal with later, and you never come out the victor at the end of it. Secrets while sometimes USEFUL could HURT this team in ways that they had JUST WITNESSED with The Blue Moon...maybe if Haleigh had seen what happened with Delilah, Morgan and Alison FIRST hand and not from second hand accounts, she MIGHT be more primed to reach out for help or at least LET SOMEBODY KNOW what was going on.

While he wandered the city looking for Delilah he was lost in thought until he felt his phone vibrating in his pocket. He looked at his notifications. One from Alycia, to which he responded that he would call her as soon as he could and another from Ava.

iMessage from Ava Cassadine said:

Hey, I need to speak to both of you ASAP. Come to my suite when you can, it's important.

Cameron rolled his eyes and let out a giant sigh.

"Great timing, A....just great..."

The streets were busy and taxis were passing left and right. Nobody would be able to get a cab right now...unless they were a telepath. Cameron made eye contact with a driver as he was beginning to pass. With a twinkle of his eye, the taxi driver was pulled over and welcoming Cameron to his cab. Then he was off to The Parthenon.

Before long, Cameron knocked on the door and entered Ava's suite where Ava and Haleigh were sitting in the living room. He shot a 'can you believe this?' smile to Haleigh as he gave Ava a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Hey A..."

Cameron took his seat, on the opposite couch of Haleigh as he crossed his right leg onto his knee, letting it rest there.

"You seem tense..what's going on...is it urgent?"

That was easy. Now to sort these and return them to places that will kee-

The form in the dumpster lay still as she spoke. He was thinking.

Hmnn...everything in order. But the brunette...she is FAST as well? This could be fun.

He rolled over and stood up, slowly. At a normal and unhurried pace.

Did I steal from HER? Or did her supplier unwisely sell her incompatible relics stolen from their original places and passed on to her? Which is it?

His British accent shone clear as a bell as he continued to not move a single muscle.

In any case, though I do appreciate you offering not to harm me, I will have to decline your offer to be a party to perpetuating the relocation of relics from the powerless to the powerFUL. So your move, lovely lady. In fact, I must admit that having you harm me, just a little, is a rather ATTRACTIVE offer.

Xavier winked at the pretty sorceress...

It was only mere seconds after sending the text message that Haleigh appeared behind Ava, silently waiting to know what was going on. Turning around with two tumblers full of crown and ice, she handed Haleigh one.

"Thanks for coming."

Walking over to the couch, she could tell something was wrong with Haleigh. Unaware of what had happened with Diana and the others, she just assumed that Haleigh wasn't exactly too thrilled to be in the same room as Cameron after their awkward kiss and tell a couple weeks ago. Ava knew they were working past it--aka ignoring it--until the awkwardness subsided, but still...something seemed different with Haleigh. Something that was bigger than Cameron King.

"You okay?"

She asked, already knowing Haleigh would dodge the question or give an excuse. Hell, Ava was a the QUEEN of that right now. But still, she needed to at least ask. Turning her attention to the door, she heard a knock knowing it was Cameron.

"It's open!"

Cameron entered and made his way over. Standing, she gave him a cheek to cheek kiss.

Cameron: Hey A.

"Thanks for getting here so quickly...both of you."

Cameron: You seem tense..what's going on...is it urgent?

Sitting back down, Ava hesitated a moment and decided to finish off her drink before answer Cameron's loaded question. Holding the tumbler of ice in her hands, she looked at both of them.

"Alison's here...in New York. She came to me this morning with a warning....a huge threat has been sweeping over the city the past few months, and will soon effect us directly."

Looking at Cameron directly now.

"She told me you're in danger, Cameron. That she can't see whether you will live through this or not....She said that you and Cass will directly be effected by this, and one of you might not survive. Here's to hoping it's her."

Ava added coldly after her warning.

"Look, Alison's visions are subjective, we all know that. But she wanted me to clue you both in to what's going to be happening so we're not flying in blind. As for Alison, she's looking for a person or persons that's acting as a precog of some sort--sort of helping head whatever's happening. She needs to stop them before they expose us all."

Looking at Cameron once more. She could tell he was wondering why Alison didn't tell them this herself, or why she wouldn't warn Cameron directly.

"She wants to be here, Cam....but after what happened with Delilah, she doesn't want her emotions to get in the way. Apparently she's already seen multiple disastrous outcomes if she rescued you herself, so she's doing what she can to help us by getting rid of the false precog threat."

She also told me you need to keep an eye out on the astral plan...she said you would know what that meant.

Ava thought, knowing Cameron would hear her words in his head. Taking Haleigh's empty glass from her, Ava stood.

[to Cameron] "Need a drink?"

"Well WELL! The SHE-DEVIL finally shows up!"

"And she's got MORE than BLUE DRESS, honey!"

Vivica gave the girls a little shimmy.

Sally Spectra said:
Back at'cha honey!

::Laughed and warmly greeted Vivica with a hug and an air kiss on each cheek. She'd meet the girl in Cameron's offices recently, FORMALLY, and was quite impressed with her. But she held off asking as her to be a contract model for Spectra until now, per Blaze's request. She wanted it to be a surprise.::

Cassandra said:
:: Cass laughed as she returned the hug and cheek kiss. She pointed her thumb over at Blaze. ::

“I TRY to stay out of trouble but with a best friend like BLAZE, it’s kind of hard, hmmm?”

:: She winked knowingly at Vivica. ::

"She definitely has her ways, doesn't she?"

Vivica laughed as she made her way over to Blaze and gave her greeting.

Blaze said:
Their greeting was easy, natural and without worry for what anyone else might thing.

"I was just thinking...isnt it about time for another taste of..."

Vivica quickly put her hand over Blaze's mouth, even was the fire elemental "smiled" with her eyes and gave a muffled laugh. Viv knew her TOO well.

Vivica cocked a playful brow at Blaze as she whispered again in her ear.

"Now, now...they'll be PLENTY of time for sweets later..."

Vivica inquired as to how things were going with the opening night plans.

Blaze said:
"Oh we've just been working on the details for the opening night of my club. Sally's finished nearly all the designs for the tie-in clothing and accessories line and the COSTUMES for the burlesque show. And, I managed to get Cassie to agree to be one of Sally's models, AND a dancer in my act on opening night. I was just going through some of the basic moves and overall presentation."

Vivica nodded.

Sally Spectra said:
Blaze calls it work. I call it creative application.

You don't get to...and STAY on top by getting conent OR losing that hunger, Blaze. I always told Morgan that. You remember it too! You're ONLY as good as your next creative endeavor. Besides...The House of Spectra has experienced a creative ZENITH since the introduction of Spectra Couture, Morgan's company. We're riding HIGH off that wave of energy honey and I intend to crest..ALLLL the way to the BANK!

:: She and Blaze HIGH FIVE each other and then raise their glasses to drink::

Vivica cheers as well and takes a delicious sip of her ginger infused vodka beverage as she brings herself closer to the group about to prop herself up to the stage when she is interrupted.

Sally Spectra said:
Viv, darling.

You simply MUST join my stable of models. It'd only be on a contract basis, much like Nicolas King, BUT Blaze and I BOTH want you on hand for the unveiling of the Fire La Vedette TIE IN clothing and accessories line. We want to use new, fresh faces for the campaign. I already have Cassandra on board. Whadoyasay?

::Sally smiles and winks knowling at Vivica as Blaze and Cass both look and awaite her answer.::

Vivica blushed a little bit as she placed a hand on Sally's shoulder, giving her the most curious of looks.

"Sally...you want me to be a CONTRACT model for you?"

Blaze said:
Blaze smirked at Vivica.

"Don't tell me you've gotten SHY, after your performance at the club with me on the POLE!"

Cassandra said:
: Cass opened her mouth to reply but Sally jumped in with an offer to model. ::

“Oh do say yes! It would be much more fun if I had a friend with me!”

"Oh you women are TOO much...but honestly..."

[shrugging her shoulders]

"I DID model a little bit when I was younger...putting myself through college before Cameron really hit it big...Mostly catalog and swimsuit...and YES.. [turning to Blaze] I'm sure you could find some of them on GOOGLE if you looked hard enough..."

She laughed as she took another sip of her drink and took of her outer white coat and set it on the side of the stage.

"And I'm sure I would be in more capable hands with a FAR more professional and less LEERING staff than my college days...AND what is modeling if not an extension of ART...Sally?"

Vivica placed BOTH of her hands on Sally's shoulders and look her in the eyes with a smirk.

"You got yourself a deal...send me the specifics...I'm not sure I have the MOST time..but how can I say no to YOU....BOTH of you? [looking at Blaze]."

She walked over to Blaze and put her arm around her, giving her a squeeze.

"You're lucky I happen to look good in next to nothing."

[turning back to Sally]

"..and I'm a pretty QUICK study." ;)

"Now...Enough of all this nonsense! What's left to be done! How Can I help?"

Parthenon: Ava's suite

Ava: Thanks for coming.

"Anytime, sis."

She replied nonchalantly, giving her sister a hug. She followed Avainto the living room.

Ava: You okay?

"You tell me yours, I'll tell you mine."

She offered, but based on the look her sister gave her at that, she knew she probably wasn't going to have to talk about it. And then Cameron knocked. Looks like we were both saved by the asshole. She thought, then locked down the bitterness as he gave Ava a hug. He shot a sheepish smile at Haleigh, which she managed not to scowl at, and just returned with a mild shrug. She drank about half of the drink Ava had given her.

Cameron: Hey A.

Ava: Thanks for getting here so quickly...both of you.

Cameron: You seem tense..what's going on...is it urgent?

Ava: Alison's here...in New York. She came to me this morning with a warning....a huge threat has been sweeping over the city the past few months, and will soon effect us directly.

(Deadpan) "Any chance she was a little less vague?"

Ava: She told me you're in danger, Cameron. That she can't see whether you will live through this or not....She said that you and Cass will directly be effected by this, and one of you might not survive. Here's to hoping it's her.

"Oh come on, she's not THAT bad."

She groaned. Ava always took a while to warm up to EVERYONE, well, everyone except Simon.

Haleigh did well to keep her expression under control, and keep a lid on her concern for Cameron's well-being. Just because she was annoyed by his new mask didn't mean she wanted to see him hurt. And he wasn't the only one she was worried about. In the two months they'd known each other, Cass had grown on Haleigh. They had starkly different interests, but their rough pasts, killer instincts, and the hunting outings were enough to establish a rapport. She didn't want anything to happen to HER either.

Haleigh felt a pressure building in her skull.

Ava: Look, Alison's visions are subjective, we all know that. But she wanted me to clue you both in to what's going to be happening so we're not flying in blind. As for Alison, she's looking for a person or persons that's acting as a precog of some sort--sort of helping head whatever's happening. She needs to stop them before they expose us all. Apparently she's already seen multiple disastrous outcomes if she rescued you herself, so she's doing what she can to help us by getting rid of the false precog threat.

"Well, while she's doing that we'd better call everyone and circle the wagons. Make sure we don't get ourselves cellphone video'd in the meantime. I'll call Specter, get him to give me a run down of possible dangers."

Parthenon - Ava's Penthouse

Ava: "Alison's here...in New York. She came to me this morning with a warning....a huge threat has been sweeping over the city the past few months, and will soon effect us directly."

"Business as usual..."

Haleigh: "Any chance she was a little less vague?"

He looked over at Haleigh.

[sarcastically] "Right?"

Ava: "Ava: She told me you're in danger, Cameron. That she can't see whether you will live through this or not....She said that you and Cass will directly be effected by this, and one of you might not survive. Here's to hoping it's her."

Cameron would have smiled if the tone in the room wasn't so serious. He was beginning to love Ava's straightforward and biting opinions and wit. The two had grown a lot closer in the last two months. In fact Cameron probably spent more of his time with Ava than even Alycia at the moment. They were both putting long hours in at work and were beginning to develop a rather close friendship and respect for each other. A far cry from where they originally started.

Haleigh: "Oh come on, she's not that bad..."

"Seems like a rather odd pairing...Cassandra and I..."

[placing his hands in his lap]

"And great...I guess it was only a matter of time before something tried to kill us..."

Ava: "Look, Alison's visions are subjective, we all know that. But she wanted me to clue you both in to what's going to be happening so we're not flying in blind. As for Alison, she's looking for a person or persons that's acting as a precog of some sort--sort of helping head whatever's happening. She needs to stop them before they expose us all."

Cameron cocked his head to the side...this was a very odd thing. Sitting there with Haleigh and Ava..with Ava delivering a message from his own SISTER.

"Ava...why didn't Alison just tell me directly? Why the secrecy...the distance?"

Ava: "She wants to be here, Cam....but after what happened with Delilah, she doesn't want her emotions to get in the way. Apparently she's already seen multiple disastrous outcomes if she rescued you herself, so she's doing what she can to help us by getting rid of the false precog threat."

Just then Ava's words filled Cameron's mind.

[thought call] "She also told me you need to keep an eye out on the astral plan...she said you would know what that meant."

"It means I just might see my sister yet..."

Haleigh: "Well, while she's doing that we'd better call everyone and circle the wagons. Make sure we don't get ourselves cellphone video'd in the meantime. I'll call Specter, get him to give me a run down of possible dangers."

Cameron stood to his feet.

"I'm thinking it's got to do with that group that stormed us at Balthazar..I've seen them on the news. Their recruits are winding up dead. The Purifiers? I mean they seemed like a bunch of unorganized zealots...but they doesn't mean they couldn't cause us some trouble..we are usually numero uno on anti-mutant groups hit lists..."

He walked over to the bar and fixed himself a drink as he shot a thought call back to Ava.

"I need to talk to you once Haleigh leaves..."

"In any case..while Haleigh checks in with Specter...I will alert the team and our allies...just to be safe. If this is sweeping the city they could be involved. Better for them to be informed...I'll send a thought call out."

Closing his eyes for a moment - Alycia, Vivica, Nicolas, Blaze, Deliah and Cass would receive a thought call from Cameron.

Thought Call from Cameron said:
"Guys...It's Cameron. Alison has alerted us to a threat in the city that will soon effect us. I need you all to gather at The Parthenon as soon as your business for the day. PLEASE keep either myself or Haleigh informed of your whereabouts.

He sent a second call to Blaze.

Thought Call from Cameron said:
"Blaze...Cass was named specifically in Alison's vision....along with myself. I'm assuming she is with you. I haven't alerted her yet because I don't want to scare her...but you know there are safety in numbers. Be on the lookout..."

"Team's been alerted...Now if there isn't anything else...I assume I'm safe in The Parthenon and...Ava...I was hoping to meet with you in order to discuss some things you missed today...it COULD wait I guess...but I figure since I have you here and that I might die in the not so distant future...might be worth it?"

Cameron needed to talk to Ava about Haleigh and what was going on with her. If Haleigh wouldn't listen to Cameron about what was going on with her, maybe she would listen to her sister.

Nicolas was listening to Alycia talk about things, or starting to, when Cam showed up in their heads.

Nic, of course, was unsurprised. He deviously winked at Alycia and sent a thought call back to Cameron with her essentially CC'ed.

Cam! How am I going to convince your lovely girlfriend to drop YOU for ME if you keep being attentive? Sheesh.

He laughs as Alycia makes a "I cannot believe you said THAT" face!

Seriously though, she is with me and we can come right over to the Parthenon. Unless, you know, I can get her to give in between her office and the car. Or the car and the hotel. Or your suite and mine...

Looking back at Alycia, he takes the punch to the shoulder she gives and holds out his hands.

What? He DID my AUNT. The LEAST I can do is give him hell about dating my FRIEND. Besides, WE got along FIRST anyway.

Nicolas sticks his tongue out at Alycia and then offers an arm to escort her to the car.

Did I steal from HER? Or did her supplier unwisely sell her incompatible relics stolen from their original places and passed on to her? Which is it?

His British accent shone clear as a bell as he continued to not move a single muscle.

:: Alison jutted her jaw with annoyance::

Your impertenance is noted.

:: She said coldly::

Clearly you have no intention on cooperating or making this painless. You have the arrogance to stand there and accuse an innocent witch who is making an honest living of being complicit to something you know NOTHING about, something that, IF it occurred, COMPLETELY PREDATES YOU?

Xavier said:
In any case, though I do appreciate you offering not to harm me, I will have to decline your offer to be a party to perpetuating the relocation of relics from the powerless to the powerFUL. So your move, lovely lady. In fact, I must admit that having you harm me, just a little, is a rather ATTRACTIVE offer.

Xavier winked at the pretty sorceress...

:: Alison was astonished! Who did he think he was? some super powered ROBIN HOOD!? ::

:: Scoffing with a bit of a laugh::

You have no idea who you're dealing with.

:: This fast moving UPSTART! the NERVE of him trying to admonish HER, the KEEPER OF TIME and the guardian of "the secrets of the world", about the care and safe guarding of unique, DANGEROUS objects!::

But you'll learn now.

:: She said with a wicked glint in her colbalt blue eyes::

RUNE!

:: Holding out her hand, she calls for the object the speedster stole and it OBEYS, disappearing from his grasp in a flurry of sparkling blue/black orbs as she teleblinks it away. It is now flying toward her.::

Yes...we did get along first.

You're not the ONLY person who can give some hell, my dear. But I ALSO had to wear Cameron OUT more than a few times over the years before WE began "getting along." Don't think I can't do the same to you!

:: Alycia says with a smirk and a knowing tone.::

You may be physically stronger, but so too was Heracles and Hypolytta still humbled him just the same.

You have a lot of jokes. One of these days, those jokes are gonna land your butt in the DIRT!

:: she lets him go and stands there, smiling::

I'm sure your aunt told Cameron something similar.

Now then, shall we go?

:: there was silence at first as they got into his car::

Oh, you'll be alright!

:: She says with a laugh, KNOWING she caught him by surprise::

And maybe NEXT TIME you'll remember that you're not the only person who can enjoy a good laugh.

:: Eventually they made way to the Parthenon and up to the appointed place of meeting. Alycia's mind was already churning about...other things. Namley her friend, Rose and the children she sheltered....and the danger that was closing in on THEM and the fact that POLICE didn't CARE! She hadn't said anything to The Six yet, mainly because most of them were wrapped up in other things as of late....and some of them were acting rather MESSY.::

:: Now that they were there, they waited for Cameron and the others::

Cass wasted no time taking advantage of the sound system and karaoke machine. It was cute and amusing to both Blaze and Sally, who nudged Blaze and the two laughed (not in a mocking way) while Cass hammed it up. Maybe she didn't realize just how "at home" she was when she wasn't so self conscious!

When she finished and rejoined them...

"Now you can do all of THAT, but you're worried about standing and striking a pose in front of a camera?"

"What would SHANIA TWAIN say!?"

Blaze laughs loudly as Sally shakes her head.

"Seriously though, we've covered quite a big of ground today and I'm thrilled with the progress we're making."

Viv had shown up and joined the group, she agreed to model for Sally, recounting her earlier experiences as a model.

"Now was were those modeling gigs for Penthouse? Hustler? Or maybe MADD magazine?"

She laughed as she teased Vivica, nudging her.

"Oh, calm down Scarlett O'hara, you left your self open for that little shot!"

Vivica said:
"And I'm sure I would be in more capable hands with a FAR more professional and less LEERING staff than my college days...AND what is modeling if not an extension of ART...Sally?"

Vivica placed BOTH of her hands on Sally's shoulders and look her in the eyes with a smirk.

"You got yourself a deal...send me the specifics...I'm not sure I have the MOST time..but how can I say no to YOU....BOTH of you? [looking at Blaze]."

"Fantastic!"

Looking at Vivica and Cass with a wide smile.

"You guys are awesome for helping Sally and I out like this. Thank you!"

Sally said:
I'll have all the particulars sent to your email tommorow morning. There's not much to it, but it'll be there in black and white for you and you'll find it's quite easy to make a little time several days a week to stand in front of a camera and look pretty, especially with a figure like YOURS!

Vivica said:
She walked over to Blaze and put her arm around her, giving her a squeeze.

"You're lucky I happen to look good in next to nothing."

[turning back to Sally]

"..and I'm a pretty QUICK study."

"Well...perhaps I should study this boast of yours a bit more closely?"

The fire elemental lifted her eye brows and looked rather mischieviously at Vivica.

Cass loudly clears her throat, while Sally takes a long drink of another flute of champagne

Sally said:
Now, now girl! MAMA'S gotta have her plaything too, so let's hold off on THAT until we're back at the parthenon and we can ALL find our happiness...

in our SEPERATE SUITES of course!

"OH of COURSE, Sally!"

Blaze dutifully nods.

"But you know what they say about the 'industry'... 90% ..."

Sally said:

Thought Call from Cameron

"Guys...It's Cameron. Alison has alerted us to a threat in the city that will soon effect us. I need you all to gather at The Parthenon as soon as your business for the day. PLEASE keep either myself or Haleigh informed of your whereabouts."

"Blaze...Cass was named specifically in Alison's vision....along with myself. I'm assuming she is with you. I haven't alerted her yet because I don't want to scare her...but you know there are safety in numbers. Be on the lookout..."

Blaze paused, even after the communication was over, her happy look faded and she now seemed to be preoccupied, CONCERNED even.

Sally said:
Blaze? Is something wrong?

A few moments longer...

The 2nd part of Cam's message came ONLY to Blaze. Cass wouldn't have "heard" it, but Blaze decided that it was better to err on the side of caution, especially with a non-powered person among them.

[reply to Cameron]: Thanks for the heads up, Cam. We're heading back to the Parthenon now.

"...OH...ah I'm sorry...I just got distracted there for moment!"

Shaking her head quickly and waving her hand. She smiles again, playing off the very real concern she now had for Cass' safety.

"You know, we've put a lot of work in today. All that's left is to fine tune the set designs, costumes for the show and the choregraphy. That's what i was doing right when you showed up, Viv. Going over some basic moves and themes with Cassie while Sally was considering which fabrics to use for the costumes."

Blaze looked at her phone. Several hours had passed and it was now later in the evening. With the information she just received from Cameron, she felt it would be BETTER to get everyone back to the Parthenon, which was not as remote as XS in its location. By now, most of the staff had left already and the club was quieter now.

"I'm going to lock up here. Let's head back to the Parthenon. We can do more with the choreography tommorow. Right now, I just want to totally relax and veg out, ya know?"

Not a COMPLETE lie, but there was no need for Blaze to get Cass, Sally or Viv worried either. She wasnt even AWARE that Viv knew more about what Cameron was warning her about than even HE did.

Sally said:
Sounds good to me! There's a room attendant at the Parthenon that enjoys making...EXTRA TIPS from me with his SUPERIOR "customer service" skills

The girls giggle....customer service INDEED.

Sally said:
I'll get the limo around

"Sally? Would you have him pull right up to the front doors? That way we can just exit, load up and leave."

"Viv, did you drive? Want to catch a ride with us?"

She wanted to get them out of there as quickly and as orderly as possible. Firebird had more than enough power and skill to protect herself and the others, but something in Cameron's "voice" suggested that this was more nuanced than the usual "threat" that reared its head against the Six. And WHERE was Alison? why hadn't she revealed herself to any of them, her FRIENDS?? If this was something that brought HER from Minerva's Aerie to NYC, it HAD to be significant. Blaze would find out more and would feel BETTER once she got her friends back to the safety of the Parthenon.

Haleigh: "Well, while she's doing that we'd better call everyone and circle the wagons. Make sure we don't get ourselves cellphone video'd in the meantime. I'll call Specter, get him to give me a run down of possible dangers."

Ava nodded.

Cameron: "I'm thinking it's got to do with that group that stormed us at Balthazar.."

"Wait...what group? You both were attacked?"

Cameron: "I've seen them on the news. Their recruits are winding up dead. The Purifiers? I mean they seemed like a bunch of unorganized zealots...but they doesn't mean they couldn't cause us some trouble..we are usually numero uno on anti-mutant groups hit lists..."

"The Purifiers?....Sounds lovely."

Ava deadpanned, but just then she heard Cameron's voice echo in her head causing her to pause a moment. However to Haleigh it would look like she was listening to what Cameron had to say to her about informing the others.

Cameron: "I need to talk to you once Haleigh leaves..."

More bad news?

Ava asked, knowing the answer to that before he could respond telepathically.

Cameron: "Team's been alerted...Now if there isn't anything else...I assume I'm safe in The Parthenon and...Ava...I was hoping to meet with you in order to discuss some things you missed today..."

Trying to play off Cameron's need to talk to her alone, Ava lifted her brows 'surprised'.

"Work talk? Seriously, Cameron?"

Cameron: "...it COULD wait I guess...but I figure since I have you here and that I might die in the not so distant future...might be worth it?"

Ava slightly grimaced at his joke about not surviving. She and Cameron had become quite close in the months after Ava merged her company with Zenith and decided to work along side Cameron. The thought of him not surviving or being gravely hurt concerned her. It was a little comical considering their rocky past together.

"Okay....Hales, you can use my office to make your calls if you'd like."

But Haleigh declined, stating she wanted to head back to Clandestine to make her calls and that she would be back by the time everyone arrived at the Parthenon. Nodding, Haleigh dematerialized leaving Cameron and Ava alone to talk.

"Alright, what's wrong?"

:: Cass noticed that both Sally and Blaze had twin looks of amusement on their faces while she sang. When she was finished, she rejoined them with a confused look on her face. ::

*confused*: “What? What is it? Oh gosh, was I not supposed to have done that?”

Firebird said:
"Now you can do all of THAT, but you're worried about standing and striking a pose in front of a camera?"

"What would SHANIA TWAIN say!?"

:: Cass immediately turned red. She should’ve realized that both Sally and Blaze would’ve heard about her impromptu ‘performance’ but she was surprised. She gave them both a big smilie. ::

“Well, my ‘home’ is considered to be nightclubs; especially since I’ve been working them as long as I can remember.

:: She laughed. ::

“Well, how else would I find my…”

:: She glanced over at Sally, not too sure if she knew the specifics of what she did. ::

“…playthings, dearies? After all, nightclubs are the PERFECT undercover occupation for nighttime activities.”

:: She smirked at Blaze. ::

*meaningfully*: “As I’m sure you will find out for YOURSELF.”

:: She wiggled her eyebrows. :garrick: ::

“But seriously, your alternate did everything right. The sound system is amazing and the acoustics are WONDERFUL! Keep it up! This place will be packed in NO TIME.”

:: She gave her friend a hug. ::

Blaze said:

It was clear, to Cass anyway, that Vivica Lennox was the president, vice president, AND treasurer of her own personal Blaze Victory Fan Club. :p She shook her head and smirked at the two women before making a giggly face at Sally. She thought it was pretty cute how Vivica was acting. ::

Vivica said:
"You got yourself a deal...send me the specifics...I'm not sure I have the MOST time..but how can I say no to YOU....BOTH of you?.”

:: Cass chuckled softly as she watched Vivica accept Sally’s offer but somehow her attention was focused solely on Blaze…AGAIN. :haha: But Cass couldn’t exactly make judgements on Vivica’s actions. The past two months she and Blaze had gotten PRETTY CLOSE so she definitely could see what Vivica saw. Still, it WAS pretty amusing to watch. :p ::

:: A server brought her a pina colada she had ordered and took a sip before ssetting it down. She went over to Vivica and threw her arms around her. ::

“YAY! Oh, I’m so happy that you said yes. Now I’ll have a friend on the catwalk to keep me company. I’m glad.”

:: She was feeling better and better about being a model by the minute. She was happy that Vivica accepted Blaze and Sally’s offer. She had wanted to get to know the beautiful gallery owner better. Now she would have even more opportunities to get to do just that. That is, if she could tear her gaze from Blaze long enough to get to know CASS as a friend as well. :p ::

*shocked*: “Oh jeepers!”

:: It wasn’t the nature of the message that only shocked her, it was the fact that he ‘appeared’ in her head without warning…and without being with them inside the building. She looked around and picked up her jacket from the booth, putting it on. Whatever Alison saw, it was BAD. Cass wanted to get back to The Parthenon as soon as possible to hear what the hell was going on. ::

I wonder what the threat is.

:: She noticed that Blaze still looked…concerned? Preoccupied? ::

Sally said:
Blaze? Is something wrong?

:: Cass went over to Blaze and placed a hand on her shoulder. She spoke in a low, quiet voice so Sally wouldn’t hear. ::

“Hey, whatever Alison saw we’ll deal with it, okay? We are the Six. It’s what we do.”

:: Cass had no idea that Cameron ‘sent’ another message to Blaze…or that it was even about HER. She just assumed Blaze was worried about the GENERAL message Cameron had ‘sent’ out. ::

We’re on our way, Cameron.

Parthenon - Ava's Penthouse

Ava: "More bad news?"

Cameron smiled to himself all the while continuing to talk. Both Ava and Cameron at this points were experts in understanding how to get one over on Haleigh and not let her know something pertinent was going on. They were both able to control their body movements and tone to act in such a way that would not alert her to what was happening. Cameron sent Ava a thought back.

"Might as well keep the party going, right?"

Once Cameron alerted the team he made the ploy with Ava to talk about work as Ava offered her office to Haleigh who declined, instead preferring to return to Clandestine in order to get a more hands on answer to the questions that she had. Now Ava and Cameron were alone as the rest of The Six began to make their way to The Parthenon, some of them were already arriving.

Ava: "Alright, what's wrong?"

Cameron let out a smile and halphazardly laughed.

"Oh just everything."

He sat down on the couch with his drink in his hand as he began to recount to Ava what had transpired today.

"Haleigh, Delilah and I had lunch at Balthazar's today...everything was going smoothly until we had a surprise visitor --- MALICE who proceeded to give Delilah a gift, congratulating her on motherhood. A goddamn silver RATTLE, Ava..right in front of us..."

[shaking his head]

"And with Delilah being how she is right now couple with how BRUTAL and TERRIBLE that gift was, did not back down. The two cut each other down with words as Delilah attempted to make a move...She didn't of course...because of the truce...but Malice began to manipulate the area around us...causing panic with pedestrians, servers and patrons alike....Delilah escaped in a flash of light and so did Malice..."

[thinking for a moment]

"Everybody was fine...no physical damage was done...only emotional..but it's a sign that Diana is planning somebody. She went after Delilah on purpose. She wants the truce broken but she doesn't want to give us the satisfaction of breaking it herself...She knew what she was doing going after Delilah...and then there's your sister...."

Cameron rose to his seat and leaned against the wall, taking a sip of his cocktail before continuing.

"The second that Malice showed up...Haleigh went...."offline" for lack of a better word. She's blacking out again...just like she did when you FIRST came to NYC to live with us...but then I got to thinking...the last time anybody was in Haleigh's brain was when DIANA put her back together again via a psychic surgery of sorts...but you know as well as I do that Haleigh is NOT the same Haleigh and as narcissistic as I am...It's not because she's up in arms over ME..."

[cracking a half smile]

"Ever since Haleigh has been back...her mind has been BLOCKED completely from myself and from Nicolas. From ANY telepath really...and it's the work of MALICE. Somehow when they merged...Haleigh MUST have seen something...I'm thinking from Diana's past, something that Diana doesn't want us to know about her...so in an effort to keep her secrets, she sealed Haleigh's mind...

He threw his hands in the air in an almost 'maybe i'm crazy' motion.

"All of this might seem unrelated...but it's NOT. Diana does NOTHING out of the goodness of her heart...and when she fixed Haleigh, she did it because she KNEW it would serve HER interests...and when I tried to bring this up to Haleigh...albeit in NOT the most delicate way..Ava...the way she SPOKE about Malice...it was..well it was ODD.."

"She spoke of her almost with reverence...an understanding..she almost blew my notion that Malice is planning a big move up in my face...now I don't know how much of that was her just being angry at the way I approached the situation or how much of it because she seemed to have inherited the 'Cassadine' quality of never talking about your problems until they explode in the faces of everybody you care about..."

Cameron shot a knowing look at Ava.

"I'm an empath, dear...and you haven't exactly been up on your game these last few days...just saying.."

He sat his empty glass back down on the bar as he folded his arms in front of him.

"I know she's always had an odd fixation on Diana's nature...but for her to be almost NONCHALANT about her blackouts and about Diana's plans...well it's really unsettling and it's starting to maybe make me think that Diana has a little more control over Haleigh right now than Haleigh thinks...I know Haleigh is loyal and I know she is GRATEFUL to Diana for fixing her which MORE than makes my stomach churn...but I have a BAD feeling, Ava. And remember...I'm a KING..when WE have bad feelings...they MEAN something..."

"I can't talk to Haleigh about it because of my feelings towards Malice and because she can't hear ANYTHING from me right now because of our less than stellar reunion...I'm not saying even YOU should talk to her because she probably won't budge...She'll be indignant and she'll push you to spill YOUR guts first...which I know you aren't interested in right now..I'm telling you this because I WON'T have Malice take another person from us...and i'll be ESPECIALLY damned if the person she goes after is HALEIGH...Despite what you MAY have thought about Haleigh and I's relationship over the last few years...I love her Ava and I care about her more than I'm probably willing to admit at this point...but I can't watch out for her in the way I want to...she won't allow it...I need you to watch out for her...keep tabs, anything out of the ordinary you let me know or you talk to her yourself...I know it sounds like spying on your sister...but your sister needs help and she's NOT going to ask anybody for it...outside of that...she's putting the lives of The Six in danger by remaining silent...you know...I don't even know if she's thought that far about it or if she even KNOWS what's going on with her...and maybe I'm really off base...but I need your help, Ava..."

He stood back and waited for the goddess to respond.

Vivica smiled warmly...as OBNOXIOUS as Blaze could be, Vivica really liked her blunt and often times inappropriate nature refreshing. Vivica was a blunt girl too and she often found herself juggling an almost dual identity. There was Vivica who ran a gallery and was smart as hell and an agent for Clandestine and then there was the Vivica raised in East LA who grew up on brown liquor and hung out in the streets, that Vivica was usually reserved for the people she was closest too..and any other insignificant bitch who thought it a good idea to test her ;)

Blaze and Vivica were just about to go in for a kiss.

Vivica returned the hug warmly. Cassandra was an intriguing woman to say the least. There weren't many peppy people in the city, so it often times almost threw Vivica off GUARD when she was faced with Cassandra's nearly clinical optimism and brightness. She liked it.

Vivica cocked an eyebrow, taking an opportunity to pull out her phone where she shot a text to Oracle alerting her of what had just happened. Based on Zach's trip earlier in the day and from what she had gathered from Balthazar, Vivica was sure she was on the verge of a breakthrough with the Purifiers...and The Six would lead her right to it. Blaze snapped back into reality.

"Sally..You Minx!"

as Sally was busy arranging the driver to head up front, Vivica, Cass and Blaze took a moment to speak quietly.

Blaze said:

"I took a town car...but since I was INCLUDED in Cameron's thought call..I guess I'm off to The Parthenon with you guys...Cameron told me he would start including me in his life more...but honestly..I was expecting dinner and a show...not a damn doomsday message from Alison..."

The Financial District

Delilah stepped off the 4 train at the Wall St. stop and walked up the steps into the sunshine. But what was she going to do: sit in her hotel room all afternoon? Not likely. Not after what had just happened. She headed down Broadway towards Battery Park. The place she always went to when things got bad.

She couldn’t shake the feeling that everyone was staring at her, whispering about her. She shook it off as all in her head, but it still unnerved her. She ducked into the Gap store on Liberty and bought a black zip up hoodie, averting her eyes from the sales clerk ringing up her purchase. She pulled the hood up as she stepped back outside, walking past the giant bull statue and the Native American Museum, through the Battery to the southern tip of the island, where the boats to Ellis and Liberty Islands docked. She watched some children make faces at the street performers, faces painted with green foam Statue of Liberty hats on their little heads.

She made her way slowly up Hudson River Park, the cool breeze coming off the water. She pulled the sweatshirt closer around her face. She sat on a bench under a Japanese-inspired trellis, watching the people go by. She was anonymous, and that was terrific. Answering to nobody. It was almost enough to make her forget…

Damn that Malice! Frigid old bitch. In Delilah’s mind, Diana had already broken the truce with that stunt with the crowd today. Next time she wouldn’t have to hold back just for the sake of Cameron and Haleigh. She’d surgically wipe that smug smile off her too-often nip-tucked face. Delilah looked down to see that she was clenching her fist. Why did it always fall on her to protect everyone else? Why was it her job to hold everyone back from danger? Just once she wanted to be able to do what SHE wanted, let her powers loose – to not have to be so controlled. But as much as she tried to get away, the tighter their hold on her became.

Of course…

Ahh!

Suddenly her mind was invaded by Cameron’s ‘voice’:

"Guys...It's Cameron. Alison has alerted us to a threat in the city that will soon affect us. I need you all to gather at The Parthenon as soon as your business for the day. PLEASE keep either myself or Haleigh informed of your whereabouts.”

She felt like there was a noose around her neck. She sighed.

Guess that’s the end of my peace and quiet. Time to go get blamed for everything that has ever happened ever.

She started back towards the Parthenon. But she took her time. After all, it wasn’t far.

Sharon in the city

[ Through the swirling clouds of the night sky, she streaks like a comet on earth.]

[ Sharon Kelly, b.k.a. the Silver Swan flies like an arrow fired from the bow of Artemis herself.]

[ The mutate had a fearsome array of abilities including incredible raw physical power, sonic powers and physical constitution that made her well nigh INVULNERABLE. She is second only to Rampage in terms of raw physical power/strength, second to NONE as an accomplished aerial combatant and vicious fighter, trained in the ways of the Amazons.]

[ She has come quite far in her journey and her story would be unbelivable to most, even by the Six's standards, but she's here, in full effect.]

[ Because of her unique, altered physiology, mind & mental discipline, telepathic contact with her is rather difficult, even for omega level telepaths such as Malice. She did not receive Cameron's communication, but it was just as well. After being in contact with her sister Amazon, Charope, she began making her way toward the city. Her original course was toward the offices of Charope Inc, but now she was on her way to the Parthenon. She'd reach the Six soon enough and on her way, there could be any number of things that might require her attention or....or intervention.]

[ While she was not a telepath, or cyberpath, she DID have her own unique methods of mass surveilance and communication, particularly her telepathic link/control of all species of birds. Her unique psychic rapport with the birds allowed her to be aware of any thing happening as the birds saw/heard it. She also had sonar and perfect hearing, allowing her to hear things on frequencies that other normal humans or even most superhumans couldnt detect. These added a unique layer of sensory input to everything she surveyed. This could be a good thing...or a bad thing. Sometimes it could mean the difference between life and death for someone in need too.]

She was upset by his banter. Her pout was so CUTE!!

He sees her working her magic, and he is impressed. It appears that she can magically render an object into these pieces of magic in orb form, causing them to reform where she wills it to.

Interesting...

He remained motionless until the rune reassembled in the sorceress' hand. But before she could even feel the weight of it in her grasp, he finally moved...

...and appeared to be back where he started, STILL holding the rune. In the time it took to reassemble he had plucked it from her grasp AGAIN and returned to where he had been standing.

Now THAT seemed to REALLY get her goat. He chuckled at her increasing irritation.

Now now...there is no need for you to be so cross with me love. It is obvious that you are powerful and that you REALLY want this rune. I MIGHT be willing to pay your merchant for it AND educate her on better sourcing choices. BUT on one condition. What do you say?

He stood there, nonchalantly tossing the rune into the air and catching it.
