through the forest

:: walking along, she couldnt help but be amazed at Haleigh's devil may care attitude as they prowled through the dark forest, but she knew it was not entirely THOROUGH. they all had ways of coping but they had all grown over the last few months and it showed as the team was working more smoothly together.::

:: as they remained quietly mostly, it was clear that Silver Swan had rampaged through here a while ago...severed body parts, spinning stars embeeded in trees, zombie crows with broken necks etc ...not all at once...but just here and there...all signs that someone else had been through here.::

i'd say Sharon has definately gotten the hang of her powers and how to defend herself...at least far more than in the danger room.

:: at that moment, they all stopped as this GIANT SNAKE came into view...Alycia gasped and went to draw her custom designed golden desert eagles and aim for its head.::

Harbinger: Easy, Alycia...Persephone and I encountered this creature earlier when it attacked Spellbinder. Persephone was able to control it but not without some effort. its mutated genetic experimentation and escaped from within the mansion long ago..not infected with the virus. If it feels threatened, Persephone may NOT be able to keep it calm....

Alycia: :: snapping with fear:: Just keep it...AWAY!!

:: she hated snakes too...she might not have been AS phobic as Morgan but this was definately not her way of "getting information about oncoming threats" as Persephone seemed communicated with it. Alison stood close to Alycia ready to protect her if necessary.::

:: after moments which felt like HOURS to Alycia, the Snake moved from around them slowly, and was traquilized by Nicolas....Alycia's heart rate slowed and she quietly exhaled

:: Rampage took a proactive strike against the creatures that the snake had indicated to Persephone were in the distance. and Alycia was ready to move ahead, guns drawn and aimed as the sounds of the creatures being taken by surprise filled the night air.::

well there is alot more ground to cover...and if Sharon stirred them up...NICOLAS just pulled their tails for sure!

Arklay forest

:: Harbinger watched the snake unwaveringly with her cobalt blue eyes. SHE TOO was not fond of snakes...not NEARLY on the level of Morgan or Alycia...but surprisingly this woman who had faced down creatures unspeakable before...simply found snakes to be rather "untrustworthy" and "unpredictable" and perhaps it was that which made them so unappealing to HER as a seer.::

:: she did her best to keep Alycia calm as Persephone handled the snake, which had blocked their movement. THIS alone would have provoked Harbinger to attack and had it been anyone/anything else...she would have. as the snake was captured and removed, Alison tossed her hear back.::

Nicely done. but I don't think Morgan will hear of you keeping THAT in Illustra...

:: she said to Ava with a light hearted tone in her voice.::

:: Zombies..a group of them and a pack of devil dogs as well. a concentrated group of them? that seemed strange but Rampage took the initiative and while it might have blown the benefit of their somewhat "silent" advance toward the mansion, they HAD to hit hard and fast because what the zombies lacked in POWER...they more than made up for in numbers.::

That may be, Alycia, but we must strike them in ways they can not anticipate. these zombies are NOT the same breed as those we've faced before....given the data that Haleigh gathered and the history of the G virus, this entire area is a "zombie eco system" of its own. and while scientific minds would love to study it...we cannot allow the risk ...the DANGER to go unchecked.

:: as Rampage made his move Alison motioned for them to move along and pick up the pace. Much like Haleigh and Alycia being able to jog through certain areas of the forest that were more open. She thrust her hands outward BLOWING UP a few dogs that were leaping with feral blood lust.::

stay together but keep moving! we still have much ground to cover before we even reach the SOUND of the water fall!

the forest attacks

<< they wouldnt get far though, as they moved up through the forest, they came into a more dense area. the sound of zombies moaning was off in the distance but now the sound of BUGS was more clear....and from the lush flora around them, it was clear they were probably in a den of insects.>>

<< the plants, the flowers were all so large and robust...with "veins" pulsating on the stems and leaves. these were infected with the virus and soon, GIANT WASPS began to appear, circling and flying in formation , and large demented "sunflower" looking plants began to LEAN IN as well...spraying a yellowish cloud of POISON SPORES at the six while lashing out with their thorned vines. the WASPS closed in on Nicolas, the tallest and, to them, the most appealing target. they were as large as his biceps...and possessed tremendous resilience and speed. a sting from them could kill 10 men at once.>>

<< from the forest floor, large red scorpions with STONEY exteroirs began to come after Black Widow, Persephone and Alycia. the scorpions were the size of large house cats some posessing TWO stingers instead of one. they too moved with agressive speed and could NOT be crushed easily without the benefit of super strength or HIGH POWERED weaponry.>>

The hum of the axe sung in the wind as Nicolas sliced open a zombie, then seared the virus from him with the UV cannon. He then quickly turned and used the hammer end to smash the head of a devil dog into the ground, zapping him for good measure. His agility and speed were astonishing, and he clearly had an edge, for the moment.

As the rest of the group came forward to meet him, other critters made there way to greet them. For him, a loud hum was them accompanied by sharp stings that penetrated even HIS hide as scouts of the great wasps marked him for the swarm. Realizing this, he jumped over to one side away from the group. As the gave chase, he lifted his hands, and large columns of rock shot up on either side. Enduring some stings as he allowed the swarm to engulf hi, the columns suddenly slammed closed, smashing the swarm.

Nicolas reappeared at the rear of the group with several large stingers in his arms and back. He roared, smashing a scorpion in two before concentrating... as all of the stingers slowly curved out of his flesh. Grunting, he cracked a joke as he strode forward. His breathing was labored as his body fought off the venom.

Luckily, venom is NOT blood. I'd hate to ruin my good complexion.

Arklay forest

:: the forest itself offered more resistence as mutated and infected flora as well as giant insects and arachnids began to attack.::

Rampage is leading the giant wasps away. I'll take care of the plants!

:: as Rampage faces the deadly wasps, giving the rest of the team precious room to move and defend, she facees the powerfull vines. sweeping her arms out al'a piper hallwell, a spatial warping sound is heard as she TRUE FREEZES the thrashing vines....they stop their advance in time AND space as they are encased in thick blocks of sub zero ICE and fall LIFELESS to the ground, shattering. ::

:: coughing....::

the spores....they...

:: coughing more::

are making it hard to BREATHE....

:: both Harbinger and Spellbinder were especially vulnerable to GAS and some AIRBORNE attacks and the spores were caushing difficult breathing for Harbinger::

:: the cloud of spores begins to swirl around her as the large, demented flowers begin to pump more at her and she gestures al'a Prue Halliwell but her TK force wave has no effect on the cloud...her throat feels like its on FIRE as she is now CHOKING.::

the forest

:: Alycia had encountered the giant wasps the last time she and Haleigh were here. They used lots of gun fire to bring them down. Rampage definately took a different and seemingly more painfull approach. But his bravery and valor were definately sterling.::

giant scorpions! :: she pointed at several who were coming for her, Persephone and Black Widow::

:: the mutated scorpions were immune to conventional gun fire, Alycia quickly found out and as two scorpions began to try to sting her, she found that her ballet training along WITH her physical training since becoming a federal agent allowed her to be nimble and dodge the deadly passes made by the scorpions long enough to draw her repulsor blaster. one scorpion was cuming for her...like it had a GRUDGE! dodging to the side and rolling over on to her knees, she takes aim and BLASTS one of the scorpions, hitting it dead center. its stinger tail spasms as it squeals with pain and is irradiated with energy before being slammed into a tree by the force of the blaster.::

:: Harbinger stopped the vines of the massive plants from attacking and constricting the team but she was succumbing to the poinson spores. they were deadly for ANY one to be breathing in....::

Alison's choking!!

:: rolling forward, to avoid most of the cloud, Alycia pulled her energy baton from her thigh holster...and as the energy beam sparkled and flickered into power, it formed into the shape of a sharp machete. covering her mouth and nose, Alycia sprung up and swung mightily to decpitate the heads of the plants, cutting them off from the stems and sending them falling to the ground. the venom gushed from the stems and caused Alycia to jump back.::

:: she'd ALMOST forgotten about her ultra violet hand gun...as she pulled it forward and fired upon the now writhing giant stems and severed flower heads...frying them to a crisp and destroying all traces of the virus . it worked, brutally and thoroughly but Alycia hoped and PRAYED Morgan would come soon so that SHE wouldnt suffer from prolonged exposure to ultra violate radiation.::

I've gotten the plants...but Alison needs help she can't regulate her breathing..the spores have gotten into her mouth and throat!

Connor jumped up as there was a knock at the door, pulling a handgun from under the couch and moving silently across the room. He signaled for Delilah to be quiet as he stood next to the door, before carefully moving to look quickly through the eyehole.

He lowered his weapon with a sigh and turned the lock. He pulled the door open then turned and returned to where Delilah was now standing.

“You have a visitor.”

Nicolas was working against the chelicerates, his mind almost wandered as he was doing a combination of slaughter, dissection, and eradication all at once on a scorpion to his right. as He finished UV-ing the remains, he heard Alycia call about Alison choking. He turned to see them standing in a spore-infested cloud with Alycia trying to help.

Nicolas leaped into the cloud with them and, holding his breath, executed a thunderclap, his hands forcefully repelling the spores. he then did something quite unorthodox. Grabbing Alison's hair, he stuck a finger to her epiglottis at the back of her throat, inducing vomiting as he turned her to one side. As she puked, he reached inside his coat and retrieved a newly-teleported bottle of water and an epinephrine-injection pen from items he had laid on his kitchen table, just in case. He injected her as he held her to finish vomiting.

Calm down Alison, that should help. Your own stomach acid, at ph 1, should handle the spores, flushing them out and keeping them from doing more harm. Here, have a sip of water while the epi pen finishes its work.

He turns to Alycia.

She should be fine. Watch her here while I help clean up this mess. Here is a buffer to help.

As he turns to leap away, a stone 3-foot barrier erects itself ariound the pair of women...

:: Taking a couple steps back as the scorpions moved toward her, Persephone gestured out with her hand, instantly cooling the air in front of her to temperatures rivaling the top of Mount Everest. A gust of wind pushed the cooled air forward, striking the scorpions and literally freezing them to death, on the spot. But the goddess didn't stop there, the below freezing air began to sweep around the immediate area [avoiding the six however], freezing all flora into ice sculptures, preventing them from attacking the six any further. ::

:: Turning to see Nicolas helping a vomiting Alison, Ava stayed back seeing that Nicolas had everything under control. A crude method on his part, but nonetheless effective. Actually, Persephone was waiting to see Alisons reaction to having Nicolas shove his finger in her mouth and down her throat. :p ::

embarrased

:: Alison's eyes felt like they would POP OUT from the strain. it was too hard to think of a spell ...ANYTHING to reverse the effects of the spore cloud and as Alycia delt with the flowers and stems, Rampage came....Harbinger was BEYOND shocked as he pulled her by the hair and stuck his finger in her mouth and down her throat. her arms flailed with disbelief and for a second it felt like he was ATTACKING her but that immediately went away as he turned to the side, holding her as she vomited and her body was wracked with the strain....::

:: vomiting with such force, ALison wanted to pass out but Nicolas held her for a few moments more until her body had expelled most of the spores. giving her fortified water, she held the bottle with trembling hands...coughing a bit as she sip and drank. Alycia was on hand for support as Alison's cobalt blue eyes betrayed a look of surprise and embarrasment. she HATED throwing up in front of everyone like this and WORSE>..having Nicolas jam his finger down her THROAT! if she had the strength she would have screamed at him but his actions, no matter how shocking, DID save her from suffocating.::

Alycia: god, Alison....are you allright!?

:: coughing a bit more as Alycia helped to steady her.::

....Alycia....

:: she spoke weakly.::

those spores...they made my throat seize up...my lungs were on FIRE.

:: with her hand to her chest, Alison was still regulating her breathing as she looked over at Ava....with that look of 'NOT A WORD'...she was already EMBARRASSED for DAYS behind this moment of her vomiting like linda blair from the exorcist in front of everyone.::

Nicolas....and his "QUICK THINKING" is what kept me from dying on the spot...these plants were deadly...but you destroyed them with the ultra violet gun and ....i"ll be allright in a few moment.

::she finished the water and allowed herself to take stronger breaths.::

we don't have much further to go. we've neutralized most of the virus carriers out here...both humanoid and animal/insect/flora.....

:: Alison really wanted to lay down and sleep more than anything else. vomiting like that takes alot out of a person, but she refused to show just how drained she was.::

let's move on in a few moments...

:: the forest held a few more surprises for them, but they had less than half way to go now.::

back in NYC

<< As Connor opened the door, Morgan hid her own rush of uncertainty and masked it with a GLARE OF CONTEMPT from her icy violet eyes as she looked at the man. She was 6'1" WITHOUT heels, and with heels ON she met him at eye level. the sight of him ...it was all she could do not to punch him in his face right now.>>

<< he didnt acknowledge her , instead informing Delilah she had a visitor and Morgan didnt wait to be asked in as she barged past Connor, walking with a brisk pace, and that model like bounce. her high heels clicking across the floor as she walked>>

Delilah!?

<< she called out to her best friend.>>

Delilah!? are you allright??

<< HOPING she'd say no so that Morgan WOULD have an excuse to beat the hell out of him, Morgan closed in on where Delilah was standing.>>

You know that this isnt how it's supposed to be and I came here to tell you just how I feel...I'm entitled to that and YOU need to listen. you can't just turn your back on your FRIENDS, your family, your BEST FRIEND for a MAN...least of all HIM.

<< Morgan always spoke her mind, Delilah knew that, and she knew Morgan had no problem insulting COnnor whether he was standing there or not.>>

As Nicolas stepped back into the fray, he turned his back to the pair of ladies in order to preserve what was left of Alison's dignity. In fact, the naughty side of him was impressed with how much it took to make her gag.:p

As he stepped forward, he was impressed with Ava's handiwork. She had managed to eradicate the carriers and the virus in one fell swoop. He raised an eyebrow at her as he surveyed the area.

Great job. This may be a larger solution, at least for the outside areas. An induced winter of THIS magnitude would definitely destroy mutated aggressive species, and other lifeforms can take their place as the area thaws.

Nicolas gestures, and the barrier around Alison and Alycia falls away.

We are falling behind Sharon. We cannot leave her simply to face it alone.

With that, Nicolas strides forward toward the mansion...

Speaking of Silver Swan

<< at that moment, far ahead and above, the Silver Swan is now in the open courtyard of the mansion.>>

<< while the Six made their way through the forest, after several encounters with creatures, Silver Swan had gotten frustrated and she, along with her gryfalcons took to the air and flew over head, by passing nearly EVERYTHING and after several minutes of high speed flight, they land in the courtyard of Spencer Mansion.>>

and back in New york

<< Morgan, true to form, barges into the hotel room where Connor and Delilah are, to begin speaking her mind. Her contempt for Connor RADIATES and If Connor is not carefull he could die tonight...but if MORGAN is not carefull she could lose her best friend FOREVER and unwittingly HASTEN the destruction of the six and mutants across the country...hearts are held captive by confusion AND anger.>>

the mansion

[ a zombie lumbers about in the courtyard...gurgling and moaning. the winds rise as a volley of gleaming spinning stars slice through the air. slamming into its body, chest, arms and finally its head....causing it to roar with agitation as it staggers back before its head is SLICED OFF by a blade, courtesy of Silver Swan as she lands in front of it...looking at it with a glint of hatred in her silver eyes.]

[her gryfalcons attack another zombie nearby, menacing it with their large talons and beaks, flapping their large wings as they confuse and disorient the zombie and herd it towards a precipice...and finally as it flails its arms the two large birds of prey succeed in causing it to stumble over the edge and fall down the side and vanish in the raging waters of the water fall. with each passing moment, they seem to assimilate the fighting and instinct that Sharon exhibits as they make their way through the forest and now to the mansion.]

I'm not afraid ANYMORE!

[ she screams as she looks around WANTING something to come out and attack her.]

Kyle! MOMMY'S COMMING!

[ and with that, she BURSTS through the front doors of the mansion...looking for all the world like some terrifying death angel. the eerie sounds and the sprawling sight of the foyer in front of her give her pause again as she REMEMBERS everything like it was yesterday...the lighting outside, the rain, Malice, Dr. Marcus...the goons....her HUSBAND...her SON....]

[her gryfalcons flutter in behind her and perch on a bust of Lord Spencer....as Sharon stands there..looking a bit dazed and dismayed at being back inside. no matter what instinct was driving her, the emotional and psychological wounds were still there.]

[no matter how powerfull she was now, she was still one woman, alone in a mansion with more than meets the eye...and terrors lurking in the shadows.]

[ Delilah tensed as Connor moved to the door, ready in case someone hostile came through it. It was interesting to not have to include something in that statement. But hostile it was, just not in the way she had expected.

Morgan came through the door and Delilah relazed. Connor was nonplussed at her entrance - surprisingly not worried considering earlier events in the day. She gave him credit for not shooting her immediately. ]

Spellbinder said:
you can't just turn your back on your FRIENDS, your family, your BEST FRIEND for a MAN...least of all HIM.

[ Delilah slapped a hand to her forehead. After a second's pause she took a deep breath and looked up. ]

"My god Morgan, this isn't about a MAN. You STILL don't get it, do you? You are so clouded by your irrational hatred of all men - except that gay man trapped in a straight man's body Nicolas - that THAT is all you can think of. You didn't listen to a word I said, did you?"

Morgan bounded into the room as if she were bursting in on a terrorist cell - or a sale at Macy's, he wasn't quite sure - instead of two completely calm individuals. But hey, he'd encountered high maintenance women before. He leaned against a wall casually, content to let the other two have it out, for now. He had to get in one comment, though, as she chastised Delilah for choosing a man over her.

He turned his head to Morgan and smiled.

"Well, you can hardly blame her for choosing me, now can you? Don't worry, sweetheart - better luck next time."

Nyc

<< Morgan's eyes widened with disbelief.>>

You've obviously brushed up on "How to be an asshole 101" since dealing with this prick.

Is this what its come to? you insulting us and using the truth as a WEAPON against us because WE are united against this moron and the DANGER he poses that you insist on dealing with? this man who is out to destroy US and that includes YOU. you ARE one of US you know.

We HEARD what you said...we just couldnt believe that it was YOU saying these things. You were always the one who saw clearly even when others were "clouded" in their judgement and NOW after all youve been through, all that youve seen and know...you suddenly have had a change of heart because of what?? let's not talk about who is clouded by affections for a MAN...ONE NIGHT with this...<< gesturing at him without looking at him>> MEAT HEAD and he turns you out so good that you're ready to SELL SHARON OUT to him? Whatever my relationship with Nicolas, you can BET that I wouldnt EVER let HIM come between me and my mother or my friends.

He isnt the ONLY human in this world, Delilah. What about ALYCIA? does SHE deserve the peril she's faced time and again? Is SHE expendable while HE isnt? Why is it that this man is so NOBLE in what HE does and suddenly WE are the bad guys?

YOU better get a clue and FAST because when things fall apart, since Alison vision has not YET changed in its out come, HE is not going to be able to protect YOU from what is coming to mutants and metahumans.

<< as Bishop makes a snide remark, Morgan looks at him and glares.>>

Don't flatter yourself, you arrogant toad. Everyone wants to know what it's like to SLUM IT every now and then, and i guess Delilah chose YOU to find out.

<< tossing her hair as she scoffs at the man. she turns back to Delilah.>>

:: Catching the look Alison gave her, Ava wasn't about to say anything regarding Nicolas' methods of ridding her body of the deadly spores. If it weren't such a dire and embaressing situation, she would of probably thrown in a joke or two. ;) ::

Great job. This may be a larger solution, at least for the outside areas. An induced winter of THIS magnitude would definitely destroy mutated aggressive species, and other lifeforms can take their place as the area thaws.

:: Looking to Nicolas, Ava nodded. ::

"Once we reach the mansion and everyone's...for lack of a better term, 'safetly' indoors, I will introduce a forest wide freeze, dropping the temperatures to Artic like conditions."

:: With that, Nicolas suggested they continue moving before Sharon gets too much farther ahead...but unbeknownst to them, she was already at the mansion preparing to look for Kyle. Walking up next to Alison, she rubbed her shoulder giving her a smile. ::

"How are you feeling?"

:: Walking along side of her and Alycia, Nicolas was a few feet in front of them, leading the way to Arklay mansion. ::

journey toward the mansion

Persephone said:
"How are you feeling?"

:: Harbinger kept replaying the moment Nicolas grabbed her by her hair , pulled her head back and stuck his finger down her throat....the scene became more and more embarrasing as she focused in on it. She did her best to mask the embarrassment.::

::in a softer voice::

...oh...well....a little shakey still, but certainly better than i was a few moments ago.

:: she was glad that Persephone didnt make jokes just now about Nicolas' actions...though HALEIGH probably would try her luck at some point in the near future. ::

:: rubbing her chest with her hand, began to wonder if she had picked the WRONG costume for this caper. true it was a reflection of her attitude and changes since relocating to greece, but she was the least clothed of them all ...a distinction MORGAN usuallyl enjoyed when it came to costumes.::

:: Nicolas and Ava spoke of catching up with Sharon.::

She's allready at the mansion. She will be determined to tear the place apart if she has to. her anger and her fear are driving her, but what she has in the way of POWER and desire to use it, she lacks in TRAINING and SKILL...and that will proove to be a problem for her the deeper she goes into the mansion. we must hurry to get there soon.

Nicolas, Haleigh we need to make sure all the species of plant and animal that needed to be moved out of the way before Ava's flash freeze takes effect are accounted for.

[ She pointed emphatically at Connor. ]

"But don't you see? That's it - he's a HUMAN. He's not a threat to us, not really. But once we start sacrificing some humans, then what's next? ALL humans? If Alison's vision is true then we would all be better off WITHOUT them. IS that what's next? Because the way you all talk it's not too far of a jump. And I will NOT have that on my conscience."

[ Her arm dropped to her side, her voice became calmer. ]

"For god's sake, Morgan, we both know if you really thought Connor could have harmed Sharon you would NEVER have left her there alone. You left her there so she could murder him. And you criticize me because I didn't want to stand by and let Sharon kill someone, because I tried to stop her when her adversary was already down, when she was in a public place and risking exposure. I would HOPE that you would stop ME if I was going to kill someone if it wasn't absolutely necessary. And it wasn't, not this time."

[ She turned away, crossing her arms, and looked out the window. ]

"You want to believe that the Six play by different rules than everyone else. But did you ever stop to think that WE are the cause of Alison's vision? That it is US who make that happen? All we need to do is make ONE mistake, just one, that we can't take back. That we can't magick away. One time where innocents die and it's OUR fault, and the world knows about it. That's all it will take. And it WILL happen if keep on like this. Keep thinking that our agendas are more important than people's lives."

[ She turned back to Morgan. ]

"We aren't protecting humans anymore, Morgan, we're protecting US. And that's not what I signed on for. I can't sit there and watch us destroy innocent lives. Not when no one but me seems to think there's anything wrong with that."
