<< the long, weary night gives way to dawn..as "long" as it seemed...it all comes to an end almost TOO quickly for some in Illustra's private residence floors.>>

<< today will be the day Alycia bids her farewell to the team, as she will no longer be able to be as PERSONALLY involved with them as she has been in the past. She goes on to accept her new position in the government as Special Assistant to the National Security Advisor of the President of the United States, Chairwoman of the Commission on Superhuman Activities, and liaison between The Six and the government>>

<< it will be an uneasy bridge between the group and the government at best...for the US government's long standing "marriage" to mystech behind closed doors is still a sore spot...Senator Sharon Kelly lost her life while trying to cut the ties between the goverment and mystech and her death paved the way for ground breaking change and scrutiny...but still the price of her LIFE was not something Morgan, Alison, Delilah or even Alycia were willing to forgive.>>

<< Haleigh will find that Ethan was not killed, but at the same time has been forbidden to return to the parthenon or illustra. he's been cast out by morgan and alison following his interrogation. she, of course has her OWN problems..mainly repairing her standing in the six and her relationship with her team mates..but thanks to the help of Dr. Karen Victoria, Haleigh now has a clear view for change. Change never comes easy but transition is apart of growth.>>

<< with some questions answered by Ethan's interrogation, MORE were raised..and it became clear that the WORLD was not safe for mutants and metahumans. there were more secrets to be revealed, more challenges to overcome and more terrors to face....today was a new day for them all to look ahead with eyes wide open.>>

Illustra - 103rd Floor

[ Delilah yawned as she made her way into her apartment. The night had been a long and taxing one, and Limbo had a way of unnerving people long after they had left it. Spellbinder had returned them all safely home after they finished the "interview" with Ethan, and for once Delilah felt like she had been of some use to the team.

She slipped into the shower, trying to wash the haunting remnants of the experience off of her. But it also gave her time to think about what had happened. She had never felt particularly afraid of being found out as a mutant. She had left Quantico because of it, yes, but not because she feared for her personal safety. But with the revelation of how deep the anti-mutant feeling in the world went...for the first time it made her nervous. Perhaps it was knowing the possible future what Spellbinder had shown Ethan, and the effect it had had on the assassin. Perhaps it was her being afraid for the team, for the surrogate family she had here. But whatever the cause, she was a little afraid.

But there had been another startling revelation of the night that didn't involve Ethan - she was starting to like Persephone...er...Ava. She hadn't really before thought that they would have anything in common, but now she was beginning to really think of her as a team mate.

She finished showering and slipped on some pj's and into bed for some much needed rest. But her mind was restless with thoughts of Ethan Cruise - out there, free. She hoped they had made the right decision. She wasn't looking forward to having to watch her back for the rest of her life. ]

Illustra- crystaline lobby

<< down in the crystaline lobby area of Illustra's mainfloor, Morgan and Alison stand with Alycia as they wait for the limo to pick Alycia up and zoom her off to the airport.>>

<< it is a quiet, somber morning...the end of an era for the women as Alycia had been close to Morgan and Alison, not just as colleagues but as girlfriends, the kind of women who could go out and paint the town red. Alycia had stood by these women through thick and thin...even WITHOUT the benefit of super powers. She'd prooven to be a woman of honor, courage and tenacity.>>

<< Morgan looks over and speaks, in an icy voice>>

Alycia, after everything we've been through, I just want you to know how much i'm going to miss you here. I know you're moving on to a position that is your destiny, but please know that your office space on the 99th floor is always there if you need a private retreat. Illustra's doors are always open to you and you KNOW you can reach me whenver you need or want to.

<< she looks at her friend and smiles a bit>>

hot damn girl, you're going to washington with the big wigs. You'll be up on capitol hill where Sharon was.

Illustra- main floor

:: standing with Alycia and Morgan, Alison was sipping on some freshly made coffee and looking out to the few morning sky.::

I hate to see you leave Alycia. Even though you're going on to do what you were meant to. We're going to miss you around here.

:: As Morgan reminded Alycia that she always had a place at Illustra, Alison agreed.::

Don't you forget about us girls back here in NYC, you know you can still party with us.

:: "looking ahead" with her powers as a seer, Alison saw no danger, no downfall or tragedy for Alycia. everything appeared to be as it should be in all the most possible time threads and for that, Alison softly sighed with content. They had kept Alycia from harm, kept Ethan away from her and now, ALL of their futures looked a little brighter...at least in that aspect.::

Make sure that you let Morgan and I know that you're all settled in Washington. that way we can patch your office and residence into Illustra's security system and we'll always be connected.

Illustra-main lobby floor

:: Alycia stood with her friends. The day seemed so "dreamy" with the fresh morning air and the dew on the flora around Illustra's office park outside. She could hardly believe things were happening the way they were and that this was FOR REAL. She was finally getting to a level that was even beyond the success she had enjoyed and become respected for all this time! she would be in a position to build a bridge between mutants and the federal government and have more than enough power behind her to continue Sharon Kelly's war against Mystech's influence on government policy.::

:: the road to this point was not without its hard moments and outright tragedy though...as she held a picture frame with Sharon Kelly in it. the rest of her luggage was being handled by an attendant as they waited for the limo.::

Thank you both... :: she said rather softly.::

If it hadnt been for your help and protection more than once..i might not be here now. I just hope that I can do Sharon Kelly JUSTICE as i take this new position. It's going to require some changes on my part...I'm going to have to "keep up appearences". But at least now I'll be able to help finish what she started.

I couldnt have gotten here without you Morgan...or you Alison.

:: the three women hug. Alycia realizes that this will be her last time at Illustra for long while. she wont be able to hobknob with the NYC social and political elite, nor will she be able to party with her girls. the gravity of it all gets to her and she's a bit misty eyed as she hugs her friends.::

I wish...Sharon was here to see this...how far you've come...how MysTech has taken such a HIT.

Illustra-crystaline lobby

<< Hugging her friend, Morgan closes her eyes and feels a little sad herself when thinking about Sharon and how she CAN'T be here.>>

I know....me too...

But Sharon IS with us. We honor her memory and her spirit. She rests easy now knowing that her death wasn't in vain. As long as we remember her, and we think of her and try to further the work she did....she'll never TRULY be "dead".

<< holding Alycia's hand.>>

you were a good friend to her, you two were an example of what SISTERHOOD is all about. She may not be here with us physically, but you continuing on and fullfilling your destiny is what she would have wanted most.

<< Morgan smiles.>>

Nicolas created that beautifull monument for her on his balcony and she lies in "Hope" Cemetary, along with Cameron. We'll all make sure to visit her.

<< the long, sleek, black limo comes around the circular drive through Illustra's office park and pulls up to the doors of the crystaline lobby.>>

well, there's your ride. Alison has done a check with her precognition...and there's no danger....but IF anything happens..you press that panic button..you hear me?

<< Morgan hugs Alycia again.>>

now go on...give em HELL in Washington girl!

until we meet again

:: Alycia nods and smiles a bit as Morgan encourages her...ALL of them really..about Sharon.::

::Alycia knows she's right. Sharon and her father, whom ignited the fire in Alycia to go against mystech in the first place, are watching her even now...and they would most certainly approve.::

:: she holds the picture of Sharon in her hand and looks at Morgan.::

I'll miss you Morgan...all of you. You guys are truly special and the WORLD owes you their lives...they may never know it..but those of us that know you will never forget it.

:: the limo comes around and Alycia takes her carry on luggage and hands it off to the attendant.::

please say goodbye to Nicolas and Delilah. tell them both that I thank them for helping me as much as they did and that i'll miss them.

Good luck with EVERYTHING you guys, we'll be in touch, i promise you.

:: stepping outside the doors, Alycia turns back and waves. Morgan and Alison wave in return and the woman is helped into the limo. the door shuts and a few moments later, it slowly leaves the circular drive and heads away from Illustra.:

:: Alycia Barnett leaves Illustra and the Six to embark on her new direction...fullfilling her destiny as she was meant to.::

Nicolas' Balcony

Nicolas watched from his balcony as the limo carrying Alycia left the circular path and headed out into the street. He would miss her very much. It was amazing that they had come so far considering how they had started. But there they were, and he couldn't just let her go without a goodbye.
As Alycia sat in the limousine, she could her a voice in her head, speaking smoothly to her in a deep voice.

I am sorry to interrupt the thought sof one as dignified as yourself Madam, but I wish to voice my sincerest hope that you do all that you set out to do. Know that we are always with you, that we love you...and even though I leave your mind and your thoughts as your own, that if you EVER need me, need US, I am just a thought away. If you call me hard enough, I WILL hear and answer you. Take care, Alycia.

With a tear watering his eyes, the telepath turned back to his room. He hadmuch to do today, and he was not one to waste time. So he dressed and prepared for the day's events.

Central Park

Ethan was beyond tired and emotionally drained. Delilah was good, he understood now why she was revered among the New York City Police Department and where she stood in the Six. He just didn't know. He felt himself in a perplexed state. Ethan needed to move on in his life. While he was interrogated in Limbo he had came to a revelation. He had been living life without living. He was a shell. He was nothing. Ever since the death of his lover, he wanted to numb the pain, he wanted to show the world what he felt. It was what why he got into the business of Contract Killing. He wanted revenge on the people he thought took his best friend and lover away from him. As he sat in a small cafe just outside Central Park, he looked at the letter in his hand and was a little confused on what to do.

[Dear Mr. Cruise,
It is our distinct pleasure to offer you a position in our institution. The English Department is a place that many students are passing up in order to pursue more new age and technological career fields and our entire staff feels that you are just the person Columbia needs to boost excitement within the English Department. We are requesting your response to this position by the end of the week. With your accordance we can discuss, benefits, salary and placement later this week. We sincerely hope that you will want to be an addition to the great University that is Columbia.
Thank You,
Diana Phillips
Head of Columbia School of Literature]

He had sent the letter months ago only after a friend of him within the Intelligence world begged him. Ethan never expected to hear anything back. He had been out of the teaching profession for years and he wasn't even sure if he COULD do it. At one point in his life, all he wanted to do was educate people on the beauty and passion of Literature, but at the direction his life turned now, he wondered if he had lost that part of him, not to mention the building tension with the Six and him really not being sure as to whether or not they wanted to kill him. He needed to know some kind of direction in order to move on with his life. He picked up his cell phone and pressed a button as he reached Haleigh's private number and left a voice mail message.

"Haleigh Davidoff, it's Ethan. Don't worry. I am putting up the White Flag, I just need to talk to you, well I just need to talk to somebody. If you could meet me later in Central Park at Sundown. I will be wearing a burberry trench coat, by the pond Alison threw me into last night. I can't wait..."

Ethan put his phone down and sipped on his latte, taking in the warm foam and steamed milk, just trying to relax from what he had experienced the night before. It made him respect Morgan on a whole new level.

104th floor

:: Sitting in her new office in her penthouse, Ava scanned through a few files that laid on her desk. Looking up to her computer screen, she hit a few buttons, browsing onto another page. Sitting back in her large leather chair, Ava had been researching everything under the sun about Cassadine Enterprises since her return from Limbo. The company was offically hers as of two minutes ago. With Stavros dead, and Persephone's new found place in this world as Ava, naturally, her 'father' had left the company under her name, giving her soul rights to do whatever she damn well pleased with it. And Ava knew exactly what she wanted to do... ::

:: Picking up her landline telephone, she dialed Morgan Victoria's cell number before placing the phone by her ear. Closing a few folders, Onyx, Ava's 5 month old black panther, brushed up against the goddess' black pants, desperately wanting attention. Onyx was new to Ava's family; only living with the goddess for about a week. After learning a rescued panther from South East Asia was being transported to the Central Park zoo--via the newspaper--Ava took it upon herself to rescue the panther herself from a life of living in solitude and being shown off like a prized position. The van transporting the panther 'mysteriously' crashed on route to the zoo, resulting in the cat's "death". Or so the local media claimed. ::

:: Scratching Onyx behind the ear, Persephone awaited Morgan to pick up her cell phone. ::

Illustra- to the 98th floor

<< With Alycia safely on her way, Morgan and Alison slowly walked together and talked about Illustra business. there was much to discuss as well as put in motion, including offering Nicolas a modeling contract and discussing partnerships with his own company for various functions. Morgan and Alison both had office suites on the 98th floor and so they rode the elevator together.>>

<< the day was just getting started for most of the city and so it was likely that the other members of the Six were just getting started with their day as well.>>

<< Morgan's cellphone rang, it was Ava.>>

I'll see you this afternoon at the meeting, Alison. dont forget to bring those contracts too.

<< she winked as she and Alison went opposite directions down the hall of the98th floor, she answered her phone as well.>>

Hello, this is Morgan.....

<< she waited to see what Ava wanted.>>

104th Floor

:: Hearing Morgan answer the phone, Ava patted Onyx on the head as she sat up straighter and leaned forward toward her desk. Onyx moved her head from Ava's lap and curled up along the side of her desk realizing Ava had buisness to attend to. ::

"Morgan, it's Ava. Could you please come to my penthouse as soon as possible. I need to discuss something with you."

Illustra-98th floor

<< Morgan was just seating herself at her large desk when Ava asked her to come up THERE to her penthouse?>>

<< that wouldnt have been a problem normally but Morgan faced a busy day and needed to be at the helm of things in her office.>>

I'm afraid i can't come there just now, Ava. I've got to get things going for Illustra's business day However, why dont you come down here to my office on the 98th floor? go to the right once you get off the elevators. I'd be glad to talk to you down here.

<< Morgan was already surfing through emails, mostly CC's and looking over more offers from other companies wanting to get Illustra's media publication contract.>>

Illustra-98th floor (Alison's end)

:: down the left of the hallway and on HER side of the 98th floor, Alison Marble was getting started with her day as chief of operations and special assistant to Morgan.::

:: the first thing on the agenda was to contact Nicolas AND Delilah.::

::pressing a button on her com link, an alert tone sounds off in Nicolas' private quarters.::

>>>Nicolas, this is Alison Marble. Do you have time for a meeting with Morgan and myself at 12 noon? Lunch will be provided.

:: she placed a "call" to Delilah as well on the 103rd floor.::

>>>Delilah, Alison here. Can you come down to the 98th floor, to my office now?

104th floor

:: Gathering a few files and stacking them on top of each other, Ava heard Morgan request that she go to her office. Rolling her eyes slightly, she nodded to herself. ::

"I'll be there shortly."

:: Hanging up the phone, Ava stood from her desk, gathering the folders into her arms. Within seconds the goddess disappeared in a tornado of winds and reappeared outside of Morgan's office. She was juggling too much to travel through Illustra to meet with Morgan...::

:: Knocking on Morgan's office door, Persephone tucked her long chocolate locks behind her ear, exposing one of her beautifully crafted golf serpant earings that hang from her lob. Even though she had no where to go, she still dressed in a respectable manner. A black wrap dress that fit tightly against her toned body and rested above her knees. Black ankle wrap shoes and a matching gold serpant cuff braclet finished off her casual, yet sleek attire. ::

:: Awaiting Morgan to allow her entry, Ava flipped open the top file allowing her eyes to scan over it once again for a quick overview before she presented Morgan with her proposal. ::

Illustra-98th floor, Morgan's end

<< Morgan's receptionist promptly opened the door to office suite and offered to take the files for Persephone as she showed her to Morgan's inner office.>>

Receptionist: Miss Victoria?, Miss Cassadine here to see you.

<< from within her office, Morgan looked up from her desk and smiled, waving them in.>>

<< in an icy voice>> Thank you.

Come in, Ava. please sit down.

<< the receptionist placed Ava's files on the area of the desk were Ava pulled up her chair.>>

Would you like something to drink?

<< Morgan looked very sleek and professional. it was a different side to her...the business woman. she was more than just a super powered witch, she was the ceo and key signature super model of the most porminent fashion/modeling agency on the east coast and if there was anything she loved more than flying through the air or using her magicks....it was THIS...the world of fashion.>>

<< she noticed the files Ava had brought with but before they got started talking "shop", Morgan took a moment to look at Ava, who looked very elegant herself this morning. alot had happened between them since the greece caper and Morgan had no ill feelings at all toward her. >>

you look refreshed, following our little "interview" with ethan in limbo. i think you surprised and impressed delilah with the way you menaced ethan with your mystic daggers. you must have been at ease in Limbo while in Darkchilde's timeline as well.

[ Delilah had just finished dressing for the day in a "babydoll" top and jeans when she got Alison's "call". She told Alison she would be right down. She quickly threw on some shoes and made her way down to the 98th floor.

She came out of the elevator and hung a left towards Alison's office. Entering she walked up to the desk where Alison's secretary sat. Delilah smiled down at her. ]

"Delilah Trelaven to see Ms. Marble. She's expecting me."

Morgan's Office

:: Allowing the receptionist to take the files, Ava made her way over to Morgan's desk and sat down. Hearing Morgan's offer for a drink, Ava nodded looking to the receptionist. ::

"Coffee, black."

:: Giving her a small nod as the woman went to retreive Persephone's coffee, she crossed her long legs while smoothing the wrinkles from her skirt. The receptionist returned with a black mug of coffee, handing it to Ava. ::

"Thank you."

:: Taking a small sip of the hot liquid, Ava smiled to Morgan at her compliment. Then a short laugh at her mentions of being comfortable in Limbo. ::

"Well, you see one techno organic demon, you've seen them all."

:: It was obvious that Ava was a lot more laid back and light hearted at the moment. Not her typical reserved and cold self. ::

"But I am glad I could help out with Ethan in Limbo."

:: Taking one more sip of her hot coffee, she inched forward and placed the mug on Morgan's desk, now getting to buisness. ::

"I have a monumental proposal for you, Morgan."

:: Opening one of the folders she had brought with her, she slid it forward toward the blonde. The papers exposed showed Stavros' will, which was faxed to Persephone earlier this morning. ::

"With Stavros dead, Cassadine Enterprises is now offically mine. As president of this company, I have complete pull over who I sell my weapons to. Which puts me into an extremely powerful position."

:: Opening another folder, Persephone placed it on top of the folder she had previously slid to Morgan. This folder had stock information, and other numbers regarding the overall net worth of Cassadine Enterprises. ::

"I want to merge Cassadine Enterprises with Illustra. With me, of course, helming the Cassadine front. This will not only expand Illustra as a company, but give the six an extreme advantage. We will have first claim to all newly developed technology, updated weapons and security systems."

:: Opening yet another folder, Ava placed it in front of Morgan. A document of termination, finalizing Cassadine Enterprises withdraw from supplying MysTech with any weapons, techonolgy, or money to keep their projects from continuing. ::

"And of course, Cassadine Enterprises' formal withdraw as a partners with MysTech."

As day breaks, Haleigh bids the Doctor farewell, thanking her for her help and sheepishly apologizing for being a 'stubborn bitch', as she put it, before heading back to her apartment on wobbly legs. She knew Morgan and the rest of the crew was back in Illustra... without Ethan... and she briefly wondered what became of him... but it wasnt too long before he left her a voicemail. She didnt answer, but instead milled around her kitchen as her strength came back to her, beginning to fix breakfast for her and Zach.

There was so much to be done... she needed to talk with just about EVERYONE... but they were all busy in meetings and going about their mornings... and she still needed to gather herself after Karen's spell. note to self: do NOT piss Karen off intentionally anymore...

She thought, as the doorbell rang. She knew already who it was... and took a deep breath as she retied her silk robe and answered the door. She looked him over briefly but didn't offer for him to come in. Wounds were still a little fresh from last night and it could be seen that she was in no mood to be provoked all over again....

Nicolas Apartment...sort of.

Nicolas was showering when the call from Alison arrived. he smiled as he left the hot water, toweling himslef off and putting on a classic business suit: A black three-button tailored suit with a crisp white shirt and a blood-red tie with matching handkerchief in the coat pocket. This was a new day, and he was ready to attend to a very long agenda.

He grabbed his compact supercomputer and placed it in its case, a surprisingly compact titanium carrier that kept its contents safe and operational. He had already sent messengers to deliver his notes to the Six, but he had a run to make first.

After checking for the whereabouts of his teammates, he silently pointed his messengers in the right direction to deliver his notes to each of them at the same time: Alison and Delilah in Alison's office and Morgan and Persephone in Morgan's office. Each of the ladies' notes was accompanied by a trio of red roses, and each note said this:

(TEAMMATE NAME), I apologize for my behavior last night. It is not the way I should have behaved regardless of the provocation and I am taking steps to make sure that it does not happen in the future. Please forgive my rashness and let us move forward. I hope to see you soon.

Nicolas

But in Morgan's note which accompanied a dozen roses, there was an addition...

P.S. Thank you for standing up for me and for believing in me. I have much to speak to you about on a more...personal note. I would request the favor of your prescence at 8PM tonight so I may show my appreciation for your kindness.

RAMPAGE

As he saw that his messengers were making their way to where they could deliver his packages, he made his way to the person that he most wanted to see right now: Haliegh Davidoff. He teleported to her floor and rang the doorbell. As she opened the door, Nicolas saw that he was not the person she wanted to wake up to, but he persisted.

"I owe you an apology. Regardless of how angry I became, I had no right to continue provoking you or to physically threaten you. That has no place among teammates. I also apologize for bringing up the Cassadine thing. We must try to look forward, and we can't do that if I keep bringing up the past. Lastly, I KNOW you are not racist. I did not appreciate that you knew that would bother me and persisted, but I know you well enough to know that you are ultimately not that type of person. I understand if you would rather not see me now, but I needed to tell you these things. I hope you can forgive me at some point."

Nicolas stopped speaking, looking to see what or how Haleigh would respond, if at all.
