Country Anyone?

Okay, let me just start by saying... Tim Mcgraw is the EPITOME of sexy... its too bad hes married...because i would have that man's baby. *drool* [we ALL knew I couldn't comment on something pertaining to the entertainment industry without saying someone was fucking hot... so there it was ;)]

With that out of the way... I'd like to say i LOVED his more popular songs of late... "Live like you were dying", "Just to see you smile", "Whiskey Girl", and the R&B/Country crossover with Nelly "Over and Over".

I'm a very eclectic listener... and I'm open to all forms of music, I judged each song on a case by case basis... I just about completely IGNORE the 'genre'... If i like the song it doesnt matter what genre it comes from. Being such a broad listener, I havent really gotten very DEEP in the country world of music.... but I do like what hear. I like Brad Paisley's knew song "Little moments like this", Garth Brooks [particularly "The dance" and "The thunder rolls"] I like a LOT of Faith Hill, Shania Twain's "Come on Over" sound, Blaine Larsen's "How do you get that lonely", Leann Rimes, Lee ann Womack's "I hope you dance"

As you can tell... I like particular SONGS rather than general artist's work...

Mmm, Tim McGraw. The tight little t-shirt and cowboy hat...in Friday Night Lights? Mmmm.

Anywho, good to see somebody else around here appreciates modern country ;) Gotta say, I can't stand "Do You Want Fries with That?" but I adore "Over and Over".

Oh, btw: Brad Paisley rocks my boot socks. My dad calls me and my best friend Ashlee Nicole "Mudheads" after his song "Mud on the Tires". Of course, we are also Parrotheads, but I think you can be both, don't you? ;)

"Mud on the Tires" is my current favorite country song.

I avoided country music like the plague growing up, mainly because I had trouble relating to most of the lyrics. I've expanded my musical horizons the last five years or so, though. I like:

The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band - Fishin in the Dark
Montgomery Gentry - several songs
Sugarland - Baby Girl
Johnny Cash - Several Songs

I also like looking at Shania.;) (and the girl can sing, too)

Shania is in a league of her own.
She still sells more than any country artist whenver she puts out new material. She is the biggest act in music in the last decade and she is very private and lives in Europe.
Shania keeps to herself but her music is always great and her last album was great too. It was one of the best selling albums in the last 5 years.
And Shania's COME ON OVER album sold over 39 million worldwide and over 20 million in the States.
Nobody compares to Shania and nobody in country music has ever reached her level of success. Shania has a child now but she is coming out with a new mega selling album late this year that will be another huge hit.

I was never a fan of Shania. her songs all seemed the same to me. Every album had a song on it about how a man better treat her right or along those lines. A Jingle hit. Reba is my fave and I love her music. More of her older stuff and my favorite song by her is one called "If I Had Only Known". That was a beautiful song and well written. Rascal Flats is another fave of mine...but that is mainly because they have such cute asses!!!
