Well I don't know how many other LOST fans are on this board, but two of us 'cluttered' [:raspberry] the shoutbox last night so I thought Id start a discussion thread.

Who are your favorite and least favorite characters so far?

Who do you think gets the best flashbacks?

What [if any] are YOUR theories on the 'island'?

The producers have decided to air the first SIX episodes of the seaon starting Oct. 4th and then put the show on HIATUS for the winter... comments on this rather peculiar call?

You don't have to answer EVERYTHING, lol, its just some starters.

I think Kate, Jack, Claire, Charlie and Hurley are my favorite characters.

Kate just plain appeals to me and gets the best flashbacks [imo]. Shes a strong woman and doesnt take any crap from ANYbody and I like that she co-leads with the Dr.

Jack is pretty easy on the eyes, even all scruffed up. :D And he's a sensible, moral guy who does the best he can to be fair and motivate his fellow castaways when they need it.

Claire and Charlie are a good pair despite their problems, and as seperate characters, they're pretty likeable.

Hurley's just plain funny. :D

While Sawyer isnt my LEAST favorite character, he is a guy i love to hate. I'd be interested in seeing more of his backstory or maybe if he would TALK to somebody so we can see how he really got the way he did and why he'll never change.

EVERYTIME I start developing a theory on the 'island', it gets blown to hell, LOL. :shrug: I'd be interested in hearing some others.

I don't know about this hiatus... i really dont like having that pause and i hope it doesnt upset the continuity of the season too badly.

Jack, Kate, and Locke are my favorite characters.

I really like Jack because at first he seemed like pretty much the straight hero and later on he starts making mistakes, making him seem far more human and relateable. His flashbacks with his ex wife and father were really good, too.

Kate's just a badass. :D I like her because she's a strong female character (it's not often you see characters so well-written - she's strong without coming off as a bitch) and has probably the best flashbacks of any character.

Another reason I like Jack and Kate is their whole relationship dynamic.

Locke just cracks me up because he's so eccentric.

Kate has the best flashbacks, hands-down. Although all of the characters were better fleshed-out by them.

Oh, and I hate, hate, hate Charlie. They should dump his ass into the ocean and let the sharks take him. :D

I don't really have any theories on what the island is. But it's pretty clear it was used for testing. Honestly, I don't care as long as they never get off it and I keep getting my Lost fix. ;)

The scheduling really sucked last season, when they kept chopping the show up with re-runs between the new episodes. I don't care how they do it this time as long as I don't see any re-runs. <shrugs>
