Mike teleported with the others to the room where Ava and Alison lay. He had no time to register anything when....BRIGHTNESS!! Then...Blackness.

By the time he came to, he could feel Firebird helping him up. He smiled his best smile and squeezed her arm as he finally regained his footing against her much shorter frame. He hoped that he did nothing too drastic because he did nto want to alarm her. Right now, Mike was COMPLETELY BLIND. He ocld not see anything at all, not the slightest thing. He noticed the temporal shift that accompanies a stepping disk, and he took a knee to steady himslef as he heard everyone collectively gasp. The rest of what happened was a blur, as the team stod strong against what must have been some incredible foe, and somehow won. He then was transported...

to the safe house with everyone else. he felt gingerly for a seat and his plight must have been noticed, because Morgan came over and touched him. His vision slowly came back into focus, at first quite blurry, then clearer by the second. At this point he was really quiet, contemplating once again what Delilah had said to him not so long ago.

<< as Omega Sentinel looked between Sharon and the two Nicolas' it was impossible to tell from her facial expression (of which she could hardly make now due to having a metallic, yet "feminine" face form) just what she was thinking, but she did not resist HER timeline's Nicolas as he took her hand. >>

<< Firebird warily investigated while mainstream MorningStar covered her in case it was an attack. but to their surprise...a trio of super heroes from the Canadian super hero team ALPHA FLIGHT were at the door. A woman named Snowbird, who bore a slight resemblance to the Silver Swan in terms of costume design; another woman named Vindicator and male named Shaman.>>

Vindicator: Haleigh?? << leave to alternate Haleigh to have contacts...mutant, human, or otherwise around the globe. the metahuman did a double take as sh e saw alternates and their dopplegangers around the place.>>

Alternate Haleigh: It's allright, Heather (Vindicator's real name was Heather Hudson) these are friends...good, welcomed friends. They helped us to STOP Master Mold, shut down the sentinels....they helped us ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK!

Vindiactor: We're glad you made it. Alpha Flight was prepared to risk international indicident by coming to NY to help you guys get out if we hadnt heard back from you after the initial underground movement that you were leading to Canada...but we've got some good news!

Vindicator: we WERE able to help Guardian and the mutants she was leading to get across the border. they are safe and so is she. We thought you'd want to have her back!

<< Firebird and Silver Swan greeted their Alison with hugs and cries of relief. it was one more step towards a most positive ending. The members of the alternate Six would all be granted asylum in Canada and they would begin to rebuild their lives as a FAMILY here....even Omega Sentinel decided that staying was an "acceptable course of action.">>

<< the mainstreams exchanged heartfelt thanks and well wishes with their alternates. with the promise that the alternates would search for theire Morgan, who was not yet accounted for and that Karen, along with Mike and other fallen former members/allies of the alternate Six would be memoralized.>>

<< with Ava and Alison carefully gathered, the time had come for Spellbinder to carry the mainstreams back home to their timeline, their earth. this last stop had been perhaps the most important, for a strong lesson was learned by them all...both sets of teams.>>

<< and now, as the alternates got th eir second chance to rebuild their lives in a world that would begin to heal from the nightmare that had just ended, the mainstreams would return to their world...and attempt to repair their own inner turmoil that had lead to this harrowing cross time caper.>>
