Haleigh appears, flanked by two of her operatives, right before the doors of Illustra. she looks up at the sky... she can feel the electricity in her ribs and the trouble in her hardened heart. something is coming, and Haleigh is getting tired of the feeling. They stop and turn though, as they hear the pounding of footsteps on pavement. Haleigh cocked her head slightly sideways, taking in the view. Shockwave, Prophet, and then Alison in succession, all running towards them.
"Interesting. I suspected Alison a diet and excercise girl... but she is.... really fast."
Man right:"It seems they are all running."
Man left:"Retreating into the building."
"Alright.... I guess we should go too."
She said with a heavy sarcastic sigh as Alexis passes them and Eva and two more men appear. She pivoted on her heel and passed into the building. The man on her left dug into a pocket and began tending to Haleigh's shallow wound, and after he wiped the excess blood from her cheek, she swatted him away and instead pulled a small handheld device from his breastpocket.
"Stop fussing... I've had HOLES to the bone. This... pfft. What's taking Victoria so long?"
She said, pressing a sequence of buttons on the device. It looked like a PDA... but its functions were much more impressive. Every technical design by CI was embedded with a locating chip.... including the new designs Haleigh and Morgan were wearing. Haleigh cycled through the various active chips in the field.... several HUNDRED... and found two listed together with model numbers that matched the suit she was wearing. The screen listed current vital stats and location.... and the handheld began playing a feed of the noise that surrounded Spellbinder. The ground was starting to tremor with increasing intensity... and the lights were flickering. Everyone stood around... quieting down as they could heard the cold metallic voice of a sentinel identifying Spellbinder. They all heard the ensuing clash of Spellbinder defending herself against the sentinel... listening on as Morgan talks to herself... fights the enemy with a spell to call power.... and then takes off toward Illustra with a last parting comment. Haleigh turns off the sound of wind rushing into the mike... She smiles and shakes her head.
"Any minute now.... she is going to realize that I am as valuable to her as she is to me.... and that my value would DEPRECIATE with my demise. Alison.... she listens to you.... perhaps it would do us all well for YOU to mention that little factiod to her."
She is not angry... nor does she seem upset at the fact that a high-power sorceress just made a threat on her life.... She looks around at the small crowd. One operative scans the room and walks around a bit. Two face the door and stand their ground. One remains at Haleigh's side. Haleigh watches Eva a few seconds, then Alison, Alexis, and in turn, Cameron. This is the first time she's seen this man, and she suspects that no one is here out of coincidence... Cameron can get a shallow read of her thoughts and emotions... but he also gets the sense that she is trained in suppressing and compartmentalizing strong feelings and past memories. It is an eerie feeling at best.
