..... Some of them don’t get along with each other so they fight and that’s funny. Like when Gambit threw that pie at Bishop, but it hit Rogue. I don’t know about the rest of you, but that’s the sort of stuff that happens in my everyday life.

this post from Marla was taken from a thread that Hawksmoor made and it got me to thinking of some funny moments in the pages of X-men and other comics that acutally made me laugh outloud.

like in a recent issue of Uncanny X-men when Rachel (Marvel Girl III) appeared at the top of the stairs in a short black cocktail dress and high heels. she was trying to be cute and she FELL DOWN THE STAIRS and landed on the floor with her legs up in the air in front of Cannonball and Wolverine :haha:

i have other moments i remember but what are some moments in comics that you've read that were just hillarious to you?

It's not funny in the same slapstick way, but there was a great bit in Wolverine's solo series a while back. It was a film-noir type issue, where he had gone in to rescue the kidnapped daughter of a friend. The whole issue was done Pulp Fiction-style, with the chopping around of time, and doing all the initial bit as a flashback rather than a current feed. The greatest line I ever read came after Logan had taken the girl out; she had her eyes shut so she couldn't see the room full of people that he had butchered. They got outside, and the girl asked him "Mister? Are you Spider-Man?" and Logan responded, as the camera panned fully around said room of corpses, "No, darlin'. Spider-Man's a cissy." That cracked me up for days...:D

I think that anything that Jubilee does is funny. I probably has something to do with the fact that we’re the same age. Most people don’t find her very funny. They find her annoying…as people find me annoying at sometimes. I’ve loved it in Generation X when Jubilee was making the plan for the team or something and she says. “They probably know we're coming right? So we gotta do what they think we won't do.They know we know where they are. We know they know we know that. So since they know we know what they probably know, we know what to do."

The funniest thing I can recall is in an issue of Spider-Man wherein Spidey has to fight The White Rabbit and The Walrus. This alone should make the issue funny (considering both villains are hard to take seriously), but it's what the Walrus says before engaging in combat with Spider-Man which got me rolling.

"I have the proportionate speed, strength, and agility of a walrus."

Spiderman couldn't hold back his laughter and neither could I. Good times. :)

I still believe Iceman to be the funniest X-Man. To bad Chuck Austen had to ruin his character. Anywho...the funniest moment was after Onslaught was defeated and the X-Men were in the destroyed mansion getting on with their lives. Cyclops was going into the bathroom and accidently blasts Beast into the tub. Cyclops starts helping Beast out of the tub when he slips on a sheet of ice and joins Beast in the same tub. Drake starts laughing and calls it the "Danger Tub". Cyclops then blasts Drake.

Later in that issue they're gathered around to eat pancakes and Beast is holding frozen pancakes on his fork, muttering "funny, Drake, real funny"

I still think there are a couple of funnier guys than the Popsicle: Deadpool for a start The Merc with a Mouth and Morph the slapstick loving morphing man. :D :haha:

Spiderman to me is the funniest hero. He always has something ridiculous to say, like when the New Avenger were going to the Savage Land and he was talking about what always happens when you go there. Classic stuff. his biggest rule was that you ALWAYS crash when you fly into the Savage Land. Iron Man did not believe him unitl after they crashed. Great stuff.
