German authorities watching Madonna

While I adore Madonna, you got to admit, the "disco crucifix" stunt is pretty lame and really not worth the effort people are putting into it. I just wish she wouldn't be so judgemental, especially considering that she was past such an advocate for the Christianity.

Madonna, religious imagery and controversy have gone hand in hand for over two decades now. people will complain about ANYTHING if you give them enough time to dwell on it.

in the end...if the "cross" means something to you, then won't it STILL mean the same thing regardless of whether or not someone else uses it in a way you find to be disrespectfull?

remember the "Like a Prayer" video? easily one of the most stunning videos she did during the 80s and full of a daring mix of sexuality, religious imagery and controversy- madonna covorting with a black jesus (among other things).

i think her LATEST "stunt" is not hardly as "eyebrow raising" as things she's done in the past. although the site of the "disco crucifix" was rather creative to me.

as a child, back here in metro detroit, Madonna (who personally recounted these events) ,whose father was a staunch catholic, would sometimes go to church with her family wearing nothing but a trench coat tied up with the belt. NO underwear or dress underneath. she often spoke of making love in a church.

Its so infuriating that Religious people take offense. They fail to realize Madonna adores PUSHING the limits, she'll do anything to provoke a reaction.

And Farrah brought up a valuable argument. Her Like a Prayer video depicted burning crosses lol, so many religious supporters detested her and the video. This new "disco crucifix" as they call it is another money maker.

Money is brilliant by pulling such a stunt. She knows religious people and leaders will react, thus the buzz of it. People will buy tickets to see it, and instant money.

I think people take things TOO seriously if you ask me. Look at Mel Gibson, I mean seriously. The guy makes a movie about Christ, which was also frowned upon but it rolled in the money. Madonna is doing the same aspect.

I don't take anything personally, besides any entertainer is allowed to express their views based on the amendments.
