Has anyone moved from an iPad to a Windows tablet?

Both my ipad and my laptop are getting to the point where I need to replace them, and I'm thinking of going with a convertible laptop to replace both instead of getting two devices. Has anyone done this? Wondering if I will miss the iPad. I do have an iPhone.

I haven't yet. Have been thinking about the same though.

But I'm mostly worried that I will miss the laptop for work stuff.

My biggest concern are the screen size. A surface with a 12" screen feels small for the programming and drawings stuff I do for work.
When traveling it's mostly minor stuff you do though, so perhaps it's not that bad. At the office you can connect a proper screen so that's no problem.

The iPad is most for leisure stuff, browsing the internet and things like that.
Most devices should work for that. Perhaps not just as good though. I really like the iPad.
Also not sure if there is something to replace iBook. I use it to read books these days and I have no idea what's available for windows there.

The thought of not having to carry around that laptop is very appealing though so I think I will make the step sooner rather than later.

I've been looking at 15" convertible laptops. My current laptop is a 17" and that feels too big to me. Though I do think they make them in 17".
:)

Nope. I have a PC laptop currently.
Then I would do it. If you were used to a macbook I cant ever imagine changing. I got four 2-in-1s for work and they are very nice...
I really like Lenovo and Asus. The ones at work I just got HP but they, as I say, are good.

Unless you really want the pen option I would avoid Surface or the new iPad, as you will be paying for something you will never use.

I wouldn't want to have a 15" for my lying in bed/sofa sessions that I use the iPad for now.
So I would need to compromise with something like 12".
