Heart Attack
Bank robberies, personal assaults/robberies, identity theft, and insurance fraud are on the rise NATION WIDE in america as the jobless rate soars and more and more people lose their jobs to outsourcing while others who THOUGHT they were approaching retirement with security are seeing their benefits packages yanked away from them after 30 or more years of service.
Desperation is really starting to grip more and more in the "middle class" and lower in this country.
TWO of my co workers were robbed on their way TO WORK in BROAD DAYLIGHT and BOTH of them said that their assailants told them "i dont want to have to do this...but i have a wife and kids to feed". NOT that im EXCUSING the robber...but its just one instance of many that ive heard about in my metro area and on the news in other cities across the nation.
more and more people are finding themselves in the "poor bracket" than we ever thought possible...and so my question is..HOW BAD IS IT GOING TO GET? I live in a state that has one of the WORST state economies right now because we are home to the auto industry capitol. many many people who were once riding high on jobs in the auto industry are now suddenly bounced out because companies dont want to pay american workers. they'd rather go the "cheap labor" route so they dont have to pay benefits after retirement or provide health care coverage.
I'm just wondering if anyone ELSE has noticed that things are not getting BETTER...only that they arent being talked about as much because of other more pressing matters like Hurricane Katrina?
