First season of Luke Cage is coming and I honestly do not care. I have not liked a full season of any of Netflix's Marvel properties. Half of both the Daredevil seasons really dropped in quality and the second half of Jessica Jones was abysmal.

And so a good portion of Luke Cage will be setting up Iron Fist and the cycle repeats. Maybe I just don't like Netflix's form of storytelling. I think vomitting all of the episodes at one time hurts the storytelling, as they are being written as episodes but as chunks of episodes.

This really showed in DD season 2 and JJ, so I cant imagine Luke Cage being any different. Right now I am not sure I will even watch it.
(even non-marvel shows like Bloodline, Sense 8 all suffer from being written for streaming, so it's not just marvel)

In addition to the storytelling differences I think that's why Game of Thrones is so popular- because it draws out the experience and you spend months talking about it and viewing it. It is a communal thing. If all of the episodes of GoT were released at one time the fandom, I posit, would suffer as everyone would be watching and experiencing the season at different parts.

Oh. That reminds me... of something else.
