For comic book fans, there's an endless and constant battle to prove that comic books aren't just for children. DC's Multiversity is the answer to that. Written by the mad scientist Grant Morrison, Multiversity is about a universe where comic books are a bridge to parallel worlds and have the ability to change reality.

There are layers, upon layers, upon meta-readings of the comic book, which took Morrison a reported eight years to write. A series of six one-shots with two bookends, Multiversity is equal parts philosophy and acid trip. It is so aggressively brave in its storytelling that it wouldn't be surprising to find it taught in schools one day.

On the one hand I'm surprised to be called out like this but on the other hand you are 100% correct

I have been loving Multiversity I mean this comic is just perfection. Personally I think Pax Americana was the best so far cause the effort to make a comic that can be read backward and forward is just amazing talent of writing. (Each issue takes place on a variant world with a separate plot related to the meta-plot of the series and I just want each world to succeed but so far its not looking too good for the multiverse)

Captain Carrot is one of the classic DC characters, but don't worry i don't think we're seeing him again until the end issue/bookmark to Multiversity
My only problems is some of these one offs are such great story hooks i want to see way more of the world they come from.
