Ororo's ghost story II: Apocolypse

[Rampage]

Nicolas was amused that Haleigh would dote on him so, but even as Karen healed him, he was already repairing the damage to himself.

They made their way to the central area where Karen hustled off to a room by herself. Nicolas was puzzled for a moment, then he heard the sobs. He immediately made his way towards her when Haleigh touched him and...

But she's UPSET. She needs-

"To be ALONE right now, Nicolas. She's safe, for now. Let her have this moment to herself."

He stopped. In any other case, he would not have been so deterred, but it was clear that not only did she know what she was talking about, but he could FEEL that she was right. He turned quickly and tried to learn what he could about the room they were in. In seconds he analyzed the workings of the room but decided to wait for Karen's return to do anything. In the meantime, his shirt was shredded, so he discarded it. It felt more natural to him in any case.


She soon did, looking as he'd NEVER seen her in a fetching snug uniform. His eyes widened at the sight and then he averted his eyes, ashamed that even for a moment that he look at her in THAT way. It would be a real indicator to the doctor that she still had "it". He shook his head when she offered food and drink.

You two have it. I do not require very much nourishment at all. I...was food restricted to nothing on three occasions. My record was 4 weeks with no food before any health changes.

Nicolas noted Karen's shaken look on her face as she did NOT know about THAT experiment. What else had he endured behind her back?

Do not worry Ma. I am fine, and my functions were still good after the 4 weeks. It's OK.

As Haleigh looked out and realized what was happening, Nicolas realized that people were out there as she did, sharing a bit of her elation. He watched her open the hatch and beckon to them, making the platform into a cage. It was then that he noticed the mind from before. He smiled and acted on their behalf. Nicolas reached out...

...and his axe rose from the floor of the structure and hung near the enclosure, waiting to attack Neptunes or anything else looking to get them as they came across.

 

[Persephone]

Ava remained quiet, knowing her harsh judgement on Delilah was making Morgan angry. She knew Delilah had done her best, but Ava was fed up. She just wanted to find her sister and get the hell out of this fun house.

With her hand gripped around Alison's, the brunette sighed out and closed her eyes, listening to Morgan as she discribed having a bond with her mother Karen. Looking up as she gestured to where Karen's direction was, Ava saw nothing but darkness.

"Great.."

She softly sighed out. But Delilah soon set off a flare...which ended up being more than just a light source. After a few moments, she heard a familiar voice call her name. Her breath caught in her throat as she quickly turned and looked up in the direction of the voice.

"Haleigh?!"

Seeing her sister on a plateau on the other side of the water, Ava's eyes involuntarily filled with tears. Her sister began to construct a metal bridge across the water until it reached to where the group was located. Mike quickly began to sprint across the bridge, Ava in toe. As she reached Haleigh, her speed didn't decline. Running straight into her sister, Ava tightly wrapped her arms around her, holding on like she would never let go.

"Oh my God! Oh my God! Haleigh!"

Crying with relief, joy, fear...every emotion imaginable...Ava truly believed that she would never see Haleigh again. Despite Alison's precognition, it was hard for the elemental NOT to be doubtful....especially after all they had been through that evening.

"I thought I'd.....I thought you were....Don't EVER scare me like this again! Do you hear me?!"

Burrying her face into her sisters hair, Ava shut her eyes as she clenched onto Haleigh's clothing.

[her voice less frantic] "Thank God you're okay..."

<< Morgan flinched...normally Delilah's power signature wouldnt bring that response but Morgan and Blaze BOTH were frayed right now.>>

<< the light flare brought an expected benefit...another HUMAN voice!? Blaze and she BOTH turned as Delilah pointed.>>

<< NOT another zombie or creature, but a HUMAN! It was HALEIGH! >>

Mother...<< she looks at Blaze.>> She HAS to be with her!

<< everyone ran quickly down the godsend tunnel that somehow manifested. Morgan and Blaze didnt know much about Haleigh aside from her status as a high ranking officer in the RPD so her status as a mutant was not immediately known to THEM.>>

<< as they quickly ran, hand in hand, they reached a large, circular room of some sort. a submerged control room. there was a large, brown skinned male , along with Haleigh and a small carraige with a mewing kitten inside?! but the details would have to wait as Morgan and Blaze met eyes with their mother!>>

Morgan & Blaze: << in unison with their different toned voices.>> MOM!!!

Karen: ...Babies!!!

<< the sisters ran to their mother and wrapped their arms around her...in an emotional reunion.>>

Karen: my darlings...

<< Karen shut her eyes as tears rolled down her face.>>

 

[Delilah Trelaven]

"AVA, DELILAH, MIKE, WE'RE OVER HERE!"

Delilah’s head snapped down, and she stared in disbelief.

“Haleigh…?”

She stood there, in shock, dazed. Haleigh fortified the bridge between them, and the others ran to her. She blinked. It all seemed so unreal to her. She wanted to call out, warn them that it might be a trap, but she couldn’t form the words. And deep down, she knew it wasn’t a trap. Haleigh was here, and she was safe. They had finally succeeded. They had found her.

She walked slowly forward. She saw Haleigh, being embraced by a tearful Ava, and Karen was with her! She watched Blaze and Morgan have their reunion, and her eye wandered to the young man who was with them. What was his part in all of this?

She turned her attention back to Haleigh, and smiled.

“Good to see you again, Commander.”

 

[Harbinger]

:: Alison fluttered in and out of consciousness. She was SPENT mentally and physically. Only Morgan could understand the pain that went into channeling magick to such an extreme degree and once the other witch shared some energy with Alison, the precog stabilized and was now able to breath easier and rest in her brother's protective arms.::

:: she was minimally aware of what was going on around her, the conversations and such, but the sound of the water fall was what stood clearly in her mind.::

:: it was the first time EVER that she was not completely in control, but she could hardly care as Cameron watched over her. soon, he carried her as they made there way...somewhere. where she didnt know.::


:: inside the control room of the aqua ring, Cameron laid Alison on a table provided by Haleigh. Haleigh confirmed that Alison's vitals were fine...just that she had exhausted herself. Morgan's magick stabilized her but she still needed time to rest and now...they had a bit more.::

not over....not safe...

:: Cameron could hear her through his sibling empathy. Was she still suffering from the effects of the rough end to their underwater ride? or was she speaking as a precog. eitherway, they couldnt afford to "hide" here for ever. daylight would be there soon and with it, the END of Raccoon City and the coverup to follow.::

:: they still had to GET OUT of this place!::

<< as mother and daughters were reunited, the three of them let go of the emotion that had been driving each of them through this nightmare. after a few moments, Morgan and Blaze looked at their mother and she at them.>>

what in the goddess' name are you DOING here!? how did you find me? I told you...

Morgan: we KNOW what you told us...

Blaze: AND what you DIDN'T tell us...

Morgan: Mother...we're here to get you OUT of here....ALIVE. We know you were trying to protect us...but

Blaze: we need to protect EACH OTHER as a family. Morgan has kept me on a SHORT leash since that shit in the forest...and YOU...you've CLOSED off from BOTH of us. I...WE want my MOTHER back!

Morgan: We love you, mother. don't CARE about anything else...let's just...get the hell out of here...while we still can!

<< Karen was DISMAYED that her daughters would display such emotion and speak or even HINT to private matters in front of all these people, even IF Delilah was the next best thing to a daughter to her. but her horrified , disapproving look soon faded.>>

my daughters...I will not argue with you. i would have preferred to spare you the pain and trauma of this nightmare but it seems no matter what i did...the nightmare touched you. Mystech has blighted our lives since before I gave birth to both of you. If nothing else...if we survive this...we will be FREE and we can...at long last, be a family again!

I'm sorry...for unintentionally causing you more distress. I only wanted to protect you...the way I couldnt when Blaze was in the forest...or when I lost your father to this awfull place.

Blaze: Neither of those things was YOUR fault, mom. Let's just get out of here...and worry about the rest later.

<< her mother seemed to relent, which Morgan was relieved by. For a moment, they forgot that there were OTHERS there, but those things HAD to be said if the mother and her daughters were going to be able to go FORWARD with their eyes open to the danger ahead.>>

<< as they came to a mutual understanding, Morgan looked around the room. She recognized Haleigh and of course everyone else, but the tall, large black man? who was HE?>>

and who are you?

<< Morgan asked in an icy voice as she and Blaze eyed him suspiciously. Mike knew how protective they were of each other and their mother. he had only JUST managed to get them to let HIM in. How would it be for Nicolas?>>

Karen: Not to worry, Morgan & Blaze, this is Nicolas.

<< Karen gestures to him.>>

He's been my unofficial ward during his stay here at Mystech. He was...for lack of a better way to put it...their ultimate test subject. a mutant with telepathic, telekinetic and endurance ability. He's young...inexperienced with the outside word as he has been here since he was a child. he was found by a recovery team in the wreckage of the Ecliptic Express.

<< the train that had disappeared in Arklay Forest over 20 years ago. Haleigh remembered the reports she saw on the train. It was the same train on which Sharon Kelly had reported disappearing from after the accident. She didnt realize though that THIS was her adoptive son or that there was ANOTHER son.>>

I've been his therapist and primary care doctor since that time.

Morgan: well...

Karen: He helped me to get through the mansion to set HALEIGH free. So be a good girl like i raised you and be kind to him please.

<< Morgan and Blaze looked less than enthused at him and of course HE wouldnt understand why, but Mike, Delilah and everyone else would the daughters heeded their mother's direction and softened their stance.>>

Blaze: hey....thanks for helping keep our mom safe.

<< Morgan nodded in agreement.>>

Yes...thank you.

Karen: your friend, Alison...I can help revive her to full strength.

<< bringing forth a "green herb" one of the the medical kits. the green herb can restore a person's physical strength and renew them again. its one of the few GOOD things to come out of mystech's experiments. she waved her hand over it, a sphere of magick forms over it. it quickly flies over and lands over Alison's forehead, touching it as her body absorbs its healing properties.>>

she will awaken soon.

<< Morgan and Blaze looked on as Alison would soon awaken.>>

 

[Prophet]

Control Room

Cameron made his way to the Aqua Ring Control Room, setting his sister down on the table that Haleigh had provided. Once again it was confirmed that she was in stable condition but the words didn't seem to ease Cameron's nerves. He had just lost the life he spent forever building in Raccoon City. Alison was now truly the only person Cameron had left and at the end of the day, he really didn't care whether or not the others lived. Their deaths he could deal with, Alison's he could not.

Alison: not over....not safe...

He could hear her. Cameron didn't know if she was under alot of mental anguish after the underwater odyssey or if she was trying to tell him something. Either way, he agreed with. He watched as Karen introduced Nicholas and Cameron suddenly felt very bad. Had he been able to maintain a connection with Nicholas they probably would have been able to find all of them alot sooner, and his sister wouldn't be injured. Cameron looked up at everyone.

"I know that you are all excited to see your families, but we still have the pressing matter of getting out of here alive. Daylight is coming and if we don't get out of here, Mystech WINS..."

He looked down at his sister before looking up at the others once more.

"She's saying something to me, I can sense it. She says we're not safe, that it isn't over. We can't wait for her to wake up, we can't wait for everybody to rest. We have to get out of here. NOW.."

The telepath wasn't sure how the others would feel but he really didn't care. If they weren't willing to leave and SOON, Cameron would leave without them. At least then he would die trying to save his sister.

 

[Rampage]

Nicolas watched as the group quickly moved into the containment area and two women rushed to Karen's side. He needed no introduction, but was taken back a mpment at their initial attitude towards him.

and who are you?

Nicolas, and you must be Karen's daughters...spitting image....

As he spoke his axe returned to his hand and he lowered it, his gaze meeting Morgan's. He displayed no ill will but it was obvious that his spirit was strong...unbroken. Karen intervened, explaining who he was and how he got there.

As she spoke, Nicolas sensed rising trepidation from the other telepath that overrode even the elation from Haleigh and her sister. He moved over to Cameron and double-checked the vitals of Alison. She was in moderate shock and exhausted. He returned to Karen and her daughters as one of them offered thanks. He smiled and nodded before speaking.

She has been a mother to me. I could do no less. However, it is not over. According to...Alison is it? We MUST go. NOW.


Nicolas lifted his axe to his should as he gently gave Haleigh a mental nudge.

We have to go Haleigh...

 

[Black Widow]

Haleigh, despite her strength, staggered back a step as she caught her sister, hugging back gently so that she didn't hurt Ava. She gave a small smile that Ava wouldn't see.

Ava: "Oh my god! Oh my god! Haleigh!"

"I know, I know. It's okay, you're safe now. I won't let anything--"

Ava: "I thought I'd….I thought you were…don't EVER scare me like this again! Do you hear me?!"

Haleigh looked confused, like Ava was speaking another language. Don't ever scare HER? Haleigh was the one freaked out of her MIND that Ava was HERE of all places.

Ava: "Thank God you're okay…"

"Of COURSE I'm okay. It's YOU I'm worried about. You should NEVER have come here… to this forsaken labyrinth… or this corrupt city… you were better off where you were…. But don't worry. I WILL get you out of here."

if it's the LAST thing I do.

Delilah was politely giving the sisters a moment of reunion, but as Haleigh looked over at her, Delilah smiled, and Haleigh exhaled with relief, knowing that Delilah, and Mike, probably had a hand in keeping her sister alive this long.

Delilah: "Good to see you again, Commander."

[reaching out a hand to Delilah, still hugging Ava] "Well, I didn't think I wanted you to attempt a rescue, Delilah, but I can't lie… I'm glad you found us. You and Mike and your… new army."

Cameron King walked by carrying a woman that Haleigh recognized to be Ava's friend, Alison and she manifested a table for him to set her down on.

[to reassure Cameron] "Her vitals are stable, she's not injured, just exhausted."

Karen tended to her, and Haleigh went back to mentally preparing herself for the lengths she might have to go to in order to keep Ava from harm tonight. And, she still had her side of the deal with Karen to fulfill. There were a lot of people to keep safe and alive… but there were also a lot of people on hand to help. Haleigh couldn't think of two BETTER people to assist than Delilah and Mike. She trusted them without reservation. Maybe she'd even get lucky… maybe some of the others would find their FIGHT instinct and be worth more than just pretty wit. They'd stayed alive on the way DOWN here, hadn't they? That couldn't be an accident. Still… most of them looked spooked and wildly out of place, as if they were doing good just to survive and keep their sanity intact. Haleigh sighed, realizing that she was about to find out, for better or worse. She hugged her sister a little tighter. Nicolas broke into her reverie with a mental nudge, and she stiffened slightly at the strange sensation.

Nicolas: "We have to go Haleigh…"

"Ah, yes. [sighing] Alright now Ava, it's time to let go of me."

She coaxed, gently pulling out of Ava's hold. Karen was still helping Alison. Haleigh went ahead and finished the sequence of commands to stabilize the Aqua Ring and return the displaced water to its rightful holding tanks, taking her time to make sure it was done correctly, and to allow Alison a little bit more time to recharge. Haleigh kept occasionally tossing a glance at Ava, making sure there wasn't a leech or zombie about to attack her. Paranoia, perhaps, but in this place… one had to be maintain constant vigilance!

<< after becoming less stand offish with Nicolas, Morgan and Blaze looked on, smiling JUST a bit as Ava and Haleigh were reunited and Alison's status was just confirmed as extreme exhaustion rather than something more life threatening. her magick had helped, now karen, a doctor would do the rest.>>

<< here was the part that Morgan dreaded. What happened now that she had her mother? as shamefull as it was [and lucky for her no one but her mother and sister could read it from her thoughts] she HAD the initial flash to just teleport herself, her mother and sister away from here away from anything to DO WITH ANY OF THIS!>>

<< her need to survive was matched only by her need to escape! but her best friend Delilah, her colleague and friend Ava...how could she abandon them...ANY of them. They had all trusted each other this far...it would be terrible to betray that trust now. She was unaware of the deal between Karen and Haleigh about their safe passage out of raccoon city and expunging of all files concerning them.>>

<< as Cameron seemed to be growing more agitated, Morgan was fussing over Blaze. it WAS time to leave this place, and with Alison's situation improving thanks to Karen's hel but Morgan was getting TIRED of Cameron's demanding ways, SHE was supposed to be the diva and even SHE was holding herself in check due to the dire nature of things.>>

And where are we going, Cameron? into the deep blue sea out there? Or hadnt you noticed those THINGS!

<< pointing to the omni directional window , the water beyond it and the NEPTUNES there in.>>

<< Delilah spoke to Haleigh. Haleigh seemed to be experienced with more than police work, and judging by the way Delilah and Mike regarded her, she must have been something impressive but Morgan was still having a hard time trusting OTHERS with her well being. She and Blaze...they spent so much time protecting each other and keeping OTHERS out. Cameron and Mike were wearing on Morgan's nerves...maybe NOW with Haleigh present...they'd back off.>>

<< Karen placed Alison's hand on her abdomen after administering the green herb.>>

Give the child a few moments. She will awaken and be good as new.

<< there was a sound of metal groaning...and the control room structure shifted a bit. NOT a good sign.>>

The structure is under such pressure and probably erroded from the water!

I have to restore containment and i'm the only one here with the access code.

<< Haleigh had done her best to prep the system, manipulating what she could but Karen would have to enter the emergency command code and pull the lever!>>

Morgan: Where are you going?

<< Karen turned and looked at her daughter.>>

its just down the hall here...the the pod with the emergency command panel and lever!

<< Morgan & Blaze immediately followed. As Karen used her key card to open the door, they were greeted by a TERRIBLE shock as Karen was IMMEDIATELY accosted by not a ZOMBIE but a Crimson Head! the evolved form of the zombie! a leaner creature who is FAST, STRONG, AGILE and has clawed hands & feet, along with a red hue to its skin due to the blood. blood dripping from its mouth and snapping jaws!>>

<< Karen screams with shock and Morgan and Blaze SCRAMBLE to get into the room as crimson head is PULLING Karen in away from her daughters...was jarring. as Morgan and Blaze burst in, Karen FREED herself almost immediately before she could be bitten as she disappeared and reappeared elsewhere with the sound of chimes. the zombie comes CHARING for the sisters! >>

Morgan: BASTARD!

<< Morgan pulls her fist back, its encased in a halo of magick as she PUNCHES the zombie dead in its head with her super strength, breaking its jaw and sending it slaming into the wall.>>

<< Blaze points with her finger and unleashes a spear pointed fire blast that would vaporize METAL and blunt impact...VAPORIZING the zombie and leaving a scorch mark. Haleigh could see that though the women were inexperienced in situations like this, they had MUCH needed fire power to add to this unlikely group as they sought to escape.>>

<< Karen, is shaken but unharmed, her new outfit protected her skin from any unwanted scratches or contact.>>

oh....I'm alright....thank you my daughters! but we...must keep moving! there are more creatures like this lurking! the sooner we escape, the sooner we'll be....we'll be free!

<< was it THAT easy? >>

<< with Morgan watching their mother's back, Karen quickly began to press buttons as she was prompted to enter codes and identify herself.>>

<< she had rehersed this in her head several times. She was shaking but she knew she could do it. FINALLY the moment came where the computer ACCEPTED her identity and code!>>

thank the goddess!

<< she said as she clasped her hands together at her chest. now came the time to pull the lever as she pressed one final button. the lever was resistant but with some effort on Karen's part the level PULLED! red siren lights began to flash and an alarm sounded as everyone could hear the sounds of metal panels shift, pressure changing and such...water began to FLOW BACK and AWAY from the control room and into carefull designed and engineered passages, as it was rerouted and redistributed! most of the creatures were SUCKED in as well, being sent back to the original holding tanks they belonged to and soon, the water level was lowering more and more until they found themselves no longer submerged! the water was now continued with only a flowing RING of water around the circumference of the central aqua ring and they were able to emerge from the control panel to another bridge to walk on!>>

okay!! I've restored containment to the aqua ring!

<< they could hear the echo of water from a distance, as well as the water fall.>>

 

[Delilah Trelaven]

[reaching out a hand to Delilah, still hugging Ava] "Well, I didn't think I wanted you to attempt a rescue, Delilah, but I can't lie… I'm glad you found us. You and Mike and your… new army."

Delilah smiled bigger as she shook Haleigh's hand. She felt re-energized, now that a glimmer of hope had been granted them. But Haleigh's words...something nagged at the back of her mind. Their "new army". She looked at the young man, Nicolas. And Ava, clinging to Haleigh. Alison, unconscious. Cameron, Morgan, Blaze, Karen. How had they all gotten here?

Karen went into the pod to enter the containment code. Delilah exhaled - this was almost over. She was checking over her suit when she heard Karen scream. She rushed down the hallway to see Morgan and Blaze helping Karen, a scorch mark smoking on the floor.

She shook her head. They had gotten too comfortable - that was too close.

"Morgan."

Delilah got next to her friend and pulled her a bit aside. She finally realized what had been bothering her.

"I want you to teleport as many as you can out of here. Take Karen, Alison, Ava, Blaze - and get the hell out of here. You guys aren't soldiers. The rest of us can fight our way out. But you need to get yourselves out of here - now."

 

[Arsenal]

Mike stopped short of Haleigh and allowed Ava past. As she held on to her siser for dear life, Mike got by on tousling her hair a bit and just smiling, then back to business. He knew that being here, even togetehr, was not how you wanted to end up. And so as the new kid made his declaration, Mike concurred.

I second that. Morgan...how many can you transport?

Karen and Morgan went around the corner to work on the water problem as the structure began to grown. The new kid reached out his hands and you could FEEL the structure get more stable. What the hell could he DO?

Telekinesis and telepathy, and some measure of strength I suppose.

What?! HUH!

Mike "heard" a voice in his head speaking, he realized it was the kid just as Karen screamed and Delilah tore off like all hell was behind her. There were no more screams, so Mike assumed all was cool for the moment as he studued this young guy a bit more...

 

[Persephone]

Haleigh: "Of COURSE I'm okay. It's YOU I'm worried about.

"Me? You're the one who's been trapped down here for weeks! I'm just so happy you're alive and well."

Continuing to keep Haleigh in a hug, she knew she would have to let go eventually....but she just got her back. She didn't want to let go just yet.

Nicolas: "We have to go Haleigh…"

Haleigh: Alright now Ava, it's time to let go of me."

"..Sorry."

Reluctantly pulling away from Haleigh, Ava felt like a hundred ton weight was lifted off her shoulders. Eventhough they were still in this death trap, she had her sister. Ava glanced over at Morgan as she began to protest to Cameron's suggestion of getting back into the water. They DID have to get out of the mansion...but what other way was there?

Karen suggested they restore containment before venturing out otherwise the whole facility could topple around them. With Morgan and Blaze in toe, they headed down the hallway and disappeared from view. It was only seconds later that Ava heard Karen screams. With wide eyes, she and the others immediately sprinted down the hallway to see Karen, Morgan, and Blaze were all right.

Seeing Delilah pull Morgan aside, Ava's acute hearing allowed her to overhear their entire conversation.

Delilah: I want you to teleport as many as you can out of here. Take Karen, Alison, Ava, Blaze - and get the hell out of here. You guys aren't soldiers. The rest of us can fight our way out. But you need to get yourselves out of here - now.

Walking over to the two woman, Ava shook her head. Her voice stern with conviction.

"I'm not leaving my sister behind. I came too far and have gone through too much to leave here without her.....[looking over to Delilah now] Sorry...but you're stuck with me for a little bit longer."

 

[Prophet]

Cameron rolled his eyes at Morgan. To him, at this point they were facing imminent death no matter what direction they took, so the location was a moot point. He listened to Karen who wanted to restore containment before escaping and the idea was logically. He watched as Karen and her daughters dissappeared down the hall from his view.

"I just want to get out of here.."

A few moments later he heard Karen screaming. As Ava took off down the hall, Cameron followed suit to see a riled up Karen and her daughters looking as if they had just fought something. He also heard Ava saying that she wasn't going anywhere. Cameron interjected as well.

"I agree with Ava. None of them are going anywhere. I know it sounds logical Delilah but without the efforts of all of us here thus far, we'd all be dead. Like it or not, we're all in this together. Nobody came this far to not see this out. As much as I want to send Alison out of here, she herself would object. And I need her here as much as Blaze, Morgan and Karen need each others, as much as Haleigh and Ava need each other."

His eyes drifted back down towards the hall where Nicholas, Mike and Alison were. His thoughts were still with Alison's words that they weren't safe. He digressed.

:: sighing :: "Look, let's not make this an argument. We're all staying. I'm assuming containment has been restored? If so, we need a game plan."

:: everyone had moved to the smaller pod where Karen had restored containment to the aqua ring. the reunion was bitter sweet as the sense of urgency was still there and cameron was definately agitated. Alison quietly closed in on them, listening as they spoke.::

Haleigh...good to see you again. :: Haleigh knew that Alison was Ava's closest friend and an unapologetic jet setter:: Don't blame Ava...I was the one who validated her concern about you when I had visions about your ordeal, and Raccoon City. I told her that if she was going, I was coming with her. It was obvious the authorities of this...dead end town were not giong to do anything.

We contacted my brother, who put us in touch with another of Ava's friends and fellow models, Morgan and her sister Blaze who had also endured a nightmare at the hands of mystech and through Morgan, we found Delilah, Morgan's best friend and your colleague and Mike another of your colleague and trusted friend. It all happened just the way it was supposed to. without everyone in this room...this moment wouldnt be possible.

Dr. Victoria, I'm Alison Marble. I know you know everyone else here...but we've never met before now. I'm a witch too.

:: taking a moment to be gracious, unlike her brother . Alison also used this moment to take note of everyone in the room. They had achieved the first part of their goal, the RESCUE. Now came the time for escape.::

Doctor, now that we have you all, we need to escape. I saw that Haleigh was leading the way...i think we should resume with that. the Doctor knows this place better than any of us and she already has a way out in mind. Let's go...and let's HOPE we can live to tell this tale.

:: Nicolas was not aware of all Alison's abilities. He found he could not access her or Morgan's minds either...though through Cameron's sibling empathy with Alison, Nicolas could hear the FAINTEST echo of her whenever she "spoke" to Cameron.::

Nicolas relaxed as the aqua ring receded and the structural integrity of their compartment was restored. He took a moment to regard the rest of this group that had arrived.

There was Karen's daughters, another woman who had distressed vitals that were recovering at an unnatural rate, the telepath, and another woman, obviously Haleighs's sister...very beautiful in her own right and quite emotionally stirred by the man who accompanied them, a HUMAN who had the skillsto hang with this cowd. Impressive.

As he thought, the woman who had recovered by no natural means addressed him.

:: Alison gestures al'a Prue Halliwell. A rushing, chiming sound is heard as the doorway is SEALED , blocking Nicoals' path.::

Stay where you are, Nicolas. You dont have the power to face what you so desperately want to find.

What i SEE....what we HEAR...is ...no longer human and we no longer have the TIME to spare. The city will be STERILIZED in less than 2 hours. We must go! Haleigh, lead on, help Karen to navigate us. THe kitten will be brought along safely and with everyone accounted for... we can move.

 

[Delilah Trelaven]

Delilah watched, eyes narrowed to slits, as Ava and then Cameron DECIDED for EVERYONE what was going to happen. Of all the selfish acts she had seen…this was the most heinous. Not only condemning themselves, but the OTHERS who were with them. Karen and BLAZE, who had been through enough… Delilah was fuming internally.

She leaned into Morgan and whispered (not caring who heard though, really), “At the first sign of trouble, take Karen and Blaze and GO.”

Alison asked Nicolas about a mother and brother. Delilah’s ears perked up.

“Are they here, Alison?”

Her eyes met Mike’s.

“Mike and I will go after them and meet you on the surface. Haleigh can lead the rest of you out of here.”
