[Black Widow]

KILL…. CONSUME….

Diana: steady there, girl. i'm buffering you now, but I dont know how FAR Viper will take this. I'll do this as long as I can...but if its too late....then...per our agreement, I'll END IT.

She feels Malice's power descend upon her mind like a force field, grounding Haleigh in coherent thought once more. Haleigh draws in a deep breath, balling her hands into fists. The link between Diana and Haleigh is at least as strong as it was during their earlier procedure, and Haleigh gets a first person experience of Diana's childhood trauma. She not only understands, she FEELS as Diana does, but there's no time to address it right now.

Sharon springs into action and pulls Alycia away, and Haleigh once more feels a sort of MAGNETIC pull beckoning her towards her prey. She tries to stop thinking of Alycia that way, to no avail. Sharon is doing her best to stifle the blood flowing from the wound, but its clear she needs help. Viper and Malice are having a mental battle to win 'control' of Haleigh. Haleigh just stays exactly where she is, almost mesmerized, staring at Alycia with a downright PREDATORY focus.

Sharon: Isis…PLEASE…please help her! She's DYING!...her heart beat is FADING.

[to Ava, who has come over to try and distract Haleigh] "Sharon's right… Alycia is dying."

She could SENSE the life force draining from Alycia as her blood continued to seep from her neck wound. The 'magnetic' force pulling at Haleigh was fading at the same rate as Alycia's pulse. This didn't make it easier; on the contrary, it was like watching her opportunity slip away… it was LIFE that was appetizing, not death. This realization on Haleigh's part provoked some disturbing thought processes. Ava interrupted her:

Ava: Haleigh, look at me! [grabbing Haleigh's face and forcing her to look] Fight this! You can fight this. You're so much stronger than this-- than HER!

[with a pained look] "You don't understand… this isn't about HER anymore… the fight is in ME… and I'm only as strong as the Virus has made me. I'm…. [sounding weakly disgusted with herself] starving. Ravenous."

Ava: I know you want to tear Alycia apart… I do too! But you need to focus on me, not her, okay? Diana is finally getting the upper hand on Viper-- this will all be over soon… just stay focused!

She stared at her sister, unaffected by the pleading optimism. Diana was STRUGGLING against Viper, Haleigh could feel it, like a dull, pulsing headache coming from Malice.

[sadly] "This WILL all be over soon… but I'm afraid it will not end the way you hope. Malice is slipping."

Delilah has sealed Alycia's wound, filling the room with the aroma of seared flesh. Jessica BLASTS Ava away from Haleigh, but Haleigh doesn't have more than a split second to react as Malice gets blasted with her OWN psi power and Haleigh gets overcome by a powerful side effect because of the open link to Diana. Diana screams in pain, and Haleigh does too. She shares the brunt of the blast with Diana for a few seconds, then the link is severed as Diana falls unconscious, leaving Haleigh grasping her head and suffering what feels like a severe ANEURYSM. Her face contorts in pain, and she staggers a bit, almost losing her balance but then… the expression drains from her face and she stands up again.

She slowly looks over at her weakened, downed prey, cradled in the arms of a defender who has more often than not exhibited the attributes of an enemy. Haleigh licks her lips and bares her teeth.

 

[Prophet]

breaking point...

The pressure was reaching it's boiling point. Sharon had scooped Alycia away, and he could sense Diana's trying her BEST to keep Haleigh in control of her own mind, and she couldn't keep it going for much longer, and THAT was when Jessica Marcus played her ace in the hole. Cameron had sensed something odd whenever he had used his psi powers since coming to the island, but he chalked it up to his own fears over Haleigh, The Six's state in general, etc. Everyone has an off day. Little did Prophet know, Jessica had been harnessing. His pupils dilated as his mind was taken into a vision.

:: The panels from around the dome light up positively CHARGED with psychic energy, ready to blast ::

Viper: Like MIND DRAIN...or worse, for someone like YOU who leaves SUCH resonance in your wake... FEEDBACK!

:: The energy swirls around the general area before expanding and KNOCKING into Malice with a STAGGERING force, sending her to her feet. Diana screams. The area turns white. Cameron can't protect the others for longer. He falls to the floor himself. Haleigh is left with Alycia and her virus. The virus takes over, Haleigh snarls and lashes at Alycia and Sharon. ::

Cameron is snapped back to reality a MERE moments before the events take place.

"DIANA! WATCH OUT!"

Prophet has no choice but to leave the mind of Alycia, mentally giving her what would be like a shot of adrenaline to the chest. None of them may be able to protect her from Haleigh in a few moments, and Alycia like many times before might have to save herself. They were failures. Taking the next second, JUST as the blast hits, Cameron SHIELDS Alycia and Sharon in a DOME of psionic energy, the feedback attack from Jessica would only serve to EMPOWER the dome, as BOTH were composed of the same energy, considering that MUCH of it had came from him.

Whiteout.

The blast THROTTLED Cameron as he was thrown back a GREAT distance.

"Push through it... push through it.. for Alycia..for Haleigh..for Delilah..for Sharon...for All of them.. PUSH THROUGH IT..."

Prophet was juggling many hats in the air with now numerous injuries, and INTENSE psychic feedback and mental pain. He was silmultaneously keeping the dome erected, trying to protect Sharon and Alycia from Haleigh, as well as trying to maintain and protect the others from the feedback effect as well. Beads of sweat dripped down his forehead, as his pupils dilated fully, leaving his once bright blue eyes an almost solid black. He REFUSED to let go, he REFUSED to accept what might happen. Alison wouldn't. She would fight to the death and so would he. In a moment of absolute desperation, he called on the one person who could help. The ONE person with a PSI Screen.

"DOMINIQUE!"

A tear streamed down from his face.

"Push through it..keep it together.. No TIME for this..."

"PLEASE! Keep Haleigh AWAY from them, but DON'T kill her! DO NOT KILL HER!!!!"

His mind was darkening, as was his sight. He was using EVERYTHING he had left to use, and he was doing a DAMN good job, considering what he had been through, just how long he could keep the beasts at bay (Jessica and now possibly Haleigh), was a different story altogether.

 

[Isis]

[ Isis, who had been DEEPLY overcome by the fumes of the black lotus blossom, was finally FREE of its immediate effects courtesy of Prophet. She had the fortune of being "less connected" to all of this than the otherrs and thus far, Viper had not focused on her.]

[ The avatar struggled to regain her bearings , still VERY weak from the noxious, paralyzing, power negating fumes of the black lotus blossom.]

[ the others were struggling to recover from Viper's well laid plans and abuse, Malice was front and center, taking Viper at her measure with Black Widow in the balance. Isis was on her feet, still very dizzy. no one but a magick user could understand how AWFUL it was to be held under the thrall of the black lotus blossom. it was MORE than than nature's own answer to the technological power neutralzing collar.]

[ As Silver Swan gets Alycia out of harms way (temporarily) Isis made her way closer to the group of others.]

[ she looked upon them, and for a moment, the same humanity that allowed her to ...at times...soften on Nicolas allowed her to have a sliver of compassion. Sharon held her dying friend and called on Isis to HEAL her to save her from death! Sharon and MorningStar had done their best to immediately seal the wound, which was really what made all the difference in her still being alive NOW but she was covered in blood. ]

Her life force is so weak....[ kneeling down beside Sharon as she looked down on the barely conscious woman. ] but I will do what i can...

[ Isis gently stops and repairs the damage done to her neck and throat by Viper with a spell, but the attack had taken a toll...]

There's something wrong here...Alycia's body...she's sustained other forms of injury that my spell is now reaching, its as though she had been....

Her costume concealed the wounds and the ...behavior modification chip implanted in her.

[ with Delilah, herself and Sharon now around Alycia. The battle between Viper and Malice intensified. Isis looked over her shoulder and turned, standing to her feet]

The White Queen needs my help, I am duty bound to assist her....

[ but She herselfe was still recovering, they ALL were and it all happened so fast! the observatory itself was a weapon in Viper's strategy. She blasts Persephone away from Black Widow and then brings Malice down with her OWN power!]

DIANA! WATCH OUT!"

DIANA!

[ Isis exclaims as she is knocked off her feet and stunned by the WHITE OUT effect from the feedback of Malice's psychic power.]

"DOMINIQUE!"

A tear streamed down from his face.

"Push through it..keep it together.. No TIME for this..."

"PLEASE! Keep Haleigh AWAY from them, but DON'T kill her! DO NOT KILL HER!!!!"

[ and as she sat up, she looked and saw Black Widow....]

[ the horrors that mystech had wrought had disturbed Isis from the moment she became a front row spectator to them, but now....to see someone she KNEW, foe or not, succumb to the VIRUS b efore her very eyes...to know that their life as a human was OVER...it caused Dominique to cover her mouth in dismay.]

[ struggling to her feet, she gestures, QUICKLY weaving a pattern of power to teleport the now comatose Malice to her side. Prophet was barely conscious himself having taken more of a burden than he could possibly handle, but somehow holding on for the moment due to force of will. she quickly looked, counting everyone among them save Sharon and Alycia who had had been seperated from them in the chaos of Malice's tremendous psychic feedback. Dominique was BLISSFULLY unaware of how much pain she AVOIDED due to her psi screen and so she realized that she HAD to do something.]

Viper...where is she!?

[ but that question became rather immaterial as she saw Black Widow zeroing in on Silver Swan and Alycia.]

[ Isis casts a spell of PROTECTION which forms a mystical barrier around Prophet, MorningStar, Persephone and Malice. She then ignites ANOTHER healing spell that takes the form of a MIST that moves about those that are conscious (or even barely conscious) Viper underestimated ISIS...for Isis is the egyptian goddeess of REBIRTH and magick and so it is within her power to CURE some ailments and viruses. MorningStar would soon find relief the fever induced, while Persephone would find her body no longer battered or seizing from Viper's venom blast and Prophet would begin to feel his strength return. It would take some time but between Isis and Silver Swan, they could certainly protect Alycia from Haleigh..couldnt they? ]

What a RUSH! To see that old telepathic hag brought down by her OWN POWER reflected back at her! for all that she "knew", Viper knew just a bit MORE!

laying on her side after being blown off her feet, Viper quickly sits up and brushes some of her jet black hair back and looks rather amused.

Owww! Malice fall down go BOOM!

Malice was down, unconscious and in a COMA! The others were STILL off their feet, barely focused or battle ready. PRophet, who had done his best, was now handing the baton off to ISIS to help the others as he was suffering from the residual psychic feed back.

hmph...two birds one BIG stone...



Silver Swan held a healed but still critical Alycia and was now left to face...

Black Widow! my FAVORITE TOY springs to life! now be a good little bio hazard and deal with them! Meanwhile, I have something ELSE to do!

and that childlike laugh of wicked glee can be heard as the lights shift again and begin to STROBE , adding to the horror of the now ZOMBIEFIED Haleigh lumbering toward Alycia and Sharon.

Viper....where is she!?

as always, witchy, two steps AHEAD OF YOU! BYE NOW!

and with that, Viper leaps up into the air in perfect form and FLIES up to the furthest reaches of the dome area of the observatory, landing on the platform where the large telescopic device was. she takes her place at the control console.

<< Silver Swan and Alycia were OUTSIDE of Isis protective barrier and now all that stood between Black Widow and the Alycia's blood (and the guilt) being on everyone's hands...was Silver Swan. A woman who had recently become bitterly estranged to Haleigh.>>

<< Isis called out to Silver Swan. The avatar herself now having been thrust FIRMLY to the front of this conflict, was now going to have to aid Sharon in protecting Alycia from Haleigh b ut what then? Would Sharon be the one to KILL Haleigh to free her from her damnation just as she had killed her own son? Would she save Alycia and the OTHERS by doing what none of them could truly bring themselves to do?>>

Meanwhile

<< at that frightfull moment, we ZOOM up, HIGH up, to Viper who is GIDDY with excitment. the horror and trauma she has subjected the Six and Sisterhood to was their worst WAKING nightmare, but to Viper it was just a DISTRACTION to keep them busy. Black Widow was nothing more than a PAWN in her ULTIMATE plan as she began to POWER UP the ultimate piece of machinery in the observatory, the telescopic device was raising up, up and out of the large viewing hole of the center of the dome and OUT into the skies above. This device would RELEASE the PROGENITOR VIRUS into the ATMOSPHERE and spark a GLOBAL bio terror event that would DECIMATE the human race, leaving the creatures that would come from this virus under VIPER'S complete control and thus making her in many ways the GODDESS she considered herself to be!>>

<< Destroying the Six and the Sisterhood was merely a STEPPING STONE. They would suffer before she put them out of her misery and the WORLD would be her gigantic bio organic playground!>>

 

[MorningStar]

Delilah could do little more than lay there. The fever and her other wounds, coupled with the feedback they were all (save for Isis) experiencing, had nearly incapacitated her. She heard Malice scream, and knowing its source it was probably the worst sound Delilah had ever heard. Their best chance in saving Haleigh AND Alycia had now fallen.

She heard Cameron pleading with Isis not to kill Haleigh. She tried not to have the thought but it came: there was very little time left to do something before they would have to kill her. Delilah had promised her.

Then Isis was near her, trying to help Alycia. And the revelation that she had been tortured, presumably by Jessica…why hadn’t they known she was in trouble? Why hadn’t they helped? Yet another of them had been savaged while the rest of them did nothing. How many times would this happen?

And then suddenly there was a coolness about her, like a breeze surrounding and permeating her body, as Isis’ healing mist did its work. She could feel again, she was strong again. She stood, tentatively at first and then with more conviction. She nodded to Dominique respectfully.

“Thank you, Isis.”

And as the lights begin to strobe…

“And thank you, Jessica.”

She spreads the fingers of her hands where the hang at her sides, and the strobing lights stop as MorningStar absorbs their power into herself.

Their first priority had to be containing Haleigh and protecting Alycia from her while they could figure out how to reverse the virus’ effects. Delilah turned towards the bloodthirsty Haleigh, and threw her hands forward.

Haleigh would be inundated with a personal light and sound show, blinding light encircling her and sonic waves pounding her. If Delilah could keep her disoriented it would buy them some time. And then they could deal with Viper once and for all.

 

[Silver Swan]

[ Sharon looked VISIBLY distressed...her ANGER was matched only by her ANGUISH. As Delilah crawled over to them, Sharon had the urge to SMACK her away, but she didnt! Now was not the time! Alycia was DYING and for all Sharon's POWER, it was NOT within her power to stop this from happening. Even as she used her strength and armoured hand to apply as much pressure as she safely could to stop Alycia's blood loss, it was not enough. MorningStar then used with little strength SHE had to cauterize ALycia's wound with a touch of her laser! That was a MUCH needed step in at least stabilizing the woman.]

[ Sharon's facial expression softened as she looked at Delilah, then Alycia...but then she heard something, MORE than usual. Malice and Viper's battle it was both physical and mental and she'd heard the signature of Malice's power before, knew Malice's heart beat and other body sounds. VIPER'S were unusual but no less detecable by Sharon but there was something ELSE even above that! It was coming from high above them! but what was it? what did it mean?]

[ and then Prophet and Isis cried out for DIANA! ]

Oh my g.....

[ Sharon did her best to COVER Alycia as Prophet shielded them from the FALLOUT from Malice's power being turned BACK on her! the SCREAM from Diana was unlike anything shse'd EVER heard from the telepath before.]

[ moments later, Sharon's eyes were STILL throbbing from the WHITE OUT effect, but the worst thing had happened, The White Queen was in a COMA and Haleigh was unprotected! Haleigh was....]

Her face contorts in pain, and she staggers a bit, almost losing her balance but then… the expression drains from her face and she stands up again.

She's a ZOMBIE!

[ Sharon EXCLAIMS a she CLUTCHES Alycia tightly in her armoured arms, SEEING that blank y et predatory zombie look in the hybrids now white eyes. It was happening AGAIN. Someone else she knew, was even CLOSE to at some point, now taken over, PERVERTED by Mystech or some off spring of Mystech. It's happening AGAIN. First Kyle, then HERSELF and now Haleigh! Whatever happened in the past 72 hours...it all seemed so small, so DISTANT and meaningless now in the face of THIS! Sharon KNEW that she'd have to do something. For Haleigh's sake, for THEIR sake...but it would most likely end up being the same thing she did for her son Kyle!]

[ Isis steps forward and heals the others and errects a barrier around them, calling out for Silver Swan. Of them all present and conscious, SHARON is the only one with the physical strength to STOP Haleigh in her tracks and the physical constitution to withstand an upclose personal fight witwh this zombie. even Haleigh landed a bite or two, most of Sharon's body was covered by her armour]

Isis, I'll deal with Haleigh. if anything DOES happen to me, you must protect Alycia and get the others out of here.

HERE SHE COMES!


[ and as she turns, Haleigh now coming for them. For ALYCIA! ]

Haleigh NO!

[ she intercepts Haleigh, who is now growling and snarling savagely, teeth bared fully. The mutate grabs Black Widow by her wrists forcing her hands up into the air. Haleigh has the strength of a CRIMSON HEAD at this point, but Sharon can still hold her back, trying to handle this in STEPS.]

HALEIGH

[ she uses her sonic power to change her voice , much like she did with KYLE in the arena of the original arklay mansion to get his attention before he attacked the six.]

YOU CAN'T DO THIS!

[ the struggle is terrifying to behold! Haleigh is IN SHARON'S FACE! There's NO room for error or even one second of hesitation as the mutate struggles against the zombiefied Haleigh! ]

[ Where as Sharon had wanted to KILL Haleigh before...she...she secretly hoped that somehow she might be able to HELP her...SAVE her in a way that she couldnt do for Kyle because in a way, they all had more in common than different. It had always been that way since Sharon returned from the dead, but NOW of all times, it offered some bizarre "COMFORT"..."ENCOURAGEMENT"...."HOPE!?" ]

HALEIGH!!!! I DONT WANT TO HAVE TO....HURT YOU!

[ the STROBING lights made it all the more harrowing and dramatic. but all at once, they STOPPED! MorningStar seemed to be back in the game!]

[ Silver Swan forcibly SHOVES Haleigh AWAY and sends her stumbling back. MorningStar TIMELY assists by assaulting Haleigh with a powerfull light show. it doesnt damage her PHYSICAL body but it POUNDS her senses, especially her SIGHT, motion and equilibrium, keeping her at a distance.]

 

[Persephone]

Her mind was so focused on Haleigh that Ava didn't realize how climatic the situation between Viper and Malice was becoming. Haleigh was sealing her own fate with her words and Ava shook her head passionately.

"No! NO! Stop talking like this is already over. It's FAR FROM OVER!"

And almost as if on cue, Viper sent a powerful venom blast at the goddess, slamming into her like a battering ram. Her body went hurling into the air, flying away from Haleigh and crashing to the ground like a rag doll. She knew a blast like that would have killed anyone of the six aside from Sharon, but due to her own unique physiology, Ava survived the attack...but she was definitely not quick to recover from it.

Laying on her stomach, Ava's eye slowly opened as Viper unleashed Malice's own powers against her.

Prophet: "DIANA! WATCH OUT!"

Isis "DIANA!"

Hearing Malice's screams caused Persephone's already weakened eyes to flinch....she watched as the powerful white queen went flying back and collapsed to the ground in a heap. She didn't move...she was out cold. That was when everything went to hell. Haleigh's eyes slowly began to change. Her once raident electric blue eyes became dull and bloodshot until finally, there were no pupils at all. Her skin was clammy and grey. It happened....she was a zombie. Tears fell from Ava's eyes in a mixture of pain from her injuries and pain from seeing what Haleigh had become. Slowly Ava began to push herself up off the ground. Crying out, she fought through the fire that sweap across her body until she managed to get to her knees. She couldn't move any further....she wanted to--she TRIED to--but she didn't have the strength. It was up to SHARON to keep Haleigh at bay. Sharon, the woman who wanted to kill Haleigh before her zombified state. Ava knew Haleigh was as good as dead.

"Sharon PLEASE!"

Ava cried out, pleading with the hybrid through tears. She knew Sharon had EVERY RIGHT to disregard Ava's feelings after all the horrible things she had said about Alycia. She knew she had no right to even PLEAD to Sharon to not hurt Haleigh....but she had to. She HAD to!

"PLEASE don't hurt her!"

As Sharon engaged Haleigh, the painful fire-like feeling that had overtaken Ava's body slowly began to disappear. Looking over at Isis, the goddess could feel her strength quickly returning and her body restoring. Once the healing was complete, Ava gathered to her feet and ran to where Isis, Delilah, Cameron, and a fallen Alycia were. Delilah had very brilliantly used Viper's strobe lights to her advantage, directing the onslaught at Haleigh enough to daze and confuse her. Sharon quickly used that opportunity to shove her back with brute force, sending Haleigh flying back a few feet. Ava knew this was her chance to restrain her sister!

Thrusting her hands out at Haleigh, INSTANTLY there was a CRASH! Debris from the ground beneath Haleigh came flying upward like a volcano errupting. Two massively large vines--matching that of a redwood tree's trunk--came shooting through the ground, coiling around Black Widow within seconds. Even with Haleigh's newly enhanced crimson head-like strength, she would not be able to break through the vines.

 

[Isis]

[ Isis looked upon Haleigh with dismay and disgust. She couldnt help it...her own natural reaction to the perversions of Mystech were deep seated. From the moment she began to see up close and know the HISTORY of that entity and the connection Malice and Enchantrah shared with it...she didnt like it...didnt approve.]

[ too much of this cast a shadow over the sisterhood AND the six and this situation they were in now prooved that no matter what had happened on the surface, Mystech and any remnant of it would ALWAYS lurk in the shadows, waiting to threaten their lives.]

[ if they survived this, Dominique would certainly voice her displeasure to Diana and Helena. they were nearly DECIMATED at the Hellfire Club. If not for the Six...it could have been much worse. If nothing else, they'd HAVE to be more aware and prepared for "next time".]

[ for NOW though....the immediate threat took the form of a woman named Haleigh Davidoff. She was no longer human anymore. She wasnt even MUTANT anymore. She was a ZOMBIE.]

[ Isis , having promised her nephew that she would at least keep everyone from the six ALIVE, stood guard, poised to protect Alycia and defend herself if necessary. The healing mist was working on those it was meant for a nd soon the barrier would be lowered so they ALL be ready to help themselves or each other.]

[ Haleigh was coming for Alycia, and Isis raises her hands, with glowing halos of magick around them as a warning that she was ready to defend the woman. Silver Swan steps in and halts Haleigh! the struggle is intense, with Sharon facing the zombiefied Haleigh head on!]

[ Isis looks rather CONCERNED as she looks behind her and notices Diana, whom she KEEPS in the protective barrier.]

[ Sharon tries to get Haleigh's "attention" with her sonic power, and Ava pleads with Sharon not to HURT Haleigh as the mutate HOLDS the zombie back from the others. Sharon shows REMARKABLE restraint.]

Silver Swan! Malice told me that if this happened, there was a way to stop her without DAMAGING HER BODY!

[ Silver Swan finally shoves Haleigh away, pushing her FAR back. MorningStar stuns her by overloading her visual sense and equilibrium with a powerfull light show and the ground beneath Isis' boots as Persephone uses her power to FURTHER distance Haleigh from Alycia and the others, IMMOBILIZING her with.]

Now, Silver Swan! [ she points ] Before she breaks free! Use your sonic power to render UNCONSCIOUS! and I'll BIND her with mystic chains!

 

[Viper]

up above

HIGH above, near the top most reaches of the dome, Viper hums a childhood lullaby that her mother used to sing her before Malice killed her. every few moments she seems to jump with glee as she revels in how easy this all came together. she used the six and the sisterhood's own linger fears about mystech, their own internal struggle and psychological weak points to cause their own downfall and they didnt even know the HALF of it! while they were now scrambling to save their precious Haleigh. they may even HAVE a way to save her but they wouldnt be around to enjoy it long enough.

at the control console, Viper activates the machinery, the power is plentiful, in part from the geo thermal vents that the island taps into below the ocean and in part from the residual psychic energy absorbed by the MIND DRAIN panels around the circumference of the dome.

the hum of power and surge of energy now flowing up toward where she is was unmistakable. the telescopic device lifts up and up....out of the viewing hole at the center top of the dome and into the skies above. it slowly turns on its base, now facing the east as the vials of the PROGENITOR VIRUS are now fully loading and ready to be FIRED into the atmosphere of Earth!

Viper's jet black hair flows upward as she smiles with a demonic glint in her apple green eyes.

everything is proceeding EXACTLY as i planned. Those silly fools will think they've "rescued" that bio hazard but soon NONE Of that will matter! Soon, Daddy, things will be the way you always hoped it would! the WORLD be changed...REBORN in your image...well it's MINE now cause you're dead. I will be the GODDESS that I was BORN TO BE! ruling over a new world created by the Progenitor Virus!

locking in the coordinates of where the telescopic device was to begin releasing the virus which could adapt to air, water or any organism it came into contact with, Viper was set to begin!

She looked down, they all seemed so small and insignificant far below where they were, scrambling over Haleigh. She laughed smugly. She was ready to press the final button now.

 

[Black Widow]

Cameron: PLEASE! Keep Haleigh AWAY from them, but DON'T kill her! DO NOT KILL HER!!!!

Ava: Sharon PLEASE! PLEASE don't hurt her!

Sharon: Haleigh NO! HALEIGH…. YOU CAN'T DO THIS!... HALEIGH!!!! I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO…. HURT YOU!

There are pleas for mercy and some interjections of surprise, but none of it registers to Haleigh herself. Even Sharon's sonic shouting doesn't faze her. She continues to struggle against Sharon, her only objective to feed. She snaps and snarls as Sharon attempts to stall her, oblivious to Sharon's appeals for her to stop. She's decides its too much work to fight for Alycia when Sharon is RIGHT THERE in her face, and turns her hungry fixation on Sharon instead. It's a harrowing struggle, as Haleigh searches for an opening-- a chance to bite. Once the virus passes between predator and prey, Sharon will be considerably weakened within minutes.

But Sharon gets a split second advantage and SHOVES Haleigh back, and Delilah is quick to stall Haleigh with a disorienting barrage of lights and sound. Shutting her eyes tightly and covering her ears, Haleigh hisses in annoyance, and then a visible shock wave expels outwards from her body, a classic but devastatingly POWERFUL EMP. With the advance of the T Virus in her body, her powers have grown exponentially as well, but she now lacks the mental capacity to plan ahead, and can only use her abilities instinctively. The EMP spreads with lightning speed, shutting down EVERY device on the ENTIRE ISLAND, including the machine Viper is toying with above their heads, dousing them all in darkness and silence and inadvertently stopping Viper seconds before she can press the button. The only thing that can be seen for now is Haleigh's glowing red eyes. It will take a few minutes before the generators kick back on and everything returns to normal.

The ground explodes in front of Haleigh, and vines wrap around her tightly, binding her and holding her in place.

Isis: Now, Silver Swan! Before she breaks free! Use you sonic power to render her UNCONSCIOUS! And I'll BIND her with mystic chains!

Haleigh sinks her teeth into the vines, and almost immediately they start to decay and weaken. She writhes and snarls and soon the vines begin to loosen and its clear she'll overcome the setback rather quickly.

[ Silver Swan succeeded in holding back the zombiefied Haleigh and pushing her back so as to allow MorningStar and Persephone to disorient and restrain her. The temporary BLACKOUT caused by Black Widow's sudden increase/change in power but with no conscious control over it could proove problematic. the longer Haleigh remained active...the more dangerous she was becoming.]

[ the others implored Sharon NOT to hurt or kill her and surprisingly Sharon, for the MOST part, did not have the desire to do either of those things! NOW would be the perfect, the most justifiable TIME to kill her and if something wasnt done, she would SURELY kill more than a few of them. With Isis protecting a fallen Alycia, this freed Sharon to think clearly and she realized that there was a way to put Haleigh down without killing her. If nothing else, it would prevent anymore sudden outbursts of powre from from the zombie hybrid]

[ as Isis urged Silver Swan to take action before it was too late, Haleigh was already working to free herself from Persephone's binds.]

I HAVE to put her down...for the safety of....[ looking back at everyone present] everyone here.

[ Sharon launches herself into the air and flies up toward Haleigh, who is feversihly working to free herself.]

Haleigh, i know you can't comprehend. It's not like what happened with my son. You'll never know what I've just said now but I'm doing this so that you might have the chance my son didnt and to SPARE you the unbearable guilt of living with the blood of those below you might have killed if you continue in this form.


[ Sharon , now at the level where Haleigh is, hovers in an upright position and holds out her armour covered hands.]

[ as her hair flows behind her, the Silver Swan opens her mouth and unleashes her powerfull SONIC SCREAM. a power that can cripple even Rampage. If unleashed at full power and completely unchecked it is capable of devastating several square miles of land and buildlings, as well as blowing a human body completely apart. but during her time with the amazons, she was trained in the use of her power, refining it, discovering other uses for it including what she does now...]

[ she NARROWS the projection of sonic power and pushes it up to ULTRA sonic levels, beyond the hearing of anyone except Delilah and FAINTLY Ava. the focused projection of sonic waves hit Haleigh and RATTLES her head through her skull and to her brain to the point that she is soon rendered UNCONSCIOUS as her senses are overloaded.]

[ after a few moments, Silver Swan flies over to Haleigh's fallen form and picks her up...by the arms and flies back down to the ground level.
quickly setting her down on the floor.]

Her brain has checked out for now, my ultra sonic beam literally rattled her unconscious from the inside out. Isis, bind her up with your magick so even when she comes to, she wont be able to do anything....

[ she looks at MorningStar and Persephone. KNOWING they just knew she was going to kill her. She would have been well justified to do so, but her actions showed that despite her growing displeasure with being apart of the team, she couldnt do that to a fellow team member whom she had more in common with than they might have remembered up till now.]

[ she looks up and sees the platform where Viper eyes the machine is powering back up!]

<< NEMESIS has returned...AGAIN! the massive creature stands , hulking over them as he has now knocked their physically strongest member for a loop. he roars with such agression as he once again fixates on ISIS, who now has Alycia and Malice under her protection.>>

<< In addition to Isis with only Persephone, MorningStar and Prophet left standing at the moment, Nemesis poses a HUGE problem for them.>>

MEANWHILE

<< spin around the group and then ZOOM UP , FAR up toward the dome of the observatory, where a FUMING Viper has just brought the machine back online after a temporary interuption by the zombie Black Widow's power out put.>>

<< Haleigh's massive EMP swept across nearly ALL of Sheena Island but because Viper had connected the island to several other power sources beside the one it was originally placed on during its initial construction, the island's various facilities and areas that had functions soon resumed working again. still, Haleigh INTERRUPTED HER! and she didnt like that one BIT!>>

 

[MorningStar]

Persephone was crying, pleading with Sharon not to kill Haleigh. But they had seconds to figure out a way to contain her, or it would have to be done. Delilah knew that. She hadn’t forgotten her promise to Black Widow.

Isis: Now, Silver Swan! Before she breaks free! Use you sonic power to render her UNCONSCIOUS! And I'll BIND her with mystic chains!

It all happened so fast that all Delilah could do was pray that Sharon would listen to what Isis has said, for there was no stopping her now. The sonic scream rang in Delilah’s ears, and then Haleigh was thankfully unconscious.

As Sharon returned to them, her eyes locked with Delilah, who nodded, silently recognizing that Sharon had made a choice. One that was probably not what she would have liked, but was done with the rest of the team in mind. Delilah could only respect that – perhaps Silver Swan had not lost her humanity after all.

She's doing something up there. I have to get to up there!

Silver Swan darts after Jessica, but before Delilah could follow her, Sharon was sent flying by Nemesis.

“Oh, DIE already, would you?!”

The Nemesis went for Isis, and by extension, Malice and Alycia.

“Oh no you don’t.”

Throwing her arms out in front of her, she made fists of her hands and unleashed several rounds of photon blasts from them aimed at the hulking creature.

 

[Persephone]

Ava knew Sharon wanted to kill Haleigh. She wanted to kill Haleigh long before today, and this would be the perfect way to do so. No one would blame her, no one would point fingers, no one would question. However as Ava watched through wide eyes as Haleigh literally knawed her way through the thick vines, she knew there was nothing more she could do. This was ALL on Sharon. Ava had plead--begged for her sisters life despite Haleigh's requests to kill her if she became a zombie. Sharon knew the power she held....and much to Ava's disbelief, she actually listened. Sharon unleashed a sonic scream so loud that it broke the sound barrier enough that it wouldn't affect anyone else. She, however, could hear the faintest reminence of the scream, causing her to wince slightly until it was over. Haleigh had been knocked out and Sharon brought her down to Dominique who bound her with mystic chains.

[to Sharon] "...Thank you."

She softly spoke before looking down at her unconscious sister. But this situation was FAR from over. Viper was planning on powering up some sort of devestating devise that would no doubt destory the world. Sharon was about to fly up and knock her away from it when the Nemesis literally KOed her in one swift hit.

Delilah: “Oh, DIE already, would you?!”

Delilah began to unleash a photo blast attack. Extending her hands out with her fingers spread, a mass of lightning came flooding toward the Nemisis with enough power to knock out all of Los Angeles. This would also be helpful to Delilah because of the brightness of the lightning, she would be able to absorb that light and power up her attack even moreso than before.

 

[MorningStar]

She was bolstered by Ava's presence next to her, the two of them working together to protect their teammates. Persephone unleashed a vicious lightning attack, which only fueled MorningStar all the more.

"Thanks for the power boost."

She continued hitting the Nemesis with photon blasts from her right fist, but she extended the fingers of her left hand. Ultrasonic "bullets" flew forth from her fingertips which could liquefy living tissue.

"We need to get up there [where Viper was]. Time to end this bastard, now."

Who knew what Jessica was doing up there, unopposed.

 

[Seer]

Nemesis falls

<< Even as Isis prepared to ignite a powerfull spell against Nemesis, the massive creatured was MORE than a little staggered by MorningStar's photon beams. It roars with annoyance , raising its massive arms and fists up into the air before it is bombarded by a the power of nature, courtesy of Persephone!>>

<< Isis shuts her eyes as the creature is lost for a moment, engulfed by the lightning, powerfull enough to even impress Ororo. >>

<< the observatory is ROCKED but still holds fast and soon, the Nemesis is seen....falling to its knees, smoking from the blast but STILL not down, not yet.>>

<< MorningStar's solid light photon "bullets" pummel the creature, hitting it as it roars before finally its eyes dialate and a bullet hits it in the back of its head and it finally, slowly falls forward with a quaking THUD face down just a few feet from Isis and those she is guarding. >>

<< Isis stands ....TENSE as can be, her hands still lifted in an defensive stance with halos of magick surrounding them.>>

<< only a moment like this could see these two bitter enemy groups come together to ensure each other's survival and in that moment, they just realized how close they came to certain annihilation by the hands of a truly fearsome creature...a reminder of the power, the obscenity that resulted from Mystech's arrogant playing with LIFE itself.>>

<< it was almost as if the fall of Nemesis represented the closing of a chaper from all of their past, but was it that easy? was it REALLY down for good?>>

<< there wouldnt be much time to know for even as that was dealt with, the true, FINAL threat was yet to be addressed, from high above their heads.>>

 

[Viper]

the moment of truth

Jessica was quite pleased with herself. Almost like the child who was an overachiever in class. But then a series of small but ANNOYING mishaps occurr. It appeared she out did herself with catalyzing the virus within Haleigh to full effect, as the hybrid's powers sparked a massive EMP that affected the ENTIRE ISLAND'S power system. Fortunately though, there was a back up, courtesy of the geothermal currents beneath the sea bed that the island tapped into as well, allowing the power to come back online minutes later.

DRAT! that stupid hybrid zombie!

she huffs with annoyance, but then smiles as NEMESIS crashes the party.

FINALLY, my toy is working again!

she exclaims with glee as the telescopic device comes back online and resumes its original position having rose up and now lifted out of the viewing hole in the dome of the observatory.

LIGHTNING crashes down, a POWERFUL, UNNATURAL blast of raw power, courtesy of Persephone as she and MorningStar save Isis and the others, putting down Nemesis.

MorningStar, Prophet and Persephone were the only ones left. Isis had to stand guard over the fallen Malice and Alycia and Silver Swan was KO'ed from the massive punch by Nemesis. Even if they could get up to the platform, there was nothing they could do NOW....

ZOOMING in on the control console of the device, we see Viper's finely manicured, green color painted nail press the big red button and ACTIVATE the device which will RELEASE the progenitor virus into the air, the ATMOSPHERE where it will become able to mutate to suit any envrionment and cause MASSIVE infection on a global scale.

 

[MorningStar]

Satisfied that the Nemesis was down (at least for now), MorningStar looked upwards towards a cackling (to herself) Viper. Moving at the speed of light, she rashly moved herself up onto the platform.

Jessica stood in front of a control panel, its screen indicating that the Progenitor Virus was being released into the atmosphere.

"Fuck YOU, you dumb bimbo."

MorningStar raises one hand, pelting Viper with intense visible light, which would temporarily blind her. With the other hand, she sent a small photon blast at the platform beneath Jessica's feet, taking the floor out from under her. She would have precious seconds before Jessica recovered to access the control panel herself and try and stop the disaster.

The joy...the GLEE of success! Oh Daddy would be so PROUD!

but then....from her peripheral senses, someone from down there has made it all the way up where SHE is! What NOW? who ELSE could try to rain on her parade!?

launching up into the air just as MorningStar unleashes her light. There's that flash...painfull strobe and then darkness. Due to Viper's command of the virus within her own body and the powers she has gained, what she may lose in temporary blindness she gains in OTHER senses. She shuts her eyes as she tucks and curls through the air before expanding, coming down and SLAMMING her high heeled boot into MorningStar's jaw before landing crouched down and sweeping Morningstar off her feet with a sweep kick.

The photon blast causes a portion of the platform to come CRASHING DOWN toward Prophet, Persephone and the others.

mocking Delilah with deliberately "handicapped" sound in her voice.

I am as beyond you as the human is beyond the amoeba. I am the PERFECT physical specimen! I am EVERYTHING my father hoped for and I will be MORE than that!

and with that...Viper KICKS Delilah OFF of the platform, theoretically sending her falling to her death.

there's NOTHING you can do to stop me now! so take your place BENEATH ME. enjoy your DEATH with the others!

The platform is damaged but the machine is still fully functional...and Viper, while capable of functioning without eye sight for the moment, is now on the OTHER end of the machine.
