out on the street

<< as Nicolas came back closer to the group, Morgan was relieved. He really cared for Sharon and she cared for BOTH of them, this whole situation was unusal and with Alison being so secretive, it made for more anxious feeling on Morgan's part.>>

<< they couldnt see Silver Swan's first strike or who it actually was until he came crashing through the doors out onto the sidewalk with such force. Morgan gasped as the man hurled out and even then she STILL didnt IMMEDIATELY recognize it to be Connor.>>

<< BIRDS began to attack him en masse...and she looked at Alison with concern.>>

ALISON? are you SURE we're just supposed to STAND HERE?

<< when Alison dropped the bomb, Morgan was astonished...>>

WHAT!?

<< she bellowed as she looked back and saw Delilah coming out, trying to stop the birds.>>

Delilah...get away before you get hurt!

<< Alison pulled Delilah toward them while Ava called up a cloud burst and high winds....Alison advised her to get them out of there and to LEAVE Sharon behind....>>

But Alison....

<< Alison told her it was SUPPOSED to be this way...and Morgan looked back one last time...>>

<<sigh>> .....youve never mislead or misdirected before....

<< and with that, she summons a disc, hoping that Haleigh gets Nicolas' message and high tails it to illustra. she TELEPORTS them all, including Delilah away...leaving Silver Swan behind to deal with Connor.>>

Nicolas heard Alison's instructions. he hated to leave, but he knew that Sharon could take care of herself. Nicolas disabled several other cameras he "found" and the GPS of a nearby BMW and sent a message to Haleigh.

Hales, Alison is calling for a regroup. Jack the white Beamer on the corner near the hydrant and hightail it back to Illustra. The GPS is already disabled. Conner and Sharon are SUPPOSED to do this dance.

Nicolas looked grimly at the scene as they left. As a parting shot, he grunted, sending a confusing roar of messages to everyone nearby, urging them to depart from that place.

Haleigh is preparing to stand up from the table when she senses the Silver Swan's Mystech engineered biological signature approaching, FAST. Why wasn't she halfway to Arklay by now? Nicolas' voice sounded off in Haleigh's mind. The attacker was HERE?! Haleigh was SURE she and Delilah had not been followed into the diner.... she would have spotted a tail a MILE away.... but who could it be? Nobody was acting strangely.... as Haleigh tried to identify the culprit, Sharon swooped into the diner and was instantly RIPPING Connor from the booth. People were trying to take pictures with their camera phones.... Haleigh fried them quickly as Sharon tossed Connor THROUGH the glass front doors. Haleigh suddenly felt dense and sheepish. OF COURSE it was Connor.... why hadn't it dawned on her sooner? The signs fell into place.... he'd freshly showered but still smelled of sweat.... he sat down deliberately.... GINGERLY as if injured... and he protested TOO strongly against Arklay.... Delilah followed the fight outside quickly, Haleigh looked around at the wake that was the diner. She slowly, calmly stood up, sighing. A young girl nearby had fallen back over a chair and still laid there, stunned. Her mom was too shocked to move. Haleigh crouched down next to her.

"Are you alright? [helping the girl up after she nods] I'm sorry you had to see that. It looks like the Silver Swan was very angry with that man.... but I think it's important for you to know that just because you're angry with someone does not make it okay to slam them on a table and smash them through glass doors. A wise girl would find a way to solve her problems without violence, you understand? Ideally, they should have tried to talk it out first."

Haleigh nodded and smiled, then stood up and patted the girl gently on the head. A waiter was slowly crawling out from under a table. Haleigh looked at the doors.... the glass had shattered out onto the side walk and one of the doors just suddenly creaked and FELL OFF ITS HINGES as a slight breeze blew and fog thickened outside. Haleigh turned to the waiter and shrugged.

"Wow.... I had NO IDEA that was going to happen..... I feel somehow responsible for the damages.... here [passing him a couple hundred dollar bills] that ought to cover it. [turning to leave, but then pausing and looking back at him again] The sweet tea is very good here."

She complimented, and then stepped out into the fog.... she passed through the initial layer to where Sharon, Connor, and a shit load of birds where. Connor was still on the ground.... Haleigh looked down at him..... then put her hands in her pockets nonchalantly.

"You know Connor.... I considered helping you just now.... but then I remembered that I'm only 'a hero in MY OWN MIND'.... so I guess that means I'm off the hook for actually having to save anyone in real life."

She was calmly standing next to an irate Sharon, and she turned to look over at her as if they were just standing there together watching a parade.

"Wow... you kind of stole my thunder there.... you have NO IDEA how badly I would have liked to do something like this five minutes ago. Nevertheless.... I feel like I should apologize for not realizing sooner that he was the one responsible for.... what happened earlier. Anyways... Happy Hunting!"

She said cheerily, as the vroom of the aforementioned BMW announced its arrival. Haleigh opened the passenger door and slid into the seat before it sped off from the scene.

Thanks Nic.... but you can turn the GPS back on in about ten minutes.... I'll return the beamer to its parking spot.... the owner probably won't even realize it's gone. Hey.... make sure you guys keep a handle on Delilah.... she's going to be very upset..... she hasn't been herself today.... there's no telling what she might do. I'll be there shortly.

:: Before Ava had time to process what was going on, Sharon attacked Conner. Widdening her eyes, Alison stopped everyone from interfering, telling them that this was meant to happen. So instead, Ava created a mass of thick fog and cold air as instructed. Within a 6 block radius, everything would be white and rather chilly compared to the beautiful clear skys and warm temperature that New York was really expeirencing. ::

"Well...I guess we should leave them at it."

:: What else was there to say? Sharon was SUPPOSED to fight Conner, via Alison's precog. Delilah was already freaking out, but the obvious 'kink' in the group that Alison had told her about earlier was Delilah. Her sudden emotional attatchment to this Conner St. John was clouding her judgement. Backing away with the rest of the team, Morgan finally whisked them away via stepping disc, back to Illustra. ::

[ Delilah was trying to make sense of what was going on while trying to protect Connor from Sharon’s rampage. But then she found herself sliding over the ground away from him. What the hell?! She tried struggling but the force was overpowering. ]

“What is going on?! Who’s doing this?!”

[ Then it became clear to her. ]

“Alison! What are you doing, LET ME GO! We can’t just leave him there!”

[ Why was Alison forcing her to abandon Connor to Sharon? Surely he would be killed. What possible reason would Alison want Connor murdered?!

Suddenly, and before she could protest further, she found herself teleported to Illustra. When she realized what had happened, she marched up to Morgan. ]

“Send me back! We can’t just leave Sharon to her own devices, to murder anyone she sees fit to! He’ll die if we don’t stop her. SEND. ME. BACK!”

With Delilah and - more importantly in this instance – her shield now gone, Connor had to fend for himself against Sharon. Not a very promising prospect, to be sure, as the birds now had free reign on him.

He pulled an incendiary grenade from his vest, and pulled the D pin. He set it on the ground at his feet, waited a few seconds, then leapt to his feet and sprinted away, hoping the birds wouldn’t react quick enough to avoid the big bang.

He pulled his sidearm as he ran, pivoted towards Sharon, and squeezed off a spray of bullets before diving for cover behind a parked car.

As they arrived back at Illustra, Nicolas nodded as Haleigh announced her departure and returned the wiring to the appropriate spots in the GPS. He understood exactly what Haleigh was saying, and he couldn't understand her devotion to this guys she had not known long, as far as thye could tell. He stood stoic as Delilah marched up to Morgan and demanded to be sent back, that Sharon needed to be STOPPED. Wrong choice of words for him at this point. He responded harshly, his voice even and low.

Send you back? Why? So YOU can "stop" her? Exactly how? Do you plan to finish what your boyfriend started earlier? HE TRIED TO KILL HER, Delilah. THAT'S why she was there. Alison SAID he would survive. That is frankly more than he deserves.

Nicolas had stepped forward at this point to counter Delilah's approach of Morgan, arms folded across his chest.

:: Arriving back at Illustra, Delilah began to yell at Morgan to send her back to help Conner. Watching as Nicolas stepped in front of her with his arms crossed, Ava gave him a 'calm down' look. ::

"Easy, Rambo. [looking to Delilah now] Delilah, I understand that you're in some way emotionally attached to St. James, but he attacked Sharon. What excuse could he possibly have for that? NO ONE knew about Sharon being ALIVE, let alone turning into Silver Swan. Obviously this man has connections and secrets that you're not aware of. You're a level headed woman, Delilah...try to think about this logically."

back at Illustra- War Room

<<it PAINED Morgan to see Delilah so upset. Her best friend marched up to her and the two women were eye level. Morgan's icy violet eyes didnt waver as her friend demanded to be sent back.>>

I'm very sorry Delilah...but I must not.

I am advised by Harbinger that Connor is the one responsible for trying to MURDER Sharon in her own house! If it were anyone else...he wouldve suffered FAR WORSE in retaliation by US...but we didnt KNOW who it was until Alison revealed it at the last possible moment and advised US not to interfere.

I trust Alison's judgement...and I accepted her advice and acted accordingly.

<< Delilah yelled at her and had it been a MAN or anyone ELSE outside the six or their allies, Morgan wouldve yelled back or WORSE...but this was her best friend. She stood her ground even as Nicolas stepped up to halt Delilah's advance.>>

It's allright, Nicolas...she's upset...

<< Ava then spoke...and Morgan nodded solemnly.>>

Ava is right...this all looks very bad. Alison appeared before us telling us that there was trouble coming...someone or something that would expose ALL of us. if he knew about Sharon, enough to know that she's ALIVE and where to FIND HER and that She and Silver Swan are one in the same, then there's no telling WHAT ELSE he knows and knowledge is POWER. He nearly killed Sharon...who, as the Silver Swan, is quite powerfull...that's NO SMALL FEAT for a human. He may have knowledge and information to rival Alycia on US. We can TRUST HER...we dont even KNOW him and ALREADY he's struck at one of our own.

I know that you're seeing him...and up till now, I had nothing to say about it. but NOW...there's a conflict of interest going on it seems.

<< Morgan paused...still having not heard the details of the meeting between haleigh, delilah and connor....NOR had alison and ava communicated their concerns about Delilah's wavering behavior. it was a delicate position for Morgan to be in. She couldnt accuse Delilah of anything, nor did she want to, but could she really interfere in Delilah's PERSONAL life like this?>>

back outside near the restaurant

[ Silver Swan stood posted as the birds continued their frenzied assault on Bishop.]

be carefull my pets...he is a nasty man with many tricks!

[ she looked surprised when MorningStar's forcefield began to push and seperate the birds and as she snapped her glare toward the woman, Harbinger pulls her away. curiously a fog and storm clouds roll in...it was all happening so fast! The others were gone and She turned back to Bishop.]

YOU won't escape this time!

[ Haleigh came, looking rather calm all things considered as she addressed Silver Swan. Sharon looked at her and wondered for a moment...]

does she understand?

[ maybe the DID have more common ground than the others gave them credit for. Haleigh quickly left and Connor was rebounding as well as a BOMB detonated and caught many of the birds in its fire....Sharon staggers with pain from the deaths of the birds. her own two babies were not in harm's way though.]

[ as she seethes with anger, Bishop is retreating fast, firing at her with a weapon and taking a car. several bullets bounce off her armour , a few more miss their mark but none hit her exposed areas....and as he retreats, Sharon cries out like a bird of prey and takes to the air. with her gryfalcons flanking her.]

YOU WONT GET AWAY! I'LL KILL YOU!

[ chasing him in the air and FORCING him to keep moving, Sharon unleashes a volley of spinning stars that slam into the car's body from the back to the top. some slicing through the back windshield. she closes in on the car and unleashes her sonic scream to blast the car, knocking it off course enough to slam it into a light pole and cause the light pole to fall down ONTO the car.]

[ Landing...Silver Swan stares at the wrecked car...]

hurt ME will you? try to kill ME will you? I'll SHOW YOU!

[ preparing to destroy the car with Connor inside it...Sharon pauses...as she sees several bystanders scrambling away...including parents and a little boy. the mother is a blonde, the boy is about 6 years old...they look so TERRIFIED...and as they hurry away...she see's the boy...and thinks of her own son.]

Kyle.....

images of his own terrified face, tear streaked cheeks and cries come to her mind ...that night in Arklay. she remembers...and suddenly Bishop isnt so important anymore. She wants to go to her son. It doesnt MATTER what's happened...she HAS to go...SEE for herself! she has POWER now, she can protect herself.

[ she stands there...staring blankly for a moment before completely losing interest in Bishop and in a rush of wind, she takes to the air and streaks away...with her gryfalcons in tow, leaving chaos in her wake and leaving Bishop worse for the wear..but not dead. She has OTHER things to attend to now.]

Illustra- War room

:: Alison stood, looking rather grim as Delilah yelled at Morgan and Morgan stood by Alison's suggestions. Nicolas and Ava backed the action as well. But ultimately Delilah would blame Alison, since Alison DELIBERATELY withheld information and used her foresight to allow certain events to take place....namely endangering the life of Connor. But not only was it NECESSARY, it was what Alison felt was the RIGHT thing to do. SHE takes care of her own.::

If you want to yell at anyone, you can yell at me. I am the one who advised Morgan not to take action, not to stop the Silver Swan as she closed in on Connor. I saw clearly that HE was the one who attacked...tried to MURDER Sharon in her own home. and the lengths to which he went, not only endangered her but OTHERS in the area and risked exposure.

Connor St. James is a danger to you...to US. Does he even KNOW you're a mutant, Delilah?

:: Alison spoke in such a tone that indicated she KNEW he didnt know but she wanted to trip Delilah up at the BEGINNING of this argument.::

He attacked one of OUR OWN. and would not hesitate to do so AGAIN against any known mutant, metahuman. Whose side are you ON anyway?

:: hinting to her odd behavior as of late, not to mention at the meeting with Haleigh and Connor, which she figured either Delilah or Haleigh would elaborate on. she knew that Delilah was the one in the midst of turmoil. the fog surrounded HER in the visions, now it was time to engage her.::

And why are you so quick to protect a man who HATES mutants and metahumans?

:: It was harsh, but Alison could be that way...especially when her friends lives at stake. she didnt reveal her own link to him...that she had [at the time] unknowingly murdered the man responsible for the death of his family..Victor Klein, the father of Jasmine Klein aka Frost, during the original "Cell" caper.::

everyone in this room is "mutant scum"...according to him, INCLUDING YOU.

:: Silver Swan had abandonned her strike against Connor...and had left the scene. The man, although shaken and injured, would survive, posessing an uncanny ability to sustain more damage than most humans but Alison was satisfied that Sharon had the chance to STRIKE BACK at him for what he'd done. This still did not completely address the problem of threat of exposure....especially considering that He WOULD find out that Delilah was a mutant AND directly involved with The Six.::

Alison said:
Does he even KNOW you're a mutant, Delilah?

"I believe that he knows we are ALL mutants. If he didn't before.... he certainly suspects it now. What concerns me even MORE than him being aware.... is that he's shown contempt. I know my social skills are..... limited.... but I never gave him ANY reason to be rude, obnoxious, or disrespectful-- and THAT'S just how he was with ME. He was downright condescending to Delilah... as if she had to ANSWER to him or some nonsense."

Haleigh stepped forward, and stood with her hands on her hips, her disdain for Connor quite evident. She wasn't interested in the argument between Delilah and the rest about saving him from Sharon.... She was ready to move forward.

"I expected him to reject the idea initially.... but I think he knows a LOT more than he's letting on. He played dumb about knowing of me but if he IS who Delilah says he is then there's NO reason he wouldn't be well aware of who I am. He was adamantly against going back with us but after some pushing he finally relented. If the place was as dangerous as he alleged.... then he'd be absolutely stupid to return. I believe he's been BACK there recently.... Morgan, you remember that extra person in the woods with us at Arklay? I think it was St. James.... and I think he was ALSO in another part of the mansion when Alycia and I were in there. There was some unexplained distant noises... but he must have left quickly... before all of us went back in after Alycia. [pausing] If my suspicions are right.... and he's targeted Sharon... we might also be on his list.... and so will Alycia. I'm guessing he went after her because he wants to eliminate those who know about the place. By going BACK there.... we're threatening to uncover everything that went on.... that would definitely chap his ass."

[ Nicolas shouted at her. She didn’t appreciate it. She turned her head briefly to him and then back to Morgan. ]

“Stay out of this.”

[ Ava gave her two cents, then Morgan, then Alison and finally Haleigh. All ganging up on her. Typical. After a long stare right into Morgan’s eyes, she turned to the crowd. ]

“Why would he attack Sharon – that makes no sense. He saved her life all those years ago, why would he want to kill her now? He’s not a mercenary… AND let us not forget who we’re dealing with here – Sharon is not exactly mentally stable. How do we know he’s really the one who attacked her today?”

[ She looked at Haleigh as she made her condescending remarks about her, but she held her tongue. That wasn’t the important thing right now. ]

“All the more reason to find out what he knows – instead of offering him up to be slaughtered.”

[ She looked to each of them in turn. Searching, pleading, for some glimmer of understanding from any one of them. ]

“Look at yourselves. So easy for you to pass judgement. Since when is it your decision who lives and dies? What you are doing is tantamount to a death sentence for Connor. No matter what he has done, it is not up to us to punish him. If he is the one who attacked Alycia, then the authorities should deal with him, but we can’t play god with people’s lives like this!”

Silver Swan unleashed a volley of attacks on him. Jesus she was a loose cannon – and brutal. The car was being torn apart around him – and some of his body with it. He coughed and spit out blood. Through the broken windshield he saw Sharon coming towards him. He tried to drag himself out of the car. And then Sharon stopped – she had seen something. And then she was gone.

He finally got himself clear of the car. The wound in his leg had reopened and he had a deep gash in his forehead and assorted injuries on his arms and chest. He was pretty sure he had broken a rib or two.

It was clear he was going to need something more if he was going to take this crazy bird out.

Delilah said:
Since when is it your decision who lives and dies?

"Since we became the Six and began putting our OWN LIVES on the line for good of mankind. Since we decided to FIGHT BACK against the people who cause all this PAIN in our lives. Since we decided it was okay to KILL our enemies. How many DEATH SENTENCES have we ALREADY handed down and carried out, Delilah? Oh... better question: HOW MANY HAS CONNOR?? We AREN'T playing God, Delilah. We're LETTING Sharon and Connor deal with their OWN problem. He brought this on himself. What, do you think she'd just ATTACK him for no reason? Do you REALLY think Alison would let an innocent man be victimized?"

Haleigh responds. She understands that Delilah is between a rock and a hard place.... but she is disappointed in the apparent disappearance of the cop's innate objectivity. Delilah was always the one to chastise the group for ignoring the BIG picture.... here, the tables were turned.... and Haleigh was trying her best to get Delilah to see what the REST of them saw.... this man had tried to kill Sharon... completely UNPROVOKED... and he wasn't going to get any sympathy now that the payback bitch had caught up with him.

"No offense, Delilah, but obviously the 'authorities' haven't been able to DEAL with him properly. Effectively, he's a serial murderer. Now I'm alright with turning a blind eye to him when he's killing KILLERS. But Sharon's one of US.... have you forgotten that? She's part of our dysfunctional family unit, and we've got to side with our OWN on this. Protecting OURSELVES has to come first."

:: Watching as Delilah pled her case, Ava's eyes met with hers for a brief moment. This was a unique situation; Delilah was always the level headed one in the group -- being objective when it came to situations like this. So for her to be on recieving end of everything was most certainly difficult to deal with. Ava could see it in her eyes. But the fact remained that Conner tried to kill Sharon, regardless if it was provoked or not. ::

"What, do you think she'd just ATTACK him for no reason? Do you REALLY think Alison would let an innocent man be victimized?"

"Haleigh's right, Delilah. Alison wouldn't stand back and let an innocent be brutalized by Sharon for no reason. She obviously 'see's' something in this man that you don't...You've never doubted her powers before, why start now?"

:: Sighing out, it was obvious Delilah's mind was set on saving Conner, whether or not the rest of the group made valid points or not. ::

"He's manipulating you, Delilah. He knows exactly how to pull your heart-strings so you will fight tooth and nail to defend him and his actions. You need to TRUST us; we're your team--your FAMILY. We wouldn't be standing here, ganging up on you just for sport. We're doing this because we're concerned for your well being and safety. St. James cannot be trusted."

As usual Delilah treated him almost as if he had no stake in this. But this was not his fight to retreat from. For him a part of this was personal.

Delilah NEVER trusted him. He had put his life on the line time and again but for her it never seemed to be enough. It had never been a problem for her to threaten him, for her to distrust him in spite of Morgan's faith in him. In spite of him never giving her a reason.

So when YOU decide that someone is OK, that is supposed to be good enough. Even in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Anyone who has joined this group can attest that trust comes hard, and may never be earned in some instances. But this guy...what's his story? Why are you adamant about HIM? Tell me why he should attack Sharon and live. I saw his face in her mind as she attacked. It was him at the brownstone, no doubt. And Alison has also confirmed this. So why do YOU not believe US? Why should HE get a free pass?

[ Delilah shouldn’t have been surprised at what she was hearing, but she was. Did they HEAR themselves? Acting like gods – holding the lives of others in their hands and choosing who was allowed to live. It was wrong, and Delilah knew it, even if no one else did. ]

"…Protecting OURSELVES has to come first."

“Protecting yourself you mean. You don’t care about anyone BUT yourself. Who cares what’s the right thing to do! You’re Haleigh Davidoff, everyone should bow down before you and do exactly what you want at all times. The rules don’t apply to you. Who cares who gets hurt in the process?”

[ She turned to Nicolas. Nicolas, who thought that because Morgan occasionally looked on him with favor that that meant he had some sort of authority here. Who was so blinded by his hero worship of Sharon that she could do no wrong in his eyes. He was still a scared little boy looking for a mother’s approval. ]

rampage said:
”Why should HE get a free pass?”

[ She shook her head in disbelief. He was accusing her of EXACTLY what he did himself. ]

“He’s a human, Nicolas. This isn’t Malice we’re talking about – there is a mechanism in place for dealing with human wrongdoing. We’re not a judge, we’re not a jury – we’re not above the law!”

[ She pointed a finger at him. ]

“Why should HE get a free pass? Why should YOU get a free pass?!”

[ She dropped her hand and looked to the group, weariness painted across her face. Were these the same people she had spent so many years alongside. Fighting for what was right, saving people, saving the world – or so she had thought. But what had they really done? What about those who had been hurt in the process? Had they been right after all?

But she saw it in their eyes. She saw that Haleigh wasn’t the only one who thought the rules didn’t apply to them. That their powers made them better than everyone else. ]

“I can’t believe you all think it’s perfectly alright to go around killing people – no trial, no explanation, no rights. Who among you is innocent? Who in this room couldn’t be called a murderer? What about Sharon? What about all those innocent lives lost at the cathedral? What about THEIR family and friends?”

[ She felt the tears welling in her eyes. For in that instant, the world she thought she knew had just turned itself upside down. She didn’t feel like she knew the people standing before her at all. They were monsters, each and every one of them in that room.]

“If you want Connor murdered, then you might as well blow up Ilustra with all of us inside, because we’ve ALL killed in the name of justice. Viktor Klein, Stavros, Malice, Helena, the Inferno – how many? It’s okay when we do it, but heaven forbid anyone turn the microscope back on us. Why is everyone else accountable but us? You talk about protecting humans – who is going to protect THEM from US?”

[ She turned and walked to the door, then stopped. She leaned her forehead against the door, hand on the doorknob. She turned back, wiped the tears from her face with her other hand and composed herself. She turned the knob. And she knew what she had to do.

With no emotion in her voice, only the cold, lifeless tone of those who have lost everything they believed in, she spoke one last time. ]

“I can’t be a part of this team anymore.”

[ And with that, she left. ]

"Delilah, stop."

:: Her tone sharp and cold, Ava narrowed her eyes, now annoyed. She understood Delilah's anger toward the group, and the fact that she felt strongly about protecting Conner, but Ava drew the line at her singling out Haleigh and insulting her. Especially after the caper they had just been through where Haleigh had grown leaps and bounds as a person and teammate. Shaking her head, Delilah went onto Nicolas now...keeping her mouth shut, Ava couldn't exactly disagree with Delilah when it came to him. :p It was no secret Nicolas wasn't Ava's favorite person. ANYHOW, at this point, Ava was fed up with Delilah's sudden change of heart about how 'ethical' the team was being. Victor Klein? Malice? Helena? Ava scoffed. ::

"We killed them because they tried to kill us! JUST like Conner tried to do to Sharon! What part of that don't you understand? You spout out this bullshit about Conner taking the law into his own hands and punishing people....explain to me; what EXACTLY did Sharon do that needed punishing in Conners eyes? Answer me that before you stand there and look down your nose at us and everything that WE --and you USED to -- stand for. Yes, Sharon has been off lately. Yes, she hurt people. But she was under MysTech's influence. Funny how you seem to forget that little detail in the middle of your condesending rant. [lowering her tone, Ava inhaled sharply trying to ease her anger] No one here is an angel, Delilah. We've ALL made mistakes. And WE [gesturing to the group] are trying to STOP you from making one now."

:: Delilah turned away and headed to the door causing Ava to cran her tense neck back and roll her eyes shut. Sighing out, Delilah announced she could no longer be apart of the six anymore...opening her eyes, Ava gently shook her head watching her former teammate leave the room. ::

Illustra- War Room

<< Morgan stared into Delilah's eyes too...silently conveying from her own violet eyes a plea for Delilah to please understand and to see CLEARLY...but it appeared that would not happen, as she turned away and attempted to rebutt everything being said. She was acting....like HALEIGH in one of HER impossibly stubborn moments and it shocked Morgan.>>

Delilah! listen to yourself!

You're lashing out at us...we're NOT your enemy..we're your FRIENDS...your FAMILY , just like Ava said...and I would think you'd know me AND Alison better than that of all the people in this room.

You're IGNORING the content of Alison's words..her VISIONS and you're accusing her of playing "God"...that is what HE does. WE not only defend this world...but we have the RIGHT to defend ourselves and Haleigh is right...that MORE than INCLUDES Sharon. She's not just my friend anymore..she's a METAHUMAN. She's at risk more than EVER not only because the world thinks her DEAD but because someone out there BESIDES us knows that She and the Silver Swan are ONE IN THE SAME and has tried to MURDER her.

You know ME, Delilah. Sharon was my friend BEFORE her death and return and if any harmed HER...or YOU..or Alison or ANYONE ELSE in this room, they would have to deal with ME and you wouldnt be so AGAINST it then. WHY NOW, are you so AGAINST Sharon having the RIGHT to defend herself? If Connor was THAT worried about his own safety, he wouldnt have attacked a woman who can juggle cars, telepathically command hoards of birds and shoot spinning stars from her person.

<< rolling her eyes with contempt at the thought of Connor.>>

Again, i trust Harbinger's visions. They've never lead us WRONG before and Connor is to survive Sharon's retaliation...it IS no more than he deserves for going after someone that hasnt done ANYTHING TO HIM...someone who has the power to do HIM a world of harm even WITHOUT our help.

<< Morgan detested Arrogant men and Haleigh's description cemented her assumption that Connor was just that. Morgan cared very much for Delilah, and this whole exchange was escalating...not in a chaotic way like it often did when HALEIGH was the catalyst :D but Delilah's next words were TELLING as she swept across the team with her scathing reminder of their actions, many of which were MURDEROUS>>

you're not being fair at all. you're BLINDLY defending this man who if he knew WHAT YOU were, would most likely regard YOU as lowly as he does these criminals he hunts and KILLS.

<< as Ava pointed something out, Morgan backed it up.>>

the people that WE killed...were people that NO ONE ELSE could CAPTURE...the concept of "bringing THEM to justice" sounds about as logical as going to a gun battle with a KNIFE and further more....we had no choice. our lives, our families , our friends and the WORLD were at stake time and again. Sharon was INSANE...driven by the programming of MysTech...she was supposed to be DEAD...even Ororo had advised against the use of magick to bring her back and THEY brought her back. She could no more help herself for what she'd been TURNED INTO than YOU can for who YOU are...and do you think the bigots...the RABID mutant haters of the world would think twice before coming after you or US if given the chance?

<< the INFERNO.>>

...and if you MUST bring that up...trust me, NO ONE knows better than ME how horrible the Inferno was...it was MY fault...Haleigh isnt even in the same BODY because of me and i have to LIVE with that guilt and SHAME , so just once, will you REMEMBER that you're my friend and not use the TRUTH as a WEAPON against ME or anyone else in this room? it REALLY doesnt become you.
