:: Dawn was slowly approaching. The birds began to chirp and the black skies were turning a beautiful shade of violet and pink. It was a brand new day for the members of The Six, however it was a day that would test the bond of the team. AJ's funeral was that afternoon, making this most difficult for Alexis. But Alison and Morgan would be present which would bring much tension between the two witches and Alexis' aunt, Helena. Anything could happen today, and that's what worried Alexis the most as she sat on her terrace watching the sun rise. She hadn't slept all night. Now in a dark royal blue robe, the blonde rocked back and forth in her rocking chair, hugging herself as the wind danced along her body. Visible goose bumps could be seen on her legs indicating she was a bit chilly. However, she stayed put. ::

"You have no right to grieve AJ!

:: Echoed in her mind. ::

"You're a leech...a parasite! You latch onto people and hold on for dear life until they throw you away like the piece of trash you are!"

:: Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath in. Was she as strong as she thought she was? That she thought she had been? Or was Helena actually right for once. Hell...she was right about a lot of thing. She couldn't hold onto a man. She would of fallen off the wagon if it weren't for both Cameron and Alison. The only reason she had Tempo was because her father gave it to her. Even though the blonde looked tired and emotionless; her mind was racing with thoughts of "what if". She just wanted to get this day over with.... ::

:: Looking down at her watch placed on her wrist, it was now 5:22am. Seven more hours to go.. ::

Illustra- the top floor

<< a blast of thunder heralds the opening of a stepping disc...Morgan comes flying up through the disc with a look of consternation on her face...even as the day is FRESH and just beginning..she is already upset...that HALEIGH DAVIDOFF..a woman who LEAST deserved to be restored from the Inferno is now back...and JUST when she had gotten rid of Cameron as well...both from the team and from the business front>>

<< standing in the large chamber of dreams...Morgan exhaled with extreme agitation...>>

GODDESS! why is SHE ALIVE!? <<thunder cracked within the walls of the building as Morgan fumed with rage, worry and disbelief>> JUST when i was getting my LIFE back!

<< she paced back and forth....before her eyes fell on a picture of herself, Alison and Blaze ...looking so radiant and so happy...the picture was beautiful and a wonderful reminder of times past...but as Morgan slowly picked it up and looked at it...her facial expression settled...she was quiet..and reflective>>

<< in a soft voice>>: Blaze...ill never truly forgive myself for what happened to you...and ill always..ALWAYS love you. I promised Ororo that your death would not be in vain....that i would gain the control of self and soul that SHE has...I will make sure that your .....sacrifice was not.....

<< tears began to well in her icy violet eyes>>....in vain.

<<putting the picture to her bosom...Morgan looked up>>

ORORO! HOW am i going to do this!? Haleigh is...such a WRETCHED CREATURE!!..SHE LIVES..and yet BLAZE IS DEAD!!

<< it was a flash of anger and wave of sorrow...was there NO justice?...Morgan slid down to the floor...still clutching the picture.....>>

Alison....where ARE YOU!?

<< she closed her eyes...and began to shed tears...for her fallen sister...and for the anguish of knowing that HALEIGH was alive... to her it was such a miscarriage of justice on the part of the powers that be....>>

Adrian's Hotel Room, The Parthenon

Adrian, ever the pretentious bastard, had lazily begun to occupy ¾ of the king-sized bed, spreading himself out like fucking jell-o.

“Asshole,” muttered Brad, who clung onto the mattress to steady himself, over half of his body hanging off.

He turned his head, observing the sleeping Adrian.

“A cute asshole,” he corrected.

Brad shrewdly attempted to imagine Adrian suddenly being hit by a comet, but he found himself wanting to bite his ass instead.

“Move – over!” Brad hissed through his teeth, punctuating his words with an emphatic kick against Adrian’s waist.

Oblivious, Adrian extended his limbs out further.

“Shit,” he said, warily eyeing the hand that had surreptitiously crept up Brad’s chest, found his right pectoral, and squeezed very hard on one nipple.

Normally, Brad would be turned on by this clash of pain and pleasure. Right now, however, he wanted to go the fuck to bed.

“C’mon, man!” he said in frustration, attempting to push away Adrian’s very insisting hand.

Adrian swatted away what was left of Brad’s presence on the bed, and he fell with a dull “thunk” on the floor.

Brad growled, pounding his fists against the carpet.

Adrian began snoring.

Damnit.

Alexis' Penthouse - Illustra

:: Standing from her rocking chair, Alexis steadied her weight on the balcony railing as she leaned forward. A soft creaking sound could be heard as the chair continued to rock gently. The wind whistled, and the leaves from her numerous plants rustled, making the moment almost serine. Pressing her pale lips together, the blonde turned away from the now lit New York City, and proceeded to make her way back into her penthouse. ::

:: Gently shutting the french doors behind her, Alexis walked over to her bed and climbed in. It was the first time she had been in her bed all night, and boy did it feel heavenly. Perhaps it was the fact that she was extremely tired, or maybe it was just the feeling of wanting to crawl into a hole and die, but Lex was actually "happy" to lay down in her very comfortable king sized bed. It was around 6:30 in the morning now, and it would be pretty pointless to fall asleep now, so she just laid there. Her eyes bloodshot and puffy from crying, Alexis slowly blinked trying to keep herself awake, but soon, her eyes fell shut and she slowly drifted off to sleep. ::

Adrian's Hotel Room, The Parthenon

Sun spilled from the windows, accompanying the idyllic scene of Adrian's suite, which aside from the perpetuated scent of chocolate and mint, now radiated with the scent of freshly brewed coffee. The source: a filled mug propped on Adrian's night stand and set against an alarm clock that read 11 AM in neon green digits.

Brad had left in the early morning, and Adrian had vaguely heard mutterings about a "sore back" and "unaccomodating bed mates" on his voice mail among other things .. namely that the gala event had been a success, and celebrities were already raving about Adrian's impromptu party.

He now sat in front of a full length mirror, refreshed from a long hot shower and the sure relaxation that came from waking up in the late morning. Fitted along the adonis' figure, the black suit looked expensive. He now fumbled with its tie, adjusting it around his neck as he finally reflected on the past night's events.

Laetitia had served her purpose, and despite the fact he kept her alone for the rest of the event, she had left a hopeful message on his answering machine. Erika King, Cameron's sister, was nothing to dwell on. A simpering girl who'd easily fallen under his manipulations. Cameron King..

Here Adrian laughed. It had been a cock fight between them, and Adrian was more than enthusiastic about repaying him a visit to clarify which one had the proverbially bigger cock (namely, himself).

He went over Cameron King and thought about Alison. Their interaction was.. "different," he found himself saying outloud. Here was a woman who, perhaps, understood him. Even posed a challenge for him. He welcomed another encounter with Alison.

And then there was Alexis. Adrian sighed. That meeting with that woman...

No, a cold voice reminded him firmly. With the tie in place, he threw on his suit coat and stared in the mirror one last time. But it appeared that his mind did not agree with him all that much, because moments later Adrian found himself transported back in time... in a room that smelled of perfume and roses and honeysuckle.

A smaller Adrian Lockhart stood outside of his mother's door. Bane turned his head as he heard the knock. A strong, throaty voice called out, "Come in," and moments later a pimply youth sauntered into her room. An unpleasant scent of dirt, sweat and mold now clashed with his mother's pleasantly aromatic atmosphere. She wrinkled her nose, and Bane now turned to regard her. Chestnut brown hair, beautiful brown eyes...his eyes, Bane noted. The figure of a supermodel, the regality of a self-made multimillionaire. He held his breath. He knew this scene all too well.

"Mommy, mommy, look what I found!" Adrian exclaimed excitedly, running up to her and extending out his hand. Brittany turned and looked disdainfully at the outstretched palm, upon which a particularly large green bug sat. Bane watched, a pained expression on his face, as Brittany, Adrian's mother, smacked the bug out of Adrian's hand and let it fall into a nearby trash can.

"Adrian, what did I tell you about bringing these atrocious insects into the house?!" Brittany hissed as Adrian scrambled to retrieve it. His fumbling hands dug out tampons, tissues and all sorts of cosmetics in his search for that creature. Triumphantly retrieving the bug, Adrian turned to his mother. Still hopeful. Still wishing she'd return his enthusiasm. Or give him something, anything.

Brittany looked at the mess on the floor around him with a half-hopeless, halff-enraged expression. "Adrian, get out. OUT!" she shouted, her supercilious gaze landing on Adrian's acne, on his too-large teeth, his perpetually sunburnt skin. An ugly boy. And how Brittany had prayed for a beautiful daughter! An observant kid, Adrian saw her dejected expression and knew -- it wasn't the bug. It was him. He would never be good enough. And he'd always seen her look at him like that.. but Adrian had hoped..he'd..

The boy abruptly took off, running from the room and his cold mother and the beautiful world that would not accept him.

The memory ended with the slam of the door, and Adrian saw himself once again standing in front of that full-length mirror. He grinned, assuring himself that yes, he was beautiful. Beautiful and powerful. Nothing like that boy. Nothing like Alexis, whose pained look as she had stumbled and fallen infront of him was only too familiar. Too close to home.

Nothing, he'd remind himself, as he put on his suit coat.

Nothing, he'd remind himself, as he grabbed his cellphone, wallet, keys.

Nothing, he'd insist, as he stepped out of the room, and grinned automatically at a passing maid, whose heart skipped a bit.

Maybe something, a small voice would suggest, but Adrian Lockhart ignored it.

Alexis' Penthouse - Illustra

:: It had been a few hours since Alexis had fallen asleep, and now she was up and about, getting ready for AJ's funeral. Walking out of her bedroom and down the hall, her black heals gently clicked on the hardwood surface as she emerged from the darkness and into the light. Her head was tilted to the side indicating that she was fiddling with one of her earrings trying to get into her lobe. Finally shutting the clasp, Alexis took a deep breath in and looked around her apartment--at the new day. ::

:: The blonde looked beautiful...more so then ever before. Dressed in a simple black pencil skirt and burgundy satin stop (outfit, outfit2), Alexis wanted to look appropriate yet "herself". Her brother wouldn't of wanted it any other way. Her blonde chest length locks were straight and down, with her bands swooped to the side. And makeup subtle. ::

:: Placing her black Coach bag down on the island, she made her way to the fridge, opening it and taking out a bottle of Raspberry flavored water. Closing the door, again she made her way back into the livingroom sitting down. It was around 10:30am....a half hour before she had to leave. Opening the bottled water, she took a small swig of it before leaning forward and putting the bottle on her coffee table. Sitting back, her mind was still racing about irrelevant thoughts. Thoughts that normally wouldn't bug Alexis. Were Morgan and Alison going to come pick her up? Was she heading to the airport alone. Was Cameron coming? How long the flight would be. If she would make it in time....::

:: Extending her neck back, she took yet another deep breath in feeling her anxiety level start to rise. Resting her head against the back of the sofa; she needed to calm herself down. ::

Illustra- Alexis' penthouse

<< a blast of thunder with chimes in the background heralds the opening of a stepping disc. Morgan steps foward...wearing a flawlessly tailored black Gucci blazer and black short skirt. the blazer's V neck revealed cleavage which was impossible to tell if it was being supported by a barley there bra or no bra at all. Morgan's eyes were hidden by feminine, rounded Gucci sunglasses. and her blonde, double highlighted hair was pulled back into a sleek glossed bun. on the lapell of her blazer was a small 24 kt gold heart...with a picture inside of it...a picture of Blaze Fielding. Morgan's look was still sexy...as she strode forward on her long flawless legs supported by black four inch high heels...she looked feminine but appropriately subdued for the funeral that she was going to attend....with her eyes hidden from view..it was impossible for alexis to know that Morgan had been crying as well...not only because all of this had reminded her of Blaze...and how RECENT that was, but because Haleigh had gotten a second chance at a life that Morgan felt shouldve been granted to BLAZE more than anythign else. Alexis didnt know that Haleigh had returned...and Morgan hadnt been able to reach Alison, but somehow she knew Alison would be here at the right moment>>

<< her voice was icy..but softer than usual>>: I think...it would be easier for us all, if I just teleport us there. we dont need to deal with the security at the airport....and ill get us there in the blink of an eye...which gives us more time to.........talk.

<< a surprising moment indeed from the woman who looked almost like an intimidating designer female secret service agent...but her demeanor was seemingly tranquil and subdued...she seemed open to talking and listening to Alexis if she had anything to say

Alexis' Penthouse - Illustra

:: Alexis didn't even hear Morgan appear in her apartment until she heard the soft clicking of heals on her hardwood flooring. Opening her unusually dull robin's egg blue eyes, the meta human looked to Morgan, whom was ready to leave for the funeral. Alexis didn't say anything. In fact, she was pretty stunned that Morgan wanted to talk to her....but then again, I guess she shouldn't be. They did, after all, loose their siblings. ::

:: Parting her lips, she took a breath in as she stood from the sofa. Making herself around the leather couch to her kitchen island, she took picked up her purse, immediately placing the strap on her shoulder. Turning to Morgan, Alexis was ready. Ready to see her brother....dead. ::

"Oh god..."

:: The only utterly painful words she could say before she cupped her hand over her eyes. It was apparent to Morgan that Alexis' tough armor that shielded her feelings from others was down. The fact that she was even CRYING in front of Morgan indicated how truly hurt she was. Taking a shaking breath in, she moved her hand from her eyes down to her mouth.....her eyes cast down to the floor, she just seemed to stare at nothing for a few moments, before looking back up at Morgan....::

:: Once again, she was shutting herself down. She needed to take control of her emotions before she completely came unhinged. Lowering her hand from her mouth, she ran both hands through her blonde locks taking a few more needed moments to compose herself. Finally she began to walk to Morgan. ::

"Sounds okay to me."

:: Alexis said softly. Now in front of the woman, she crossed her arms across her chest and awaited to leave. ::

Alexis' penthouse

<< Morgan looked down at Alexis. she could see Alexis' eyes..but Alexis couldnt see hers...there was pain all around her...Morgan felt it...even through her icy hard heart.>>

<< in an icy voice>>: Listen..i know we havent been on the best of terms..ever. but we've been through hell..the both of us... ALL OF US. and i would be lying if i told you that i dont feel bad for you right now. it hasnt even been three weeks since BLAZE....and just when we were putting our lives "back together"...this happens.

i dont think we can afford to pretend anymore Alexis...we need to help each other get through this...and thats going to require you being as real with me as i'm being with you...right now.

<< Morgan stood before Alexis woman to woman>>

we dont need to leave yet. Alison has to get here...and like i said...we have more time.

Illustra- outside of Alexis' penthouse

::a POP is heard...as a pair of cobalt eyes open...in the hallway outside of Alexis' penthouse near the top end of Illustra::

::Alison was now wearing a black, low cut V neck mini dress by Calvin Klien along with a waist length, military inspired designed tie round black jacket...it was a stylish, trendy, yet sexy outfit that revealed Guardian's own well toned, long legs...which were supported by black high heeled four inch pumps::

::her hair, was styled just like it had been for the gala..jet black, bone straight and parted down the middle...resting just above the shoulders in a chic, simple, flawless bomb (see pic from the gala thread)* and as her cobalt blue eyes sparkled...Guardian was now dressed and ready to accompany Morgan and Alexis to the funeral.......she knew Morgan was inside...and that she was aware of Haleigh's return. Only Alexis was out of the loop..and of course Adrian.::

:: Alison decided to wait...and "listen" as Morgan and Alexis talked..as they DID have some extra time. she silently blinked in to the penthouse....only her cobalt blue eyes appearing as she hid behind a large potted plant. silent, still and unnoticed by anyone...::

Alexis' Penthouse - Illustra

:: Listening to Morgan; she was sincere...completely and utterly sincere. Even though she was still rather cold and analytical about her approach, that was just Morgan. Lowering her eyes as she spoke of Blaze, spoke about how they needed to help each other. This was all true. She couldn't do this alone. She needed Morgan's assistance...and as much as Morgan hated to admit it. She needed Alexis. Finally she heard her last words. Being as real to Morgan as she was being to Alexis right at this moment. Lifting her eyes, she stared straight into Morgan's designer frames...the frames in which hid her own pain stricken eyes. ::

"This is as real and hardcore as it comes, Morgan. My entire life is crumbling before me, and.......I don't know what to do. For the first time in my life. I just don't know."

:: Pausing. Alexis stood but only an inch below Morgan's tall frame. The two woman whom used to stand toe to toe fighting against each other....were not teaming WITH each other. ::

"I can't push any of you away because.......because you're all that I have..."

:: Reaching up toward Morgan's face...it was a risky move, but a move Alexis was willing to take it. Gently removing Morgan's large designer glasses, she held them carefully within her fingertips as she looked into Morgan's eyes. Eyes that were just as hers were.....filled with pain and sorrow. ::

"Morgan.....I know the pain, and the regret, and the guilt that you feel right now. Because I feel it too. I just....I'm sorry. For your loss."

:: She couldn't say anymore. It was just...difficult I suppose. Lifting her hand up, she held Morgan's glasses out to her.....Unaware that Alison was in the room, Alexis basically just completely opened up to Morgan. ::

<< Morgan went to raise her hand to push Alexis' hand away as she gently but boldy reached for her designer gucci frames. Her icy violet eyes were now exposed...as she blinked... the redness and strain indicated she had obviously been crying before she arrived.>>

<< the women looked at each other..it was one of the most powerful moments they had ever had outside the battle field ...and there was no sound...only the silent air around and Alison, who was hidden behind a potted plant and watching>>

<< there was nothing more to say. as shocking as it was, Alexis seemed to reach out to Morgan by removing her designer sun glasses......Morgan reached out and took the sunglasses from Alexis,...and took her into her own arms..hugging her>>

:: As Morgan embraced her with a hug, Alexis' body went weak. She couldn't hold her overload of emotions in as she soon began to weep; wrapping her own arms around Morgan, returning the hug. This was it. Hell had JUST frozen over. Morgan and Alexis were hugging....were understanding each other. Yes, hell was offically now a skating rink. ::

:: After a few long moments, Alexis finally let Morgan go..pulling away from the hug. Her face was wet from the tears that were just spilled, yet she looked somewhat happier. A small smile appeared on her lips as she took Morgan's hand within her own. ::

"Thank you..."

:: Sniffing, her eye happened to catch the small heart pin that was on Morgan's blazer...she hadn't noticed it before, probably because she was so distracted. Looking at the picture within the heart...it was Blaze. Gently letting Morgan's hand go, she lifted it up to the pin and brushed her finger tips across it softly. ::

"You know...she would be very proud of you right now."

:: Of course, Alexis was talking about the fact that Morgan was being so open and helpful towards the meta-human. When normally, Blaze was trying to stop them from bickering. It was a great moment. One of the most memorable thus far in the game...atleast in her eyes. Taking a deep breath in, Alexis took her hand back from Morgan's blaze and looked down at her watch. It was quarter til' 12. Time sure was flying... ::

"We should get going. The funeral starts in 15 minutes..."

:: Pausing, she realized Alison hadn't arrived yet. ::

"Is Alison still coming?"

<< Morgan kept her eyes close..as tears fell down her wintery smooth face..she knew the pain Alexis was in...and she was like a pillar for Alexis right now. after a few moments of grieving and support..the women seperated...and Morgan wipped her eyes with a hankerchief from her small purse as Alexis commented on Blaze....noticing the heart pin on Morgan's blazer.>>

<< Morgan was stunned by this...but in her heart of hearts..she knew this was yet another small triumph in her quest to move forward and proove Ororo proud>>

<< taking her gucci sunglasses and putting them back on, Morgan took her purse and placed it over her shoulder...clearing her throat>>

Alison will be here...she has that uncanny knack to be just where you want her when it counts the most. its one of the reasons she's been so important in my life all these years.

::A pop was heard..as a pair of Cobalt blue eyes opened right in front of Morgan and Alexis.....and soon after, Alison Marble appeared in full form.::

::Alison was now wearing a black, low cut V neck mini dress by Calvin Klien along with a waist length, military inspired designed tie round black jacket...it was a stylish, trendy, yet sexy outfit that revealed Guardian's own well toned, long legs...which were supported by black high heeled four inch pumps::

::her hair, was styled just like it had been for the gala..jet black, bone straight and parted down the middle...resting just above the shoulders in a chic, simple, flawless bomb (see pic from the gala thread)* and as her cobalt blue eyes sparkled...Guardian was now dressed and ready to accompany Morgan and Alexis to the funeral.......she had seen EVERYTHING that had taken place...but she would not let on that she had. She simply looked polished, poised and coldly elegant...much like her best friend Morgan.::

I am here.......there's something you should know. Cameron said he wanted to come. But given that Morgan has forbade him to return to Illustra...he will be meeting us there in Port Charles. he has promised to stay away from Morgan and will cause any disruption while we are there.

::Alison didnt mention that Adrian was supposed to join them as well...Morgan still had not met this man...and no doubt Alexis would not want to see him just now. BUT in the event there was trouble, while Morgan and Alison plenty of fire between them to help Alexis....it was tactical move on Alison's part to allow Cameron AND Adrian to come.....as she had foreseen that Adrian WOULD become a new member of The Six.::

:: Nodding to Morgan as she spoke about Alison, soon enough, the woman appeared out of no where. Looking over to Alison, she listened to her speak about how Cameron was coming...she really hoped he would. ::

"Alright. Thank you, Alison."

:: Clearing her throat, Alexis stepped back from both woman, turning away. Picking up her bottle of water that was on the coffee table near her, she opened it, taking a small sip. Her throat was very dry, and her mouth felt like she had just eaten a pound of sand. All signs of fear and anxiety. Turning back to the woman, she nodded... ::

"Alright...let's go."

<<adjusting her tailored suit...and making sure her hair was intact..Morgan looked over Alexis and Alison...her gucci sunglasses made her looking detached and emotionless...just the look she wanted when in the midst of strangers...and the possibility of Helena attacking them somehow.>>

alright. next stop...port charles!

<< lifting her hands...a chime sounds off before erupting into blast of thunder as a stepping disc opens beneath the women horizsontally and and encompasses their lower bodies...in the twinkling of the sorceress' eye....they teleport from NYC ...to Port Charles...arriving at their destination>>

Church - Port Charles

:: As the woman disappeared in a blink of an eye, the just as soon reappeared in Port Charles, standing outside of the church in which the service was being held. The doors were closed, but she could hear the chatter of voices within the building. Stepping forward, Alexis pushed the massive wood doors open, stepping through the small entry way. Soon, she saw everyone. Her family, her friends, AJ's friends, family friends, and more. Soon, people began to turn toward Alexis, Alison, and Morgan. ::

:: The first to approach was Felicia Scorpio. She was a long time friend of the Quartermaine's, long before Alexis even found out she was a Quartermaine. Felicia was a petite woman, standing at 5'4 and 120 pounds. Long dirty blonde hair and a brown eyes complimented her sweet look. But nothing made Felicia stand out more then her adorable voice. As Felicia embraced Alexis with a hug, Alexis looked forward towards the front of the church, seeing the large photo of AJ which sat next to the closed pearl white coffin. Fluttering her eyes, she pulled away from Felicia who smiled remorsefully at Alexis before proceeding to walk past her toward's Bobbie Spencer, another well known Port Charles's citizen whom Felicia was very close with. ::

:: It had been some time since Alexis had seen these people...it was actually very nice to see them again; she just wished it was under better circumstances. Stepping past a few more people, she finally saw her family, a small cluster in the center of the church. Lifting her chin, she was somewhat taken aback at the sight of them; but nevertheless, she proceeded to make her way up to them. ::

:: The first to turn and notice Alexis was her younger sister, Emily. Emily was adopted by the Quartermaine's under devastating circumstances when she was only 11. Helena would always give Emily a hard time, much like she did Alexis, so they always seemed to be two peas in a pod. Emily was very darling; always looking at life in a glass-half-full type of way. Her personality always seemed to brighten the dark nature of the Quartermaine's. Emily looked at Alexis and immediately hugged her. Smiling, she ran her finger's through her sister's long chocolate brown hair. ::

Emily: "I'm glad you decided to come, Lexi.."

:: Smiling, she pulled away from Emily, who had a somewhat reassuring look on her face. But Alexis could tell she was afraid of something...most likely Helena causing a scene. Turning toward Dillon, her nephew, he pulled Alexis into a hug. Dillon was always the Quartermaine who never wanted to be a Quartermaine. His mother....Helena, dictated everything in his life, and he hated it. And what he hated even more was the fact that she was so cruel to Alexis. Dillon was a dreamer; he wanted to head off to California and go to film school to become a director. Some might think of him as a bit of a film geek, he to the residents in Port Charles, and to Alexis, he was nothing more then a young man striving for his dreams. ::

:: Next was Jason, Dillon's older brother. Jason loved Alexis, but would side with his mother on certain things. He had always been a bit distant from Alexis, more so because he really never got to know her all that well, but either way, he was civil toward her. Gently rubbing her upper arm, he nodded to Alexis, giving a half smile to her. He wasn't much of a hugger...especially in public places. Stepping past Alexis, he made his way toward some other guests. ::

:: Last but not least, was Alexis' grandfather, Edward. Edward was....well...Edward was Edward. He was an outspoken business man who loved his Brandy and never gave AJ the respect he deserved. More of "tough love" over actually love, Edward was never the one to admit he was wrong or ask for help. Much like Alexis...Looking to Alexis, Edward's hardass facial expression didn't shine light onto how he was truly feeling--guilt. Edward loved AJ and yet he always made AJ seem like he was never good enough to be a Quartermaine. In some ways, Edward felt responsible for AJ's death as well.... ::

:: These were only some of Alexis' family....The Quartermaine's. The well known, business savvy family known throughout the world. But in actuality, they were as dysfunctional as the next family. Yet they all came together for AJ's funeral–as a family. Something they didn't even consider themselves anymore. The only person that was missing from this little "reunion" was Helena. Glancing around the large group of people within the church, she couldn't see her aunt anywhere. Not a good sign usually....Turning to Dillon, Alexis softly spoke. ::

"Where's Helena?"

:: Dillon turned to Alexis and shrugged. ::

Dillon: "No clue...I haven't seen her since yesterday. But she wouldn't miss AJ's funeral...

:: Sighing, Alexis nodded to Dillon. Stepping away from him, she made her way back toward the front of the church, meeting up with Alison and Morgan once again. ::

"Helena's not here....but I’m sure she'll be making an appearance soon enough. Either way, the service will be starting shortly."

:: Cameron appeared as the black car he rented pulled up in front of the church as he stepped out of the car and dusted himself off as he simply stared at the Church. This was going to be an interesting situation. Prophet had never been to a funeral in his life before. He always thought it would cause too much strain on his powers. Hearing all the thoughts, the grief and anguish. It would just be too much. But now things were a little different. He took a deep breath and stepped inside. There was a massive sea of people who all seemed to show up for AJ's funeral. He wanted to stay away from Morgan and thankfully he found a friendly face in the crowd. His good friend Gabrielle Solis. The two had met at various parties in New York and Los Angeles. Well at least that was before she had gotten married and moved to the suburbs. He took a seat next to her and tried to calm down before the ceremony. ::

Cameron: Hey Gabrielle, I hope this seat isn't taken.. I am trying to be a little low key. I can't believe he's gone eh?

Gabrielle: Yeah, he was a good kid. And yet that horrible monster of a woman Helena is still standing. She is right up there with cockroaches and Cher. We'll never get rid of her.

:: Cameron smiled but felt this an innapropriate given the setting. He saw Alexis in the distance and waved at her to try and get her attention. He wondered if she would see. He just wanted to let her know that he was there. ::

:: As Alexis stood with her family, she noticed Cameron make his way into the church and sit down. Seeing him wave to her, a half smile appeared on her lips as she put her hand up to show that she saw him. ::

:: Everyone, except Alexis, her family, and a some family friends, were now sitting in the pus of the church. Soon, a younger minister, maybe in his early 30's, made his way up to the podium that was placed aside of the pearl white coffin. Dressed in a normal white robe, he raised both hands up to gain everyone's attention. ::

"Would everyone please take their seats."

:: Turning to look at the minister, her eyes then shifted back to her family who seemed to take each other's hands simultaneously. It was rather strange actually...the support the family seemed to radiate. Actually...not strange--comforting. As Alexis released her hand from the groups, she and the Quartermaine family began to make their way to the front set of pus and sit down. ::

:: Just as everyone was getting situation, a loud bang could be heard from the front of the church---the door had just closed rather loudly. Everyone seemed to turn toward the entry way to see who the hell was making their entrance so well known, especially in an event such as this.... ::

"Helena.."

:: Alexis whispered ::
