:: Seven o'clock was quickly approaching as Alexis was running around her apartment trying to finish up getting ready. Dressed in a one of a kind Versace gown, Alexis had the dress custom made especially for this event. She always did enjoy getting dressed up for occasions like this; it was a way for her to showcase how elegant she could truly be. Shuffling into the bathroom, Alexis needed to spritz her hair one last time with some hair spray before she put on her jewelry, shoes, and perfume. Her sleek up do only complimented the truly exquisite dress she had on, making Alexis' overall look, flawless. Walking out of the bathroom, she headed straight for her dresser, picking up the simple inch long diamond earings that were already laid out. Putting them into her ears, she then picked up her diamond cuff braclet, slipped it onto her wrist, followed by a beautifully square cut diamond ring in which she placed on her right ring finger. Alexis was now fully dressed. Before leaving her bedroom, she quickly picked up her 'Amor Amor' designer perfume, and prayed it on her bare neck. Now smelling as good as she looked, she was ready to grab a quick, yet light, bite to eat, before heading off to the event. ::

:: Making her way down the hallway, the blonde's heals made a soft clicking noise on the hardwood floor until her shoes finally met with the carpet. Trekking through the livingroom and to the kitchen, she picked up her silver sequence clutch handbag and opened it, double checking that she had her money, cell phone, lip gloss, and compact. Check, check, check and check. Everything was accounted for. Placing her clutch down, she turned to the fridge and opened it, grabbing a yogurt. Closing the fridge, she headed to one of the utensil draws, opening it, and removing a spoon. While there, she pressed the "speaker" button, on the phone which sat in the kitchen, and then pressed "2". Dialing could be heard out loud as she called up Cameron to see if he was almost ready to leave. ::

"Pick up your phone, lover boy."

:: Taking a bite of her strawberry banana yogurt, Alexis leaned her body weight against the counter top, facing the phone, awaiting Cameron to pick up. ::

I love that Alexis is in a gown and diamonds, standing in her kitchen eating a yogurt :D
Alexis' Apartment, Outside

Adrian shifted in his black, leather seat, gazing out through the window at the passing houses and apartment complexes. He sighed audibly, but the limousine driver, Cathy, knew better than to ask. Even after several years of employment, he was a mystery to her. You knew only as much as Adrian wanted you to. Which, really, wasn't much.

Cathy was relieved to break the awkward silence by happily announcing their arrival at the Illustra building. Her dark, alluring eyes glanced to Adrian in the rearview mirror, and he nodded, a grin on his face. Her heart fluttered, but she ignored the impulse. "Will you be greeting Ms. Quartermaine, sir?"

Adrian shook his head. Without another word, Cathy sifted the glove compartment and found his cell-phone, surpressing a sigh. It was a needless $1000 purchase, and as a girl coming from a very poor family, she was still astounded by his flamboyant lifestyle and equally flamboyant spendings. Entering in two different sets of passwords, she then proceeded to scroll down the substantial list of celebrities and finally found a number for Quartermaine, A. Tossing back a black lock of hair, Cathy put the cell-phone to her ear and pressed "call".

From the back of the limousine, Adrian watched, a bemused expression on his face. Ring, ring, my darling. He gently traced a soft petal from the bouquet of white oleanders in his lap, waiting.

Alexis' Apartment

:: Either Cameron was in the bathroom fixing his hair for the 50th time, or he had already left. Either way, Alexis sighed pressing the off button to her landline phone. Tossing her spoon into the sink, she opened up one of the larger floor cabinets, revealing a hidden trashcan. Throwing her empty yogurt cup away, she then looked over hearing her phone begin to ring. Ahh, Cameron must of finally gotten that last strand of hair in place. Rolling her eyes with a small smile appearing on her lips, she leaned over the counter top looking at the caller ID. Odd...it was a number she didn't recognize. Picking the cordless phone up off of it's charger, she placed it to her ear. ::

"Hello?"

Alexis' Apartment, Outside

"Ms. Quartermaine," Cathy responded from the other end of the line, hinting at a Spanish heritage with the slight sharp stress of the constonants, "Adria--I mean to say, Mr. Lockhart, has arrived and is waiting for you outside."

She bit back a laugh. As hopelessly charmed as she was with Adrian, she found his "wooing" tactics a bit juvenile. Turning slightly to again regard him with her sultry gaze, Cathy smiled. He grinned back, aware of her thoughts. Other celebrities would have regarded Cathy as an eccentric driver and a hopeless flirt, but he had found both qualities alluring. Not that those were the only qualities..that dress for instance, effectively made the woman an instant orgasm on heels.

Adrian smoothed an eyebrow with his index finger and checked his expensive gold watch. He figured he had 5 minutes before he would meet Alexis. He shifted in his seat and leaned forward, a suggestive look on his face. Cathy put a hand over the receiver, giggling. Adrian's dark gaze drew her in. Fuck. This was so unprofessional. She shouldn't. No...

Having forced herself to look away, Cathy sneeked a peak at him.

Adrian licked his lips.

Fuck.

An audible 'thump' was heard as Cathy fell into the back seat area.

Alexis' Apartment / Limo

:: Hearing the unfamiliar voice, she didn't know of any Cathy...but soon, her questions were answered. Adrian. The egotistical ass from her office. A small smirk appeared on the blondes lips... ::

"Oh of course. I'll be down in a minute."

:: Not hearing any responds...she only heard what sounded like the phone dropping. Raising both her eyebrows, Alexis shrugged and hung up the phone. With a soft giggle, Lexi headed over to one of her kitchen draws, opening it. Ripping off a piece of blank paper from a pad, she then took out a pen and closed the draw. Placing the paper down upon the counter top, she began to write in script. ::

"My sincere apologizes, Adrian.
But unfortunately. I don't accept dates from losers.
Love Alexis"

:: Smiling down at the letter, she placed the pen down and lifted the paper off of the counter. Sealing it with a "kiss", she looked, once again, at the piece of paper, now having an impression of her lips at the end of the letter. Folding it into thirds, she then wrote "Adrian" on the blank part of the letter, as her grin grew bigger with pleasure. Turning to her clutch purse, she picked it up and headed for the door. ::

---

:: Exiting the express elevator which went to the rear entrance of the building, the doorman, Nikolas, immediately smiled at Alexis. ::

Nikolas: "You look stunning Ms. Quartermaine."

:: Smiling graciously to Nikolas, he was always a flirt. ::

"Thank you, Nikolas....If you could, would you please head out front for me? There will be a large black limo waiting there with a Mr. Adrian Lockhart inside. And just give him this letter."

:: Smiling, she handed the letter to Nikolas who once again smiled to Alexis and nodded. Turning to the door, Nikolas opened it for her, revealing a large black stretch limo which was parked, awaiting to take Alexis to the Gala. Stepping outside, she turned once again to Nikolas. ::

"Thank you."

:: And with a playful wink, the blonde proceeded to get into her limo and head off to the Gala. ::

---

:: Of course following Alexis' orders, Nikolas proceeded to make his way from the rear of the building to the front. Pushing the large floor to ceiling glass double doors open, Nikolas indeed saw the black limo parked out front as Alexis had explained. Walking to the rear of the limo, he proceeded to knock gently on the tinted window. ::

Adrian drew in a deep breath, wiping some sweat off of his brow. He grinned down contendedly at Cathy, who had her adorable head strewn across his naked torso. Some stray locks of her black hair tickled him, and he adjusted himself accordingly.

"Cathy, babe," Adrian began, hearing the sound of footsteps approaching.

"Oh, right, yes," she said hastily, sitting up. Her dark eyes quickly scanned her dress. Thank God, no mess. Cathy smiled cheerfully, smoothing it out. She felt her eyes flutter -- the scent of him. Insatiable, she was. Damn girl, get ahold of yourself. Cathy glanced briefly back at Adrian. He looked absolutely delicious. She licked her lips and, picking up the long forgotten cell-phone, crawled back to the driver's seat.

Adrian himself methodolically went through the habit of putting back a suit that was disarrayed after a steamy sesion of sex. Though after countless tosses in limousines with her, Adrian was happy to find Cathy's skill was ever-increasing. He sniffed some, and sighed. Besides the scent of sex, his pheromones had kicked into overdrive, and even he could smell the hint of chocolate and mint.

Flicking on the air-conditioning, he turned to the car door and opened it. He had an arm ready with the flowers, but much to his surprise, Adrian was greeted with the sight of the doorman.

"Ah..what?" He stared at the man.

:: Nikolas looked down at Adrian and nodded to him respectfully. ::

"Mr. Lockhart."

:: Handing him the letter, Nikolas once again nodded before he turned and headed back into Illustra. ::

Alexis' Apartment, Outside

Adrian looked from the doorman to the letter that he held, and took it. He closed the car door and opened the envelope, his eyes absorbing the offensive words and the teasing lipstick-print kiss.

Cathy, having turned in preparation to greet Adrian's date, was also surprised to find a letter instead of a woman. It didn't take her long to put two and two together, and suddenly she was very afraid. No man took rejection well. And there was no telling how Adrian would handle the, undoubtedly, first rejection of his life.

Except Adrian wasn't your average man.

"Cathy, honey, be a nice gal and give me my cell phone please," Adrian said.

Cathy stared. She was a damn loyal employee, and she loved the sex they had, but if Adrian was going to order the girl's damn execution, she'd get the police on his ass.

"I'm just calling Brad," he added as he saw the look on her face, a laugh leaving his lips.

Cathy was relieved. She did not like the cops nor the idea of sicking them on his ass. Especially since it was a nice ass. And his lips, she could chew on them.. OK, enough, she retorted, mentally scolding herself. But that smell..oh, right, cell phone. Cathy tossed it to Adrian.

He flipped it open and speed-dialed Brad. Adrian checked his watch and sighed. His personal secretary was undoubtedly in some nightclub at this hour (instead of at work, where he was supposed to be).

"Hey boss!" A voice finally greeted him, muffled by the sure sound of sultry music and female company on the other line.

"Brad," Adrian responded dryly, though a playful smirk creased his lips. He nodded to Cathy, and the limousine began moving.

In one of New York City's hottest clubs, the secretary pushed away the girl that was nibbling at his earlobe as he heard the request. A crude "thump" indicated her swift descension to the floor. But Brad didn't care. Jesus Christ.

"You want me to do WHAT?!"

The Parthenon

:: Finally arriving at The Parthenon, Alexis' limo pulled up at the entrance, which was already swarming with camera crews, paparazzi, and fans trying to catch a glimpse at the many celebrities that would be arriving. The crowd began to go wild as they spotted the limo. Bulbs began to flash, reporters began to speak, anticipating who was here. Sitting back, Alexis opened her clutch purse, taking out her lip gloss and compact. Flipping the compact open, she looked at herself in the mirror before reapplying her pink lip gloss and closing both and putting them back into her purse. Pressing her lips together, she scooted near the door... ::

"Show time."

:: With that, her driver stepped out of the limo and made his way around to Alexis' door. Opening, Alexis extended her leg out of the limo, until finally, he stood, revealing herself to the crowd. People began to clap and cheer as flash bulbs illuminated the blonde. Smiling graciously to everyone, she made her way down the short red carpet to the doors of The Parthenon. She wouldn't be giving any interviews at this time because of her hosting duties, but later on in the evening when things began to calm down, she was more then happy to oblige. ::

:: Stepping past the large doors, Alexis finally entered, seeing the waiters and waitresses pick up their trays full of wine; prepared to serve. Soft classical music began to play in the large, elegantly decorated dining hall. Smiling to the guest whom were already there, the CEO began to meet and greet everyone, awaiting for her other partners to show up. ::

The Parthenon, Outside

Adrian's black limo came to a halt in front of The Parthenon's entrance. Cathy walked out of the vehicle, reporter's catching sight of the limousine driver and wondering if she was a celebrity herself -- she sure as hell looked the part.

Cathy smiled for some flashing cameras briefly, almost feeling like a celebrity. With Adrian at her side.. she sighed, shaking her head and curtly arriving to the passenger's side.

Opening the door, Adrian Lockhart stepped out, and an audible gasp resonated from the audience of media officials. Any event that this celebrity superstar attended was worth noting, especially since virtually every one of his outings proved to be eventful. He looked dashing in his black tuxedo, with a healthy glow that only came from recently having had sex. Practiced as ever, Adrian briefly posed for the cameras as Cathy hurried away. He waited.

Hold the phone. Hadn't his date ditched him?

A flash of a tanned, smooth thigh. A whiff of some exquisite, almost bittersweet perfume. And then the figure of heavenly Laetitia Casta was being hoisted by Adrian, who effortlessly raised her to stand beside him. As the woman who was recently named the most beautiful female in the world by numerous magazines, her presence here, coupled with Adrian's, caused an absolute uproar. A few other celebrities who had arrived looked flustered and peevish as all cameras were directed to the two, and for a few minutes, Adrian and Laetitia were bathed in continuous light.

"Isn't she doing a photo shoot in France?" one bewildered member of the paparazzi whispered hoarsley. A brief murmur of agreement and astonishment arose from those within hearing vicnity. But hell, if anyone could pull this feat off, it was Adrian.

They walked together with the calm assurance of media darlings. Laetitia wore an exquisite midnight blue dress of a velvet material, which clung lusciously to every part of her body, outlining a vulpturous physique. Yet even this woman couldn't outshine Adrian. Rather, she was there to augment him. But if Laetitia had any clue as to Adrian's intentions, she didn't show it. In contrast, the supermodel looked absolutely enthralled by her male date. Her eyes shined delightedly, almost euphorically, as Adrian escorted them across the red carpet.

Adrian waited for a suitable moment, and then chose to stop as reporters bombarded him with questions. He cocked his head slightly, eyes formed in slits of concentration, until he found that one essential question.

"Adrian! Adrian! Isn't it true that you and Tempo Magazine have decided to do business?" a reporter asked.

Adrian smiled, his voice rising effortlessly amongst the roar of noises that typically accompanied an event such as this one.

"Tempo Magazine and I have been discussing things," he responded to the inquisitive reporter. That reporter appeared elated to be the one fortunate enough to garner Adrian's attention.

"Infact, I have had the pleasure of meeting their lovely CEO, Alexis Quartermaine," he continued as reporters hung on his every word. A look of intense pain and turmoil suddenly sprang up on Adrian's features, but he appeared to mask the moment of vulnerability with that brave grin everyone loved.

"I was to take Ms. Quartermaine to this fabulous event, but unfortunately she appears to have made different plans," Adrian said. "However, Laetitia has been a lovely date," he said, directing this comment to her with a grin. She grinned back. They laughed, like a couple in love.

But the reporters weren't "fooled." They had heard every word, and had dually noted Adrian's fleeting, painfully transparent expression. Of course he'd try and put on a brave face, but they all knew this man had his heart broken.

It took the fans a little longer to realize the truth of the matter, but the exciting buzz that had arisen with Adrian's last words now reached their ears. They looked scandalized. That whore had ditched Adrian Lockhart? A good dozen or so that had chosen to come to this event just for him, and who were waving banners that professed their undying love, now wore looks of contempt, and appeared quite capable of murder.

On that same vein, magazine editors were brandishing cell phones and making calls with surreptitious expressions. Reporters looked horrified. Many of the most influential members of media, who were present here today, had actually made their careers on Adrian's name, and they just hated, hated, to see this charming young man be denied his heart's wishes.

Of course, it didn't help that virtually every mind present was drugged with the pheromones that had spread the instant that Adrian arrived. Though really, they were hardly necessary, as Adrian had a legendary control over any gathering, what with his gorgeous face, sculpted body and amiable personality.

Pretending not to notice the stunned, outraged faces of the masses, Adrian turned on his heel and after a few moments of autograph signing, walked through the entrance of The Parthenon.

If someone were to pay close enough attention, they'd notice the smallest of smirk's on Adrian's face. Entering the building, he looked utterly within his element.

:: Cameron finished putting the cufflinks on his jacket as he looked at the clock. It was almost time to go. He looked at his suit in the mirror. He was looking good tonight. His hair and make up people had left a little while ago as did Nancy O' Dell with Entertainment Tonight getting an inside sneak peak on himself getting ready for the event. He turned the lights off to the Executive Suite in the Parthenon where all of his stuff was for now that he had left Illustra. He went down on the second floor to check on Vivica and Erika who were getting ready together. The two had become fast friends since meeting each other. Probably because they were the two that actually really understood Cameron. He opened the door and smiled. ::

"Are you ladies Decent?"

:: The girls called him into the Bathroom where they were getting their make up finished up and both were already dressed. Vivica was looking quite stunning in a beautiful mocha Valentino Gown, her hair in large curls and flowing from her face that left her with a bright and welcoming glow[/url]. She looked absolutely ravishing. Cameron walked up and kissed her on the shoulder to say hello in a completely best friend sort of way. He turned to his sister who surprised him the most. She looked so Hollywood as if she could stand next to the actresses and musicians that would be there. Her hair in this tresses and her dress a form fitting and fun colorful but sexy design. She looked ravishing. He looked over at her and winked. He could tell she was enjoying herself. ::

"Well if it isn't the Belles of the Ball! You both look great! I am going to have to fight them off with sticks!"

:: Suddenly his cell phone began to ring as he picked it up and looked at the ID. It was flashing "Alexis". He excused himself and took the phone call. ::

"Hey Lex, what's up?"

:: It was too late. She had got tired of waiting. As the girls finished and they all headed downstairs and out the back entrance and into the Limo for the SHORT limo ride to the front of the Parthenon to do a proper entrance. They stepped out of the Limo and Into the Limelight ::

Reporter: Cameron! Cameron! You've been linked from everyone from Paris Hilton to Alexis Quartermaine! Are the rumors true?

Cameron: No Comment!

Reporter: Vivica! Ms. Lennox! Over Here! You're so beautiful, why work for Cameron King when you could TRUMP him by yourself.

Vivica: You know what they say! Keep your friends close and your ENEMIES closer.

:: Vivica grabs Cameron and gives him a huge Bear Hug which turns into a huge Photo Op ::

Reporter: Mr. King! Is this really your SISTER? She is one hot Number! Where have you been hiding her?

:: Erika stands forward ::

Erika: In your DREAMS, loverboy!

:: She opts for the Camera in a number of poses. She was definitely loving being in the limelight. Who knew? This could be a new future for her. As they stepped inside and soon found themselves coming near Alexis, but Cameron was soon headed off by a Business Associate ::

Amanda Woodward: Ah! Cameron! Nice to see fame hasn't gotten to your BIG head! Do you REALLY think that two dates is overstroking that big ego of yours?

:: Cameron sighed. Amanda Woodward! She was in the advertising business and in fact the agency that Cameron had turned down so that he could work with Illustra. Now that their partnership was over, Cameron realized he might have to suck up to her to get her business back, but he couldn't resist. ::

Cameron: Amanda! Darling! You look beautiful! Did you bring Husband #7 along with you or did he want to stay home and diddle the maid?

Amanda: Very funny, King! But let's just say I know about your little break up with Illustra! It won't be long until your begging like the dog that you are to land me as the new lead of your campaign, and if and when that happens, and it WILL, I am MORE than sure we can work something out. For a price.

:: Amanda takes a minute to look over Vivica and laughs ::

Amanda: Though I am not too sure about your lap dog Bonifah over there.. I mean you are looking unbeWEAVEable tonight! But I will chat with you both later! Enjoy your evening!

:: Taking a sip of her champagne, Amanda walks off, satisfied. Cameron takes a sigh and whispers over to Vivica ::

"I know that sounds bad, but two words sound worse. Morgan Victoria..."

:: Vivica dispersed to mingle with some celebrities and Socialites as Cameron made his way to Alexis and took her hand ::

"You look great!"

:: Giving her a small kiss he apologized about the call ::

"Sorry about the call! I just didn't pick up in time.. but anyway.. you enjoying yourself?

<< while moving through her penthouse at the top of Illustra...the up tempo, dreamy yet bass bumping sounds of Madonna's "Ray of Light" played through the state of the art sound system. Morgan was energized in a way she hadn't felt since she first joined VALIANT. Prophet had been booted out of Illustra and The Six, Ororo ripped him a new asshole and helped Morgan regain the control she had long lost. She was prepared to show herself at this gala...for the fashion world was ablaze with speculation about Morgan's long awaited return. Alexis' multiple page interview in Tempo Magazine along with the photography of the late Haleigh Davidoff's "Liquid Crystal Images" had more than captured the elegance and long standing clout and influence of the icy, bitchy super model...and now, with its release in concert with this gala....Morgan would storm the red carpet and feed the insatiable appetite of the papparazzi, fans, colleagues in the fashion world. Alison, her mother Karen, along with her long time friends, Sharon Kelly and Alycia Barnett would be there as well.>>

<< having lavished herself in her shower chambers and restored the wintery glow to her skin, Morgan was now prepared to slip into her gown for the evening's event. Going for a simple, clean yet figure flatering appearence...Morgan was going for a "back to basics" theme that would show case her body's feminine, statuesque appearence along with her wintery elegant face>>

[OOC: regretably, vera wang.com doesnt allow the images' urls or properties to be copied so i cannot post the images here...ill just do an indepth description]

<< standing in front of her three-way, liquid crystal mirror, on the slightly raised pedestal, Morgan waves her hand...as a sparkling trail of magicks flow from the top of her head down to her feet...and with a chime and flash of light, she is now wearing a Vera Wang black gown w/ sequin shoulder strap and belt. The gown is sheath in design with the bodice hugging the curves of her body just enough to give accent her tall, slender feminine frame and give a tastefull view of her ample cleavage. the understated elegance of the gown is rounded off by gem toned black, open toed high heels w/ straps. around her neck is a beautiful blue/white diamond choker necklace, on loan from Harry Winston. along with the complimenting blue/white diamond "tear" earings. They provide the flash and wintery sparkler that Morgan is known for. Giving her a look of simple effortless evening chic>>

<< her hair is sleek and pulled back in a stylish glossed bun...to allow focus on her face and icy violet eyes which are subtlely enhanced by the LIGHTEST touch of ice toned eye shadow.>>

<<doing a quick turn....everything is perfect from front to back.>>

<< in an icy voice>>: fantastic! my limousine driver should be arriving any moment. Alison will be meeting me down stairs on the main floor. I wonder what she chose.....

<< admiring her streamlined, stylish look...Morgan winked at the liquid crystal mirror before grabbing her black gem toned clutch (coordinating with her heels) and notices tinkerbell looking at her while sitting on the bed.>>

well tinkerbell mommy is off now for an evening of..."fun". you be good and keep things in order here okay?

<< stroking her beloved siamese before kissing her forehead...Morgan steps back and snaps her fingers...teleporting via stepping disc from the 106th floor of Illustra down to the art deco, cutting edge main lobby/reception area of the first floor.....she awaits Alison's arrival...curious to see what the Seer chose for her outfit. Morgan breathed deeply. She looked so beautiful and elegant...there was no hint of "Spellbinder" or "Demon Sorceress" about her right now. But would that asshole Cameron King ruin it?? Hopefully he had taken heed to Ororo's warning. If he crossed her, he would DIE. Still, at this moment, Morgan seemed to be "happy" and looking forward to reuniting with old friends in the fashion world and seeing fans again. >>

:: Mingling with the other guest, Alexis soon noticed Cameron, Vivica, and Erika arrive at the Gala. They all looked wonderful! Smiling to the Mayor of New York City, she nodded to him, excusing herself so she could go say hi to Cam. Making her way up to meet him, she smiled as he complimented the way she looked. ::

"Why thank you."

:: With a soft laugh, she looked to both Vivica and Erika, whom were looking ravishing themselves. ::

"You both look so amazing!!"

:: Alexis' smile grew bigger. Everything was going perfectly!! The Gala was a hit! The guests were all cheerful and having a great time. Nothing could ruin this night...well, almost. Something caught her attention towards the entrance...Looking towards the large doors, she noticed Adrian and his date had finally arrived. Raising a brow, a devilish smirk appeared on the blondes lips. ::

"Excuse me for one second."

:: Proceeding to make her way across the large dining hall towards Adrian, she noticed one of her security guards (also dressed up for the event), pass by. ::

"Oh, Ross!"

:: Placing her slender hand on the bouncers large upper arm, he casually stopped and looked to Alexis, smiling at her. Smiling back at Ross, she was only a few feet away from Adrian, but didn't look at him. ::

"Ross, do me a favor. I see that some rats and tramps were able to wriggle their way past security...could you make sure to double up the guards...this is a classy event. I don't want vermin running around."

:: Alexis' voice escalating over the crowd load enough to Adrian and his slut of a date to hear. Yes...of course, she was speaking about them. Alexis was always subtle when it came to her displeasure. ;) Ross grinned with amusement, nodding to Alexis. As he made his way past her, she turned to Adrian and his date, allowing a "surprised" look to appear on her face. ::

"Oh! Adrian! I see you've finally arrived. And with a date no less. Well...you two enjoy the festivities."

:: With a cute, yet condescending-like smile, Alexis turned from the two and headed back to Cameron, Vivica, and Erika. She couldn't help but laugh to herself....that boy needed to learn he wasn't the cherry on top of everyone's sundae in this world. ::

"Sorry...business as usual. Anyhow...Morgan should be making her appearance soon..."

:: Looking to Cameron, Alexis raised both her brows, hinting her confusion about his quick phone call he made to her earlier. ::

"So what exactly happened with you and her? You gave me the cliffs notes version earlier....a very bad cliffs notes version I might add."

The Parthenon, Outside

Adrian entered and observed the atmosphere. A large congregation of some of New York's most influential, powerful and, not to mention, famous. He was bemused that it was the byproduct of Alexis. Both he and Laetitia had nay time to breath before "Bunny" Bell, a prominent socialite, greeted them with a croaky hello. Adrian inwardly sighed. Bunny was as old and wrinkly as a prune and carried an infamous enthusiam for plastic surgey. But despite his displeasure, he grinned at her; Bunny had influence, and he ever craved it.

"Bunny, lovely as ever," he crooned, taking her hand and repressing the urge to gag as his lips kissed her wrinkly hand.

Bunny feigned modesty and giggled flirtasiously as she removed her hand, an undeniable blush reaching her cheeks. She batted her eyelashes at Adrian, responding smoothly, "Only for you, Adrian my dear." He nodded, and Bunny finally averted her gaze to his date, Laetitia.

"Oh, what a beautiful girl! Laetitia Casta... darling... what are you doing here in America? Though, I can't quite blame you for traveling halfway across the world for this lovely man. Adrian is such a catch. "

Adrian laughed and kissed Laetita on the cheek, explaining apologetically to Bunny, "Lae can't speak very much English."

Bunny looked unphased. "Oh, well, I'm sure you'll teach her enough to get by, Adrian," she said in a suggestive tone, and Adrian shook his head, laughing again. "Come, dear, I want you to meet some people," Bunny said, beckoning him briefly with a bejeweled hand and then gliding off.

"What an old hag," Laetitia whispered to Adrian in perfect English, and he grinned at her. They both watched, amused, as Bunny wandered away without noticing they had failed to follow. Adrian suddenly heard the sarcastic voice of Alexis carrying through the noisey crowd to his ears. He spotted her nearby, and begrudgingly admitted she looked dazzling. Though, not as much as Laetitia, he would note with satisfaction.

Adrian nodded as she greeted them both, a grin breaking out on his features.

"L'était Alexis?" Laetitia said to Adrian, her beautiful features slightly darkening as Alexis walked away. "Ne pas inquiéter, mon chéri," he answered back, smirking confidentaly at her. Laetitia relented, finding herself short of breath under his gaze.

"Come, let us..mingle," he said to her, taking Laetitia gently by the hand. As he guided her to a crowd of businessmen, Adrian turned his head to watch Alexis once more. By the end of this night, she will be moaning his name under a star-swept sky, he decided.

:: Cameron sighed as he went over what had happened with Morgan. He had been almost positively beaming, like his old self before the mentioning of Morgan Victoria. He took a Martini from the hand of one of the waiters and took a swig. ::

"Well, I was in Vivica's Office upstairs and Morgan teleported me to Limbo where she preceded to tell me that I was the reason that she does anything wrong in her life and that I should be expunged.. you know the usual M.O. for her. Anyway, I snapped back at her, she almost killed me, I had to aplogize for thing I have ALREADY apologized to everyone else for about a Million Times, Ororo came in, scolded me yet again and sent me back to NYC in the middle of Times Square. That's what happened. We have severed all ties, I am no longer part of the Six nor am I working with Illustra, but that is something that we may be able to talk what to do about THAT later.. I am FAR from done with Illustra.. but let's not have that woman ruin this evening. It is positively maddening how well the turnout has been so far. There are socialites and celebrities swarming this place. Everyone wants a piece of us. Feels Good!"

:: Turning to the left he spotted socialites such as Emma Frost and Candace Bushnell as well as celebrities Shannen Doherty and Paris Hilton. He would alert security to keep an eye on those two. There would be no drink splashing TONIGHT. Everything was going as planned. It WOULD be a perfect evening until Morgan arrived. She would undoubtedly be her annoying ass self and just TEMPT Cameron to do something and then blame him later for it. Seemed to be how she operated. Blamed everyone but herself for everything. Whatever. Why was he wasting his time thinking about her? He was finally FREE! ::

:: Narrowing her eyes at Cameron as he explained the events that unfolded in Limbo, Alexis sighed....Looking away from him, she lifted her hand in the air and waved over a waiter who was serving drinks near by. Looking back at Cameron, Alexis simply just shook her head. How could Morgan kick Cameron out of The Six? The Six were a GROUP of people brought together by "the powers that be" in order to help the world. Since when was there a leader? When was there a vote to remove Cameron? This was ridiculous. ::

:: As the waiter made his way over, Alexis looked over the tray of beverages he held in his hand and decided on a some sparkling apple cider. Alexis, ahead of time, made sure there were alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks available for everyone at tonight’s event. Nodding to the waiter, dismissing him, she turned back to Cameron while taking a small sip of her drink. ::

"I know this is asking a lot Cam...but lets not have a riot tonight. If Morgan says something that pisses you off, just hold your tongue. Same goes for me...There are too many well known and influential people around to cause a dramatic scene and ruin one of our careers. Let's just have a good time tonight and we'll figure out this whole thing tomorrow."

:: This night was beyond important to not only Cameron and Morgan. But to herself and her magazine as well. One screw up could land her Gala on the front of tabloid magazines all around the world. And Alexis wasn't about to allow that to happen. So far, everything was perfect. The night was going so well! And undoubtedly when Morgan showed up, there would be some tension between herself and Cameron, but nevertheless, Alexis knew they would be professional because this Gala affected them as much as it did her. ::

Illustra's main floor

:: Guardian blinked into view...standing before morgan wearing an outfit that NO ONE would suspect of the intimidating, marble cold sorceress. A striking, edgy, provacotive design by Donatella Versace. ::

:: stepping forward before placing her hands on her hips and smirking at Morgan, Guardian spoke::

well, you said you wanted me to help you cause a stir tonight...so i figured i'd try this little number.

::her hair was jet black, bone straight..and her make up was light, subtle..giving her a clean, yet provocative, slightly gothic look...it was definately ANOTHER suprising move on the part of Alison Marble::

is our "date" here??

All eyes on US

<< Spellbinder gasped...and giggled at the sight of Guardian's outfit.>>

my stars!! now THAT is a new look for you Alison! showing off that tight body of yours in a way thats titllating and SURE to infuriate your brother and his saintly sister.....not to mention draw more attention to Illustra and their affiliations/close ties with the Versace fashion house. I couldnt wear something like that tonight..as i'm the "crown jewel" of this event..its my "comeback" to the fashion world after a hiatus for so long...

its PERFECT. and when we get done revealing what we have in store for Cameron...itll drive him and his wretched company out of NYC and back to the west coast...right where he belongs.

<< she giggled as she held out her hand.>>

come on..our adoring public awaits...

<< the women strutted with lofty elegance...Morgan's glamorous chic appearence...contrasted by Alison's edgy, provocative appearence..and out the doors they went ...toward the black super stretch custom designed Escalade...the door was opened for the laides...as their surprise guest welcomed them>>

arriving at the gala

<< word of Morgan Victoria, CEO and signature super model of Illustra, arfrving at the read carpet and the "beauty pass" where she , alison and their "guest" would pose had spread like wild fire and fans began to cheer...as people inside began to turn their attention toward the outside....flashbulbs from photographers began to go off faster and the buzz grew>>

<< the doors to the Escalade super stretch open...and P. Diddy, hip-hop mogul and fashion power house steps out...surprising EVERYONE as the fans began to scream and cheer. DIddy looks dashing and dapper as ever...head to toe in a perfectly tailored Givenchy suit reporters covering the event are puzzled..but as P.Diddy helps Morgan and Alison out...the crowds applaud and cheer...screaming and whistling for Morgan as much as P.Diddy.>>

<< eyes widden and photogaphers scramble to get photos of this unlikely trio..noting Alison's stunning, shocking outfit, Morgan's beautiful, chic radiance, and icy glamor as if she had NEVER left the game...and both of these women being escorted by one of the hottest moguls in the hip-hop AND fashion industry. it was a publicity lightning strike unlike any other this evening.>>

<< Morgan smiled with a lofty glare, as she waved and blew kisses, and stroke poses her sparkling violet eyes beckoned more and more photo ops.... fans screamed and shouted as paparrazi fought over getting close to her from one side...while others on the OTHER side focused in on P.Diddy and Alison who were hamming it up...posing togther as P.Diddy obviously approved of Miss Marble's eye popping ensemble. The two witches had done it. they'd stolen the show from Cameron and Alexis and taken ALL the press coverage .... the women and their man strutted down the red carpet with confidence.......arm in arm.....they OWNED the spot light now and ALL eyes were on them and it all seemed to happen in slow motion...thanks to Alison's suble manipulation of time. >>

:: Turning toward the doorway, Alexis heard the crowd noise level elevate and the flashbulbs of the cameras blink like crazy. It was obvious who had arrived. Shifting her eyes toward Cameron, a small smile appeared on her lips. ::

"Ding dong the witch has arrived.."

:: Turning back the doorway, Alexis took a deep breath in an shook her head gently. Well, it was off to meet and greet, this was after all, her Gala. Making her way across the elegantly decorated dining hall, Alexis soon arrived at the front doorway as Morgan, Alison, and P. Diddy entered. ::

"Welcome ladies. You both look amazing."

:: Allowing a soft smile to appear on her lips, Alexis then turned her attention to Diddy. ::

"Mr. Combs. A pleasure as always."

:: Stepping back and to the side, she allowed the three a view of the dining hall. ::

"You're free to enjoy yourselves tonight. Although, Morgan, in about an hour I will be making a general announcement and calling you up to the podium as well so you can say a few words about our collaboration."

:: Nodding to Morgan, Alison, and Diddy, Alexis gently ran her hands down the front of her royal blue satin gown, smoothing out some of the wrinkles left from when she walked over. Proceeding to make her way over to her close friends, Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts, Alexis smiled at the two and began to mingle as the night continued on. ::

<< as the roar of fans, the strobe of flash bulbs and buzz of guests focused toward the doors outside and in the vestibule, Morgan, Alison and P.Diddy stylishly made their way inside...as more buzz generated....and people gathered for greetings and clapping and cheering of the signature super model, p.diddy, and the shocking "new" Alison Marble, whose sense of haute couture was obviously going to be a source of never ending surprise>>

<< Alexis appeared..to receive Morgan, Alison and Diddy. as she addressed Morgan, the sorcess looked down on her. Alexis could see the radiance...and the sparkle in Morgan's icy violet eyes. Morgan clearly was in her true element...she was born to rule the world of fashion and style...and it showed. Morgan's face was a vision of wintery elegance as she leaned down and whispered in Alexis' ear>>

youre in a world where women rule Alexis. Cameron and his paltry hotel are merely the pedestal on which you AND I will rule this evening. straighten up..and own it!

<< a surprising, and provocative gesture of solidarity on Morgan's part. just what was she up to? either way..it was clear that she wanted Alexis to benefit from this as much as she would...and Alexis was a smart woman..she knew that in the world of fashion and media it was better to have Morgan Victoria as a FRIEND rather than an enemy>>

<< Morgan posed with Alexis for some obligatory photo ops...joined by P.Diddy and Alison...for more shots..before Alexis went on her way and Morgan on hers...to hobknob with Senator Sharon Kelly and high powered, well respected coporate attourney Alycia Barnett>>
