speaking of stupid customers. i remember when i worked at Marshall Fields in the "young men's ready to wear" dept. i loved the job because i love fashion and to have a job like that in highschool was a pretty big thing lol. there was a customer who was a total ***** the whole time i was helping her........but i didnt show any reaction at that moment. but right at the end of the transaction she snatched her bag and began to leave...........and i stopped her saying " wait ma'am........you forgot this."
i held up a broom and she said, "what's this for".........and i smirked and said, "oh its to help you get home!"
she was so pissed.......she just stormed off.....and i had a nice laugh.
LMAO.... that's hilarious.... LOL... I can SO picture that.

Ugh... I HATE people like that. There was this woman yesterday, in the middle of Friday evening rush, mind you, and I could tell as soon as she walked up to the register she had her panties in a twist... she had to small children trailing her, and she was snapping at them like a moody poodle... she can't find one of the movies she's looking for, so she asks me in the most condescending way possible if I can look for it. NOW, let me tell you... this particular movie is our most popular title, and without blinking, I can tell you, we did NOT have it. To humor her, I acted like I was looking for it, lol.... that's not good enough for her... she's looking at her watch every five seconds, and I can tell you if I asked her what time it was, she wouldn't have been able to tell me, she was just looking for the hell of it, trying to look like she was in a rush and running out of patience....

so I come back and tell her we don't have it, she drops more attitude on me about it, like I'm the one who personally gave away the last copy to the previous person

I apologize for not having it in, she looks at her watch again.... she doesn't have her card with her, so I have to search for her in the database, which takes a few more seconds of her precious time, and of course, calls for another glance at her watch... at this point, I'm SOOOO tempted to ask her what time it is... but at the risk of possibly getting MORE shit from her for being a smartass, I just smile and get her rentals checked out, tell her the due dates and send her on her way... I help the next customer... but halfway through this guy, she storms back in, throws her movies on the counter AT me, sending all three of them onto the floor around my feet... I ask the man I'm helping to hold on a second and look up at her with another perky smile... leaving the movies where they are. by now, the clatter the movies had made as they hit the floor has drawn the attention of my MOD, Samantha, and a coworker, Kayleigh, who looks at me and makes a face like 'yikes!' that makes me stifle a laugh before I ask her if there's something I can do for her. This pisses the woman off MORE, if that is at all possible... she cops this vicious b*tch attitude and asks me 'what's WRONG with those movies?!' Well, Sam is looking up at me, distracted from helping another new employee, and I mouth 'help me!', and pick up the movies, opening them and looking at them... two of the three movies are not all the way rewound.... and this woman hasn't even waited for me to get a word in edgewise before she's mouthing off about the movies and if we even CHECK to see when we get them in, she spent $16.78 here today and her damn movies aren't even rewound... I rewind the movies, but this woman won't SHUT HER TRAP... the guy who's waiting for me to ring him up looks frustrated, so I jump back on the register as the tapes rewind to check him out, and the woman starts flipping her lid because I'm supposed to be helping HER at the moment... so I send the current customer out and turn to her saying "I'm sorry your rentals weren't rewound, we just opened and we're in the middle of a lot of chaos from the move, your movies are rewinding by machine as fast as possible, while I wait I need to keep the line moving because it's backed up to The Italian Job over there [which is halfway around the store, for reference

], and I'm sure these folks are all ready to get outta here. As soon as your tapes are done, I'll get them right back to you. NEXT IN LINE OVER HERE!" Well, Sam has finally come over, and she asks me quietly what's the woman yelling about, and I tell her to save me, [lol] this woman is going to over exert her vocal cords soon, and I NEED to check people out... Poor Sam, lol, she gets to spend the next few minutes listening to the woman rant, until her movies are done and we finally manage to get her out of our hair..... I turn back to Kayleigh and give an exasperated sigh and make a 'phew' face before turning back to help the next person in line....

SOME people, I tell ya.
