Limbo. Traveling to Limbo. This would be damned tricky. And so Nicolas had a plan to give him the best chance to make it. If he ever succeeded, it would be easier in the future. But he had to make it there once first.

Nicolas was in a meditative trance, standing upright with eyes closed. He right hand outstretched, he had the Astral Cleave in it. Around him, this dimension slowly began to fall away and...

...he was on the Astral Plane. It is here that he is at the very height of his power. He rose above a scraggy cliff and began to slowly spin.

Nicolas' plan was pretty simple: to cut paths from here to Limbo and use the Astral Cleave and his own sense of Morgan to determine if THAT Limbo was the correct one.

He cut open one portal and quickly closed it as a demonic hand attempted to reach through. The axe detected nothing and he was in no mood to fight demons in the WRONG Limbo. So he continued opening, checking and closing.

Nothing.

Nothing.

Nothing.

It went this way for some time and Nicolas was dismayed, discouraged. He continued on though, sending out a thought as he continued.

Athena, guide my hand. Nut, dear Grandmother, goddess of the sky, open the heavens of Limbo for my inspection.

A few more turns and he FELT it. The axe began to glow and he KNEW in his bones he had the right place. Nicolas lept through and landed to the ground below...

...in the midst of what had to be several thousand demons.

As they turned and took note of him he quickly began to 'look' for Morgan. He had his own special way that he had crafted over time to find her and it would not take long, even in Limbo's expanse. But his time had run out. The largest demon close by ran towards him on all fours as if to trample the smaller demigod.

Nicolas waited until the last moment and then charged him with the Astral Cleave flat against his body, striking the beast with that flat end backed by Nicolas' own strength. The demon stopped in its tracks, shuddered, and died on the spot, its head bashed in. Nicolas reached out a hand at the coming horde and warned them as he continued to scan. He was in full form, his skin dark and marked by angry runes.

Leave me, or share his fate!

The demons hesitated and he continued to scan...and scan. FINALLY!!

As the horde rushed his position in one wave he teleported...

...arriving outside Morgan's personal chamber as the place where he was was overrun.

Shaking his head and smiling, Nicolas knocked on the door and then waited a moment before entering. He knew that she knew who was here and he saw no need to delay further. Seeing her surprise he walked up quickly and held her in his arms as he spoke.

I could stay away no longer Morgan.

The Upper East Side - Manhattan

Looking out of the floor to ceiling windows of his Upper East Side Penthouse, Simon Pratt was busy playing the piano. The fact that he was nude was neither here nor there. Havind had piano lessons since the age of three, some mornings there was nothing he liked more than to wake up, leave his bed and immediately sit down at the piano and play. The beautiful and haunting notes of Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" resonated and echoed off of the many windows and walls, creating an acoustically beautiful sound.

The smell of bacon and other breakfast foods filled the air as directly behind him, a strikingly beautiful blonde nymph clad only in a Men's long sleeve button up T-Shirt was cooking breakfast. She was definitely of the race of supermodels and she fluttered about the kitchen half trying to prove to HERSELF that she could indeed cook. The rattle of pots and pans and cupboards opening didn't seem to stifle Simon's concentration as he played on.

Woman: How do you like your eggs Simon?

Simon did not respond and instead kept on playing. Lost in the music.

Woman: Simon? Siiiimooonnn....

The nymph titled her head to the side as she stopped what she was doing and slowly began to creep up behind slowly behind him, tip toe-ing playful as she stopped a mere few inches from him and bent over whispering in his hear before taking a nibble of it with her plump soft pink lips..

Woman: Baby...how do you like your eggs...

The feel of her tongue on his earlobe sent a sensation down his spine as he slammed his hands down on the keys, irritated.

"Are you inept?"

The woman looked confused as Simon turned around to face her.

Woman: I.. I don't understand...

[rolling his eyes]

"I'm sitting here, playing one of the most brilliant pieces of music from one of the most BRILLIANT composers in history, and all you can do is ask how I like my eggs?!"

[standing up]

"Which...by the way, is rather presumptuous of you as I don't remember asking you to even stay the night..."

Simon made his way over to the kitchen, building the components of what looked to be a protein shake of some kind.

[scrunching his nose up, looking at the various pots and pans]

"Not only have you over estimated your value to me, but your cooking skills as well. I'm a Pratt, Mandy, I don't eat BACON..."

The woman began shouting and SCREAMING, pounding her feet.

Woman: IT's MEGAN you ASSHOLE! GOD, I can't believe I didn't listen to my friends. YOU'RE A MONSTER SIMON PRATT!

[Simon smiled]

"No need for the dramatics.. "Megan" [he air quotes her name]"

Megan begins unbuttoning the shirt she is wearing and gathering her clothes, which are spread throughout the living in various places.

Megan: You condescending PRICK! I should smack you!

"I'd prefer if you just left... feel free to keep the shirt as i'm SURE it's covered in bacon grease. Have a good day Megan..."

Simon began to walk down the hall as Megan stormed through the penthouse, gathering her things, before quickly dressing and making her way towards the door.

Megan: This WONT be the last you'll hear of me PRATT!

[the door SLAMS with a BOOM!]

Simon laughed to himself while in the shower.

"I'll wait for your apology text..."

After working out, reading the paper, eating breakfast and getting dressed for the day, Simon stepped out of his building, and into a town car, looking and feeling like a million bucks.

Driver: Where to this morning, Mr. Pratt?

"Wall Street. The Zenith Group Building."

As the driver nodded, Simon took a sip of the coffee he had with him, cracked the window a bit before promptly lighting a cigarette and taking a puff. He had been told earlier in the week that Cameron King, the boss himself wanted a personal meeting with him. Simon thought it could only be good news. He had closed a pretty sweet deal for The Zenith Group recently, a large piece of land adjacent to the property where The Parthenon's Paris location was being rebuilt. Everything had gone smoothly and the new land would allow for sweeping gardens, a man made lake. It seemed like a homerun. Cameron was a man after his own heart; Great in business and a Playboy by nature. The only thing that Cameron was lacking was good breeding, but not everyone was fortunate to have been born into one of the most affluential families in the country. Still, if one were looking for nerves from Simon they would find none. Things usually tended to go his way.

Stepping out of the car, he made his way into the main lobby and into one of the large elevators pressing the button for the 66th floor and waited, fussing with his phone, not seeming to have a real care in the world. His confidence was somewhat alarming. Soon, the doors swung open and Simon found himself in the expansive reception area to Cameron King's Office. A bright eyed and bushy tailed receptionist greeted him immediately, seeming to know who he was already, something that Simon was used to at this point.

Receptionist: Hello, Mr. Pratt. Have a seat. Mr. King will be with you in a little while. He's in a meeting now and has one right after. Help yourself to a muffin or anything else at the guest table over there and have a seat![headset rings] Zenith Group, Cameron King's Office, Please Hold..

Simon went over to the guest table which was decked out with fresh fruit, bagels, several different oranges, as well as bagel toppings with premium cream cheese, lox and things of that natrue. Simon decided to refill his coffee cup as he walked away from the table and took a seat in the reception area, taking a moment to check his reflection against the black table, ensuring that every strand of hair was in place and that he would look presentable for his meeting. He then went for a copy of The New Yorker that was on the table, beginning to thumb through it. He never read The New Yorker, and nobody else did, but ask anybody in town what they read, it was sure to come up. Everybody wanted to appear smart and interesting, and at that moment, Simon did too. And so he waited, wondering just what Cameron King had in store for him.

The Zenith Group Executive Offices - Wallstreet

- It had been quite some time since Vivica Lennox had set foot in Cameron King's office. A few years in fact. Ever since she had taken a bullet to the neck, she had slowly but surely separated herself from him as well as the rest of The Six, not that many noticed or even cared, Cameron included. She had taken leave from The United States altogether and set about a course of personal exploration. She traveled all throughout Europe enjoying the food, the men and more importantly the art. Vivica always had a fascination and deep passion for art, eventually getting an Art History Degree from UCLA. She thought back to those days for a moment. She had known Cameron for a few years at that time as the two had grown up in the same neighborhood. Well, to say it was a neighborhood would be giving it too much credit. It was the hood. Gangs, drugs, the whole nine yards and for awhile there, Cameron was definitely a part of it. She had been introduced to him at fourteen years old when her friend was "dating" him. -

Flash!

Los Angeles - 1999

A fourteen year old Cameron King, complete with sagging pants, a baseball cap and a shirt that was three times the size of him walks up to a just as young Vivica, sporting some absolutely crazy braids and braces, and her friend, Renee, a beautiful young biracial girl.

Cameron: Wassup, Renee! Gimme some love!

*The two engage in some kind of frantic, disgusting tonsil honkey as Vivica watches nervously*

Renee: Okay, ENOUGH, C! I want you to meet my girl! Vivica, this is Cameron!

Vivica nervously extends her hand to greet him but Cameron brings her into a big bear hug.

Cameron: Don't be wasting my time with no handshake bullshit! I'm Cameron!

- They had been best friends ever since. Cameron's bright and bubbly personality brought her out of her shell and her attention to detail and general "polishing" kept him out of trouble for the most part and put him on the right path. For many years they were like brother and sister. Never once did they cross that line, which Vivica was proud of. He helped her study for school, she helped him prepare for his Series 7 and Series 63 exams, the ones needed to become a licensed Stockbroker. But that seemed like a hundred years ago. Actually it had been exactly 14 years, 6 months, 18 days, 6 hours and 5 minutes. Her brain was a gift and an ultimate reminder that no matter who you are now, your past is always around the corner. Vivica stood from the chair across from Cameron's executive desk as she grabbed her coffee and began to pace as she spoke. -

"I'm glad you could make some time for me today, Cameron. I appreciate it. I haven't been to the new offices yet. Very nice. You are certainly becoming a titan of industry!"

Cameron: I'm doing pretty well for myself, all things considered. And I always have time for you, Vivica.

- She hesitated for a second. Part of the reason that Vivica and Cameron had drifted apart was that Vivica felt that she was the only person there for Cameron for most of his life and that when he helped found the Six, found out that he had sisters and this new life, he kind of pushed her away. Sure, they worked together and in fact it was Vivica all those years ago that helped him to obtain his first business loan, but their relationship changed and eventually Vivica felt iced out. It had been for the best really, as Vivica finally was exploring things that she was passionate about, but she did really miss her best friend and brother. -

"Oh you have time for me alright, in between all of those ratchet heads you twirl about around town!"

Cameron: Oh please, my taste has GREATLY improved over the years, though I guess nobody will ever compare to Renee!

"Boy, I was SO jealous of that girl. She was fourteen and had the body of a twenty five year old.."

Cameron: You're telling me...

Vivica smacked Cameron a bit on the chest as he smirked at her.

"There I was, just skin and bones. Crazy braids and those braces I had to wear for like three years!"

Cameron: Ah, come on Vi. I always thought little Vivica was adorable! And look at ya now, girl! DAYUM!

She smiled back at him. Vivica had missed things like this. This was the Cameron she loved. He was so familiar, even his scent. He was also a creature of habit. She looked around his office. Cameron always kept his desk at a 45 degree angle, he liked his furniture slightly askew to appear more laidback. He stacked his magazines on the coffee table in vertical horizontal pattern and had the same subscriptions for years. She knew that is she opened the second drawer of his desk she would find a playboy, a cigar and a cheap bottle of whiskey. Not because he was an alcoholic, but because sometimes he go so involved in his work that he didn't want to leave his desk. He had all that money, but when it was just him, he bought the cheap alcohol. It reminded him of his past, of the days when they would get drunk together in parking lots and just talk for hours. All of these intricate details she knew about him, and yet when she looked at him now, she couldn't help but feel like he had become somewhat of a stranger.

"Yeah, yeah. I do alright I guess...what am I saying? Honey I straight burn it up! Girls can't HELP but be thirsty around me, boo! But enough about that. I actually came here to give you something."

Vivica walked over to her black embellished bag and reached inside, producing a check that totalled some $45,000. She walked over to his desk and set it down as she cocked her head with a smile.

"It's repayment of the loan you gave me when I started Belle Epoque."

Cameron looked perplexed for a moment.

Cameron: Vivica, when you told me you were opening your own gallery, I was thrilled. And when you told me you had started painting, well I started saving money so that I could afford one your paintings one day. That aside, that wasn't a loan. It was a gift, you know that.

Vivica furrowed her brow for a moment. She knew he wasn't going to want to accept it. But it was important for her to do this. Her entire finances had ALWAYS been tied up with Cameron. He had essentially paid for her life. She worked for him for so many years and she paid for so many things with that money. This gallery was the first thing she had done for herself outside of him. So when he gave her that money, she knew she would pay him back. Thankfully the gallery was WILDLY successful and she was able to pay the loan off much sooner than she expected.

"Cameron...look. I thank you for the money, and for everything you've EVER done for me. But...it's important that I pay you back. Belle Epoque is my baby. She's the first thing that i've done by myself, outside of you...I'm not trying to insult you, I'm just saying that since the gallery is MINE, it has to stay mine..I have to pay you back...it wouldn't be right..."

Cameron smiled for a moment before standing from his desk, as he walked over to Vivica and embraced her in a big hug.

Cameron: I get it. I just did the same thing with Morgan when I bought the Parthenon. I get wanting to make it on your own..so i'll take the check, if only because I was thinking of buying a new car.

The two laughed together.

"Cameron King, you fool! You don't ever even DRIVE yourself! What are you gonna do with another car?"

Cameron stopped for a moment.

Cameron: There's always car sex!

"You're too much..."

Cameron: I think i'm JUST enough, honey! Now listen...

Cameron got serious for a moment.

Cameron: I've really missed you. I know you've been doing your thing, and i've been doing mine, but we haven't talked like this in almost a year. Postcards and text messages don't cut it. We can't keep doing this..you are my blood Vivica. My sister. It's always been you and me, from the beginning. I don't want that to change..

Vivica let out an exasperated sigh. How she wished that could be the case. Cameron had chosen his family and unfortunately, as much as they cared for each other, and loved one another, he would always belong to The Six, and they were a group of people that she just didn't fit in with. And besides, she was busy herself, working not only at the gallery, but with a group of extraordinary women who did just as much good as The Six. Cameron and Vivica were merely at a crossroads, and Vivica wasn't sure if they would ever not be there after everything that's happened.

"I know..I just, I needed time to figure out what to do with my life. And honestly, you already died once on me. After I lost you, even though it was temporary, my life turned so chaotic. I had no idea what to do. You know I was only in the stock game because of you, but when everything fell to my hands...I couldn't cope. I didn't know how to do anything without you. That really scared me...So I had to separate. I only came back briefly for your funeral and that landed me a bullet in the neck from Ava Cassadine..."

Cameron coughed for a moment, realizing something...

Cameron: Oh my god. About that..I don't know if you guys are cool or whatever, but she's on her way here any minute. I have a meeting with her after you. I'm sorry, I didn't even realize...

Vivica gave a half smile.

"Well, I'm not about to braid the woman's hair, but as long as she keeps HER pistol in her pocket, i'll do the same. Besides, i've been watching a lot of pro wrestling lately...I'm pretty sure I could take her."

The two laughed at Vivica's photographic reflexes. It made her the perfect cook, damn good at most physical pursuits and if need be, a pro-wrestler. The two old friends hugged once again and began to say their goodbyes.

Cameron: Seriously, though Vivica. I know you think i've forgotten about you, but I haven't. I love you..and you are my best friend in this whole world. The Six knows who I am now...but you, my dear. You knew who I was..and that means something. So, here's what we are going to start with. Lunch, once a week. You choose the place, and we'll go from there. And don't stand me up, you know how persistent I am when I want something.

Persistent was an understatement. Although she wasn't sure of the sincerity of his words, she was relieved and warmed inside that he took the time to say those things to her. I meant that there WAS hope for them after all, and that was a good sign.

"Will do, Cameron. I love you, too.."

As they said their goodbyes, Vivica began to head for the door. As she opened the door, she stood in the doorway, and looked back at him.

"By the way....Renee is in town next week, and I AM bringing her to lunch.."

She gave him a playful wink as she began to head out of his offices and towards the elevators, passing a preoccupied Simon as she went.

It was ages since Ava had been to New York City, which was odd considering it was one of her favorite places in the world. The hustle and bustle of the streets...the theatre and music...the shopping. And the way that everything had a dark allure to it. Frankly, when The Six moved headquarters to Los Angeles, Ava was slightly disappointed. She never really identified with LA. And frankly, the paparazzi seemed even WORSE there than they did in New York when it came to capturing the six on film. So the fact that Ava was back in the city made her feel almost at home. That and CASS was subletting her apartment at Melrose Place, so she really couldn't go back if she wanted to. That would be one more thing to talk to Cameron about during their meeting--taking up residence at The Parthenon in New York.

The door to the BMW sadan opened and Ava's driver offered his hand to her as she began to climb out of the car. Giving him a small smile, she took his hand and thanked him as she emerged from the vehicle, the cold north eastern air enveloping her body. Wearing a stylish black skirt and top, that was one thing that never changed about Ava--her signature head to toe black ensembles. With large Chanel sunglasses framing her face, and a Chanel purse hanging from her shoulder, she made her way into the Zenith Group building and straight to the elevator; by passing the front desk. Taking her sun glasses off, her eye makeup was a smokey brown and lined in black, making her amethyst eyes pop. Her lips were nude yet glossy. Reading the text that just appeared on her iPhone, the elevator came to a stop and the doors open. Looking up, she then saw...

"Vivica?"

Narrowing her eyes a bit, she looked slightly confused.

"Didn't I kill you?"

Realizing that sounded slightly insensitive.

"Sorry...that came out wrong. You look good..."

Stepping off the elevator, Ava walked by Vivica and left it at that. What else was there to say? Sorry I killed you...or tried to kill you? Hey, you don't have a scar, that's awesome! And frankly, she didn't even know Vivica. Other than the woman who tried to help murder her father. Taking a deep breath....that was a long time ago. The past is the past....at least that's what I need to keep telling myself.

Walking up to receptionist desk, she was a cute young girl that Cameron no doubt hired as eye candy.

"I'm here to see Cameron King. I'm Ava Cassadine."

Her English accent rolled off her tongue like satin.

Receptionist: Of course Miss Cassadine! Please take a seat in the waiting room! He'll be done shortly.

Nodding, Ava turned to see the waiting room only sat a few chairs; one of them occupied by Simon Pratt. A very well known almost "celebrity" that came from a very wealthy and affluent family. His family was like the Kardashian....but with more class, money, and power. :p His pictures were always in the papers with his next model "girlfriend"...and his every move documented by the paparazzi. It was very similar to the situation she was in being a Cassadine [and member of the six]. Ava did have to admit though...he was definitely handsome.

Taking a seat, Ava placed her purse in the empty chair next to her and crossed her legs. Unlocking her iPhone, she glanced up at Simon and smirk, noting he was looking at her.

"Can I help you?"

LOL @ "Didn't I kill you?" :p
meanwhile, at Melrose Place

"You can set the quinjet down on the top level of the parking garage there,Kara."

Haleigh said to the pilot, who nodded and landed, then went through shut down procedures. They took off their headsets, gathered her bags and exited through the aft ramp. Haleigh invited the pilot to stay for coffee, an old friend from the navy who she reconnected with during her stint with the avengers. The complex was quiet, but then it was mid morning and everyone was probably taking care of business. Haleigh had not yet gotten a hold of anyone to let them know she was returning, and didn't expect a welcoming committee. Zach knew, but that was about it.

She let them into apartment 5, and started to brew coffee as her friend set the bags down and took a seat at the counter top bar. Haleigh glanced around her apartment. It was so nice to be home after spending months on the helicarrier.

Kara: "Nice setup you have here."

Haleigh thanked her, and made some small talk as she noticed a package on the counter addressed to her. Based on the label, she knew it was the gift for Delilah's baby, who should have been born by now if Haleigh's math was correct. Haleigh had missed the entire pregnancy including the baby shower, and though she'd sent a gift already, she felt guilty about missing so much. She wasn't sure how to feel about the baby because: it was a baby. Plus it was Bishops baby. But Delilah had decided to keep it and haleigh figured she ought to show support, so she had a custom battle dress uniform made for an infant. Which the kid would probably never wear, but that wasn't the point. Nothing says 'welcome to the crazy world we live in, kid' like a custom battle suit that matched the six' s outfits. Haleigh was a bit proud of herself for thinking of the idea.

Over coffee, they reminisced about the good old days aboard their wasp class amphibious assault ship, Haleigh doing counter intelligence work and Kara flying harrior jets and ospreys. Zach came home, sweaty and gross in gym clothes, trying to give Haleigh a hug.

"Don't even! I missed you too babe, but I'd rather not smell like wet tennis shoes for the rest of the day. Shower first, kisses later."

Zach: "fine, fine. Hey, I think the danger room needs to be recalibrated. The boxing simulation tries to fight like a foot to the left of where I was actually standing. I ended up just doing some lifting."

"I'll take a look."

Kara: "danger room?"

"Yeah, it's a training simulator and fitness facility I designed. Way better than the setup on the helicarrier! You should use it when you're off ship. Friends don't let friends workout at a public gym. I'll add your biometric info to the approved roster."

Kara: "thanks, B-dub!"

Haleigh smirked. "You're welcome, Starbuck."

Zach: "wait, Starbuck, as in THE Starbuck?"

Haleigh nodded and Kara raised an eyebrow over the rim of her mug. Zach looked both impressed and amused and Kara warily asked what crazy lies haleigh had told about her. Haleigh's smirk grows as she replies.

"Oh, no lies. He's heard about that one time..... you, me, Anders, and a bottle of Blue Label."

Kara: "oh, that..... Yeah, that was the truth."

Sometimes a person comes into a room and you just know; I'm going to do very naughty things to that person. That was the only way Simon could describe his initial impression of Ava Cassadine as she took a seat down next to him. Obviously he had heard of her and seen her before as their families somewhat ran in the same circles. His father was a manufacturing magnate as was hers, so they had been in the same arena as each other for quite some time now, and hadn't properly been introduced. He looked her up and down, analyzing her for any apparent flaws, a nasty habit he had learned from his mother.

Thankfully, he discerned that Ava just didn't have any. Her attire was extremely polished. Classic black shirt and skirt, tailored to the hilt. Tasteful yet sexy at the same time, which was obviously a byproduct of being raised in a family, probably much like the one that Simon grew up in. Yes head to toe, Ava Cassadine was a total ten.

In fact, all Simon could do was think of the ways he'd like to rip each one of those buttons on her blouse right off, but that was a little presumptuous, but then again, So was Simon. She took a seat next to him and his eyes followed her all the way there. Quickly she took out her iPhone and unlocked, and without even flinching she called him out for staring at her.

Ava: "Can I help you?"

Simon squinted his eyes slightly for a moment, before cracking a smile.

"Funny, I've always assumed that british people would be better at grammar than their stateside counterparts. I believe you meant, 'May I Help You?' and as long as your asking, yes you can, Ava Cassadine.."

He smiled as he reached his hand out, grabbed hers and gave it a kiss before returning it to her lap. He smirked once more, speaking in an incredibly quick tone.

"Let's skip all of the pretense shall we? I know you, you know me? Our families have been friends for years! I can't believe haven't met before, we should do lunch! I thought the Cassadine Christmas Party was spectacular, Sorry about the death of your father, and finally, what is the soonest possible time I can take you to dinner.."

Simon kept his gaze firmly planted on Ava's eyes. They were making some pretty intense eye contact and both of them felt a little stirred by the other one, which is part of the reason Simon was so forward. The rest of it, was just Simon being Simon. Ava realized that he had a certain twinkle in his eyes that she couldn't shake. What she didn't know was that it was Simon's mutant ability to alter probability fields coming into place. Ava definitely felt for a moment that it was a good idea to go on a date with Simon, that it wasn't possibly the worst thing she could do, in fact she was beginning to even feel GOOD about it.

"Come on, Ava. I'm a Pratt. You know how spoiled and entitled the whole lot of us are. Don't change the script on me this late in life!"

Cameron King's Office - The Zenith Group

Cameron King was having quite the morning. He was also a little hungover thanks the the debauchery and good times had by all on Aerie. He was definitely feeling it this morning. He was happy to see Vivica and was relieved to know that she was doing so well with her painting as well as her gallery. Galleries in Chelsea were a dime a dozen and you really had to work hard to make something like that sucessful. Kudos to her. He took a sip of his Grande Americano as he took a moment to gaze out of one of the floor to ceiling windows that adorned his office. Below, on the city streets there were countless monkeys in suits chatting loudly on their cell phones. Brokers running back and forth from the Exchange to their firms. All of the noise, all of the excitement; Cameron LOVED this kind of thing. It was rare for people to do what they loved doing and although it may have sounded boring to some, Cameron King absolutely LOVED buying, selling and owning. It was kind of his thing.

Taking a moment, he brushed off his ultra tailored custom business suit, and took a look at his watch. Ava Cassadine and Simon Pratt, if he was smart, should be waiting outside. He was equally excited for both of the meetings. With Ava, he was hoping to maybe expand her horizons and offer her a unique opportunity at doing something different, and for Simon, well Simon he was going to fuck with, but for a reason that could possibly effect many other members of the Six. For now, he cracked his neck back and forth, took a look in the mirror on the opposite wall and gave himself a smile. Time to change people's lives. He walked out into the Reception area where he could see Simon and Ava in a very...odd situation.

Cameron quickly realized that Simon was yet again using his powers on unsuspecting people. At least this time it was subconscious. Still, Cameron shook his head and walked over to the two, just as Ava was about to possibly say yes to Simon's bold proposition.

"Ava Cassadine! Long time no see!"

He quickly walked up, gave Ava a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"I hope Pratt isn't being too much of a bother."

[looking at Simon for a moment with a little bit of contempt and humor]

"He tends to be one of those guys who doesn't understand boundaries. I mean, I definitely am not one of those people, just ask your sister," he said, sarcastically. He motioned for Ava to head into his office as she went by, he looked at Simon.

"Try not to get yourself into any more kind of trouble while you're waiting here?"

He shruggged and went back into his office where Ava had taken a place at one of the guest couches. Cameron was relieved. Sure his desk was comfortable but sometimes the very action of being in his desk for so long drove him crazy. It was a nice reprieve. He grabbed a stack of papers and files from his desk as he sat down on the sofa across from her.

"So, Ava. Everything is here. We've got locations all well within your price range. Lots of acreage, plenty of space to develop and expand. It's all very businessy, and it's all very...very boring. It's everything Cassadine Enterprises could want in a New York Headquarters...I just have one thing to ask you..."

[he leaned in closer for a moment]

"Is this really what the hell you want to be doing with your life, Ava?"

Melrose Place, Apartment #1 to #5

Delilah stood in her bathrobe (the very one she had stolen from The Parthenon), in front of her bathroom mirror, carefully applying a think line of black kohl around her left eye. She hadn’t seen any of the Six since Alycia had visited her, and she hadn’t really cared to. Not that she had anything, really, against, say, Sharon or Cameron. But they were all suffocating. This entire place was suffocating.

She was crawling out of her own skin, and she tried to spend as much time as possible AWAY from Melrose Place. Alycia’s offer looked better and better: to get her OUT of this oppressive building, this stifling TOWN. She could barely hear herself THINK.

Especially when a fucking quinjet is landing next door to my goddamn BUILDING.

She grit her teeth in annoyance.

Throwing off the robe, she pulled on the black leather pants and top she had laid out on the bed. Sliding into matching boots, she stomped out into the courtyard. She could hear an unfamiliar woman’s voice coming from Haleigh’s apartment. Haleigh, who was GOD knows where, doing GOD knows what. But who decidedly was NOT in Los Angeles.

Delilah clenched her fist, and it began to glow.

Striding to Apartment #5, she pushed open the door. If that bastard Zach had another woman in there…

Like a replay from her cop days, Delilah called into the apartment through the open door.

“Anyone who’s not supposed to be in that apartment has about 5 seconds to hightail it out the bathroom window before-“

Stepping inside, she saw the strange woman whose voice she had heard, but her tone changed when she also saw-

“Jesus, Haleigh. For a damn intelligence operative you’d think you could show a little discretion? We have neighbors, you know. That jet doesn’t cloak itself…or does it?”

Delilah’s face erupted into a mischievous smile as she moved to pull her friend into a bear hug.

“It’s good to see you.”

Simon: "Funny, I've always assumed that british people would be better at grammar than their stateside counterparts. I believe you meant, 'May I Help You?' and as long as your asking, yes you can, Ava Cassadine.."

Ava narrowed her eyes slightly at Simon calling her out on her grammar. Giving him a side glance, she scoffed softly.

"Grammar lessons from a prep school drop out...how quaint."

She quipped, her lack of grammar obviously being a by product of living state side for so long. :p. But her snappy come backs and cold shoulder didn't deter Simon. He grabbed her and and kissed it. Raising a single eyebrow, he certainly had balls. But Simon Pratt wasn't known for being subtle or coy. And for whatever reason, Ava decided not to break his hand....he had a way about him. A charm--though cocky and arrogant, it was slightly entertaining. He proceeded to explain that they ran in the same circles therefore that obviously meant that they had some sort of connection. A connection that no doubt meant they HAD to go to dinner with one another. Rolling her eyes, Ava locked her iPhone preparing to burst his bubble. But as she looked back at him, his eyes just made her stop. Beautiful, blue, and illuminating. Like they twinkled on cue or something. Ava's lips parted wanting to turn him down, but something in her WANTED to go to dinner with him. He WAS gorgeous, affluent, educated, funny, and successful. But it wasn't in Ava's nature to just up and want to go to dinner with someone as cocky as him--ESPECIALLY after what happened....she was not in a place to date now. Fuck sure, but date, definitely not.

"I.."

Cameron: "Ava Cassadine! Long time no see! I hope Pratt isn't being too much of a bother."

Snapping back to reality, Ava looked away from Simon and immediately had her faculties back. Standing she greeted Cameron and returned his kiss.

"I would suggest a short leash for that one Cameron."

She said with a smirk. Turning back to Simon, she reached down to grab her purse and stopped short of standing back up.

"You're playing with fire, playboy."

Ava whispered, indicating she knew he had did something to her during their conversation, and that he surely wasn't mortal. But that also clued him into the fact that neither was she.

Walking into Cameron's office, Ava made her way over to the couch and sat down. She and Cameron were more than just business acquaintances, there was no need to make this formal.

Cameron: "So, Ava. Everything is here.

He handed her the stack of papers that had all the properties in New York that would be viable options for the state side headquarters. Cassadine Enterprises had been thriving since Ava pulled the plug on their relationship with MysTech all those years ago. It was to the point where Cassadine Enterprises basically ran itself and made profits.

Cameron: "Is this really what the hell you want to be doing with your life, Ava?"

Hesitating for a moment, a short, soft laugh came from Ava's lips.

"It's what my father would want me to do....I'm just bored with it Cameron. It's my fathers legacy, and it's what made the name Cassadine what it is. But truthfully, I don't know anymore."

Zach: "you know, there's a bottle of Blue Label in the fridge."

Haleigh swats at him and he playfully adds that he was kidding, then excuses himself to go shower. Starbuck gives Haleigh a quizzical look, and Haleigh rolls her eyes.

Kara: "see, that's why we said that story was going to be classified."

"Relax, Kara. He has a perverse sense of humor."

Kara: "whatever, you know I don't care. But seriously? You neglected to mention that your man looked like THAT."

"What? I told you he was hot!"

Kara: "yeah, 'hot' goes without saying. I mean of Course YOU have a hot little thing stashed away. But the part where he looks like a sexy, dirty, naughty Steve Rogers? Gods! How can you even look at Captain America with a straight face? You're totally nailing his evil twin! Can I borrow him?"

Haleigh feigned surprise and scandal, but right before she responded, she heard a familiar voice barging through her door and threatening.

Delilah:"Anyone who’s not supposed to be in that apartment has about 5 seconds to hightail it out the bathroom window before-“

Kara looked back over her shoulder and smirked.

Kara: "I don't think you're supposed to have friends over, Hales."

Delilah: “Jesus, Haleigh. For a damn intelligence operative you’d think you could show a little discretion? We have neighbors, you know. That jet doesn’t cloak itself…or does it?”

"Um, yeah, but I wasn't trying to sneak home like a teenager doing the walk of shame so....."

Kara: "besides, we're with SHIELD so.... this is pretty much my land-anywhere-and-get-away-with-it pass"

The pilot replied with confidence, pointing to the patch on her flight suit that said "Viper squadron 3 - Helicarrier Vigilantes" on it. Delilah broke a smile and rushed haleigh with a hug, which haleigh returned with equal enthusiasm.

"It's good to see you too, Delilah. This feisty blonde is Kara Thrace, an old friend of mine from the service. She was a marine pilot stationed aboard the same ship. Starbuck, this is Delilah Trelaven, I met her while she was a detective in New York."

Kara, shaking Delilah's hand amicably: "well that explains the door breach. Nice to meet you Delilah. Hales, I hate to bug out, but.... the civvies get their panties in a bunch when you delay their flight schedule."

"Yeah, but at least they don't throw you in the brig."

Haleigh responded, looking around their feet for a small human, since she hasn't seen Delilah carry it in. Haleigh planned on giving it the first call sign: Nightlight. :D but it wasn't here..... maybe someone was baby sitting? Haleigh bid Kara goodbye, and shut the door behind her, then turned back to Delilah.

"Out of curiosity, who did you think was going to be in here? Because it sounded like you were going to kick their ass!"

The pretty but tough-looking blonde pointed to a patch on her flight suit. Delilah raised her eyebrows.

“Oh, did you raid Costume World before you dropped in? Halloween was last month, GI Jane.” Turning to Haleigh: “And you weren’t sneaking anywhere in that hunk of tin. I can hear a rumble in the exhaust line – [looking back to Kara] might want to get that checked.”

Laughing to show she was only kidding, Delilah returned Kara’s handshake warmly.

Haleigh’s friend took her leave, and the two of them were left to catch up.

Haleigh said:
"Out of curiosity, who did you think was going to be in here? Because it sounded like you were going to kick their ass!"

Delilah shrugged.

“Maybe stupid kids, B&E for kicks, but honestly?”

Delilah took the seat that Kara had vacated.

“I thought maybe Zach had a death wish and was stepping out.”

Delilah shook her head.

“That man’s too pretty to be trusted home alone.”

She grinned and winked.

“Don’t worry, I would have kicked his ass on your behalf…but left him alive so you could have the pleasure of killing him yourself. Speaking of killing-”

Delilah crossed her arms over her chest.

“Where you been, Hales?”

A Surprising Offer...

Cameron listened to Ava's words. He was glad he was picking up what she was feeling correctly. Ever since Ava had returned from her brief leave she had been a little different. He could sense a longing in her that wasn't once there. Couple that with what he knew Blaze was going through right now, he was able to put two and two together. Persephone was essentially merged with the identity of Ava Cassadine and had been doing a good job ever since with assuming the mantle. Still, when most people looked at her or interacted with her, at least in The Six, they thought of the goddess. He began to wonder if Ava was living the life she really wated to live or if she was just living the way others expected/wanted her to. He took another sip of his americano before proceeding.

"To be honest, Ava...I've been sensing that from you for awhile now. Cassadine Enterprises is for sure a successful and lucrative business. It practically runs itself, but I don't think it was ever necessarily your dream..."

He began to pick up the stack of papers and finger through them before finding the right one. Taking it in his hands, he opened it for a second as if to see if everything was in place. In fact it was.

"And I don't know if you've noticed lately, but I've kind of assigned myself the duty of helping the team along with finding what speaks to them. It's part of the reason I bought The Parthenon back from Morgan, in order for her to rebuild what was taken from her. When it comes to you, I don't know what speaks to you..."

Cameron handed the file to her and smiled.

"But I think i've got one hell of an idea. It starts with me offering you a spot on the board of The Zenith Group."

He stood from the couch and began to pace back and forth as he talked.

"It's all in the file I gave you, but i'll break it down. As a member of the board, of course there is a profit share, and not to brag, but it's a pretty damn good share. My idea is for you to allow Cassadine Enterprises to be a part of The Zenith Group. For a share in Cassadine Enterprises, I will give you the resources to have the company managed remotely. You'd still be the owner outright, but we'd establish a CEO, and a team of management, chosen at your discretion..."

"Once you are established on The Board, you have your pick of pet projects. The Zenith Group has controlling stake in a number of smaller corporations and in an incredible amount of real estate. You can have your pick of projects, but there is one in particular, I'd really like you to consider. Take a look."

Cameron hit a button on his desk as the oil painting over the mantle in his office lifted to reveal a plasma screen. The video began to play. A Parisian nightscape. The Eiffel tower in the distance. A star covered sky. The camera zooms and shifts to show a massive yet elegant and welcoming luxury hotel. These are the graphic representations of The Parisian Parthenon. They are much of the same images shown in the press conference from a few weeks ago. Still, the plans are breathtaking and incredibly romantic. A completely different feel from the New York location yet with the same signature elegance and luxury. It looks to be a hit.

"For your position on The Board you'd be our Chief Business Development Officer. You're well traveled and have endless connections. I'd like you to help us identify new sales prospects, help with business growth and development. As for The Parisian Parthenon..well that will work in steps. To start you'd be the Chief Creative Officer. You'd be responsible with the managing and development as well as overseeing our team of creative directors, art directors, designers, copywriters, things of that nature. Your style has always been meticulous and classic and that is the look i'm going for with that location. When I think of the Parthenon in Paris, I can't find a person better equipped to build it's bones and place the right touches on it...than you..."

As the screen went blank and the painting returned to it's location, covering the screen, Cameron returned to the couch and looked Ava dead in the eye.

"Of course after the opening, you'd step in as Director of Operations with a 49% stake in the location, but complete control to do with it what you will. It's up to you. Look, i've thought a lot about this Ava, and I know my industries very well. I think you'd be an amazing fit, and I really think it's something you should consider. It's time for you to get out there and do something different, and I think this could be a really the start of a beautiful thing..."

Ava wasn't speaking. He figured.

"I know that was a lot to process, if you need some time to think it over just let me know..but if not, all I need is a few signatures on the last few pages and it's done. Boom. New Career. New Life...and frequent trips to very expensive places in Paris to BUY things and EAT lots of delicious foods...Win win in my book."

"We were just having coffee. There's plenty left, if you're interested."

Delilah: “Maybe stupid kids, B&E for kicks, but honestly? I thought maybe Zach had a death wish and was stepping out. That man’s too pretty to be trusted home alone.”

Haleigh laughed as Delilah sat down, within reaching distance of the special order baby suit.

"Are you kidding? Zach and I have no illusions about each other. I love Cam, I hate Cam, I love Nic, I hate Nic, I love Zach....... fuck, I had to cheat just to make the pieces of my heart fit. If Zach were cheating on me, I'd deserve it. Hell, I don't think I'd even have a right to be mad if it turned out the YOU were the one he was cheating on me with. Inexplicably, he loves me in spite of everything..... I don't think I'd begrudge him the same."

Delilah:“Don’t worry, I would have kicked his ass on your behalf…but left him alive so you could have the pleasure of killing him yourself. Speaking of killing-- Where you been, Hales?"

"Did you miss the news coverage? 'A massive wormhole unleashes an alien attack on Manhattan'.....'Avengers avoid total annihilation'? I've been off saving the world again. No one told you? When the Six decided to take a breather and focus more on work and business, I went looking for trouble, as always. I joined the avengers initiative. It's like the federal version of the Six but... with more people and less actual power. The truth is..... I just found a way to keep fighting because...... that's all I know how to do. But enough about me. You're the one with the big life changing events! Speaking of life-- I had something made for you..... well not you directly but.... whatever. I would have wrapped it, but you're here and it's here so...."

She reached for the package on the counter, sliding it into Delilah's hands as she took the barstool next to her and sipping more coffee. As Delilah began to open it, haleigh wore a measured smile.

"I know I've been gone a long time. Let's face it, I've been a sorry ass friend. I just got tied up with Iron man and his whole breakdown, and then that Loki business..... I guess I figured you guys would call me if things got bad so I assume everything's fine. But obviously, I missed a major family event. For that.... I really am sorry. So I got you this to make it up to you. Isn't it awesome?! I figured there was no better way to welcome the little rugrat to the family. I mean I know it isn't going out to fight evil with us, but.... it's a fucking bulletproof one-sie! It's badass, right?"

<< He should have known better. He should have known that despite his BEST effort, his most detailed, scientific approach, NO ONE enters Limbo without paying the consequences. But he BELIEVED what he wanted. He BELIEVED that he had succeeded.>>

<< He FINALLY manages to find his way into The Summit, on the floor of the massive stone castle where Morgan's Chamber of Dreams was. He enters inner sanctum and finds "Morgan" sitting at her large gothic vanity with her back to him. She's in her current costume, slowly brushing her blonde hair.>>

:: So relieved, so CERTAIN he was. He REALLY thought it was that easy??::

::"Morgan" continued to brush her hair, humming softly. Nicolas drew closer until finally, he reached out with his hand to touch her shoulder::

:: Eldritch chimes, but of a lower tone, sounded off and a cold, EVIL wind GUSTS through the chamber of dreams, over Nicolas as "Morgan" turns around and he sees her FACE. NOT MORGAN but...::

Screaming winds and fallen souls said:

Ohhh NICOLAS. You WERE always secretly drawn to REAL power and greatness, WEREN'T YOU!?

:: Thunder CRASHES as Rampage is completely bowled over by a MASSIVE MOON BOLT and sent sliding back across the floor. Even if he manages to recover enough to stand up soon after, he is still suitably stunned by the power of the awful blast of dark magick::

I have what I wanted...I have POSSESSED Spellbinder's BODY and Limbo is MINE! AT LONG LAST, the FULL POWER and LEGACY of HECATE IS MINE! NOW, so are YOU!

:: She extends her hands, which are encased in halos of dark magick. Nicolas is once again tightly shackled in mystic chains.::

We've played this game before, mutant filth. But this time you HAVE NO ESCAPE! Just as Spellbinder's power and WILL were absolute in this eldritch dimension, the same applies to ME!

:: She gestures, igniting that dreadful spell once again...::

With my magicks, I will compell your TRUE nature to the forefront of your consciousness, your SOUL. I will turn you, irrevocably, into who you truly ARE and you will be MINE to command!

:: She conducts the spell, like a dark symphony of PAIN. That Nicolas hasn't blacked out from the pain of the magickal onslaught is a testimony to his durability, but it also serves as a perverse challenge to Circe to see just how horrible she can make this experience as his body is no longer his to control and he is becoming more and more a spectator in his own mind::

You thought being reduced to a PSYCHIC HOUND was hell? My dear boy, you don't know what HELL IS....but you're ABOUT TO FIND OUT!

:: Thunder crashes once more as the glowing light from Circe's dark magick FLASHES::

DEMON SEED OF SET, I COMMAND YOU! COME FORTH!

:: It's too late! Nicolas is LOST...only SET REMAINS...::

SERENITY drowns out CHAOS and soon, the terrifying, twisted image of CIRCE in Morgan's costume and body is lost in a soothing white light...

From hell to serenity

<< So close, yet so far.>>

<< Where Limbo is concerned, anything LESS than the desired mark is a terrifying error. one that could cost the person brave (or fool hardy) enough to try getting there, much less NAVIGATING through the mysterious eldritch realm, not only their sanity but their LIFE and SOUL.>>

<< It was not only a place outside of time and space, but also a "doorway" to ANY time and place, as Harbinger and Persephone had known with horrifying intimacy.>>

<< Rampage had given it his best shot. He gambled that his Astral Cleave and the portion of the psi path Spellbinder had allowed to remain open between them would allow him to make his way from the Astral Plane to Limbo.>>

<< But without a more concrete link such as Tinkerbell, Morgan's enchanted familiar; Shadow Weaver, Morgan's mother; Harbinger, who shared a bloodline to Hecate as did Morgan; or even Isis, the avatar of the Egyptian goddess of magick and rebirth, who had forged a bond of friendship with Hecate herself; Rampage could not hope to reach Limbo, much less the occurrence of Limbo that Morgan HERSELF was in.>>

<< He came PERILOUSLY close to the dimension though, and wound up getting caught up in the astral winds of it, causing him to have a TASTE of a nightmare "what if" reality in which Circe had ambushed Spellbinder unaware and murdered her, fullfilling Hecate's original prophecy to possess her body and power.>>

<< Before he could be sucked any more deeply into that nightmare madness, he was pulled away from that riptide by the very being whose hand he asked for guidance.>>

<< Now after that terrifying moment where he believed himself to be LOST in Circe's magick and becoming SET, he finds himself somewhere ELSE.>>

<< The soothing white light envelopes him. NO more does he hear Circe's cold voice with it's haunting resonance. There's nothing but peace, calm and serenity.>>

<< When he finally dears to open his eyes, he sees that he is at Athena's Parthenon! In all of its full golden, bright glory!>>

<< the beautiful sky outside is filled with clouds that drift and swirl along in a soothing, comforting breeze.>>

<< Nicolas' own disorientation soon wears away as he is no longer in danger (real or imagined) but at the moment, he is utterly alone. No one is about, save him and Athena's giant, majestic statue, which stands in silent sentry inside the Parthenon.>>

Cameron: "To be honest, Ava...I've been sensing that from you for awhile now. Cassadine Enterprises is for sure a successful and lucrative business. It practically runs itself, but I don't think it was ever necessarily your dream..."

Looking away from Cameron, Ava's line of sight drifted to the floor. Her dream? Her dream had always been to make her father happy. To make him proud of her. But now? After his death? There was no dream really. Cassadine Enterprises thrived after she took the helm, but it was still her father's company, passed down from his father.

"It was my legacy Cameron....It was the family business that I was meant to run after my father passed away. But now that he's actually gone? I don't know....I want to keep this company alive and his memory alive by running it, but I just don't have the passion for it anymore like I used to."

Finally looking over to him.

"I want to do something different. Something that doesn't involve international weapons affairs and the NRA."

Cracking a smile, when you really broke it down, it was a pretty boring job. Sure, Cassadine Enterprises was the leading supplier of weaponry and technology in the world...but when push comes to shove, they still just made shit that blew up.

Cameron: "But I think i've got one hell of an idea. It starts with me offering you a spot on the board of The Zenith Group."

Her brows furrowed as she took the file he handed her.

"A board member? I don't know...sounds like one boring job for another."

She quipped with a smile.

Cameron: "It's all in the file I gave you, but i'll break it down. As a member of the board, of course there is a profit share, and not to brag, but it's a pretty damn good share. My idea is for you to allow Cassadine Enterprises to be a part of The Zenith Group."

Opening the file, Ava reviewed it as Cameron continued to talk.

Cameron: "For a share in Cassadine Enterprises, I will give you the resources to have the company managed remotely. You'd still be the owner outright, but we'd establish a CEO, and a team of management, chosen at your discretion..."

"Huh....this is actually a very interesting idea."

Cameron continued by stating that as a board member she would have numerous projects she could choose from to oversee. But as he walked over to his desk, he explained he had one in particular that thought fit her best. The painting turned into a plasma screen showing off the Parisian Parthenon that had yet to be built yet. He wanted her to be the cheif business development officer, but also the chief creative officer for the Parisian Parthenon. Literally, everything from staffing to drapes would be HER choice. She would run the show the way she wanted. Create something from the ground up that was hers. Cameron continued to talk money and percentages, but that didn't interest her.

Cameron: "I know that was a lot to process, if you need some time to think it over just let me know..but if not, all I need is a few signatures on the last few pages and it's done. Boom. New Career. New Life...and frequent trips to very expensive places in Paris to BUY things and EAT lots of delicious foods...Win win in my book."

"I'm in."

There was no hesitation. Ava wanted this. It was something that was DIFFERENT than what she was used to, and more importantly, that would be hers. A project she could actually say she created and that wasn't given to her by her family.

"This sounds like....FUN. Something I haven't had in a long time when it comes to work. However I do have some terms of my own."

Closing the file, she wouldn't sign anything until a new contract was drawn up with her terms met.

"I want a clause in this contract stating that at any time I can pull Cassadine Enterprises from The Zenith group due to a decline or possible shut down of your company. It's just a safety net. I might not enjoy running CE, but it is my family's legacy and I don't want to to crumble."

Ava continued.

"I not only want to oversee the Parisan Parthenon, but the Athen's Parthenon as well. I am Greek afterall, I could update and run that hotel beautifully."

She smirked, seeing that Cameron was starting to realize just who he got into business with. BUT, Ava wasn't stupid when it came to profit and running a company. She would get the job done and it would be successful.

"And finally....I can't very well oversee these hotels without an office."

Standing up, Ava looked around Cameron's office.

"I like this one. Something similar in size and on the same floor as yours will due."

Cracking a smile, though she WAS serious, it was still pretty comical all the "demands" she was asking for.

"If you can manage all that...you've got yourself a deal Cameron King."

Holding her hand out to solidify the deal.

Spectra Couture

It was a busy day at Spectra Couture, the newest and, by far, the most profitable division under the House of Spectra. It was born from the powerful partnership between legendary fashion maven Sally Spectra, who ruled the west coast fashion scene, and Morgan Victoria, the diva super model who grew to become a fashion/multimedia magnate on the east coast.

Together, they had sent a WAVE through the fashion and related industries at a time when haters were rushing to count BOTH of them out. Blaze Victory, the more glamorous/powerful crosstime alternate of mainstream Foxfire, had come play an important role in supporting her sister in this newest chapter of her fashion journey and she was happy to do so. She'd earned the attention and RESPECT of Morgan's peers and RIVALS both in and out of the board room. Even Sally and Nicolas were impressed by her natural business savvy.

She'd shown certain people that she was not to be trifiled with and some of them werent even immediately aware that she was Morgan Victoria's sister, despite her LOOKING more like Morgan than the original Blaze AND their more similar last name. Well she used THAT to advantage, since there was still some prejudice and resitance to Morgan's return to the fashion world among some nay sayers...PUSHING for and GETTING deals, contracts and other small, but KEY WINS for Spectra Couture in different areas including digital/media advertising, copyrights and representation contracts.

She had a more aggressive approach in some things than Morgan did, and as Sally Spectra always told Morgan and Nicolas...even in on an island of paradise like the world of fashion, there are SHARKS swimming in the waters around it. Blaze would protect her sister's interests and represent her company well by being ready to find and DISPOSE of those sharks.

But as her profile grew, so too did the attention and scrutiny. One thing that Morgan, Nicolas, Sally and Blaze herself had been careful about was making sure NOT to "showcase" Blaze during press conferences, lest someone in the media who was particularly savvy and aware start asking questions about her, since the world believed mainstream Blaze to be DEAD.

At first, Blaze Victory didnt mind this, but as she became more cemented here with Morgan, the company, with the Six...she wanted something more...and yet it seemed she couldnt have it. NOW it was bothering her, but she knew she couldnt just rush out and scream "I'm BLAZE but I'm not THAT Blaze!"...

"SIGH!!!"

It was always something! for every major step forward...there were more questions...more things to wonder about.

But there never seemed to be a "RIGHT TIME" to address these things that lingered beneath the polished surface.

Today, Blaze and Sally were giving a press conference for "Truth or Dare", a bold new accessories line for the business woman on-the-go who wanted to be and look like something more than a print model from a catalogue. the accessories, ranging from cosmetics to jewelry and also purses, handbags and attaches, were designed to old bold, eye popping, yet glamorous and tasteful touches to the sexy "power suits" and business seperates that Morgan had made very popular in her recent "Glamor before 5" line.

The preview had been well received and buzz was strong. Now it was time for Sally to give her public stamp of approval. Morgan would normally be the one to be here with Sally but as she was absent, Blaze would take her place. Nicolas offered to be there to support Blaze, but she declined, telling him she had to be able to stand on her own with this. She felt like that was the right thing to do and normally she was always quite certain...but in the few minutes before "show time"...her mind and heart were in turmoil...

"it's just a fashion press conference. we're not going into battle against Circe or some other monster..."

She thought to herself as she primped and adjusted her red blazer, standing in front of a full length mirror in Morgan's office suite and looking herself over.

She was wearing a stylish outfit with black high heels. A make up check, a hair check and toss and a quick model turn of her own. Yes, everything was in order. At least on the outside.

Morgan's office suite was where she, Nicolas and Blaze would often gather for private lunch meetings or stay after the close of business to wrap things up and have personal conversations. Blaze, who up until Morgan's leave of absence, had been Morgan's office manager, had an office on the other side of the wall. Both offices were concealed from the main hallway by a receptionist area. Lately, Blaze had been spending more time in Morgan's office. But lately, this place had come to feel cold and empty without her sister here.

Her apple green eyes darted sideways toward the direction of the knock at the double doors.

"Come in."

She stepped away from the mirror, over to the wrap around counsel, grabbing the file for Truth or Dare and making some last minute notes and preparations as the doors open and in walked Sally Spectra!

"Hi Sally!"

Blaze said in a friendly tone but noticeably with less warmth than she was known for.

Checking in

:: Sally Spectra, the brash, larger than life, fashion maven with a heart of gold.::

:: She was Morgan's mentor, friend and now business partner in the fashion world. She was also a vocal supporter of mutants and a social/PR ALLY to the Six AND, Nicolas was her FAVORITE "chocolate beefcake!" :D ::

:: In the weeks following Delilah's tragic loss and Morgan's leave of absence, Blaze had stepped up and the girl had been marvelous. Sally guided her as necessary but largely let her work alone, as she prooved to have a natural instinct for this business! Still, she could tell the firebrand was not quite herself. Even now, she'd MISSED the meeting Sally had called for the senior staff from all divisions under the House of Spectra.::

:: She wasn't angry, not by any means, but she WAS concerned, and so, like any other mother or mother figure, Sally came to see about Blaze before the press conference. She found the pretty young girl in Morgan's suite, as she expected. Looking gorgeous and chic on the outside, but her face, those bright breen eyes...they told her secrets. She was sad.::

Blaze, darling, you missed our meeting this morning!

Blaze said:
Her apple green widden with dismay as she quickly looks down at her Ipad Air, running her manicured nail lightly over the screen and notices on her calendar the meeting that she'd clearly missed.

"Oh Sally! I'm so sorry...I completely forgot!"

:: Sally waved her hand and shook her hand::

Oh honey, calm DOWN!

I'm not here to read you the riot act. You've been on top of the game ever since you and your crew got back and you've done a MARVELOUS job of running Spectra Couture in Morgan's absence.

In fact...maybe a little TOO good.

:: Sally walks over to Blaze, gently removing the ipad from her hand and setting it back down on the desk and then placing both her hands on Blaze's shoulders::

You're as tense and wound up as a runaway powerline!

You're upset, arent you?

Missing your sister?

:: Blaze, who kept a brave face up till this moment, shuts those green eyes and looks away, closing them tighty::

Blaze said:
"Sally...I love being here, helping out..."

You're doing MORE than "helping out", darling! You're a LIFE SAVER in more than one way and when Morgan DOES come back, if she doesn't properly THANK YOU for what youve' done, I'll kick her skinny diva butt myself and knock some sense into her for it, okay??

:: Blaze half sighs/laughs at Sally's attempt to lighten the mood. Clearly choking back what was the onset of tears. Sally tilts her head slightly to the side, looking down at the slender fire elemental with a look of maternal concern::

Blaze, where is Nicolas? You shouldnt be going out to face the media alone. Of COURSE I'll be there with you, but wouldn't you like to have someone from your TEAM with you?

:: Blaze sniffles as she quickly grabs a hankerchief from her matching red clutch on the desk and dabs her eyes::

Blaze said:
"Oh...Nicolas...I sent him...well WE both have been concerned about Morgan. We havent heard a thing from her in almost a month and even her familiar, tinkerbell, hasn't come to visit Nicolas like she normally does. He's in the process of checking on her now. I told him I coul handle this."

And I'm sure you CAN, at least in theory. But you need SOME support, so you rest assured, my dear, when we get to the media room, I'll be RIGHT THERE and if things get to hot and heavy for some reason, I'll step in.

Now, you don't think ANOTHER SECOND about the meeting from earlier. I've already emailed the important "deets" to you and you can reveiw them later.

Now... :: giving Blaze's shoulders an encouraging squeeze and smiling at her:: Get your game face on and meet me outside in the reception area in five minutes! We've got a new line to promote!

Blaze said:
"SALLY??"

:: Sally turns back as she was walking away and Blaze impulsively throws her arms around her HUGGING HER.::

Blaze said:
"Thank you!"

:: Sally's eyes widen for a moment before she smiles with understanding, wraps her arms around Blaze and hugs her back::

Awwww!

:: Sally laughs jovialy as she slowly rocks Blaze back and forth::

Don't you worry! You're one of my babies, just like Morgan! And Mama ALWAYS takes care of her babies!

Now come on, no tears! We've got a crowd to DAZZLE!

:: She pats Blaze on the back before letting her go and heading for the double doors::

See you in five minutes! CHOP CHOP!

:: Winking before closing the door, leaving Blaze to gather herself together before press time!::

House of Spectra- Media Room

<< The elite press of the fashion and multi-media worlds were in attendance. The were even media rep from Zenith in attendance, since Zenith had a contract with House of Spectra for an exclusive deal/license featuring fashion boutiques in all Zenith hotel holdings including the Parthenon. Truth or Dare would be available to the upscale clientele that didnt want to sift through too many "options" and only wanted the best, most respectable options.>>

<< The media room had been set up for a MINI fashion show featuring models from Spectra Couture in the "Glamor before 5" business line HIGHLIGHTED by make up and accessories from the "Truth or Dare" line.>>

<< Sally Spectra, Blaze Victory and selected support staff were in attendance, with Sally and Blaze seated on an elevated panel, waiting to having their question and answer session immediately following the mini fashion show.>>

<< After a warm welcoming applause for Sally and Blaze by the press in attendance, the lights dim, the media screens lower and the mini show begins with a video welcome from Morgan Victoria which Blaze had managed to put together using her actual voice from meetings about Truth or Dare and set it to perfectly edited/cut video footage of Morgan from another private conference making it look as though she'd recently taped it herself in one smooth, seamless take with no appearence of choppy editing or otherwise. >>

<< Sally leaned over and whispered to Blaze>>

BRILLIANT work, Darling!

<< As the press believed they were being introduced to the line by Morgan herself. The mini fashion show begins as Morgan calls attention to the inspiration behind the make up and jewelry line>>

....for the powerful, well traveled business woman who already knows that glamor doesnt happen JUST "after 5". Men have their ties, hankechiefs and more recently, even theire socks to add a splash of bold, personalized, eye catching, yet still tasteful and appropriately glamorous POP to their business wardrobe. Now here's something for WOMEN. Make up and accessories that will give that same bold, eye catching, tasteful yet glamorous POP! Because after all...it's more than just about being able to close the deal or secure the contract, it's about showing you have the personal style and taste and can make others turn their heads and not only wonder who you're wearing but where THEY can find it too!

<< The models showing off their eye catching looks draw noticeable interest and positive feedback from the audience with their claps, flashing camera lights, feverish note taking and chatter. Blaze had selected the models, their ensembles and chose accessories from the new line for each model she felt would be flattered by/would flater the piece. Normally she would pass the line up before Sally Spectra for final opinion/approval, but on IMPULSE, she felt like making this one a surprise to the fashion maven. That impulse PAID OFF.>>

Sally Spectra said:
Blaze, honey, you've nailed it AGAIN! I can already hear buyers on the phone now! we're going to have one HELL of an initial take in after this showing.

<< Blaze couldnt help but smile a bit with some pride and sense of accomplishment. But her happiness was tempered by her mind's eye, reflexively returning to the one thing that she kept thinking about...the one last IMPULSE she was going to follow, the Siege Perilous.>>

<< Still, in the moment AT HAND, the time came for the question and answer session.>>

<< the models all stood posed and regal like mannquins at various points on the catwalk as images of the Truth or Dare logo flashed at regular intervals across the various media screens in the room.>>

<< Some flashbulbs continued continue to go off as the press began to ask their questions, which Blaze Victory answered with quick, decisive responses.>>

<< Everything was moving along fine and in the last 5 minutes of the press conference it seemed to Sally and Blaze that things would wrap up nicely until...>>
