World Trade Center (Film) Trailer

I refuse to see this

I'm appalled they made this a movie, I think film makers should have left it alone! I'm angry they are attempting to make this tragedy into a money maker. I ask, where is that money going but to Hollywood. Does it pay the victim's and the victim's families? Probably not.

My family wants to see this movie but to me its TOO personal, too overwhelming. I've lived in New York ALL my life, this is my state. But I remember September 11 like it was yesterday. I remember seeing my friends bawling to know their mother or father was dead or badly injured. I remembered the solemn looks on the street, the news coverage.

This is one movie I AVOID because it pains me to a most sensitive region of my soul. Its okay to have documentation on television but to script a movie and place it in theaters. So many people who went to see this movie ended up walking OUT in tears because it was too much.

I'm angry over this and I'm entirely against the whole concept of the movie. How dare Hollywood take a tragedy to make a movie, that's horrible!

i dont think its "too soon". I think that SOME may not be ready for it and thats OKAY..but OTHERS may BE ready for this. It really just depends on the person. TALKING about this horrifici event doesnt mean you're triviializing it. 9/11 is already in some elementary and highschool history text books now...and some people think that it was "too soon" to add it in, but you cant deny that it happened, and NOT talking about it wont change it.

i understand how heather feels, but its MY nature to FACE things...and i would see this movie because i WANT to know all that happened...all the details..i want to think about and continue to REMEMBER the victims. To put this into perspective...Hollywood has done MORE diservice to OTHER tragic events in our history....remember "Pearl Harbor" with Ben Affleck? not only was it an overhyped box office BOMB...but it COMPLETELY trivialized the terror and tragedy of the events of Pearl Harbor by weaving in a "ROMANTIC LOVE STORY". THAT to me was inappropriate.

I wont EVEN go into my own wild thoughts about who is to blame and what "lies beneath" this terrible tragedy as far as details go.

I think it's time we start dealing with this publicly . . I have been to NYC since 2001 and it affected the whole area . . to them it' was an attack on NYC the baddest city on earth . . they are still angry about it and to them it's more than a movie or a day or a national tragedy.

As Heather stated it's personal.

I think w e need to remember and remember who struck down the buildings.
That we are at war with radical Islamic extremists who want to destroy all of us. We have done many things behind the scenes and eliminated many enemies of this nation.

More should be done, Invading Iraq, nope . . Invading Iran? maybe,
Invading Syria and Definetely.

We must realize that if we don't know out the terrorists and the nations that support them, we are going to have events that make 9.11.01 seem minor.

It's time we secure our borders, we keep a track of who's here and where they are, and it's time we remember. We need to kill these terrorists.

They can't be reasoned with, you can't reason with monsters, you can only eliminate them.

I'm at a toss up about this movie. For one, our country was attacked because of our viewpoints and stands as a nation. So for people to criticize this movie or want to stop the production of it is hypocritical seeing as how they're basically wanting to take away the film maker's freedom of speech. If that makes sense. lol. But then again, it's also still a very sore subject for some people across the nation because it does seem like yesterday that we were attacked.

But people have a choice as to whether they want to see this movie or not. Let the film makers make their movie, let people who want to see it see it. Let those who feel too effected by it or hurt by the movie to not see it. It's as simple as that. I for one want to see it...but to actually have the guts to sit through it is another story. I was effected greatly by the attacks on 9/11. I used to go to Upper Manhattan every other weekend to visit my grandmother who lived there since I was a baby. I've been to the Trade Centers numerous times. NYC was my second home my entire life and I’m not sure if I’d be able to sit and watch this movie yet. But at least I, along with everyone else, have the option to do so.
