Nicolas smirked at her steadfast refusal to enter the portal with him. He followed her to one of the alcoves. He steadied his gaze to her as she remained aloof, distant. He spoke to her, the emotion from before fading as he spoke.

Good to see you are OK. Now, I KNOW you have things to say to me. Say them then.

Nicolas spoke no longer, waiting for her response

[ the presence of him was as it was before for her...all it once infuriating and yet on a deeper level comforting. Comforting to know there was at least one other of her blood line was still alive. that a part of her sister LIVED and that her sister would have been so happy to know that he had the chance to grow up under the care of a loving father. Isis was STILL not ready to let go of her own personal feelings about it though. She could not forget whose son he REALLY was and what he'd done when Set returned. She looked at him...and for a moment, she allowed her mind to wander and she saw him in the aspect of SET. it made her even MORE stone faced as her sparkling blue eyes stayed fixed on him.]

I am fine.

[ she remained silent a bit longer.]

you're judgement is appalling. do you really think it is APPROPRIATE for you to even JOKE about the manifestation of SET? Do you know what I must do IF you are ever overcome by your REAL father's influence? and make no mistake...i WILL! It is my OBLIGATION as Isis to protect the WORLD from the terror that is YOUR father...and I must protect YOU as well, even if it means condemning you to eternal sleep!

[ she took a few steps over near the torch and allows her cape to open up a bit revealing her outfit underneath, the black corsett and black leather mini skirt with front lace up high heeled boots. the outfit was complete with a black, spiked choker and a perfectly bloomed rose adorned the luxurious black fur collar of her cape]

What is happening tonight...it is beyond unholy and unnatural, even for what passes for normal in this place. and now to see you again, in the company of your impetuous companions...it is a bit MUCH for me to take at this TIME. It would appear, however that we must work together again to deal with a common threat.

[ she looks at her nephew....]

Speaking of them, the roster is different than I remember. Where are your witches, Spellbinder and Harbinger? This current roster is MOST uncoordinated, the dischord is so obvious that one does NOT need to be a telepath to discren it.

[ Nicolas would do WELL to acknowledge that. If he was going to talk to someone who might be objective about it, now was his chance.]

I have doubts about YOU'RE maintaining the proper mental stability amongst that group...should something happen, I would be forced to take action. Perhaps you should consider the possibility of coming here...to the Hellfire Club!

Sharon: Yes, come in.

Cameron exhaled as he entered Sharon's room to watch her fall back on her bed, looking terrifyingly at home. He had things to tell her, but still the image of Sharon Kelly lying on a bed was not lost on him. Cameron smirked as he made his way over to the bed, climbing on top of the mattress as well as over Sharon, their eyes now a mere inches a part. She could feel his breath on her skin.

"I think I like your room a little better..."

He tilted his head as he whispered in her ear, his mouth just barely touching her ear.

"Well...I did have something very important to discuss with you Sharon. But the idea of you in a bed as sexy as this, looking as sexy as you do.. I think I might have forgotten just what that was..."

He hadn't. Cameron knew there were important things to discuss, but sometimes, a man was a man, and who knew how Sharon would react to anything these days. He had to take every opportunity. He met her striking silver eyes and stared at her for a moment. She was beautiful and strong. Seeing her, right now like this, made it hard for Cameron to picture her being capable of what he'd SEEN she was capable of. All of this rage, this vengeance, this brute strength and force, hiding under the surface of a beautiful woman. Maybe that was Cameron's weakness; Women that could kill him as soon as kiss him.

"What do you say I warm you up to this conversation?"

He grinned.

Nicolas listened as she spoke. Seeing her with Malice and Enchantrah sometimes fooled him into lumping her IN with them. She was her own woman, and her counsel was objective and showed the concern she would not admit with her facial expression.

Nicolas waited a few moments before responding.

For the record, MALICE joked about Set, and I reacted, perhaps overreacted. But in the end, Set is a part of who I am. And while I am ashamed of who HE is, I am no longer ashamed of who I am.

The team is...it's complicated. It's not the same, and I feel like no one has my back. NO. ONE. People I would die for...messed up huh?

Nicolas actually mulled over Dominique's offer of sanctuary as well. He wanted to connect with her and knew that he could here, but he shook his head.

I can never be a part of...THIS. I understand somewhat why you do but realize...think about how you feel about me at times because my FATHER killed my mother, your sister. Now remember that Malice HERSELF killed the only parent I ever knew. And she and Enchantrah directed the making of what is NOW devastating people across the globe, serving set better than I EVER could with their unholy matching of science and magicks...NO. As much as I agree that you could help me and that I might need it, I must find another way. I cannot stay here, around THEM. EVER.

I appreciate you at least speaking with me and I hope we will try to work more together...because I can FEEL him...and I should warn you, or rather plead with you. If you feel you must act, try something other than your eternal sleep spell. I don;t know what is wrong with it but every time it comes up, HE laughs...and I can hear him loud and clear.

Nicolas looked somewhat troubled for a second, but then his expression became serene. this was when he most resembled his mother. He nodded to Dominique.

Perhaps alone is really best. Once this is done, I have some deciding to do I suppose.

[ The Black Queen looked up at the young man. He spoke with care, respect and honesty and that allowed her to see him LESS as "the offspring of that monster Set" and MORE as her sister's son...her nephew. But still...]

Despite you being my sister's son...I must not...DARE NOT err on the side of emotion. I have MANY plans and protocalls set up in the event you are overcome by your real father. Some I have shared with the Sisterhood, others I have not. Even from where I have banished Set to NOW, he knows that whatever may occurr in the future, it will NOT be as it was in my village many moons ago. As Isis' avatar, I have ALL of her memories and knowledge. I know him as DEEPLY as only a precious few do. I will do anything...sacrifice ANYONE to make sure you do not become his catspaw...even if it means destroying more than one of your team mates who tries to interfere.

I should not have to warn you every time I see you. YOU share the burden of responsibility in this. Set is YOUR father and while you may not be ashamed of who you are because of that, you MUST be VIGILANT in maintaining the discipline needed to OPERATE WITHOUT my taking custodial control. I am beginning to DOUBT that among your current line up of team members you will be able to do that. Their lack of cohesion is so OBVIOUS that even I, without being a telepath like Malice, can see the problem.

You would do well to take note of the things Malice revealed...especially the fact that your team may very be responsible for Malice successfully luring Silver Swan to FULL TIME Hellfire membership status. She is the widow of Robert Kelly so her membership is very much intact but NOW she may choose to fully partake of it and if that happens, your team will LOSE a member of considerable power and skill. Is that what you want? All because Black Widow and MorningStar don't "approve" of her, as if EITHER of them is a shining example of sterling character profiles.

I've read her file compiled by the Sisterhood, her story is amazing. It's obvious that Malice underestimated her spirit even all those years ago and now she sees the VALUE of having a woman with HER kind of power, and background, experiences in the Hellfire Club. Black Widow and MorningStar...They are essentially HOLDING THE DOOR OPEN that Malice wishes to beckon her through. Is that what you really want for her, for your team?

[ a matter of fact blow, and that even ISIS could see Delilah was not the saint she presented herself to be was even more telling. But Isis was doing more for him by telling him this than Malice or Enchantra would want...but THEY knew well by now that Isis was her own woman and her interactions with her nephew were something she did not tolerate ANY outside opinion on UNLESS it protained to Set.]

You and Silver Swan...you were supposed to be close were you not? She was your adoptive father's paramour after being widowed from Robert. But i see there is a rift between you. What have you done to her to shake that foundation?

Indeed it is. I am not sure you are served well by staying with them either. Perhaps if Sharon DOES leave, you should follow. I am your aunt...I am ISIS...I know what is best for you BETTER than those upstarts on your team. As a member of my Black Court, I will be able to watch over you and teach you. You will be able to grow and better function with the burden you have as the son of that MONSTER, Set.

Again, where are your witches, Spellbinder and Harbinger, and the fire elemental, Firebird?

It was Harbinger who crafted this truce between us and as for Spellbinder...

But...maybe...Isis, the goddess didnt mean for you to DESTROY Nicolas, but rather ensure that he would NOT fall into the hands of his father? much like Hecate ordained the birth of myself, Darkchilde and Magik to ensure her own mystical legacy would be preserved in the multiverse, Isis chose you, because you were the best one, the STRONGEST ONE to CLOSE that door between Nicolas and his father.

Morgan telepathically to Dominique: I KNOW you hate him...but he wasnt RAISED by that monster. He was raised by a...a GOOD AND DECENT man, named GUSTAV. The man found him...probably shortly after you LEFT that village. Nicolas has told us that he remembers as far back as a toddler so it had to have been not TOO long after you left that Gustav found him, and ADOPTED HIM! RAISED HIM as his own! I found respect and mutual understanding with her during our time in captivity at the hands of Set. She ADVOCATED for you, Nicolas. It was SHE who finally convinced me NOT to destroy you even AFTER we figured out a way to escape Set's lair. It was SHE who first suggested that Isis had a DIFFERENT path for me to take with regards to you. I saw the love she had for you...it was TESTED by the nightmare of your father but even up till the moment of the cruel revelation of what you did with Haleigh, she loved you. I felt so BADLY for her when the truth about you and Haleigh came out.

Still, she and I...we have a bridge between us, just as HECATE and ISIS herself had a bridge between THEMSELVES eons ago. I was SURPRISED to not at least see HER here with you all.

[ she looks at Nicolas.]

If we are to find this mystery woman and deal with her before she causes MORE chaos, we ALL have to be capable and efficient. At least now while you're here, I can make SURE the madness of your team mates does not lead you to careless behavior.

For now...if only these last few hours of night...try to make it easier for me to see you as my sister's son rather than the offspring of your monster father...I have not asked much of you, but you OWE ME this much.

I shall show you to your quarters.

Remain here tonight, do not go traipsing about the catacombs....Enchantra has....

[ she stopped herself from saying that Enchantra's power would make it IMPOSSIBLE for him to figure out where he was going and he would become lost, just as they had experienced the FIRST time they came looking for the Sisterhood all those months ago at the Black Party, but she stopped. She'd "helped" him ENOUGH for one sitting and he was smart enough to remember Enchantra's power and how thorough it was. They both knew the Truce had to be observed and for him to go sneaking about would directly violate that.]

just REMAIN here tonight. I shall return in the morning to see about you and hopefully we will have more information on this green eyed woman.

Hellfire indeed

[ Sharon's silver eyes locked directly with Cameron's even as he DARED to clumb up on her bed and over top her! She showed now outward reaction but she heard his heart beat, his blood flow, his BODY was betraying what his intentions were even IF he had come there for something else.]

This felt wrong. Way wrong.

Did they really need to stay here? Couldn’t they just as easily reconnoiter in the morning? Dominique was “safe” – for now at least. And Malice would soon as kill them as look at them – this felt unduly reckless.

She sighed.

But if Haleigh didn’t see anything wrong with this Delilah was prepared to follow her lead – for now. It DID give them an opportunity to keep a closer eye on the three women of the Sisterhood, after all. And while THEY might underestimate the Six, the Six weren’t weaklings.

She was left at her room, which felt surprisingly like a prison cell. She took in her surroundings, trailing a finger over the dresser top. She needed to speak with Haleigh – and Sharon, for that matter, though she didn’t expect the Silver Swan to be cooperative. Despite Sharon’s earlier comment about “getting down to business”, Her Birdliness could not be counted on to put the mission first – Delilah’s chief problem with Sharon at the moment. She had been tempted to tell Malice that she could have her. Her erratic and irrational behavior was shaping up to be more trouble than she was worth. Increasingly, she was becoming a liability. But she would rather blame Delilah or Haleigh than focus on her own problems.

She put her hands on the dresser and leaned towards the mirror, scrutinizing her own reflection. She rubbed her eyes. Malice could just suck it. Delilah didn’t care what she thought about her. And her repeated use of the Bishop caper – something EVERYONE already knew about in detail - in attempt to rile her just showed how little she had to use on her. Delilah was done apologizing for what had happened. What she had said to the others when she had left the Six had turned out to be RIGHT. If they wanted to hold grudges, that was their problem. Right now, the only thing any of them needed to be concerned with was the successful recapture and destruction of the viruses.

She was prepared to leave anyone behind who got in the way of that mission. She would be damned if any more human lives were lost because of her.

Bow Chicka Wow Wow

Cameron chest rises up to Sharon as he is pulled closer to Sharon, her legs around his waist, finding himself completely lost in the moment as if nothing else mattered. Nothing at all.

Sharon: Why Cameron King... Do you think you can seduce me?
Think Again!

She kisses him and he kisses back with just as much intensity, her lips sweet to the taste and before he knew it, the roles were reversed. Sharon was on top, something he was very sure Sharon was used to.

"My diabolical plan seems to be working.."

He laughed as Sharon ripped his shirt off of as well as his belt, her hands moving over his body in an almost rhythmic motion, rough and sexy, her hair brushing his face, which smelled intoxicatingly dangerous.

Sharon: We're guests of the Hellfire Club! Perhaps we should take a moment to ACT like it. Besides... all of this "urgency" of tonight has gotten rather OLD to me. Whatever's happening, there's nothing to be done about it NOW, so let ME take your mind off of THEM and remind you why THEY are jealous of ME!

Cameron reacted primally as he rose his body, one hand cradling Sharon's back, the other mindlessly maneuvering over her body, touching the parts of her body firmly yet delicately. He kissed her neck, and then her lips again, taking a moment to nibble on her bottom lip as he ripped her shirt and bra from her body in a matter of seconds as if he was almost insulted by the fact she was wearing any. He lightly kissed her earlobe.

[whispering]

"Distract all you want, Sharon.. I'm not complaining."

In an act of bravado, he lurched over her once more, now on top of her once more as he worked his lips from her neck, to her breasts, to her lower abdomen and began to work his way even further down, exploring her body with reverence and passion, letting out a heavy moan.

"But uh... how about you let ME drive for awhile..."

A mischevious smile filled his face as torches set the scene and Cameron himself felt like he was on fire. Her last statement had caused him great concern, he felt like she had already made her decision, but right now, in this moment, he could care LESS. He wanted her, he wanted her BADLY.

Haleigh took a moment to fully explore her suite, familiarizing herself with the layout and making sure there were no surprises. She'd already short circuited every camera and listening device in the suite, and she placed a few guns in strategic places. You could never be too cautious. She knew there was a truce in effect but she couldn't be sure she wouldn't wake up with a power suppressor on.

The place was nice enough. Classy, but lacking personality, like a hotel suite, designed to compliment the most vague tastes. Open floor plan, bland colors. Haleigh sank into the psuedo living room area's plush leather couch, emitting a heavy sigh. She had a bad feeling about this situation.

Not because Sharon might defect; that she didn't care about. In fact, at this point in time, Haleigh felt that Sharon would be better suited amongst the Hellfire elite than she was at Melrose. Bloodthirsty and Sociopathic were Sharon's two main personality traits and that was what the Sisterhood was all about. Of course, that would be a loss of power for the Six, but it wasn't like Sharon was really that much of an asset ANYWAY. She loathed everyone and threatened to kill people daily, and she acted like they should consider themselves LUCKY that she deigned to attend training sessions and even full on EMERGENCIES couldn't get her to play nice. Even if Sharon WAS a true asset, Haleigh wouldn't ask her to stay for that reason alone. That would be akin to telling Sharon that ALL she was worth was her power set, and that the fact that she was an actual PERSON with independent thoughts and feelings didn't matter. Hey, Sharon, we don't like you and you don't like us, but don't leave, because then we'd be shorthanded. She scoffed to herself. Yeah, that's a shitty thing to pull. And then even if she DID, it wasn't like Sharon would listen to a word of it. Haleigh was the last person on EARTH that would be able to convince Sharon to do ANYTHING. She wasn't about to try ANYWAY. Leader of the team or NOT, Haleigh didn't feel she had ANY right to tell ANY of them what side to be on. That was a personal choice. Who Sharon made alliances with was SHARON'S decision, and no one elses.

No, Haleigh's sense of doom and gloom came from this green eyed mystery woman who wanted Haleigh and Sharon 'back'... and from the growing hunger she felt. It was more than a bad dream now, Malice had sensed it, and it was strong enough for her to comment on it. Thankfully, none of her teammates had reacted to Malice's attempt to provoke Haleigh with it. she didn't have to explain herself just yet. She didn't know how she'd try. It was bad enough to have to contend with the appetite itself right now. She couldn't remember the last time she ate. Had she even eaten today? She wanted some steak, and was concerned about the implications of that craving.

a visit in Haleigh's suite

Oh... so EAGER to cast Sharon aside? What would Morgan say? that IS her friend you know. Are you jealous of her because she's ALWAYS had more prominence and relevance than you and now as a mutate she's MORE POWERFULL than you? She knows you can't beat her, and so do you. She had your man, and she's having CAMERON even as I speak to you. Does that bother you? does that make you hate her more?

:: a blue "eeg" line effect flickers across Haleigh's vision horizon as Malice suddenly appears before her, in ASTRAL FORM which meant Malice was somewhere else in the hellfire catacombs watching haleigh and projecting this mental form to her. even in Astral Form, Malice could attack her victim, as Nicolas learned long ago.::

Even though you wear a new face :: referring to her body post INFERNO:: You are still the same ill mannered corn pone at your core.

:: Malice was aware that Black Widow had short circuited the surveilance in the suite.::

But it doesnt matter, our systems were designed with YOU in mind and are already recalibrating the cameras, and in spite of that, NOTHING you can do will keep ME from watching you at all times while you're a GUEST in the Hellfire Club.

:: Malice spoke with a smug, hostile tone as she reappeared in another spot within Haleigh's vision, this time laying out on the chaise lounge.::

What kind of leader, what kind of "FRIEND" are you? and how STUPID are your friends not to pick up on the FACT that you are a ticking time bomb? You're end is COMING, Haleigh. You know it. I know it...and even though the train is blaring its horn as it rushes toward your foolish friends...they are so busy hating on Sharon that they do not realize the REAL problem, the REAL danger is YOU.

Oh i can just see it now...the moment when you cease being an ineffective "Can opener" as Morgan once called you and START being a BIO HAZARD in FACT as well as in theory! How WONDERFULL it will be to watch and see which one of your friends will have the COURAGE to put you down before you end their lives. It will be more fun to WATCH than to even have a hand in it! :fdevil:

Tell me, Haleigh. What will you give back to Morgan when she returns? a BITE on the neck or some other part of her body? Will you even REMEMBER who she is or will you be consumed with the LUST for FLESH as only a ZOMBIE could be?

:: Malice was carefull NOT to use her psi powers to FORCE Haleigh to remember anything or FEEL anything (via her empathic powers) since that would constitute unwanted contact/action and violation of the truce but she could easily expose what Haleigh was already feeling and act as an UNRELENTING mirror::

It's coming Haleigh. SOONER rather than later. If ALISON were here, what would she say? what would she DO? Sharon may be a bitch, but she's REAL. you're FAKE. As FAKE as that BODY that now houses your toxic spirit.

When are you going to be HONEST with them? when you've entered the gates of doom and there's no way out? maybe you think so many of them will DIE in this caper that it wont matter what happens?

meanwhile

[ Sharon enjoyed herself thoroughly with Cameron. She let him "drive" but she gave him a WILD ride, one that made him WORK for every moment. She was in TIP TOP shape and near perfect feminine form thanks to her transformation into a mutate and her time with the Amazons and her sexual drive was quite ravenous. Robert Kelly and Gustav knew that quite well and now Cameron.]

[ She nearly devoured the man, leaving him DRAINED and definately exhausted while SHE was FINALLY satisfied! ;) ]

Now you see why they hate me. I'm good at being bad.

Power without consequence!

[Malice seemed to almost be there BESIDE HER, whispering it in her ear. maybe she WAS? Sharon didnt care.]

[ she said in an alluring, breathy tone as she lay beside Cameron, the satin sheets loosely twisted down her feminine form but she hardly bothered to cover herself. She DEFINATELY seemed to be AT HOME here. the changes in her and now this? Malice wouldnt have to work too hard to lure her to fulltime Hellfire status.]

Now then, what did you want to tell me? or was that just an excuse for you to come in here?

[ She said as she lifted her legs up in perfect form. as she enjoyed the large bed on which she lay in the dark suite. Soon after, she slipped out of the bed, wrapped in a silver mini robe silver high heeled pussy cat slides. over to the liquor cabinet she went to pour herself a vodka martini. ]

Oh and I trust now you realize that I don't kill ALL the men I sleep with.

[ a little black "widow" humour on the part of the mutate as she gulped down her drink and quickly poured herself another before moving across the suite and laying out on the chaise lounge.]

Help yourself to a drink while you're at it. but do me a favor...leave your clothes off.

[ she said with a knowing grin as she admired the view :fdevil: ]

Malice: Oh… so EAGER to cast Sharon aside?

Oh, just what Haleigh needed, a private chat with the woman mainly responsible for just about every flaming disaster that had ever happened to her. Haleigh glanced around her suite for Malice, but answered calmly.

"No, not cast her aside… I simply appreciate that she's a grown woman capable of making her own informed decisions. I'm not going to ENCOURAGE it, but if she feels she'd be better off abusing the Hellfire minions, who am I to dissuade her?"

Malice: What would Morgan say?

[smirking] "My opinions being what they are, Morgan would ask me to keep them to myself, which is EXACTLY what I intend to do."

Malice: That IS her friend you know.

"I know. Which is why Morgan would be in a much better position to ask Sharon to stay… but Morgan isn't around, and so I must do the best I can, and we'll all have to settle for the outcomes that brings."

Malice: Are you jealous of her because she's ALWAYS had more prominence and relevance than you and now as a mutate she's MORE POWERFUL than you are?

[simply] "No. I know YOU would never be able to grasp the concept, but to SOME people, being trusted, respected, and loved is much more important than being powerful, prominent, or relevant."

Malice: She had your man, and she's having Cameron even as I speak to you. Does that bother you?

The most miniscule change of expression flickers across Haleigh's face, a reaction that removes all traces of amusement from her countenance, and then returns to a blank, distant stare.

"Cameron's not mine. He never WAS. [a confessing smile] But it would be disingenuous for me to insist that the news doesn't affect me on some level, wouldn't it? [with a wink] It's not like I could get anything past YOU."

Malice: Does that make you hate her more?

"I don't hate her."

She replied, truthfully. She didn't understand Sharon, and she was continuously frustrated and incensed by Sharon's POOR decision-making and her apparent mental instability, but she didn't actually truly HATE Sharon. Malice appears in full view, and Haleigh turns to look at her with the slightest interest registering in her eyes. Malice, for all her [MANY] faults, kept Haleigh honest, and that was an ability to be given its due respect.

Malice: Even though you wear a new face, you are still the same ill mannered corn pone at your core.

"Oh come now, you know I've been exceptionally civilized tonight, especially for ME. I've gotten SO much better at interpersonal relations since last we met. For example, I'm being quite polite, despite the fact that the extent to which I LOATHE you very nearly causes my blood to BROIL."

Malice: But it doesn't matter, our systems were designed with YOU in mind and are already recalibrating the cameras, and in spite of that, NOTHING you can do will keep ME from watching you at all times while you're a GUEST in the Hellfire Club.

[smiling mischievously] "Now how could you respect me if I didn't TRY?"

Malice: What kind of leader, what kind of FRIEND are you?

"The WORST kind."

She sneered facetiously, sauntering over to the minibar and pouring herself a glass of red merlot.

Malice: and how STUPID are your friends not to pick up on the FACT that you are a ticking time bomb?

"It's not THEIR fault. I can be very secretive, you know. I've given them no cause for concern."

Malice: Your end is COMING, Haleigh. You know it. I know it… and even though the train is blaring its horn as it rushes towards your foolish friends… they are so busy hating on Sharon that they do not realize the REAL problem, the REAL danger is YOU.

[determinedly] "I can fight it. I would NEVER knowingly put them in danger. I have myself under control."

Malice: Oh i can just see it now...the moment when you cease being an ineffective "Can opener" as Morgan once called you and START a BIO HAZARD in FACT as well as in theory! How WONDERFULL it will be to watch and see which one of your friends will have the COURAGE to put you down before you end their lives. It will be more fun to WATCH than to even have a hand in it!

"I'm sure EACH of them is adequately capable of neutralizing ANY threat I may eventually pose. They were never hesitant to stand up to me in the past, when the need arose."

She believed it, but she hoped then none of them would ever have to carry the guilt that would follow the taking of her life… because Haleigh knew all of them well enough to know they would FEEL guilty, even if they were justified in killing her. Except Sharon. Sharon would be fine with it. Haleigh hoped Sharon would take the initiative. There was no reason to believe she wouldn't as long as she were present.

Malice: Tell me, Haleigh. What will you give back to Morgan when she returns? A BITE on the neck or some other part of her body? Will you even REMEMBER who she is or will you be consumed with the LUST for FLESH as only a ZOMBIE could be?

"I have it under control."

She repeated, taking a long, slow sip from her glass.

Malice: It's coming Haleigh. SOONER rather than later.

"Oh, I'm sorry, did you fail to mention that you'd become a PRECOG recently? No? well then, why don't you leave the ominous, vague foreshadowing up to Alison? She does it so much more convincingly than you."

Malice: If ALISON were here, what would she say?

"Probably that you're dangerously close to a violation of the truce in your passive/aggressive attempts to push me towards a psychological break."

Malice: Sharon may be a bitch, but she's REAL. you're FAKE. As FAKE as that BODY that now houses your toxic spirit.

[rolling her eyes] "Oh now you're just grasping at straws to try and hurt my feelings. This body may not have been ORIGINALLY mine, and it may have been objectionably obtained, but it's MINE NOW and technically speaking, it's a One Hundred Percent GENUINE reanimated formerly human cadaver."

Malice: When are you going to be HONEST with them? when you've entered the gates of doom and there's no way out?

"There's no need to worry them unnecessarily. IF I feel it's important to bring it to their attention, then I will. Nicolas knows, and for now, that will be enough. He is closely monitoring my management of the issue."

Nicolas sighed at the mention of Sharon and their relationship. he decided to tell Isis what happened.

Delilah, Haleigh and Sharon are having issues they are complicated but deep. As a member of the team dealing with the dynamic is a complete mess. In the end, I have been trying to reach out to Sharon and be understanding while asking her, begging her to at least be able to work with the others so as to preserve our effectiveness in situations like this. We had a training and she completely disrupted it, would not participate and essentially threatened Delilah and Haleigh instead of working on the task as hand. I tersely informed her that she needed to participate or leave, and that she would not be allowed to simply disrupt the session and that she could be removed if need be. Harsh...perhaps. But not unlike our family in its directness.

She responded by assaulting me with her sonic scream and essentially trashing a multimillion-dollar facility. And she thinks I took their side when the fact was, I was trying to have a training session, trying to preserve the team dynamic. It seems that no matter what I do, someone wants me to side with THEM and if I don't because I believe them in the wrong, they want to feel betrayed. I can apologize if her feelings were hurt by my approach, but she was wrong for her actions. If she felt she could not work with the others, she could have stayed home.

Nicolas' statement was matter-of-fact. He was not SHOCKED by the idea of Sharon going to the Hellfire Club. She was in some measure already living the life of power without consequences.

I do not fear Set. and just as he laughs...i WAIT. He knows THAT. I am the gate keeper he must pass and so he can laugh all he wishes...from the oblivion that I condemned him too.

For now...if only these last few hours of night...try to make it easier for me to see you as my sister's son rather than the offspring of your monster father...I have not asked much of you, but you OWE ME this much.

I shall show you to your quarters.

Nicolas walked with Dominique as she led him to his quarters, having a conversation that was pleasant in tone.

I will try my best Dominique. I would ask...if you can...I would prefer that any issue we need to tend to be done in private. I am strong enough and indeed willing to accept correction from you, but it is not seemly for Malice to derive pleasure from the evolution of our relationship. I am not asking for a public lovefest, but just some dignity for our family dynamic and our past as we move forward. Our mental "channel" is secure and appropriate in my opinion.

As the reached the doorway to his suite, she started to warm him about Enchantrah but stopped. He smiled at her sweetly.

I know...thanks for being willing to look out for me. I will remain here as you ask. See you in the morning.

Nicolas closed the door and looked around. The room was AWASH in surveillance equipment. He could also "hear" Haleigh being taunted by Malice, but he let it be. He levitated into a relaxed position and meditated. The white knight, as Cameron liked to put it, was not in the mood.

Wow.

That was all that Cameron could think as he lay in the darkness, the bed sheet covering his body. Sharon Kelly was probably the closest thing to a real life "succubus" if there ever was one. The experience had been one of passion and hunger, and just when he thought she was fully satisfied, she came back for more. He liked that in a woman. ;)

Sharon: Power without consequence!

Now, he remembered what he came here for, what he needed to explain to Sharon. That The Hellfire Club never was or could be an option for her. Getting her to listen would be another story altogether as she seemed almost DRUNK in the atmosphere of the Hellfire Club and the idea of leaving the Six for good.

Sharon: Now then, what did you want to tell me? or was that just an excuse for you to come in here?

"Well, if these are any indication of future visits, I'll be see very often in the future..."

She made her way to the bar in a small and revealing silver mini robe and poured herself a drink, before downing it and pouring herself another.

Sharon: Help yourself to a drink while you're at it. but do me a favor... leave your clothes off!

He rolled and eyes and smiled.

"Is that all I am to you? Some SEX OBJECT?"

[pondering]

"I guess that's okay."

Cameron lept from the bed and made his way over to the bar, pouring himself a glass of Scotch. It was a little old school, but dignified, and it just felt right. He took a long and savory swig.

"You know what this is about, Sharon. This place, those women. You're not like them..."

He moved a little closer to her.

"I know you like the idea of this place.. very much so. It's intoxicating to most. Status, power, no responsibility, no alleigance to anyone. Who wouldn't want that when you do what The Six does.."

[tracing his finger around the brim of his glass]

"but that.. that's all an illusion now isn't? Power without Consequence as you put it? Look at Helena and Diana now. No matter what their status here, that virus.. the virus THEY helped get out to the general population could kill thousands. It could even kill them, or me, or you.. All because two power hungry women thought they could move about life with no moral compass, no necessity for grief.. or even emotion."

[taking another swig]

"You come off as this hard and uncaring woman, but I call your bluff. You DO want to help people, otherwise you wouldn't be WITH the Six. You can say all you want about staying on behalf of Morgan or Alison, or anyone else for that matter, or for any OTHER reason, but we BOTH know, that you don't stay where you don't want to be, but I guess.. I really just want to pick your brain. Why the Hellfire Club? Why leave the Six? And don't bullshit me about Haleigh and Delilah because I have a feeling you WON'T like Diana or Helena either. Some people don't get along. Some people don't like each other, but SOME people realize that at the end of the day, it doesn't matter. At the end of the day, you have something greater to accomplish. And so you do it..."

Cameron took another long sip of scotch, finishing it off before pouring himself another glass.

"I guess that's just what's going through MY head... but.. i'd LIKE to know where your head is at."

He reached across the bar and tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear. Would she be angry? Would she be honest? Cameron never knew what he was going to get with Sharon, but he was HOPING that he could find SOMETHING he could say to help her along her path of deciding to stay with the Six.

Hellfire catacombs

[ Sharon ran her hand and flawlessly manicured silver colored fingernails through her blonde, silver streaked hair as Cameron poured himself a drink and then came near, admonishing her to resist the temptation of the Hellfire Club. He was so earnest, almost CONVINCING, but then she thought about those bitches...those holier than thou bimbos, Haleigh and Delilah. they were probably HOPING she'd leave. Jealous ho's! For all the care that Cameron showed, Sharon couldnt help but feel a bit "put upon" by his efforts. Just think how this could have helped someone who NEEDED it when they were being..."tempted."]

Where were you when the serpent supposedly tempted EVE?

[ She said with a casual attitude as she yawned and then reached out, pushing Cameron away lightly but with just enough of her strength to send him falling back into a chair directly across from the chaise lounge she reclined in.]

I'm a grown woman, Cameron. I can make my own descisions. Don't you want me to be HAPPY?

[ she says as she hurls her goblet into the fire place near by. the fire swells a bit from the remaining alcohol in the goblet as it crashes in and sharon turns on her back as she lays across the lounge before turning her head to the side to look at Cameron.]

You're missing something important here. This isnt an offer for me to join the SISTERHOOD. As bad as it might seem to some of THEM [Haleigh, Nicolas and Delilah], this is Malice simply acknowledging the FACT that I had Hellfire member status as the widow of Robert Kelly. I USED that status to get The Six entrance into the Hellfire Club shortly after I returned from Themyscria when they were not yet aware of Dominique and trying to solve the mystery of a series of murders.

This may be my chance to FINALLY enjoy myself. I wont be someone's wife...someone's paramour...someone's "mother figure"...I wont be apart of a team that is no longer to my liking due to the two faced hypocrates that are in it. I can finally do what i want! If I'm tempted by ANYTHING...its the idea of FREEDOM! Freedom from the fake politics that plagues this group. I didnt like this kind of crap when I was a senator on the Hill, and I don't like it now.

[ She turns back on her side, looking at Cameron with a softer expression on her face now.]

Cameron, all I want is to be happy and I don't think I can have that with this team. I'd like to stay...maybe...if for no other reason than the fact that I want to see Morgan, Alison and Firebird when they return. THOSE were my friends from the beginning...and even though Firebird is a crosstime alternate of Blaze, she reached out to me, treated me as she had HER timeline's version of me and they were apparently close. Why is it that when all three of them left, these two bitches decided to show just how fake and phony they are? It's like they FORGOT all that i did for them BEFORE I became the Silver Swan.

[ she shakes her head.]

Don't bother to answer. It doesnt matter. All that matters to ME is that I find a place where I can be MYSELF without some judgemental bimbos trying to look down on me or exclude me. Who are THEY to tell ME how I should "Behave" as if I was a CHILD? I was a MOTHER before EITHER of them were on the cusp of woman hood. I've lived and seen more than EITHER of them even BEFORE I became a mutate. Am i supposed to TOLERATE their arrogance and insolence?

Cameron, joining the Hellfire Club would simply be me taking advantage of what is rightfully mine as the widow of Robert Kelly. Malice KILLED him, and took my son from me. Even though I closed the book on my son's damnation...I just dont feel FULLFILLED anymore with this team.

[Cameron continued to make a valid argument. He seemed AWFULLY sharp and clear minded for a man who had just had his endurance TESTED beyond what he could have expected when he was with Sharon. But Sharon really was impressed by him...prooving that he wasnt JUST Alison's baby brother and that he had MATURED beyond the slimey playboy tycoon he was when she FIRST met him several years ago. He cared, and so she would at least do him the courtesy of keeping it real in her responses. She hoped he would listen to her, what she said, how she FELT.]

Diana and Helena along with Dominique are the Queens of the Hellfire Club. There's no denying that, but my taking on my membership fulltime doesnt mean they'll even ASK me into their Inner Circle or one of their individual courts. Diana and Helena know where I stand on BOTH of them and this isnt 20 years ago. A) I dont have anymore family for them to take from me. B) they could never quite succeed in killing me BEFORE i was a mutate and NOW that i am? They can DEFINATELY forget it. I've fought Malice before and she knows that I am not to be trifled with. But you know what? inspite of who t hey are and what they've done? AT LEAST they keep it real. Neither Diana nor Helena has a SAINT complex like Delilah, who thinks she's Jesus come down from the cross; and is there anyone who is as much of a TRAIN WRECK as Haleigh? and then there's Nicolas. Who seems to think they NEED his protection. He betrayed ME to them! That, to me, is UNFORGIVABLE. He's ANOTHER reason why I want to leave.

[ Sharon sits up, swinging her legs around as she now faces Cameron directly.]

You're right...beneath the surface...there is a woman with a heart...and FEELINGS...but have any of them CARED about that? No. They dont care about me, so why should I care about them? I'd rather be ALONE than unhappy, Cameron. NONE of them, with the exception of Ava has even BOTHERED to talk to me with any kind of respect. Ask me HOW i feel...

With the Hellfire Club, at least I will be able to AMUSE myself and if there comes a time I no longer wish to be an ACTIVE member, then I can always leave.....return to Themyscria, visits Alison at Minerva's Mansion...something...ANYTHING other than THIS...[being on this current team with Haleigh, Delilah & Nicolas]

[ getting up, she takes a few steps toward Cameron.]

You wanted me to be honest, so I was. Right now? I am comfortable with making the switch from the Six to the Hellfire Club. and I'll guarantee you that NONE OF THEM will care.

[ she looks at him, if there was a moment of uncertainty in her silver eyes, or her mind during their talk, it had evaporated and was replaced with bitterness toward her team and anticipation toward a life with "power without consequence".]

I'm going to take a shower in the bath chamber...it wont be long before we have to meet up again with the Sisterhood.

[ she walks past him and places her hand on his shoulder.]

I promise you, if this is my last caper with this group, I'll give it my all. But i refuse to try to lead people that I can't stand. Let Haleigh do it...she wants to be at the center of everything and every man on this team anyway.

Oh and I'll do my part to help save the world...and i'll especially make sure nothing happens to you.

[ she winks as she ties her hair up into a bun having used her power over her physical form to turn her silver robe into a silver ribbon to tie her hair up with. she was now fully nude once again as she makes her way into the luxurious shower chamber to refresh her body.]

Sharon: And where were you when the serpent supposedly tempted EVE?

Cameron laughed and rolled his eyes.

"Honey, I was probably on Team Serpent back then..."

She pushed him back, sending him into a chair opposite of her. He had seen a much tender side of Sharon earlier, almost forgetting the strength she possessed.

Sharon: I'm a grown woman, Cameron. I can make my own decisions. Don't you want me to be HAPPY?

"The Hellfire Club isn't happiness, Sharon. You know that. It's a means to an end."

Sharon cast her goblet into the fire as Cameron furrowed his brow. When he looked at Sharon, he did see the good in her, the potential, but sometimes that got in the way of seeing how truly unstable of a woman she was. She had pretty much been cast into this life without much of a choice, and she was still very angry about it all. She may have spent time with the Amazons but she was far from being "healed".

Sharon:You're missing something important here.

Cameron pursed his lips as he stood from his chair.

"I'm not saying you'll be invited to the Sisterhood. All I am saying is don't be surprised if you find yourself in a situation FAR worse than what you endured in your first "death". THAT is a reality, Sharon. You aren't merely being extended the idea of your membership. You didn't like when that mystery woman earlier called you an asset to be reclaimed, and to DIANA, that is what you'll be. Signing on fulltime status with the Hellfire Club is putting you in the belly of the very beast you spent your entire term as SENATOR fighting."

He finished his second drink and set it down on the bar.

"And not that I don't think you aren't a VERY capable woman, because I know you are, but if you were to have something horrible happen, have something you COULDN'T control happen, something out of your hands, WHO, Sharon, WHO do you think would try to help you? Regardless of whether or not they LIKED you, whether or not they HATED you, it would be the SIX."

He paused for a moment. His sister may have been the team precog, but Cameron's abilities had far exceeded their past potential in his time away, he was beginning to see more than one possible timeline of the future. If he focused correctly, his "visions" could give him insight on decisions those around him were planning to make. Sad thing was, in most of the timelines or probabilities he saw in his head, Sharon WOULD take the Hellfire Club up on their offer, but the one HE was clinging to, was the one where she stayed.

Sharon: Cameron, all I want is to be happy and I don't think I can have that with this team.

"Sharon, I want you to be happy too. And I admit, what you're doing now, is not living, it's not working, i'll give you that. But maybe YOU forget the Haleigh and Delilah that fought tooth and nail to save you in the first place. Regardless of what you think their feelings are now, they saved you, because they cared about you. You were.. ARE a great woman. The things you did for your country and for people like me (a mutant) ARE worth a damn, and they know that. You are a part of this family, however disfunctional it may be. I won't go any further than that, suffice to say that their own opinions and thoughts are THEIR own, as well as are yours. However, I do believe that they care about you, they are just worried and concerned that they can't help you with whatever you're going through. Delilah and Haleigh are good people, two of the BEST and I would lay down my LIFE for them in a heartbeat, and I hope, coming from ME, that THAT means something to you."

Sharon: Cameron, joining the Hellfire Club would simply be me taking advantage of what is rightfully mine as the widow of Robert Kelly. Malice KILLED him, and took my son from me. Even though I closed the book on my son's damnation...I just dont feel FULLFILLED anymore with this team.

He let out a concerned sigh. It seemed Sharon had already made her decision. It wasn't okay. It wasn't what he wanted to hear, but he KNEW he couldn't force Sharon to be where she didn't want to be.

"Sharon..."

She went on and on. Cameron felt as if she was more or less having this conversation with herself, as if she was talking herself into this more and more. She began to walk past him, uncertainty in her eyes and the weight of everything on her shoulders, though she did that very well.

Sharon: You wanted me to be honest, so I was. Right now? I am comfortable with making the switch from the Six to the Hellfire Club. and I'll guarantee you that NONE OF THEM will care.

"I'll care..."

Sharon: I'm going to take a shower in the bath chamber...it wont be long before we have to meet up again with the Sisterhood.

Her hand was now on his shoulder, which gave him a weird yet strangely comforting feeling. He felt safe with Sharon, which hadn't happened to him in a long time. He wanted to protect her. He wanted to HOLD her and just let her... cry it all out or something, but she wouldn't and he couldn't let her. She needed to figure this out on her own, he guessed.

Sharon: I promise you, if this is my last caper with this group, I'll give it my all. But i refuse to try to lead people that I can't stand. Let Haleigh do it...she wants to be at the center of everything and every man on this team anyway. Oh and I'll do my part to help save the world...and i'll especially make sure nothing happens to you.

He smiled, and placed his hand over hers for a moment, hoping, he didn't know, she might feel something that would change her mind. It was at times like these he WISHED he had the nature of Malice within him, that he could just mind control all of the Six into getting along and forgetting all past pains, but he couldn't DARE.

"Well, Sharon.. don't say I didn't try."

He watched her walk over to the shower, completely naked. She was a force and he feared that perhaps this moment of almost tranquility between them would be one of Sharon Kelly's last. He felt a little defeated.

"I'm going to go shower as well, as much as i'd like to stay and sud you up, i'll leave you to your thoughts. And Sharon..."

His astral form appeared Sharon as she was now in the bathroom.

"I had a great time.."

His astral form winked before evaporating as Cameron gathered his clothes and headed towards the door, still conflicted in his thoughts on what to do. Perhaps Alison always had it harder than he gave her credit for. He missed her very badly at this moment, but such is life, and Cameron knew that now, he needed to be an ADULT, to stand on his own, to prove his value and worth to this team without leaving, getting capture, tortured, or running to the side of his sister. The door closed with a resounding click and Cameron was gone from Sharon's and back in his own quarters.

Hellfire- goodnight

"I have it under control."

:: Malice REAPPEARS along side Haleigh, leaning down and speaking close to her ear.::

Isn't that what you said...what you believed before NICOLAS became the raging MONSTER in his father's image? Isn't that what you thought when you lost Sharon, Morgan and Alison in the span of ONE MONTH?

You're idea of CONTROL leaves MUCH to be desired...but don't take MY word for it. Just everyone whose managed to survived the disasters you presided over!

Hmm well, I'll leave you now. Who knows how many more nights you will have as a human being before you wind up becoming a monster, just like Set Jr. Let me know how that "control" works out for you then.

:: and with that, Malice vanishes. leaving Haleigh to be with her own thoughts. The White Queen was MORE than on to her. Haleigh was definately having a problem, one that would develope into a more serious CRISIS sooner rather than later but the real surprise was that Malice actually had a course of action that MIGHT proove to be essential to Haleigh somehow surviving. One that ONLY she could pull off. Harbinger had seen the WISDOM in working with Malice during the crisis of Set. Would Haleigh realize that Malice's vast power, prowess and experience as a telepath/empath might somehow help her in THIS crisis?::

:: But even in Malice's helping hand, there was ALWAYS a scorpion's sting. Following their triumph over Set, Malice and Enchantrah QUICKLY outed Haleigh and Nicolas' torrid affair in Set's lair ENSURING that their secret would be known to Morgan and the rest of the team. the fallout from that had devastated the team for MONTHS afterward. even NOW the haunting echos of that still whispered in the some of the minds and subconscious of members of t he team most affected by it.::

and so

<< With so much going on within the Hellfire Catacombs, the first appearence of the mysterious green eyed woman seemed almost peripheral. No doubt SHE wouldnt have wanted it that way but the Sisterhood and the Six had much going on between them as well as among their individual groups.>>

<< Nicolas found that talking with his aunt was much easier this time round and that was a good thing for him because they would NEED a magick user, a healer among them on the upcoming caper. Still, just as Malice was not so subtlely campaigning for Sharon to leave the Six, Isis was beginning to doubt the Six being a HEALTHY dynamic for her nephew if for no other reason than the possibility of SET returning through some undue mental stress. He was still learning the discipline and she was not convinced he was far enough along yet. She informed him that he may HAVE to leave the Six for his own good.>>

<< Sharon seemed to enjoy herself far more than anyone should have on a night like this, but she didnt care. Cameron had managed to satisfy her to HER satisfaction and then gave his best effort to explain to her why joining the Hellfire Club FULL TIME was not the best move. She passionately disagreed, but beyond her immediate instinct to flee the Six and the people whom she couldnt stand, she felt on a deeper level that he may have been more RIGHT than she wanted to admit. Still, it was her choice...and she had to do what was best for her. Whatever path she took she'd always remember Cameron for the care and genuine concern he showed...and for being a rather capable lover.>>

<< and even as Cameron "loved" Sharon, Haleigh was forced to be HONEST as she was confronted/TAUNTED by Malice for the evening. The White Queen had a way of seeing THROUGH Haleigh's facade in a way that few others could. There was a problem, one that would proove to be deeply linked to the looming threat forming for them all. Haleigh was suffering in ways that Malice could plainly "see" and had NO problem confronting Haleigh with. How long before Haleigh became a "liability" as Delilah would say? How long before SHE became as big a problem...and WORSE an issue than Sharon was deemed by Delilah? As the blood flowed through Haleigh's veins...as the cells did stream...with every heart beat she had...she was coming closer and closer to a fate that she really didnt want but was inevitable.>>

<< Delilah continued hold fast against Malice's lashing, but the truth was that she was FAR from immune. Malice called her out for being the judgemental hypocrate that Sharon had BEEN accussing her of. It was easy for her to dismiss Malice because Malice was "EVIL" and yet, in doing that, she was PROOVING her point. As Evil as Malice (and perhaps Sharon) were...they kept it REAL. But no matter what anyone thought, Delilah was prepared to do whatever it took to save as many lives as possible from the threat of this virus and whoever was behind its recent return. Would she be strong enough to deal with the emerging threat from WITHIN her own team? She didnt realize that it wasnt from SHARON...it was from HALEIGH. She prooved Malice's point...even with someone WARNING them (in her own special way) they STILL didnt heed the warning. It was like they had FORGOTTEN the hard lessons learned from ignoring HARBINGER'S warnings. So eager were they to deny and dismiss Malice's words because of who she was...that they didnt see that she was actually doing them a FAVOR. >>

<< and then there was Ava, who kept it cool. calm and collective but where her sister was concerned, she'd already prooven how utterly UNobjective she could be. What would SHE do when things became more clear? She shared with Isis, the benefit of a SLIGHT removal from some of the aspects of what was developing, but that would only last for so long.>>

<< for them all, as the threat comes into focus...with the glow of green eyes...haunting reminders of events, traumas and mistakes from the past flash through their minds, and across their memories. the gift of survival, lessons learned and hopefully being ready for the "next time"....all of those things were going to be put to the test as certain things, people and NIGHTMARES came BACK.>>

<< and so we watch.>>
