This week, we will kick these discussions off with the very beginning of The Six, including the first four playing threads:

The Nightmare Begins
Return to Illustra
Dinner and Despair
Escape to Illustra

(Summaries are available in The Six Guide.)

So, this week was the building up to the events of The Citadel. We got to meet our characters, see what they think of each other (not much), and the core problem was introduced to bring them together as a group: Adam Chandler and Christopher Victory were working with MysTech and holding Blaze Fielding captive. Oh, and Black is also alive. As Alison says, "To think...the fate of the entire city...possibly the state rests in the hands of such pathetic self absorbed creatures.”

Some possible jumping off points for discussion (feel free to answer some or none of these):

 • How were the characters different than they are now?
 • What would you have done if you were Eva Valentine, the "Outsider" of the group?
 • Which character has changed the least?
 • Which character has changed the most?
 • For those that were there, how would you have played your character differently if you could rewrite the story?
 • Do you like the characters better as enemies or friends?
 • What was your favorite thing about this group of threads?
 • What did you learn by re-reading that you didn't remember?

Feel free to add your own comments and pose questions to the others. Discuss!

How were the characters different than they are now?

Oh man! Night and day! All of The Six outside of Haleigh is pretty terrible. I cringe at reading Cameron's posts. Specifically his comments to his hispanic limo driver. Yuck. What a douche that Cameron King was..And he treated Vivica pretty poorly. Well everyone poorly.

Morgan Victoria is INSANE! She's very bi-polar in these threads. I miss Blaze! I'll KILL YOU ALL! Oh, I'm so sad...GET OUT OF MY WAY! There is a vulnerability and a little more sanity that Morgan has now that is just NOT there in these threads. And it eerily shows a bit of foreshadowing as how CLOSE Morgan was to "The Inferno" and how easy it was for Cameron and Haleigh to drive her there.

Alexis, I really liked. Obviously she betrayed the team later on, but here I enjoy her. I especially liked her interview with Morgan where she just FLAT OUT was like "Are you a mutant witch or not? And let me be CLEAR about how I am defining those words so you can't weasel your way out of the question!" That was really good

Haleigh? I mean she is just consistent. From day one, she has been Haleigh, and no matter what she has gone through, while she is far more vulnerable these days, her "essence" is still there and it's become apparent after reading these threads. I miss the days of Haleigh and Morgan's bickering because she really went TOE to TOE with her in a way that none of the rest dared or could.

What would you have done if you were Eva Valentine, the "Outsider" of the group?

I feel like her not being here now is for the best, she just seems disjointed from the others, but then again maybe that was just a lack of cohesiveness. She kind of had to be forced along for the ride, and I don't know it just didn't work. She had a lot of cards stacked against her as EVERY OTHER CHARACTER at that point had already met or had something going on. She really didn't..

Which character has changed the least?

Again.. I am going to say Haleigh. While she is more vulnerable and reflective, she remains largely unchanged. She still gets the job done, has the know how, the technology and the biting wit. She is really one of the most constant characters.

Which character has changed the most?

I mean... Three Way Tie... Morgan, Cameron and Alison. All of these characters have underwent EXTREME transformations. And to see how Morgan is in the CURRENT storyline as opposed to how "lonewolf/power bitch" she is in THESE threads is incredible? Alison was still being developed in these stages if I remember correctly, and we weren't very sure what to think of her, to see her right THEN and to know what happens to her and where she is now? Incredible. And Cameron is so incredibly unlikeable in these threads that I now understand Morgan later RIPPING his skeleton out of his body after encasing him in a tomb of amber. The CURRENT storyline? Cameron is like a completely different person. Essentially...being a LEADER which is definitely something we've never seen him do. He has an awareness about him that has changed his entire character, an THAT has been really satisfying to play and see develop.

For those that were there, how would you have played your character differently if you could rewrite the story?

I would have made Cameron less of a racist asshole, and maybe added a little finesse. He just seemed so inept about so many things, and I just relied so much on his powers and being this business man. He just didn't have much depth. I would have played the meeting between Morgan and Cameron differently, and had more of a fun back and forth, and I would have had him pursue Alexis far more aggressively.

Do you like the characters better as enemies or friends?

I mean, it's obviously a lot of fun to play enemies, but even THAT gets tiring. I mean, here we see Haleigh essentially handing Morgan her sister on a silver platter and Morgan is like so ridiculously insulting and aggressive towards her?! I have to say, putting to rest all the bitching barbs and insanity that made the characters almost literally unable to work together has been nice..but that's not to say I don't love when two characters in the Main Roster hate each other...because I really do.

What was your favorite thing about this group of threads?

As a reader, it's made me see just HOW far The Six has come. Every character now is so developed and in terms of the writing, it's just on a HIGHER level now. As a player, it just makes me smile. It was just such a moment in time...and seeing 2005 in all of those posts? Oh man! I mean for EIGHT years now, we've been doing this and we are STILL coming up with shit to do. It's just great to revisit the feeling we all had when we started this.

What did you learn by re-reading that you didn't remember?

I love learning anything about the history of MysTech so that's always been really fascinating to me when I learn a tidbit I didn't know or had forgotten. I forgot that Adam wasn't Alexis' ACTUAL father. I forgot that Clandestine was the one offering Karen Victoria protection. I mean.. well now I can't think of anything lol. But I would say all the small backstory stuff about people that sometimes got lost in the grand scheme of the story.

Well to be fair, Morgan WAS functionally INSANE...this was set to have began maybe 2 years after the final battle between Valiant & the Axis of Evil ;)
I love that we get to see the flashbacks to Black - he is like the coolest villaint o me, even though we haven't gotten to see THAT much of him. But his name just instills so much fear into Morgan that it's captivating.

Morgan was so HARD, but at the same time you could see that she really loved her sister.

There were also some really good entrances for the characters in their "super" form. Spellbinder arriving for the first time, and Alison saving Cameron. Just very visual things to read.

What a douche that Cameron King was..And he treated Vivica pretty poorly.

See I disagree with you. I love the journey Cameron has had to the present, but I really like Cameron this way. Cameron was so CHEEKY (just like the person who plays him). He had some of the best one-liners and I think it really shows how much he CARES for Vivica. Like he might have disdain for everyone else in the world, but if she's in danger he's going to find her and make her safe. She's his lifeline. At least that was how I read it.

Lexi was just so good as Haleigh, even then. And I mean no offense, but EVERYONE has come so far in their writing but you can see how much talent Lexi had from the beginning. I loved that Haleigh recognized Morgan from Valiant, and that it was like Haleigh putting the team together, which I don't think I realized is how it happened until rereading this time. Also it was so chilling to hear Haleigh talk about the TO virus, knowing what we know happens later. It was weird to see her with OTHER powers.

And I agree with you - Eva Valentine just didn't fit in. Which I think is a shame because her power set would have been really fun to play. In some ways I think Persephone ended up being what Eva could have been had she been played as powerful as she really was.

Alison started out as a supporting character. I mean, it's still a while before she even gets her own user account lol. But we started to all like her which made Jill bring her in more and more. I know in the early days Alison was my favorite character. What was interesting to me reading these threads, I felt like in the VERY beginning Alison had the personality that Firebird has. EVERYONE was so incredibly bitchy, but Alison and Morgan were sweet to each other. Then by the Return to Illustra thread, Alison has the personality that we see today.

I didn't remember that Karen was the one who introduced Alison to Morgan, and I found that interesting.

I found it interesting how the characters seemed to each have been designed to have their powers be able to foil the other characters'. And each character has their "thing": Haleigh licks her lips, Spellbinder has the flawless legs and double highlighted hair, Cameron kept being referred to as "The Prophet", Alexis had a thing about being called a mutant, Alison has the blue/black hair.

My question to the players is: how "out" were mutants at this time? Because it seems like there are a lot of rumors floating around about Morgan and others. How much do regular people know?

Also, did you know at this time that Cameron and Alison would eventually be brother and sister? I thought it was really interesting reading it knowing that they were related.

So, the FIRST thing i notice (& forgot after so much time having passed) is that ORACLE was not around then to narrate or guide the stories. i am SO glad I created "Oracle" was a "watcher" and narrator for the six

I really had to do ALOT of "driving" in my posts w/ Morgan back then & reading it now sometimes detracts from other wise raw and brutal moments that Morgan (& Alison) were famous for.

As i read through these first few threads, I remember how when I started this game, I definitely was picking up with Morgan's life in the AFTERMATH of the horror she endured w/ Valiant, a rpg that I did on another board w/ Heather (Foxfire).

The Six is a spinoff of Valiant but in the years that have passed, we have managed to tie the Six's timeline to MoE as well - starting from the moment Spellbinder made a brief cameo in MoE(when we were still on CB) during the storyline where Black crossed into MoE timeline to attack Darkchilde.

I read through these threads and I see how cold and robotic Alison was. Morgan WAS definitely INSANE but in my mind, that was to be expected after what happend to her in Valiant- the team that took her granted & often mocked her, learning that Blaze was in fact her sister, only to lose her to Black, who turned out to be a creature sent after them by her father. She nearly lost her arm and her life....she went through hell during her final days with Valiant and so in this first story of the Six, she's definiately a walking TRAIN WRECK who reflexively relies on the things about herself that she's always considered to be her STRENGTHS...her ball busting, bitchy persona; her POWER & the willingness to use it to LETHAL extents to protect herself or hold threats at bay; her fashion empire, Illustra.

HALEIGH, who had a horrible life (as we would learn) herself, does a much better job of keeping it together, as she would ALWAYS do as the game progresses. But Haleigh was a woman who was much more in tuned with the "darkness" of the world. The "underside" of things. Where as Morgan was lofty and often was (or perceived herself to be) removed from many things due to her life in Illustra & her status as a witch. I REALLY have to give it to Jessica Hamby. She may have been the strongest player out the gate when this Game/story began. For ME...it had been probably 2-3 yrs since i rp'ed on a board & i can see that i was a bit "rusty" in some of my posting style.

I didn't initially intend for Morgan to be so BLOODTHIRSTY...but it just flowed when this story was unfolding & i thought it worked so i went with it. Looking back on it now though...I can't believe how VIOLENT she was!

Alison and Haleigh, from the BEGINNING had more in common than they realized but on some level they must have seen each other as direct rivals and THREATS which is why Alison was so brutal, using her precognition and other powers to set up Haleigh (and Cameron) to DIE on more than one occassion.

Harbinger TODAY would not do this to a friend. She would consider it unethical...(unless of course it was BISHOP :D ) but back THEN??? ANYONE who threatened her or morgan was a target. Alison had little tolerance for anyone she perceived as weak or uneducated and you can tell that's what she felt about Cameron. I can read her posts back here & see that she was alternately astonished or INFURIATED by Haleigh, but again...i think those two had much in common even before they understaood that.

Alexis and Cameron come across as "BIG FISH in a small pond"...both were obviously dominant in their career fields & were accustomed to going unchallenged or unchecked. Of all the original Six, these two were the LEAST aware of the supernatural or looming threats around them. They hadn't been on a "team" like Morgan or the military (or something beyond) like Haleigh. Alexis was amusing here- especially w/ her alcoholic tendencies and her obtuse, often intrusive comments. I look at Alexis...and i DEFINITELY read and FEEL "SOAP OPERA DIVA" lol! that's not a bad thing! Sam said to me a long time ago that soaps were where she drew alot of her inspiration for her character play & it shows. Alexis was a MESS but it was in a way that only a soap opera character can pull off. She could still get serious & get things done if she had to.

but Cameron was IMMEDIATELY "THE ONE TO HATE" for me. He just REEKED of wreckless arrogance & an almost pathological drive to be cruel, intolerant and antagonistic. as far as game play goes....he was immediately on a collision course w/ Spellbinder, who was JUST AS MUCH of a "red alert" when it came to anti-social, if not psychotic behavior LOL! Cameron disrespected EVERYONE...whether it was his driver, Morgan, Alison or even ORORO. I think the FIRST person in the six to really put him in his place and he actually shut his mouth was Karen when she first fully appeared in the Six.

the only thing more DEADLY than these individuals was the force that drove them together to survive-Mystech!

I agree w/ Brandon that "Eva Valentine a.k.a. Tempest" was the character we never really got to see unfold and find her space. The fact that she was the "outsider" was part of her draw...but she was starting to shift towards Alison which pissed Cameron and Haleigh off tremendously- as they were actively looking for new recruits to their "Alison and Morgan are snobby bitches and we hate them" party LOL :haha: She predates persephone as the Six's "elemental" and we'll always wonder how she could have grown as a character and in the use of her powers and what kind of connections she would have made w/ her other fledgling team mates.

Inspite of all the major tension and strife amongst the characters, i think it was all organic & happened pretty much the way it should b/c again, w/ this game being conceived as a spin-off of the game where spellbinder and foxfire first originated, picking up in the immediate aftermath of a horrific tragedy for Spell that had left her a complete MESS, i think it wouldve been LESS intriguing & twisted if everyone around Spell were now so well adjusted & looking @ going "oh poor baby" trying to help her.

The fact that everyone was pretty much @ everyone else's throat while Mystech was trying to crush them ALL was what i liked :D

As to the question of how "out" Mutants were @ this time. Well...in Valiant, which was based in LONDON, mutants were out & government sanctioned. it was the government, responding to Volt (the team leader)'s request for a magick user that prompted them to contact Morgan for recruitment. It was never really explained how THEY knew about her status as a witch though. So in London, Morgan and Blaze could be who they were w/out any worry...but in NYC, in the Six...being an outed mutant as still very much taboo & a career (if not life) killer. Mystech had fanned the flames of anti-mutant hysteria just enough for it to work to their advantage.

I honestly do NOT recall how the idea of making Alison and Cameron be revealed to be brother & sister came about.

Reading through these earlier threads, I can tell some of this stuff i literally made up as i went along. I honestly don't know if THAT was one of those spur of the moment things, or if Brandon or someone else had suggested it...i dont know.

I DO remember you, Vil, asking me if Alison would EVER soften up..even just a bit. I look back on these posts w/ her now & see she was INCREDIBLY cold and robotic. And again...Morgan WAS psychotic, but I think in terms of the character, it was a logical development at that time.

<< she then turned...and smirked at Black Widow....as ALL of her tech was truely frozen.....down to a molecular level...making it not only inert..but very brittle....it would break at the merest touch. she too was immobilized>>

::Listening to the conversion, once Alison mentioned Adam being alive again, it just sent pins and needles throughout her body. Shutting her eyes tightly, she couldn't take much more of this...her temper began to flare. Stepping out of the shadows, she stormed towards what looked like a bedroom from afar. Whatever it was, it was a room away from the discussion of her father. Passing the wet-bar, she violently threw her arms across it, sending all the glass and bottles flying to the ground. The loud crash made everyone stop...but Alexis kept walking and entered the bedroom slamming the door shut. ::

:: Picking up some picture frames and bottles of perfume that were sitting nicely on the dresser, she threw them against the wall with great force. Alexis slumped down to the floor and broke down crying. Ten years of finally putting her life back together after the lies and deceit Adam washed upon her as a child and young adult...Alexis couldn't take it. As much as she hated her father....loathed his very existence...he WAS the only family she ever had. When he was "killed", it was more a bittersweet victory than anything. ::

:: Hanging her head, Alexis continued to cry. Her feelings were so erratic about the situation, it was hard to know why Alexis was crying at all. The hate for her father, the thought of him being alive, the thought of him not contacting her after 10 years....him bringing pain to innocent people once again---the bastard was too much to handle. Lifting her head, she glanced across the room through foggy, tear glazed eyes, and saw a small table with a couple of glasses and what looked like a square crystal bottle of Brandy. What the hell were these people just tempting her to drink her six months of sobriety away?! ::

:: Alexis was certainly not the messed up alcoholic that crawled into her first AA meeting those many years ago, but after a day like today....the moment that just happened, Alexis couldn't stand it. Oh, how she wanted to drink that Brandy so badly...she could taste it. She wanted the pain to stop. The pain of everything that was happening to just go away. Turning her head away, tears continued to stream down her face as she shook her head lightly. This wasn't how she imagined her day to play out. This was the last thing on a long list of shitty events that she thought would happen. ::

<< the emotion from some of those present in the pent house high atop Illustra was running high. as Cameron dared to mock Spellbinder....she turned her head...and her icy violet eyes glowed as she glared at him.....>>

<< she steps up to him....already 6"1....she is now looking DOWN at him due to her high heels>>

How DARE you mock me....and my sister! I will BREAK your boney little body apart with my bare hands...if you dont SHUT YOUR MOUTH! THE ONLY REASON your ALIVE is because Guardian saved your wretched carcass. apparently you are NEEDED to help STOP this hell from consuming the city....even though your every action up to this point would suggest you are right in line with the thinking of MysTech. Now GET OUT OF MY WAY!

<< Spell upper cuts Cameron in the stomach, before shoving him forcibly out of her way as she storms out of the large, spacious observation room overlooking the city. Even PULLING her punch.. with her super strength she winds the man and leaves a painfull bruise on him. This was his first time being surrounded by women of power...women that HE couldnt manipulate....he was clearly out of his element.....it was a long way from the sunny view of california....as this sprawling city was falling into darkness in more ways than one.....and between Spellbinder and Guardian...he wasnt sure which one of them might try to kill him first. In the case of these two women, It was truly the first time his powers and his bravado meant NOTHING to those he had displayed them to>>

<< Spellbinder turned her back....to one of the walls...which featured several liquid crystal displays....on one of them..she observed ALEXIS, trashing one of the rooms in the pent house>>

THAT UNGREATFUL WENCH! Guardian! you brought these uncooth, unkept imbeciles into Illustra...and THIS is how they show gratitude!? we ought to get rid of the LOT of them...they belong down on the ground ...with the REST of the rabble!

<< Spellbinder stormed past Haleigh, shoving her aside as well....as she went toward the hall leading to the room Alexis was....but by then, Alexis was coming up the hall and the two women bumped into each other. Spellbinder quickly snatched Alexis forward...as she gripped her by the wrist....so tightly that it was starting to crack>>

HOW DARE YOU! if you touch ONE MORE THING in here..ill BEAT you within an INCH of your LIFE!

<< Spellbinder's icy violet eyes locked on to the meta human with unrelenting glare...as she rushed into the room and shoved her back away from the shelf where she had already destroyed bottles of alcohol and pictures>>

WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!? coming into MY property and trashing MY things!!

<< even as she had her fist raised...ready to strike Alexis.....she could see that this woman was TRULY distraught....there was pain, disbelief ...and rage in her eyes......the same feelings SHE had for her own father, Christopher.....and like Alexis...the mere thought of him was enough to unnerve her. After all the damage he had done.....and knowing that he had her sister in his cruel hands>>

Yes in the beginning, Alison was very robotic, but she also had an awesome power set that made her intriguing. But her "marble heart" did melt a little bit after a while :p

Let me start with an admission: I did not do all the reading. Very busy week, two kids, this was a LOT of reading for me.

But I did come away with some impressions. For some reason I like numbers.

1) Disagree with you Brandon in terms of the characters then versus now. I LIKE the way they begin because you see people who are actually typecasts of rich, spoiled, special people who all have secrets and weaknesses and foibles and need to do some growing. Knowing in some ways how the story has proceeded, it shows a lot of growth to see where they are now and it makes a lot of sense.

For example, Cam SHOULD be an entitled jerk. What else is a guy who can bed who he wants and close any deal supposed to be? His relationship with Vivica is intriguing because it is obvious that he COULD bed her and that she is attractive but in the reading I did, he doesn't. I assume that he does at some point but that he apparently does not make her his sexual fallback whenever his bed is empty speaks volumes in and of itself. By the way, I miss Vivica.

2) Seeing Alison as an assistant is jarring. I could never imagine the Alison of now or even in my time as simply the assistant. But she is so well played that it is obvious that her role would expand.

3) Haleigh, Haleigh, Haleigh. Reading Haleigh again is like putting on an old comfortable sweater. I forgot how cool and sexual and primal and awesome she is played by Lexi. Haleigh, more than anyone in the Six, oozes sensuality in a way that the rest are almost afraid to do even if they desired. Much of it is her attitude, but Lexi just has a talent for that. The only thing that stuck out to me like a sore thumb was her missing the assistants name. SO NOT HALEIGH. But then this is pre-T.O. visrus isn't it so maybe it is? Interesting.

This is all going to be very fun. As someone who came along later I will mostly be getting your own insights into what happened before I chime in. I find them invaluable.

one thing i can clearly remember was that when "Alison" first appeared, her name (as i was using it) was a direct reference to a character on Melrose Place of the same name...pretty much all the characters caught on to that. It's interesting to look back & read these threads, especially the first one...& see how it became more & more necessary to expland the character of Alison. I honestly didnt intend for her to be anything more than a MP reference...but she just GREW & it felt right as she expanded. It helped that VIL was really pushing for her to be expanded. Im glad i listened to her urging on that

& we, especially I will look forward to YOUR observations in these discussions as well!

I like how vil poses questions for everyone to answer. & for me, commenting on these past threads/stories is like reading the foreward/afterward inserts of TPBs of famous comic storylines from the authors/pencilers of those stories as they look back.

I appreciate the response.

Another thing I noticed immediately. Spellbinder ALWAYS has an icy voice. Cameron has his snark/snooty set to 10. But of you contrats that to now, after their trials, loves, losses and family group found in the Six, both of them, indeed everyone, is a lot warmer. It seems really organic and I have noticed it since the time I arrived but I am seeing that it was a much longer work in progress, which is awesome.

If I remember correctly, I think Farrah and I were talking in the shout box about how much Alison and Cameron just DESPISED each other, and were talking about just ridiculous things that could happen between them... Among them SLEEPING together and then...one of us was like "or what if they found out they were related!" and we laughed and then were like.... "no..really! Let's make them related!" LOL..

Thought I would post little notes that I made along the way while reading:

The Six Discussion Group Notes:

The Nightmare Begins:

Okay Morgan's accommodations in the beginning were RIDICULOUS lol. A 10 BEDROOM Apartment? LOL.

I loved Morgan's dream sequence.. It all felt very "Charmed" like.. I love the imagery of the wind blowing through the screen doors and the soft chimes. Reminds me kind of the opening scene on the Pilot of Charmed.

Wow..Cameron is racist. Among other things... The whole "Look, Carlos. I know you don't "speaka" the English very well..." sentence makes me cringe. Ugh.

He is the epitome of an ugly successful businessman. He hated dealing with people he felt "beneath him". Ugh.. What an asshole. I see now why everyone in the Six basically HATED him lol.

I really like Blaze's opening post. This is Heather at her best. I love the set up and the imagery. It's not over the top and really paints the picture of where Blaze is being held. Love it.

Alexis' opening post was very funny to me.. I love that Sam felt the need to tell us Alexis' bra size lol. And oh... poor Athena, if only we knew then the fate that dog would suffer HAHA. Still one of my favorite moments in the Six.

As for Eva? She was weird.. and to be honest, that was kind of Leslie as well. She never really meshed well with us as a group and I think it's apparent in her posts. She always kind of came off as SMUG to me, even when compared to rest of us. I never liked this way that she always "already" knew what was going on or how to get out of a situation.. a Poor Man's Persephone lol.

Return to Illustra:

First of all I love this quote from Cameron:

"From what I have heard about this Morgan Victoria, it is that she is a ballbuster. If she busts mine, I'll have to bust yours." [to Vivica] LOL.

It's funny because I know the whole point of us doing The Six was that these people were SUPPOSED to be polarizing but we just went so over the top, and I love a lot of the bitchy barbs that we threw whenever we got the chance lol.

Alexis: "Okay, we have yet another bratty has-been model to interview today.."

haha and

"Oh, and tell Janet if it's not perfect she will not only be fired, I will make sure she can't even get a job at Nickelodeon magazine."

and then of course, we have the introduction of Haleigh:

I loved her opening post. How LCI is a front for Clandestine Intelligence. I love the back and forth between her and Cassandra in the beginning.. Did Cassandra Allusi DIE later on because I don't remember what happened to her...

To me she seemed the most "realized character" at the time. Well rounded. I instantly fell in love with her.

I do like how we set it up for all the characters to "meet" at Illustra.

AND YEAH...Cameron is really painful for me to read. I don't know why he feels the need to have Vivica "check him in" to Illustra instead of doing so himself.

The introduction of the horrible and most INSUFFERABLE woman of the Six at the time... Alison. From the GATE she was a bitch, and hated EVERYONE and EVERYTHING but Morgan.. and I forgot Farrah was trying to pass Alison off as 29 and having her be played by Lynda Carter lol.

Cameron and Morgan's meeting about the Parthenon.. I like how we tied in the Parthenon's Paris Location being the hotel that Valiant stayed at in their last caper. Very nice.

My favorite quote in the meeting..

Morgan: Mr. King, Illustra does not advertise on buses or banners.

LOL. Oh we're so sorry to offend your senses, Morgan! *eyeroll* lol. I also love that she doesn't know him and is immediately pissed off by his mere existence lol.

Cameron: I came to you because you are supposed to be the best, and I have yet to see that...

HAHA.

And Morgan is a MESS with her dreams and her going crazy during the meeting between her and Cam lol.

I love how Haleigh is true to form and as soon as she walks through the DOOR she is running a background check on Morgan.

Sidebar: I am so glad we got separate accounts for Alison and Oracle. Made reading everything sooooo much easier!

The WHOLE build up between the interview with Morgan and Alexis is just hysterical! Alexis and Morgan are so ridiculous CATTY. I'd like to share my favorite quotes:

Morgan: << in an icy voice>>: well....isnt this a surprise...Alexis...here for an interview...EARLY for once. Youll pardon my receptionist if she wasnt prepared for anyone from Tempo magazine to arrive on time...as they never have in the past.

Alexis: "Why Morgan, have you done something different with your makeup? You look a little less savage than usual...or did you get up on the right side of the coffin today?"

Alison calling her the "Patty Hearst" of the Fashion World lol.

Alexis: Ignore, Alison. Everybody else does... LOL! That might be my favorite!

I love that Alexis just goes in HARD on Morgan...basically saying like "So bitch, are you a WITCH, and don't mince words.. I mean do you cast spells and slay demons and shit!" lol. Even when Morgan tried to downplay it all with "What model hasn't been called a "witch" at one point?" I'm really starting to like Alexis here.

And then how at the end of the thread, Haleigh just comes right out and is like "So.. how is your dead sister, or your mother who is in witness protection? I mean what a damn DAY for Morgan Victoria lol.

to look back is so much fun but it does make me cringe @ times. i think in the beginning we were all (@ times) tryiing too hard LOL
I have only read the first two so far (coming back for the next two later tonight) but so far i am very much just enjoying the story and getting familiar with the characters. For obvious reasons, being a noob, I'm not sure how much I can chime in on how the characters have changed and what not but I really like the tensions between them. I will probably like them as friends as well but here at this introductory stage I like the animosity/ stand-offishness that echoes through the scenes, it keeps me on my toes and I want to see where it's going.

He's a douche, I'll admit, but I have a soft spot for Cameron and really wanna see where he is gonna go as a character.

Too be continued soon...

Whoo Hoo! Cameron for the win! ;)
I don't think I found Cameron hate-able early on. HALEIGH I hated forever, though now reading back through, I can appreciate her early on knowing that she's changed.

dinner and despair:

Sizzling hot chemistry between Alexis and Cameron. Way to go.
I like and don't like Morgan. Sometimes she feels over the top but then simmers down so it kind of sorts itself out but I feel a bit puzzled as to how to react to her. I hope I'm not insulting anyone, just trying to be honest.
Lol, I love Haleigh flippantly calling her 'rabbit'. They are very catty with each other which I think is rather fun.
As for Eva... I don't really feel that I care for her yet. I get a bit thrown whenever it's a post about her and honestly don't feel particularly interested in her.

Escape to Illustra
It's nice to see that Cameron (though bordering on the brink of psychotic ;)) desperately tries it find Vi when he thinks she's hurt!
This is a very exciting piece! I read it like a fiend!

Hmm...

>>

Doesn't help my conflicted feelings about Spellbinder.

Any way, can't wait to read more!

You're not offending me @ all! :) I play Spellbinder & I totally concede that she was a psychotic MESS in the begining of The six LOL :D but she had many legitimate reasons for being as broken as she was.
Sorry I'm late to the party.

Let the records show that Haleigh's assistant/friend/whatever, Cassandra Alluisi, is not me [Ruby/Cassandra Johnson]. :)

Can somebody please explain the whole Alexis/Ava/Tempest thing? Who was the character image for Tempest? I noticed in her signature it was Angelina Jolie but PERSEPHONE/AVA has AJ as the character image. Also, who was the character image for ALEXIS? Me = thoroughly confused

I think it would be good to have images of the [minor] characters in the threads so it won't be confusing for people reading along.

And I am assuming that Guardian used to be the codename for Alison?

Interesting setup. I like the fact they don't get along. Can't wait to see how the friendships develop. :)

oh girl, we know Haleigh's Cass isn't your character! LOL :p you werent even here @ the time!
The character Tempest' AI was Angelina Jolie. The character was played by somebody who no longer RPs with us and never even finished the first storyline... so her character is kind of a moot point.

Alexis' AI is Charlize Theron.. but to be honest, over the years we've really changed them quite a bit. At least I have changed Cameron's AI a lot.

Guardian is Alison's original codename and it's obvious she wasn't a main character at the time and didn't have her own account yet.

Read through this thread, SL and it might answer some other questions you have.

ETA: When Sam decided to stop playing Alexis, and switched to Persephone, she chose Angeline Jolie because the original character who used that AI was just really not even there long enough to establish herself.
