I'll tell you in another lifetime when we are both
This comic was so good I posted this on my old site and I want to plug it here as well!

This is the comic that could turn Sinosleep and SpellBinder into Wolverine fans! I can't describe how powerful this issue is, words actually do fail to do it justice, the issue is a work of literature art, a masterpiece, arguably one of the finest comic issues of all time and that is all that can be said of it.

Heart pounding simply, heart thumping the narrative is so excellently executed that for brief seconds you can hear Wolverine as each sentence jumps out at you and bathes your mind in the dire situation Wolverine is in.

If they made a movie about Wolverine, I pray it is about this issue.

Now lets discuss this issue. It's hard to talk about this issue without mentioning Sin City or X-factor, this stand alone issue has that same stylised artwork ripping throgh the pages that never lets you forget your reading a comic but somehow manages to draw you closer into its reality!

But art work aside, The story; Wolverine has been asked by the Black Panther to extract a baby from a war-torn African Country, gone is the hack and slash that we normally see in Logan and suddenly he is plunged into a stealthy run for the life of the innocent strapped to his chest. Originally simple and yet thought provoking, and tense. You can't ask anything more of the plot really!

You must read this issue!

Easily and simply the best comic involving Wolverine I've read in the last ten years!

well holy jesus...i dont recall anyone lauding ANYTHING involving Wolverine for quite some time. Is this a CURRENT issue? if so, then i may purchase it (or at least browse through it at the store lol) when i go to the comic store this week.

Well...Wolverine? Interesting? That's unheard of. *sticks tongue out* But I MUST admit that the whole Black Panther and the baby thing seems...semi-cool. Thank you for sharing this with us all. I might just look into it more...

They better NOT make a movie about Wolverine...again. What are X-Men and X2? Wolverine movies. :lec:

It's worth the price.

That was a good issue, reminscient of Wolvie from Claremont's era, a guy trying to keep his cool and not be a beast or thug. The Wolverine that strove to be a samurai and not a ninja. It was kind of enlightening in the sense the Logan said he had never been to country that bad off, after BP had inferred that he thought Logan had seen worse. He wasn't just a tough guy proving he's 'the best' but a guy who agonized over what he had to do. Definitely a good read as you don't get Fanboy Wolverine, but the man named Logan.

Took the words out of my mouth
Well, let it be known that I HATE Wolverine. I would never have bought any Wolvie comic only if it has to do with Civil War. But I listened to you DDD and look where it got me. I'm AMAZED!!!! I would like to thank everyone in this thread for informing and convincing me that this was a great issue. If there are going to be more of these, then I will defiantly pick up this title every month. GREAT ISSUE!

Unfortunately no, that was a stand alone issue. Wolverine #42 onwards is going to nosedive in terms of quality. You should have really picked up the arc before Origns and Endings and jumped on board his Ongoing Wolverine: Origins comics.

I hated Wolverine for a few years now Origins and Endings and now Origins has found within me a new respect for the character.

I am picking up Wolverine: Origins. But I missed the ones you listed. Wolverine #41 was a great comic, and I am disappointed that there wont be more of those.
