The best thing about the movie?Gambit wasn't in it. That way my favorite character remains unmolested by a watered-down storyline.

LOL, mat. I was so offended when i first read that. I was like 'ugh! how could he say that! I love Gambit! I was so disappointed when I found out he wouldnt be in it!

But then i read the following sentence and couldn't help but agree.

Although I was curious to see who they might cast to play the Ragin' Cajun, ultimately I'm glad I didn't get a soured version of him. At least this way his integrity is preserved. I freely admit I'm not well versed in comics, but from what I DO know... I always liked Gambit.

Storm showed strength of heart AND of will... and she stood up to lead the Xmen when all seemed loss. I liked that-- strong women characters and all-- and I think Storm is a VERY well put-together character.

If i HAD to pick a character from the movie [NOT one of the mains, but a newly introduced] that I most enjoyed watching.... It would definitely be Kitty. She had a less OFFENSIVE power... and she was an underdog... but she was resourseful and tactful and she managed to prevail nonetheless, and THAT... is one thing the writers got right [that is to say, they didn't dilute the character strength and Kitty had some defining moments.]

They screwed this one up big time! If you throw out the fact that the entire x-men comic collection was thrown out, it was at least "entertaining" in the sense of special effects and such. I just hope they drop Wolverine or something if they do a sequel. I like him as a character, but the way they focus on him so much, just makes me dislike him more.

I was reading the credits and saw Psyloche and Jubilee, while I read where you guys pointed out who Psyloche was (the nerve of this damn director) where the hell was Jubilee, I don't like her as a character, but she was vaguely in the 2nd one, and mentioned in the credits in this one, but I don't know where she actually was.

I just don't understand the point of introducing characters if they are not going to have any impact on the movie. Why not just develope a solid team of 6-8 X-men and have them face one or two powerful foes.

One things for certain, I hope they don't get too carried away and introduce Apocalypse, because I know that they would fck that up, the Sentinels did seem promising though.

Jubilee only appeared in "class room" scenes inside the X-mansion in the X2 and X3. Never using her powers and only having a couple of lines at most. AT LEAST they expanded Shadowcat's (Kitty) role from the second to the third one. Watching her outwit the Juggernaut was very enjoyable.

I really hope they DON'T do a forth film, this one was "eye popping" yes, but HARDLY redeming when it comes to the total lack of respect for the comic and of course...there's this problem called "WOLVERINE"

Well my thoughts on Xmen 3 are as follows

1. It was a good movie outside of the Xmen Universe. As a standalone taking out the comics it was a pretty good movie.

2. Compaired to the comic the movie was crap.

3. The reason for alot of the changes like with Juggernaut and his family ties or powers is due to the way they made the movie based off the newer Ultimate Xmen and the Old School Xmen tied into one movie. This is why certain characters werent the way they were before.

4. Alot of the movie had letdowns, like I wanted to see more of Colossus and the Inevitable fight between Iceman and Pyro could have been much better.

5. All the mutants who were depowered will be back. Remember Leeches "Cure" doesnt kill the X-gene it supresses it which is why when you go away from him your powers come back. The body will eventually reject the Cure as a foriegn virus and your powers will come back since its not native to your body. Note the last sence with magneto.

6. I dont think Jean killed Cyclops or Professor X, because this isnt like the comic book pheonix who took over jeans body and actually replaced her, this is Jean in the back of her mind I bet she just put them say elsewhere if anything. Thats why they played off scott so quickly. Also any Xmen fan knows that Xmen dont die they just leave for a little while.

7. As a comic book fan I give this movie a 6/10 as a Movie fan I give this move a 9/10 so over all I see it getting a 7.5 out of 10. Its better seen in theaters since the special effects are amazing but it should also make a decent rental.

No "X4" But Spin-Offs Still Planned

With "X-Men: The Last Stand" opening big at the box-office, speculation quickly arose that a fourth "X-Men" film may be rushed into development. The talk came despite the studios insistence that 'The Last Stand' would be the final film in the trilogy.

Well Fox are sticking to their guns, but Marvel head Avi Arad confirmed that there are no plans for an "X-Men 4" in the works, but their two proposed spin-off films are still very much on the cards.

Arad told the trades that "The first reaction, which we should discard, is here comes 'X-Men 4'. We're working on 'Wolverine,' which is definitely a continuation, and we have a very interesting script about a young Magneto".

Will Fox change their tune and pressure him for a fourth? Seems unlikely due to the expense involved. In many ways it now seems that "Wolverine" will serve as the unofficial fourth film sometime either in 2008 or 2009.

A wolverine movie? There have already been 3 Wolverine Movies, they were called Xmen, X2 and X3.

The original Titles were
Wolverine Presents - X-men
X2 - All about wolverine
X3 - Wolverine Vs Pheonix (Guest staring X-Men)

Ooooh, I like the Magneto idea! I love Magneto. Mostly I love Ian McKellan, but the scene in 3 where he reveals his number tattoo was sooo good. Thing is, they'd screw it up. *sigh*

Ugh, I don't want a damn Wolverine movie....every freakin' X-Men movie was centered around Wolverine. How lame.

Well, considering I never read one X-Men comic (actually, I did, but it was a total Wolverine and Yuriko one), I LOVED the movie. Although of course it was very Wolverine-centered, like them all, I can see why. Hugh is a huge member of the cast and rakes in a lot of fans, and despite my ultimate dislike for Wolverine, I can't really complain about him being such an intricate member of the team in the movies for the simple fact that Hugh has a lot of fans, and brings in a lot of money, which movies are all about.

I also loved Shadowcats role in the film, I was very upset that they kept changing the actress that played her with each film, but I thinked the latest actress did a wonderful job, and seeing her in such a large role in the film was awesome (ecspecially how she 'defeated' Juggernaut, that whole battle was very enjoyable).

So coming from a fan who HASN'T read the comics, this movie appealed to me greatly, like all of the other X-movies. So, for once I'm thankful I'm not a big comic fan, because if I was I would've probably hated it ;).

This movie SUCKED! I wanted to walk out, but I stayed for Jess. The movie was slightly better than the first two films. But the....

Cyclops death scene was LAME! They didn't even show it, which I thought they should have. The death of Scott had a huge impact on the movie and Jean, especially since she killed him. The floating sunglasses was ridiculous.

I was disappointed in Kitty, I thought the film would show more of her. And what the hell is up with Iceman and Kitty? lol The director seemed to be trying TOO hard to impress viewers.

The ending proved the effects of the cure will wear off. I thought the San Fransisco bridge scene was over the top lol. It was more than dramatic and I couldn't help but laugh.

Leech was done poorly, in the cartoon he resembled an alien not a human boy. And I'm not even going into how bad beast looked, they should have sought a better actor.

I wasn't feeling the movie at all, I was waiting for it to end. They really should have waited longer to film.

I think the reason they killed Scott off was because (at least I thought) the actor who was playing him had a role in the movie, Superman. I could be wrong though.
